Path Of Exile: Expedition Features A New Skill Gem That Works Like A Popular Destiny 2 Gun

Path Of Exile: Expedition is coming soon, some of these things will make Destiny 2 players immediately recognize. Path Of Exile players mainly uses Skill Gems to cause damage. These skill gems can be socketed in gear to link them support gems to increase their damage output or change the way they work.
In POE, there will be a new Skill Gem for bows named Storm Rain. It fires an arrow in the sky and eventually hits the ground and causes damage. Then it sticks in the ground and periodically causes lightning damage to the enemies. Using the skill many times can link arrows with one another via a beam of lightning, creating patches of ground that constantly damage the enemies. Destiny 2 players may be familiar with a special Exotic gun called Anarchy, which is very similar to Storm Rain in POE, but because GGG’s game settings are more of a dark age type, this new Skill Gem is not fired with a massive grenade launcher.
But because of the different mechanics of the two games, the branching effect of each component will greatly change the way the game is played. Even if Storm Rain and Anarchy have similar effects, we cannot predict how much impact the latter’s new skills will have. In Path Of Exile, you need to carefully balance your builds, not only to effectively clear the areas full of small monsters, but also to cause enough single-target damage against the bosses.
In short, Storm Rain sounds very attractive, but when the new POE League landed on PC this Friday, it remains to be seen how much damage it will be. In any case, this new element added to the Path Of Exile skill gem-set may be an easter egg, and players interested in it can even create a build around it.
The new league may shake the core gameplay of POE, which is even more attractive, so for all POE players, now is the time to prepare for the new league, POE Currency is an essential part, after all, everyone wants to be a winner. At this time, you will not want to miss IGGM.
IGGM provides cheap POE Currency. Discount coupons are always available here. Once Expedition League is released, IGGM will also launch discount coupons for the new league, so you can pay more attention to IGGM to buy POE Currency at low prices.
Google is updating how content is shown. Don't miss our expert gaming guides, item trading insights, and latest patch updates, by setting IGGM as a preferred source.

Path of Exile 3.30 Endgame Wishlist: Mapping Returns, Boss Rushing & RNG Overhaul
With the new league approaching, the endgame overhaul in Path of Exile 3.30 is undoubtedly the hottest topic of discussion. A sense of underlying dissatisfaction has recently permeated the community regarding current mapping returns and loot mechanics; many players are wondering what changes in 3.30 could make PoE endgame appealing again.
Mapping Rewards Must Match Difficulty
The most frustrating aspect of the current endgame is that boss rushing yields far greater returns than the painstaking effort of juicing maps.
Players spend significant time boosting monster counts and cranking up map difficulty, only to find that the returns pale in comparison to simply speed-running bosses in a few white maps.
Consequently, players striving for ultimate builds feel that the effort to become more powerful is pointless, leading to a loss of motivation for further progression.
When everyone shifts to boss rushing, the gameplay inevitably becomes monotonous.
PoE 3.30 endgame environment players desire is one where higher difficulty translates to better rewards.
If players are willing to expend the effort to face hordes of deadly monsters, they should be rewarded with valuable drops; this provides the incentive to theory-craft and refine builds.
If the difficulty is cranked up but the rewards fail to keep pace, players will be unwilling to invest energy into developing their characters and will quickly grow bored.
Furthermore, in the long run, if no one is willing to tackle the resource-intensive, high-difficulty content in Path of Exile, the league's economy will inevitably suffer.

