WoW Classic 20th Anniversary 7 Best Gold Making Locations | Best Solo And Duo Farms to Stockpile Wealth before TBC Pre-Patch

With the upcoming WoW Classic 20th Anniversary update to The Burning Crusade pre-patch, stockpiling gold is more important than ever.
Flying mounts, skill training fees, professions, and various preparations will quickly deplete your wealth. Entering TBC expansion with a sufficient gold reserve will make your gaming experience much easier.
Below are some gold farming methods before the pre-patch. Most of these are well-suited for solo play, while a few are more efficient when cooperating with another player.

1. Azshara
This area is home to Satyrs who drop Felcloth, which is your primary gold farming target. The value of Felcloth varies across servers, but should be around 5 gold.
Felcloth is in high demand because it's used to craft Mooncloth, high-value bags, and important tailoring items, especially with TBC pre-patch approaching.
Besides Felcloth, these Satyrs also drop Runecloth, merchant miscellaneous items, and occasionally uncommon items that can be sold or disenchanted.
Most classes can easily solo this farm without special gear or professions. You can adjust the number of mobs you pull based on your class and comfort level. The mob spawn rate here is generally good, making farming this farm very low-risk.
2. Scarlet Monastery Graveyard, Tirisfal Glades
This farm spot is especially excellent if your profession is Herbalism, as you can gather resources undisturbed. Inside the instance, you primarily gather Grave Moss, along with Kingsblood, Fadeleaf, and Goldthorn.
This farm is suitable for all classes as long as your level is high enough. Normal monsters are around level 30-32, while elite monsters reach a maximum level of 34, making this a very safe area for high-level players. Besides herbs, this dungeon also drops several valuable items:
- Chain of the Scarlet Crusade pieces
- Freezing Shard
- Quillshooter
- Corpseshroud
- Feet of the Lynx
3. Wetlands
In this area, your primary farming objective is Tiny Crimson Whelpling. Simply farming Whelpings monsters gives you a chance to obtain a Tiny Crimson Whelpling pet.
These are among the rarest farmable pets in WoW 20th Classic. Due to their rarity and high demand, this pet can sell for a significant amount of gold on most servers.
This farming spot is suitable for all classes, especially for leveling. Because the monsters are relatively low-level and easy to kill, you can farm at a relaxed pace without special equipment or preparation.
Even if the pet doesn't drop, this farming spot is still worth trying. These monsters frequently drop Small Flame Sacs, which can be used for crafting and consumables. They are usually worth around 1 WoW Classic 20th Anniversary gold.
Additionally, you can loot merchant junk and uncommon items. If you've learned Skinning skill, you can also obtain leather, and these gains accumulate to a considerable amount over time.
4. Tanaris Coast
This farm spot is primarily for players who have learned Skinning skill. Your target is Steeljaw Snapper, which is abundant along Tanaris coast.
The main item you'll farm here is Turtle Scales, which can be used for leatherworking and can also be sold directly at the auction house. After learning Skinning, you can also obtain Thick Leather and Heavy Leather, both of which are valuable.
This farm spot is suitable for all classes and is very easy to complete. Because Steeljaw Snapper are distributed along the coastline and spawn quickly, there is usually little competition, especially during off-peak hours. If you've learned Skinning and want a simple, stable gold farm this is a solid choice.
5. Un'Goro Crater
This farm is also great for players who have learned Skinning. Your targets are Devilsaurs, Ironhide Devilsaurs, Tyrant Devilsaur, and King Mosh. To use Skinning on these monsters, your skill level needs to be at least 270.
There's a small chance to get Devilsaur Leather from killing Devilsaurs, but you're guaranteed to get it every time you skin them. This is why this farm is extremely valuable for professional players; when competition is low, it's incredibly profitable.
Devilsaur Leather is always in high demand because it's used to craft pre-raid and raid gear, especially favored by melee classes. You don't have to worry about selling it.
However, since these Devils share a spawn point, this means that once one is killed, the next one will spawn approximately 14 to 16 minutes later, and it could be any of the three types.
This farm spot is most effective if you can time the spawns and move efficiently between locations. If you're willing to invest the time, this is one of the best skinning farm spots in the game.
6. Winterspring, Darkwhisper Gorge
At this farm, you'll be slaying Hederine Slayers. They are elite demon monsters, so they are very powerful and have high attack power. They drop Runecloth, merchant junk, and some equipment, but these aren't the main focus.
They have a chance to drop The Eye of Shadow, a unique item used for important endgame quests and crafting, especially important for priests. Due to their extreme rarity, they are in high demand.
Because these Hederine Slayers are quite dangerous, it is strongly recommended that at least two players team up for this farm. Bringing a friend will make the farm process much safer and more efficient.
7. Shadow Fang Keep, Silverpine Forest
Shadow Fang Keep dungeon is suitable for all classes. You can choose to farm it solo or in a group with other classes. You'll encounter some level 20+ monsters here. If your level is high, this dungeon will be safer and more efficient.
The main reason to farm here is that Shadow Fang Keep has a large amount of valuable BoE items. These BoE drops are always in demand, and if you're lucky, this farm can be extremely profitable. You should pay attention to the following items:
- Shadowfang
- Night Reaver
- Witching Stave
- Black Malice
These items sell well, especially among players leveling alts. Since this is a dungeon farm, you can run it repeatedly, resetting after completion, completely avoiding competition in the open world.
These farms can help you accumulate wealth before TBC pre-patch. If some farms are too competitive, you can combine multiple methods. Before you start farming, it's best to check the value of each item and choose the most efficient farming method.
