  The key to his S tier ranking lies in his top-tier flexibility, capable of playing center field, second base, and shortstop - a rare quality in the current MLB The Show 26.

  Ceddanne Rafaela excels in both speed and base-stealing ability, so we don't need to invest mod resources in his speed or field. 

  Chase Headley

  Chase Headley also deserves an S tier rating. His new left field ability in this Summer Series significantly enhances his utility, making him very reliable in left field.

  Furthermore, Chase Headley's swing rhythm has always been his signature strength. Combined with his excellent contact and vision stats, his overall performance fully deserves an S tier.

  Tarik Skubal

  At first glance, Tarik Skubal's stats might not seem impressive, but closer analysis reveals his exceptional control as his most outstanding strength.

  Furthermore, his clutch performance and stamina are excellent. Crucially, his pitching motion has become remarkably unpredictable and difficult to read. Previously, Tarik Skubal's pitching was easily recognizable in MLB 26, but now it has been adjusted to become deceptive.

  Hunter Greene

  S tier also includes Hunter Greene. He's slightly better than Chase Headley, and even slightly better than Ceddanne Rafaela.

  Ted Williams

  Placing Ted Williams in A Tier instead of S Tier might surprise many players. Even though Ted Williams' swing rhythm is highly praised, he can only play one position: designated batting. 

  To qualify for S tier, Ted Williams needs to become more well-rounded to justify his designated hitter position.

  Kyle Tucker

  A viable strategy for Kyle Tucker is to focus on a defensive mod to compensate for his slightly lower speed, thereby gaining greater arm strength and right field defense.

  Alternatively, a speed mod can be chosen, allowing Kyle Tucker to not only have good right field defense but also create threats between bases.

  In recent years, Kyle Tucker's card attributes have often been less than ideal, but his swing has consistently been excellent.

  Corey Seager

  Corey Seager ranks ahead of Ted Williams because his defensive value makes his overall contribution higher.

  Corey Seager is perfectly capable of playing shortstop, and he could also handle designated hitter without much trouble.

  Although Corey Kluber is in Tier B, his slider is still very reliable.

  Don't specifically pursue this card, but if you own Corey Kluber, try his slider; it might be much more fun than his sweeper.

  Grant Taylor

  Grant Taylor's pitching motion and angle are very deceptive, but overall his statistics are quite average.

  How to Earn the Rewards?

  Pack Palooza Program has a total of only 70 points, and you can make progress by completing tasks. You can choose either standard tasks or extreme moments. However, the extreme moments are quite difficult, so focusing on the seven standard tasks might be more efficient.

  Missions (7 tasks, 10 points each - completing all gives you Pack Palooza Program packs):

  1. Win 5 games in any game mode.
  2. Record 50 hits with any players.
  3. Hit 20 home runs with any players.
  4. Reach 100 total bases with any players.
  5. Pitch 12 innings with any pitchers.
  6. Strike out 21 batters with any pitchers.
  7. Earn 7,500 PXP with any players.

  Extreme Moments (3 moments, 25 points each):

  1. On All-Star difficulty, as a left-handed batter against a left-handed pitcher, score eight runs.
  2. On All-Star difficulty, hit three home runs before three outs are recorded.
  3. On All-Star difficulty, replicate JT Realmuto's 2023 cycle in a single game.

  

  99 OVR Victor Martinez

  99 OVR Victor Martinez is without a doubt the best hitter currently in the game. As a switch hitter, he has 114 vision, near-maximum contact, and over 100 power against both left-handed and right-handed pitchers. His offensive performance on this card is simply absurd.

  However, his defense is a clear weakness. Fortunately, his primary position is first base, and catcher is listed as a secondary position. But even with defensive adjustments, he will not perform well behind the plate. All things considered, you can place him at first base or in the designated hitter spot, and he will be the best hitter in the game, bar none. Martinez's swing animation feels excellent.

  That said, the vast majority of players will likely never obtain this card. The reason is that you need to collect 24 Vouchers. This update allows you to skip 2 of them, yet the requirements remain daunting. Here are some of the requirements:

  • Spotlight Series: collect every card in this series - currently 70 cards in total.
  • Awards Series: there are 34 cards in the game; you need 32 of them.
  • Topps Now Series: all 63 cards are required.

  For most players, this is simply unrealistic. While future card additions will make the collection slightly easier over time, for now this card is nearly impossible to get. The good news is that because it is so difficult to obtain, you will not face this overpowered card too often in online matches.

  In summary, setting your sights on Victor Martinez right now is not practical. Nevertheless, Pack Palooza Program can still help you complete other collections or strengthen the weak spots in your lineup.