Adjusting the Loot System
The Drop Pool
After numerous league updates and mechanic changes, players have frequently voiced concerns that the core drop pool has become chaotic and cluttered with too many items.
A major source of frustration is the abundance of useless Unique items; rare monsters often drop piles of junk that litter the ground.
As a result, truly valuable items become rare sights, leading to a poor and exhausting loot experience.
To address this situation, the development team could look to the tier-based drop system in PoE 2 for inspiration; that would be a promising direction for adjustments.
They could introduce brand-new, rare base items - such as Simplex Amulet or Cogwork Ring - into the global drop pool, or increase the frequency of useful PoE currency drops, ensuring players feel genuinely rewarded while mapping.
Furthermore, rather than constantly introducing new items, the team could completely overhaul older Unique items by adding new modifiers, thereby making them viable and useful once again.
Of course, completely revamping the drop system for PoE 3.30 carries significant risk; it will be a true test of the team's ability to strike a balance that satisfies the player base.
Random Drops
Beyond the cluttered drop pool, players are also hoping for adjustments to the random drop mechanics in PoE 3.30.
Many players fondly recall the thrill of stumbling upon a top-tier item - like a Headhunter or a Mirror of Kalandra - while casually mapping.
The current issue, however, is that Tier 0 Uniques drop too frequently, stripping these elite items of their sense of rarity and excitement.
Players have suggested an approach similar to how Eldritch currency drops: the base drop rate in standard maps is extremely low - relying purely on luck for the occasional surprise - yet players who want a reliable way to obtain them can specifically farm certain bosses or mechanics.
Targeted farming remains crucial for Path of Exile 3.30; if top-tier gear relied solely on random drops, the effort players put into optimizing their builds would lose its meaning.
What the players are essentially saying is that they hope the development team will design the new league to retain some of those surprising, random drops while also providing ways for players to engage in targeted farming that feels just right.
Optimizing Scarab and Divination Card Mechanics
While new strategies involving Scarabs have certainly been introduced to the game, they have also altered the existing economic landscape.
Players used to love specifically farming Divination Cards, but that playstyle has largely fallen out of favor, leaving those who enjoyed targeting specific gear items at a loss for what to do next.
Furthermore, Divination Cards inherently involve a gambling element, which easily leads to polarized outcomes: a lucky few strike it rich in Path of Exile, while the majority suffer losses. This dynamic also accelerates the inflation of currency costs for high-value items.
Many players look back fondly on the days when they could engage with mechanics simply by adding a few basic materials to a map, rather than having to study complex Scarab combinations as is required now.

Some players are also calling on the development team to ensure that PoE 3.30 restores profitability for the player base, lowers the barrier to entry for specific mechanics, and ensures that the rewards ultimately justify the effort invested.
Additionally, a league needs to provide average players with a reliable way to generate basic income through safety net mechanics, allowing them to progress into the endgame before gradually pursuing high-risk, high-reward farming strategies.
In short, the endgame overhaul players are hoping for in Path of Exile 3.30 isn't just a simple numerical tweak; they want a sensible redesign of both drop mechanics and gameplay systems.
With the new league approaching, what endgame changes would you most like to see?

Path of Exile 1 Race Qualifier 3 Brings New Twitch Drops and Finalist Spot | How to Become the Top of the Leaderboard?
As we move into the latter half of September, the third Path of Exile 1 Race Qualifier is fast approaching. With only one more event to follow, the full roster of competitors qualifying for ExileCon 2026 race finals will soon be finalized.
As with previous events, Qualifiers 3 features exclusive Twitch Drops rewards that can be earned by watching the livestream for a specified duration. Below, we outline the details and provide some tips for Qualifiers 3, in case you plan to participate!

Qualifiers 3 Twitch Drops
For each round of Path of Exile 1 Race Qualifiers, you can earn Twitch Drops rewards by watching the official stream or other players' race broadcasts for at least 30 minutes within the first 24 hours of the event.
While the rewards for the first two rounds were Wild Footprints Effect and Scavenger Hood, Qualifiers 3 brings Darkshard Helmet Attachment.
Visually, this is a semi-covering helmet featuring two long, black demonic horns extending from the forehead and the back of the head, accented by black straps and silver buckles on the sides.
To be honest, the helmet evokes an eerie, intimidating vibe rather than a purely aesthetic one, so it may not appeal to everyone. Still, it's a free reward, there's no reason to miss out!

