Path of Exile 3.29 Endgame Kineticist Mercenary Guide: Avoid Overpaying from 10 Divines to 5 Mirrors

Players, if you want to play a Kineticist in the current Path of Exile 3.29, it's not cheap in this league because it can't be farmed specifically on Atlas tree. A decent Kineticist will generally cost ten times more than a Wild Strike Mercenary of the same quality.
Therefore, we've compiled a list of key points for choosing a Kineticist Mercenary to help you identify high-priced traps in PoE.
Skill Selection
Primary Skills
The first two fixed skills for a Kineticist are always Elemental Weakness and Flame Wall. There are six other skills that can be changed, with Kinetic Blast of Clustering being the absolute first choice, excelling in both single-target damage and area-of-effect clearing.
Kinetic Bolt has decent area-of-effect clearing ability but is severely lacking in single-target damage. Barrage is only useful in single-target scenarios and used infrequently. Greater Kinetic Blast has an 8-second cooldown, meaning it can only be cast approximately every eight seconds.
While Kinetic Rain of Impact deals decent damage to large targets, its map clearing ability falls short, so it's best not to waste your PoE currency here.
Power Siphon is rarely used, so we can ignore it here as well.
Overall, when choosing a Kineticist, it's best to avoid Kinetic Bolt, Power Siphon, and Kinetic Rain of Impact, as these skills will alternate with Kinetic Blast of Clustering, resulting in a direct loss of approximately 50% of your effective damage output.

Auras and Movement Skills
Haste is a very powerful aura, providing Kineticists with approximately 27% attack speed, equivalent to an extra Faster Attacks II support gem.
As for movement skills, Flame Dash or Frostblink are acceptable and not considered useless affixes.
Some players believe that equipping Kineticist with a movement skill is better than Inspiring Cry, because while Inspiring Cry is active, Kineticist stops attacking and only provides a 25% damage increase, while Flame Dash doesn't trigger in single-target combat and has no negative impact on DPS rhythm.
Therefore, two movement skills - Flame Dash or Frost Blink - are the more ideal choices.
Core Support Gems
Furthermore, support gems are an important factor to consider when choosing Kineticist in PoE 3.29.
Return III is the most important support gem for Kinetic Blast of Clustering. It allows projectiles to penetrate targets, explode in mid-air, return, and trigger another explosion, effectively doubling the damage.
In addition to Return III, Kineticist also needs at least one support gem to help clear the map.
Chain II
Projectiles chain to subsequent targets after penetrating the first target, triggering an explosion on each hit. It has the best coverage effect on scattered groups of monsters and offers the best overall performance.
Greater Fork III
Also compatible with Kinetic Blast of Clustering mechanic, it's highly efficient at clearing dense monster groups in Path of Exile, slightly less efficient than Chain II but still an excellent choice.
Pierce III
Compared to Chain II and Greater Fork III, this support gem is weaker, but still usable by Kineticists.
In any case, Kineticists must possess at least one of the three clearing support gems for them to be worthwhile in PoE.
Different Price Strategies
Minimum Configuration
If your currency is extremely limited, prioritize Kineticists with Kinetic Blast of Clustering and Return III, plus the Barrage and Greater Kinetic Blast skills.
This configuration starts at around 10 Divine Orbs, sufficient for clearing in Path of Exile 3.29, though single-target damage output is less than ideal.

Mid-Game Configuration
Once your resources become more abundant, you can consider adding a Haste aura to the minimum configuration mentioned above. This will significantly increase the price to over 15 Divines, but your Kineticist's overall performance in the game will be noticeably improved.
Advanced Configuration
Having already obtained Return III and a map-clearing support gem, you'll need to add at least one more damage-focused support gem, such as Elemental Damage with Attacks or Critical Damage.
However, remember to filter out Pierce III during the search, keeping only Chain II and Greater Fork III for a better map-clearing experience.
This configuration is expected to cost between 40 and 200 Divines, and Kineticist's performance is already quite reliable, suitable for most late-game PoE content.
High-End Configuration
If you still want to challenge higher difficulties or achieve even more outstanding results in PoE, you can also require Kineticist to have Return III, a map-clearing support gem, a damage support gem, and Greater Multiple Projectiles. Because Kineticists that simultaneously meet all these requirements are rare, their market price typically ranges from 1.5 to 5 Mirrors of Kalandra.
Additionally, when searching, avoid setting overly complex filters; just retain the core necessary criteria, and then manually check each usable damage support gem.
It's worth noting that if the budget for any of these Kineticist setups is beyond your means, you can now follow IGGM PoE Facebook Group, as we are currently hosting giveaways, and you can participate by following us now for a chance to win free currency!
In summary, although Kineticists are relatively expensive, and top-tier configurations are scarce in PoE 3.29, Kineticists are ultimately the best choice for the late game, so go for it!
