ARC Raiders Gear Optimization Explained | The Loadouts That Actually Win Fights

Category: ARC Raiders Posted: Feb 13, 2026 Views: 955

ARC Raiders' cycle is to find resources in matches, upgrade gear, and then use more gear to find more resources. Unless you enter a match empty-handed and leave to find blueprints, gear is always something you need to consider before entering a match.

Here's a look at what you should bring into matches to help you make the most of your stash and enter matches more easily.

ARC Raiders Gear Optimization Explained | The Loadouts That Actually Win Fights

Weapon Selection

There's no absolute answer to weapon selection; the key is to find one that suits your playstyle. Map type also influences weapon combinations. The following selections are based on player experience.

PvP Weapons

If you participate in PvP matches, you'll need a mid-range weapon and a high-burst melee weapon. Mid-range weapons are usually effective at clearing ARC.

Economical Weapons

  • Primary Weapon: Ferro Level 4
  • Secondary Weapon: Stitcher Level 3

This combination is sufficient for most encounters. To boost performance, you can replace Ferro 4 with either Renegade or Anvil; both perform excellently in player-versus-player combat.

Unless you're using a fully automatic assault rifle, it's best to carry Stitcher to ensure sufficient rate of fire in close combat. If you prefer pure precision weapons, then IL Toro is a good secondary weapon.

Venator 4 and IL Toro 4 are also a great combination. Venator 4 has a long effective range, making it usable as a mid-range weapon, while IL Toro 4 is useful in close-quarters firefights.

High Value Weapons

  • Primary weapon: Tempest
  • Secondary weapon: IL Toro 4

Tempest is an epic weapon, but if you're at a higher level, you should have already found its ARC Raiders blueprints. It provides powerful mid-range firepower, and if the enemy closes in, you can immediately switch to IL Toro 4 to counter.

Other Options

Kettle: Even nerfed, it's still a good budget option; just invest more in its attachments.

Bobcat and Volcano: These two weapons have very high close-range damage, but their crafting, upgrades, and attachment costs are high.

PvE Weapons

In a PvE environment, your only enemy is ARC, so you can safely use some high-value weapons, such as the three Legendary weapons. Below are their best use cases.

  • Equalizer: Can strip the armor of heavy ARCs; only recommended against giant units like Queen and Matriarch.
  • Jupiter: Has pure penetration; excellent against small ARCs and can also effectively damage the weak points of large ARCs, such as Queen or Matriarch's core.
  • Aphelion: Similar armor stripping ability to Equalizer. If you are challenging trials or specifically farming a certain type of ARC, you can also use it depending on your goal.

Non-Legendary Choices

  • Renegade: A very cost-effective weapon, suitable for any PvE scenario. Its accuracy is extremely high; you only need to focus on aiming for weak points.
  • Ferro and Anvil: Both weapons have low crafting and upgrade costs, but their armor-piercing capabilities are excellent.
  • Bettina and Hullcracker: These two weapons are valuable, but their efficiency in killing ARCs justifies their cost.

Medical Supplies

Choosing medical supplies is actually quite simple, as only a few are used frequently, and each one is powerful enough.

When funds are tight, regular bandages are perfectly adequate, and you can even craft them on the spot from fabric during raids. When your budget allows, you can choose Vita Shot, which instantly restores a significant amount of health.

Herbal bandages are a staple resource for most players; you can always stock up on two or three rows in the stash. Their cost is also very low; you simply need to refine fabric into durable cloth and then combine it with Great Mullein to craft them.

Shield Recharger

Shield Rechargers are almost a necessity in every match. It's recommended to always carry five, and sometimes an extra one or two Surge Shield Rechargers. You can use a Shield Recharger on a blue shield, then immediately use a Surge Shield Recharger while it's charging to instantly restore your shield to full. This technique can often save your life during deliveries.

Adrenaline Shot

Adrenaline Shots can be crafted at Medical Lab bench. Adrenaline Shots can greatly improve your game's pace. Even carrying only two or three per match allows you to reach your target area faster from your spawn point, reducing the risk of being ambushed by ARCs or other players in open areas.

Other Options

  • Defibrillator: A must-have for team play.
  • Vita Spray: Hold down to continuously restore instantaneous health, similar to a Surge Shield Recharger.

Augments

Looting Mk. 3 (Survivor) remains the strongest Augment currently available. It provides ample carrying capacity and item slots, along with five active health slots, one utility slot, and the capacity to hold a medium shield. Most importantly, it has three safe slots. Later in the game, it's recommended to collect Processors from yellow storage lockers to craft it readily.

Transitional Augments

  • Looting Mk. 2: Not very valuable, but has a large capacity, suitable for beginners or players who have reset their game.
  • Looting Mk. 3 (Safekeeper): A newly added module that allows you to place a weapon in a safe slot, useful in certain matchups.
  • Tactical Mk. 3 (Healing): Comes with a built-in assault charge; although it goes on cooldown after use, its overall value remains high.
  • Tactical Mk. 2: Releases a smoke grenade when health is low, very useful in PvP.

Shield System

  • Rare Medium Shield is the best choice. It's easy to craft, provides three extra health slots, and doesn't excessively affect carrying capacity.
  • Epic Heavy Shield performs exceptionally well on Stella Montis map with high-end gear, making it suitable for players who want to tank damage.
  • Uncommon Light Shield is very light but also doesn't withstand much damage, so it's only recommended for beginners, or better yet, not used at all.

These are the gear combinations for ARC Raiders. Of course, there are other items like the grappling hook and bombs not mentioned here. They have many uses, and you'll need to choose which to use based on your match.