How to secure the top spot in Qualifiers 3?
As the penultimate qualifying round for PoE 1, Qualifiers 3 kicks off at 2 PM PDT on September 17. It runs for one week, concluding just before the next round begins.
In each qualifying round, only the first-place finisher claims the title of true winner and secures the substantial prize package, which includes a spot in the finals. To achieve this, you must complete Acts 1 through 5 as quickly as possible, culminating in the defeat of Kitava.
This means that even if you hold the top spot during the early days, you could still be overtaken by another player before the qualifier ends.
Therefore, if you decide to jump into Qualifiers 3 right at the start and take the lead, you'll need to keep a close eye on the standings throughout the week while also finding time to practice in SSF mode.
This means that if someone surpasses your record, you can create a new character at any time to challenge it again. If you set a record, your latest result will be recalculated and updated on the corresponding leaderboard.
Alternatively, you could choose to sit out the first few days of PoE 1 Race Qualifiers 3. Instead, you could focus on watching other players' livestreams to study and practice the fastest completion strategies, then make a comeback in the final day or two.
The advantage of this approach is that by compressing the remaining time, you minimize the window for others to overtake you again. However, this relies on your strategy being highly effective; otherwise, you will have limited opportunities for further attempts.
Act 1-5 walkthrough and tips
The first five acts of Path of Exile 1 constitute the first half of the campaign; this is a crucial phase for laying your character's foundation and setting up for fast progression.
Whether you are a newcomer or aiming to top the leaderboard in this qualifier, your core objective isn't to clear every map, but to level up as quickly as possible, farm more PoE currency and complete the acts.
Core principles to follow
First, prioritize eliminating enemies you can easily defeat based on your current level. Any death renders your character unable to act for a minute, severely impacting your final time.
Therefore, if you encounter dangerous targets, use movement skills to bypass them whenever possible and avoid direct confrontation.
Second, fully utilize anything that boosts your movement speed, such as prioritizing boots with movement speed modifiers.
Finally, ensure you build up various resistances based on the specific requirements of each act, using Crafting Bench to add resistance modifiers when necessary.
Detailed strategies
Beyond Kitava in Act 5, the first four acts of Path of Exile 1 feature their own final bosses. These are targets you must conquer; they also drop valuable loot that helps you progress more smoothly into the next act.
In addition to bosses, focus on unlocking and crafting the main skills and movement skills required for your build during Act 1. Act 2 is valuable primarily for providing access to a wider range of support gems.
Upon reaching Act 3, you can complete Trials of Ascendancy to unlock an Ascendancy class for your character, granting significant power enhancements. Afterward, continue refining your gear setup in Act 4 until you reach the final objective in Act 5.
The encounter with Kitava, the Insatiable
As the final boss of Act 5 and the finish line for Path of Exile 1 race qualifiers, Kitava primarily deals physical and fire damage.
Therefore, before initiating the encounter, you need to ensure your gear provides sufficient armor and have consumables ready to bolster your fire resistance as needed.
In addition to the boss itself, two mini-bosses, Champion of the Feast and Shaman of the Feast, will appear during the fight to disrupt your progress.
It is worth noting that while map layouts in standard Path of Exile gameplay are usually randomized, Path of Exile 1 & 2 qualifiers utilize fixed layouts to ensure fairness and consistency.
Although some players in the community have recently expressed dissatisfaction with Path of Exile 1 Race Qualifier map layouts, the development team cannot simply alter them based on such feedback. Consequently, the only way to achieve a strong result in Qualifier 3 is to practice hard and aim to beat the record!

