ARC Raiders Ultimate PC Settings Guide after Headwinds Update Released | Max FPS & Visibility and Best Graphics

Category: ARC Raiders Posted: Jan 31, 2026 Views: 1980

Despite being a game released only three months ago, ARC Raiders has already received multiple updates. This not only signifies the continuous enrichment of game content but also indicates ongoing optimization of the game's background settings.

As we all know, shooting games demand high-level game settings, because in open-world environments, you must ensure accuracy, responsive character movement, and other crucial elements.

This time, based on the current state of the game after Headwinds update, we'll provide recommended game settings for playing ARC Raiders on PC.

Device settings adjustment

While ARC Raiders is available on multiple platforms, due to the nature of shooting games, PC offers the best user experience - provided you use the correct settings!

This time, we'll use Windows 11 as an example. First, it's best to turn off the game bar settings, otherwise it may cause frame rate drops or other random bugs. Then, change your default graphics settings to ensure hardware acceleration GPU scheduling is enabled.

Furthermore, we recommend enabling Game Mode to ensure all resources are prioritized for your game, avoiding stuttering or other issues.

Regarding power management, Best Performance mode is generally better, but Balanced mode is also quite good now, allowing you to achieve higher turbo frequencies and longer turbo durations.

NVIDIA settings adjustment

This section manages your PC's graphics card settings and display configurations, which can be used to optimize game performance, color settings, manage resolution, and configure GPU behavior.

To achieve a better ARC Raiders experience through these adjustments, first ensure your NVIDIA drivers are up-to-date, then use the global settings. If you want to limit frame rates, you can enable low latency mode.

In terms of color settings, increasing saturation slightly is better, ideally by 5-10 points above the default value. This makes enemies easier to spot in the game.

If you are using an RTX GPU, we recommend using DLSS, or NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling. This technology renders games at a lower resolution and then uses artificial intelligence to upscale them to a higher resolution.

This will significantly improve your frame rate and even provide higher image quality than the native resolution.

In-game settings changes

Before modifying the in-game settings, we assume your device is compatible with DLSS. Based on this, your frame rate will initially improve by approximately 12% (this also includes the impact of device settings).

Regarding game image clarity, you can choose to enable Quality & Balance and Transformer mode, which is DLSS4. If you don't have an RTX GPU, Ultra High Quality setting in XSS will also work.

When using DLSS, the higher the in-game field of view setting, the lower the frame rate. You can adjust this according to your preference; we generally recommend 60-70 FPS.

Next, motion blur should be set to zero; rate tracing must be set to static; and the view distance value should not be too low, otherwise, many objects will suddenly appear during movement, and image noise will increase, compromising visibility.

As for shadow quality, you can lower it to improve performance. Lowering reflection effects and post-processing quality has the same effect, and the latter can further improve visibility.

Texture quality adjustments are primarily based on your VRAM; the more VRAM you have, the higher the texture quality value can be retained.

To further ensure stable frame rates and improve performance, you can also adjust the following settings:

  • Avoid over-setting particle effects.
  • Reduce vegetation quality to low.
  • Reduce global illumination resolution to low.

Additionally, enabling performance monitoring and setting it to detailed mode allows you to view more statistics while ensuring your computer is running normally.

Enabling power saving mode and inactive window power saving mode can prevent overload when you frequently switch windows.

Gameplay-related settings

The above mainly focuses on the smoothness and stability of game operation and the impact on game graphics. However, some internal settings are even more important because they directly affect your kill experience and results.

First, all weapons in ARC Raiders have bullet spread, meaning that bullets will deviate within a certain range after being fired, even if you aim perfectly.

To improve this, besides adding attachments, you should also enable Override Crosshair Shape and Weapon Crosshair Center Point in the crosshair settings, along with the following additional numerical and status modifications:

  • Set the crosshair shape to rounded diamond.
  • Set the crosshair center point radius to 3.
  • Set both the crosshair length and thickness to 1.
  • Set the crosshair opacity to 100%.
  • Set the crosshair color to red.
  • Change all other settings to zero.

Furthermore, crouching can reduce bullet spread more quickly, so if the environment allows, crouching before firing will be more effective and provide better concealment.

It's worth mentioning that if you want to crouch more quickly and conveniently, you can bind this function to the left mouse button, as you'll use it frequently once you get used to it. Other recommended shortcut settings and their functions are as follows:

  • Shoulder Switch: Right Mouse Button. This allows for easier use of cover.
  • Walk: Scroll the mouse wheel down. This avoids footsteps and increases movement speed.
  • Disarm: C key, easier to press while flying.
  • Flashlight: F key. This will be more convenient, especially when moving on night maps.

As for control settings, it largely depends on your personal PC usage habits, so you can try different combinations on Practice Range map in the game to find the horizontal and vertical sensitivity that suits you best.

That concludes this guide. Hopefully, this setup guide will help improve your future ARC Raiders experience! Thank you for reading!