Path of Exile 3.29 Templar Astrolabe Speed Farming Guide: 40 Divine Orbs Per Hour with Any Build
When farming currency in Path of Exile 3.29, the biggest issue isn't necessarily a lack of build power; it's often a slow, disjointed route that yields inconsistent returns. If you're looking for a fast-paced farming strategy that works with almost any character, Templar Astrolabe + Atlas Anomalies speed-farming method might be exactly what you need.
Want to enjoy both steady profits and unexpected windfalls without completely overhauling your current build? This strategy delivers exactly that.
Core Mechanics
This strategy revolves around Templar Astrolabe and Atlas anomalies. The goal is to complete Astrolabe quickly using a boss rush approach while securing extra rewards from anomalies and memory encounters.
Crucially, it doesn't rely on a specific build; success depends on route efficiency, map selection, and how you handle anomalies. In practice, it yields around 40 PoE Divine Orbs per hour - or even more if you get lucky with a major drop.
Preparation
First, understand that Templar Astrolabe is completed by killing bosses; for every additional map run within Astrolabe sequence, the boss becomes slightly stronger.
On average, it takes about six maps to complete an Astrolabe - ranging from a minimum of five to a worst-case scenario of nine - so you should stock up on plenty of maps and Astrolabes beforehand.
Currently, the price of a Templar Astrolabe hovers around 100 Chaos Orbs, though this fluctuates with the market.
While running white Tier 16 maps is faster, map quantity affects the spawn rate of anomalies. Therefore, it is better to use an Orb of Alchemy to upgrade your maps to Rare (yellow) status before running them.
Mesa is one of the fastest maps to run; a boss-only rush takes a consistent five to nine seconds per map. City Square is a viable alternative if you prefer it, as it shares the same Atlas quadrant as Mesa.
For Scry feature, you can target high-value divination cards or focus on steady currency drops; either way, this strategy doesn't involve clearing many monsters per map.

Region Selection
Players are highly recommended to choose the bottom-left region of Atlas, as it features Winter Storm strongboxes and Cadiro Perandus anomaly; the former frequently drops Divine Orbs and Voidborn Reliquary Keys, while Cadiro Perandus allows you to unlock various unique items.
These two mechanics can coexist, and since anomalies have independent spawn rates, it is possible to encounter multiple instances in a single map run.
To spawn the same type of anomaly again, you must complete the corresponding encounter: either open the strongbox (or use a lockpick on it) or exhaust Cadiro Perandus's offers (or at least accept one).
Additionally, the memory rewards in the bottom-left region are quite consistent, primarily providing PoE currency - commonly Divine Orbs, though Fracturing Orbs or Reflecting Mists may also appear.
Therefore, as long as Atlas anomalies remain active, the bottom-left region is generally the most competitive choice. If the anomalies disappear later, you can switch to using Runic Astrolabe; you only need to detonate half of the remnants to exit the map.
Atlas Skill Tree
Next, you need to allocate points to specific nodes on PoE Atlas Skill Tree to better support this Astrolabe and Atlas anomaly farming strategy.
First, you must allocate points to Synthesised Stability; otherwise, you won't be able to complete Astrolabe using just a single map.
You can adjust the remaining nodes based on your personal farming habits, but generally, nodes related to boss map drops, map quantity, and scarabs are the most useful.
If you wish to further maximize returns from anomalies, prioritize nodes that control the pathing of Memory Threads.
Depending on the price of the Invitations, use Traumatic Experience, Remembered Kindness, or Educated Upbringing to suppress the spawn rate of the least valuable memory boss, thereby indirectly increasing the probability of encountering the other two.
Handling Anomalies
Once an anomaly spawns in PoE, you cannot block it; you must deal with it. The gold cost to interact with strongboxes doubles repeatedly; it is advisable to stop once the cost exceeds approximately 200,000 gold and instead use a lockpick to destroy the box. This way, you still retain a 25% chance of obtaining a reward.
Furthermore, it is best to accept only high-value unique items from Cadiro Perandus and simply pass on those that are too expensive. If none of the offered items are desirable, decline the final offer to reset the selection.
Returns
By following this strategy to run maps and complete Astrolabe in Path of Exile 3.29, you can achieve a net profit of over thirty Divine Orbs per hour.
You also have the chance to score lucky drops like Soul Taker; Cadiro Perandus himself offers plenty of rare unique items, so your odds of hitting a jackpot are quite good.

However, the setup costs - whether for Astrolabe or the strongboxes - are significant. While this farming method offers very stable returns, you will need a certain reserve of resources to get started.
The advantages of this strategy are its simplicity and straightforwardness; it works with almost any build, and the rewards from anomalies and memories provide additional opportunities to hit the jackpot. Give it a try!

Path of Exile 3.29 Vestigial Unique Crafting | Enshrouding Crystals and Variant Rarity Explained
In Path of Exile 3.29 Curse of the Allflame League, Vestigial Uniques are a new type of item that can inherit a single modifier from another Unique item of the same equipment type. For example, gloves can only inherit modifiers from other gloves, while helmets can only inherit modifiers from other helmets.
This is an extremely powerful effect, and it is even possible to create Mirror-tier items with it. Even if you cannot reach that level, crafting Vestigial Uniques that are useful as transitional gear can still provide a major boost to your character's power. Now, let's take a look at how to craft them.

How to Obtain Vestigial Uniques?
The only way to craft Vestigial Uniques is through Legion mechanic in the endgame. There are 5 factions that can randomly appear during Legion encounters. However, Vestigial Uniques can only be created from the following five equipment slots:
- Helmets
- Body
- Armours
- Gloves
- Boots
- Shields
Unique items from other equipment slots cannot be converted into Vestigial Uniques.
Crafting Enshrouded Items
To craft a Vestigial Unique, you first need a crafting material called an Enshrouding Crystal. These Crystals can only drop from Generals belonging to the various factions in Legion encounters, and Generals have a chance to appear at the rear of each army.
Generals from different factions drop different types of Enshrouding Crystals, each corresponding to a specific equipment slot:
- Karui: Karui Enshrouding Crystal for gloves
- Eternal Empire: Imperial Enshrouding Crystal for boots
- Maraketh:Maraketh Enshrouding Crystal for Body Armour
- Templar:Templar Enshrouding Crystal for shields
- Vaal:Vaal Enshrouding Crystal for helmets
Therefore, your first priority is to obtain Enshrouding Crystal corresponding to the equipment slot you want to craft. You then need to obtain a target Unique item with the modifier you want to inherit, and it must belong to the same equipment slot.
For example, if you want to craft a Vestigial Unique that inherits a large amount of melee critical strike multiplier, you need to use a Vaal Enshrouding Crystal and then use an Abyssus Ezomyte Burgonet, which has a modifier providing more than 100% melee critical strike multiplier.
As a balancing measure, however, the inherited modifier will have a significantly lower value than the original. In addition, only Unique items from the game's core drop pool can be converted into Enshrouded items.
Once you have both items ready, use Enshrouding Crystal on the target Unique item to convert it into an Enshrouded item. At this point, the item's tooltip will indicate that it can be transformed in Domain of Timeless Conflict.
Domain of Timeless Conflict

Domain of Timeless Conflict is essentially a massive Legion encounter that takes place in a separate map area.
When clearing Legion encounters in normal maps, monsters and chests drop Splinters belonging to their respective factions. Once you collect 100 Splinters from a faction, they automatically combine into that faction's Emblem. Emblems from each faction can also be traded using PoE currency.
To enter Domain of Timeless Conflict, you need at least two different faction Emblems. You can use up to five different faction Emblems.
Each Emblem you use gives the corresponding faction's General and monsters a chance to spawn during the encounter. The base encounter duration is 15 seconds, and each Emblem adds one minute to the encounter's combat time.
How to Use Crystals of Permutation?
Once you have prepared your Enshrouded item and enough Emblems, select the Domain of Timeless Conflict option in Atlas, and make sure all Emblems have been placed into the correct slots.
After entering Domain, do not stand in the glowing circular area in the center! Doing so will immediately start the encounter, while you still need to complete one important step first.
You need to travel to the top, left, right, and bottom areas of Domain map. Purple icons will appear on the minimap, marking the locations of Crystals of Permutation. Click on a Crystal to open a small window, place your Enshrouded item inside, and confirm. The item will then be locked into that Crystal of Permutation.
Variant Rarity
After placing an Enshrouded item into a Crystal of Permutation, hover over Crystal to see a progress bar. The bar increases as you kill enemies. Whenever the kill count reaches the required threshold, the item's Variant Rarity increases by one level, and the progress bar resets to zero.
Each Enshrouded item can accumulate up to three levels of Variant Rarity, meaning you need to fill the progress bar three times to fully charge it. Each level of Variant Rarity increases the chance of obtaining a rarer result when you finally reveal Vestigial Unique.
There are 4 Crystals of Permutation in Domain, allowing you to charge up to four Enshrouded items at the same time. All kills count toward every item placed in Crystals, so charging multiple items simultaneously does not reduce your efficiency.
Claiming Your Vestigial Unique Items

Once you have placed all your Enshrouded items into Crystals of Permutation, you can step into the glowing central circle to start the encounter.
All monsters spawn around the outer edge of the arena, with each faction occupying a different area. The faction Generals are mixed in with the soldiers and are marked by large green icons on the minimap.
When there are no nearby targets left to kill, return to the glowing central circle. The circle will light up again, and all dead monsters will respawn after a few seconds.
Generals have their own respawn cooldown, so they will not appear during every rotation. However, if you continue cycling through killing enemies and resetting the encounter, they will eventually return.
Once the progress bar is full, you can take away your Vestigial Unique Items. However, the higher Variant Rarity, the better the result. If possible, it is recommended to increase Variant Rarity all the way to level 3.
If your item has not reached maximum Variant Rarity after one Domain of Timeless Conflict, or has not even completed the first level, there is no need to worry. You simply need to open Domain of Timeless Conflict again.
In the meantime, you can freely run other maps, fight bosses, or engage in other content. When you enter Domain of Timeless Conflict again, your Enshrouded items will still be stored in Crystals of Permutation, and their progress will remain unchanged.
That covers everything about Vestigial Unique items in PoE 3.29. Although the official team has placed numerous restrictions on the system to prevent it from becoming excessively powerful, these items are still extremely popular. If you successfully craft some top-tier items, you can earn a substantial amount of Divine Orbs.

Path of Exile 1 Race Qualifiers for ExileCon 2026 Are Now Open: What Secrets Can Boost Your Chances of Winning?
To ensure a packed schedule for ExileCon 2026 this November, Path of Exile is planning to host race finals for both the original game and Path of Exile 2 at the event. Naturally, the competitors will be selected through a series of recent qualifiers.
The final qualifier for Path of Exile 2 kicked off on August 27 and concluded this week. If you missed out or didn't secure first place, don't worry, Path of Exile 1 qualifiers have already begun!
We are providing a detailed overview here to help you maximize your chances of winning Path of Exile 1 qualifiers, provided you have the interest and skill to compete.

Path of Exile 1 qualifier schedule
Just like Path of Exile 2 events, there are four Path of Exile 1 qualifiers planned, with each round lasting one week. The first round has already started; the specific schedule is as follows (all times in PDT):
- Qualifier 1: Sep 03, 2026 2:00 PM
- Qualifier 2: Sep 10, 2026 2:00 PM
- Qualifier 3: Sep 17, 2026 2:00 PM
- Qualifier 4: Sep 24, 2026 2:00 PM
To avoid missing out, we recommend converting these start times to your local time zone in advance.
Qualifier requirements and rules
First, there are no entry barriers for Path of Exile 1 qualifiers; anyone can participate. However, the device requirements match those of the finals: participation is limited to PC (unlike Path of Exile 2 qualifiers, which allowed both console and PC).
Additionally, you must have a Twitch account linked to your game account; you can do this via the official Path of Exile website. This is required because the competition must be streamed live to prevent cheating.
Once you meet these requirements, you can log in to the game and join the current round of qualifiers. A Join option for the qualifier will appear on the character selection screen; simply click it and follow the prompts to create your character and begin competing.
Path of Exile 1 qualifiers are based on Standard mode difficulty but incorporate SSF and fixed-seed mechanics.
In other words, you must earn the gear and PoE currency needed for progression solely through your own farming efforts; furthermore, the layouts of available zones and maps are fixed.
Under these rules, all players must use their qualifier characters to progress through the campaign from scratch, aiming to defeat Act 5 boss Kitava. The player with the fastest completion time at the end of the qualifier wins.
Note that any death during the run will immobilize your character for one minute, directly impacting your final time.
What are the qualifier rewards?
The four qualifiers leading up to ExileCon 2026 race finals will each produce one winner, the player with the fastest time, resulting in a total of four finalists.
If you are among the winners, in addition to qualifying for the finals, you will receive a Super VIP ticket to ExileCon 2026, with the organizers covering your flights, accommodation, and meals for the event!
To showcase your status as a winner in-game, you may also choose one of the following four body armors:
- Thunderstruck Body Armour
- Engineer's Body Armour
- Crystallised Body Armour
- Demonic Stygian Armor

To avoid any issues that could cause you to lose your hard-earned rewards, please keep the following tips in mind alongside the rules mentioned earlier:
- Stream the entire run.
- Ensure your game interface remains unobstructed during the stream.
- The stream VOD must be made public.
If you win a qualifier but cannot travel to ExileCon 2026 in November due to scheduling conflicts, the relevant portion of the prize will be awarded to the runner-up of that qualifier.
Strategies to increase your chances of winning
Given the time penalty for dying, the key to maximizing your speed is to avoid unnecessary, dangerous combat during Acts 1–5 and focus strictly on farming resources.
Additionally, if you do not consider yourself an elite-level player, you might choose to wait and participate in one of the later three qualifiers, or join Qualifier 1 after it is already underway.
This is because the map layout remains fixed during the qualifiers; you can watch live streams of other players to figure out a highly efficient route for Acts 1 through 5 and then adopt it for your own run.
Of course, the most crucial factor is having a solid understanding of the final boss, Kitava, the Insatiable, so you can defeat him quickly without dying.
The fight against Kitava in Act 5 unfolds in multiple phases; you must alternate between attacking the boss himself and his heart until the kill is secured.
It is worth noting that attacking the boss's heart triggers the appearance of additional minor bosses, Champion of the Feast and Shaman of the Feast, which deal extra physical or elemental damage.
During the battle, Kitava deals physical damage using abilities like Slam, Swipe, and Throw Debris; furthermore, his special skill, Devouring Darkness, converts 50% of his physical damage output into fire damage.
Therefore, in addition to mastering strategies to counter his attacks, you must ensure you are equipped with high-value armor and a variety of flasks to maximize your resistances before the fight begins.
Don't miss out on Twitch Drops!
Even if you don't plan to participate in any PoE 1 qualifiers, we recommend watching a participating stream for at least 30 minutes within the first 24 hours of the event to earn Wild Footprints Effect Twitch Drop.
That covers everything regarding Path of Exile Race Qualifiers for ExileCon 2026. We hope this information helps those of you planning to compete!

Path of Exile 3.29 Kineticist Luminary Build | Best Mercenary Setup for Fast Map Clearing
Many players have reached the late stages of Path of Exile 3.29 and are now considering their final endgame build. Luminary players have plenty of options, and the different Mercenaries give them a great deal of freedom.
Kineticist Luminary is a highly recommended endgame choice thanks to its incredible clear speed and powerful single-target damage, although it requires substantial investment. Let's take a look at which Mercenary and equipment choices you should make.

Why Choose Kineticist?
Kinetic Bolt and Kinetic Blast are already very powerful skills, offering high damage and excellent area coverage. They can demonstrate impressive clear speed even during the early stages of the game.
In the endgame, even without heavy investment, a Kineticist Mercenary can deliver near-screen-wide clearing power. With higher investment, its damage potential becomes even more impressive.
Although other Mercenaries may perform better in specific situations, Kineticist's clearing ability is simply too strong to overlook. If you plan to repeatedly farm maps in the endgame, Kineticist Luminary can save you a great deal of effort.
Which Mercenary Should You Choose?
There are currently 3 Mercenary types widely regarded by the community as top-tier options, and this build chooses the Kineticist.
The 3 mainstream Mercenary types are:
- Manyshot: Similar to a Ranger using Ice Shot and Vaal Grace.
- Combatant: A Duelist using Frost Blades and Static Strike.
- Kineticist: A Witch using Kinetic Blast. This is the type used in this build.
The key to a Mercenary's effectiveness lies in the support gems linked to its main skill. You should look for one Support Gem dedicated to clearing and as many damage-oriented Support Gems as possible.
For Kineticist, the optimal main skills are Kinetic Blast of Clustering and Greater Kinetic Blast. Elemental Weakness and Flame Wall are usually standard choices and are essential.
Recommended Support Gems
Chain is currently the best clearing Support Gem and is superior to Fork. Greater Multiple Projectiles Support is also an excellent choice.
Elemental Damage with Attacks, Increased Critical Strikes, and Increased Critical Damage are all major damage multipliers.
By comparison, Support Gems that simply add a specific type of elemental damage provide very little benefit because your Flame Link already supplies thousands of points of base Fire Damage, making an additional few dozen points of base damage almost negligible.
Return is the key modifier that can fundamentally change a Mercenary's damage output. A Mercenary equipped with Returning Projectiles Support can cost hundreds of Divine Orbs. However, the benefit is enormous, effectively doubling your damage output.
Skills to Avoid
In Path of Exile's projectile behavior sequence, Pierce takes priority over Split, Chain, and Return. If a Mercenary's skill gem has Pierce, projectiles will penetrate several targets before they begin chaining or returning, which can severely reduce their clearing performance.
For Combatant, Multistrike makes Mercenary's attacks much slower. Unrelated skills such as Icicle Mine should also be avoided because they occupy valuable skill slots.

Luminary Equipment and Skills
The Hallowed Monarch (Faithful Helmet)
- Minion Life
- Animate Guardian
- Meat Shield
- Raise Spectre
Rapture Palm (Leviathan Gauntlets)
- Empower
- Vitality
- Flame Link
Svalinn (Girded Tower Shield)
- Shield Charge
- Precision
- Faster Attacks
Nycta's Lantern (Crystal Sceptre)
- Molten Shell
- Automation
- Convocation
Oblivion March (Goliath Graves)
- Eternal Blessing
- Purity of Elements
Oblivion March (Goliath Graves)
- Petrified Blood
- Flame Dash
Rapture Palm (Leviathan Gauntlets)
- Wall of Force
Kineticist will frequently cast Elemental Weakness curse, so there is no need to sacrifice passive points or use an expensive amulet enchantment just to apply an additional curse.
Flame Link needs to be linked with Empower, allowing it to provide a substantial damage increase.
Wall of Force works exceptionally well with the projectile Return mechanic. When a projectile hits an enemy and passes through it, it collides with Wall of Force and rebounds, passing through the enemy again.
When the projectile reaches the end of its flight, Return effect activates, causing it to fly back and hit the target again. This effectively gives your attacks multiple additional opportunities to hit.
Kineticist Mercenary Equipment Setup
- Piscator's Vigil: This weapon is used to gain additional elemental damage.
- Rathpith Globe: Provides Mercenary with increased Spell Damage based on the player's maximum Life.
- The Taming: Provides elemental resistances and a chance to inflict effects such as Ignite and Freeze on enemies.
- Enmity's Embrace: The more your Fire Resistance exceeds its maximum cap, the more Fire Penetration you gain.
All of the items above are Unique Items. You need to allocate Legendary Arms on Luminary passive tree, which grants Mercenary 8% more damage for each Legendary Item equipped.
The remaining equipment can be filled with Rare Items crafted with your own currency, or you can search the official trading website for suitable gear.
When crafting your equipment, stack as much Attack Speed, Crit Chance, and Crit Multiplier for Mercenary as possible. For boss fights, Assassin's Mark curse can also provide useful support.
By equipping Mercenary with Enmity's Embrace and stacking its Fire Resistance to around 275%, you can gain an extremely high amount of Fire Penetration. Therefore, you should look for Fire Resistance modifiers on every piece of equipment.
Stacking Life and Light Radius through mechanics such as Golden Glory, combined with Flame Link, can provide Mercenary with a huge amount of base Fire Damage.
Kineticist Luminary in PoE 3.29 offers exceptional clearing performance even with relatively low investment, while higher investment takes its damage and efficiency to another level. It can be used to progress through the campaign, with equipment gradually upgraded as you move deeper into the endgame.
