Path Of Exile 2: What Will Be The Effect Of The Planned Currency Changes?
Posted: Aug 03, 2023 Views: 3369
On the last day of ExileCon 2023, we found out that there have been a lot of changes to the currency in Path Of Exile 2. Unfortunately, this isn’t limited to just their cosmetic changes, some currencies are disappearing entirely.
Changing The Way Crafting Works
Alterations that disappear just like this Orb of Scouring. This means you can’t force a decent magic base on an item and then build it with other POE2 Currency. This also means that if you throw away an excellent base and mod, that base is now useless. Because you can’t get it down to zero and start building it up again. This will be a tremendous change in the way crafting works.
But it also means that the gear you drop will be more valuable than it was before they noticed it. They don’t want to change the way transactions are done, which will mean more blue items being traded. But I’m not expecting changes other than Chaos Orb, as they will work completely differently.
When we hit an item with a Chaos Orb, it re-rolls all mods. So all the mods fall off, and then a random set of mods gets turned back on in Path Of Exile 2. It will take one mod and delete it, then replace it with a new one. So, Chaos Orb is now a kind of Orb of Annulment.

Affects Item Drops
Now I fully understand why these changes were made. Because it made the item drops more impactful. But there are a few enormous problems.
First, through the first Item Filters, they look at the item base, but they don’t see the roll down item. This means that using Item Filters can actually get you into trouble.
Another problem I’ve seen has nothing to do with the item. When we drop the map, it has map sustain, and it physically reflects it. Also, we couldn’t run our character properly.
So all we have to do is block the item, which is no longer an option. We’ll probably hit it with a Chaos Orb to refresh everything that isn’t viable. Although we may have gotten lucky and removed Damage reflection. But there may be other mods here that we want to get rid of, like Cannot Leech. This is going to be extremely expensive.
Influencing The Crafting Of Cartographer’s Chisel
We now also need to consider the effect on Cartographer’s Chisel when we drop a Magic map. Normally, when we drop these currency items, we can restore them to a valid, perfect state. But if my Magic map is not enough, I will stop using the map. Because I have no control over how the map falls. This isn’t directly tied to currency changes, but can heavily affect crafting.

Other Changes
Currently, they are removing Crafting Bench from POE 2. Therefore, it will become more difficult for us to make perfect Endgame items. Because without Crafting Bench, we would start endless exploration.
Now, they intend to make town vendors play a bigger role in fixing buildings and small things. But I’ve had a lot of unpleasant experiences getting decent items from Vendor early in the game, and your Vendor won’t fix the map either.
These changes may affect SSF players more than any other change. Because they have to craft all POE 2 Items. Even though you play trade league, it affects SSF players more than others.
Anyway, that’s my guess as to how the currency changes in POE 2 might affect the game itself. I’m afraid that this will affect my gaming experience with POE 2. What do you think about this change? Let us wait quietly.

Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0 Twitch Drops Event | How To Get Verdant Wilds Dodge Roll Effect In The Livestream?
A livestream about Path of Exile 2 0.4.0 update The Last of the Druids is about to begin, where the official team will share a wealth of exciting new content details and game settings. Although this livestream is only about a week after the official release of POE 2 0.4.0 update, there's no doubt that this news will ignite the passion of players.
Even more exciting is the generous reward prepared for viewers during this livestream. Players who watch the livestream for a certain amount of time will receive Twitch Drops reward, a cosmetic item that will make their character's adventure even more fun and vibrant.

If you want to use it in Path of Exile 2 0.4.0 update, below I will show you how to obtain this effect during this livestream.
Date And Rewards
This event lasts for one day, so if you want to get the reward for free, be sure not to miss it.
- Start Time: December 4, 2025, 11:00 AM PST
- End Time: December 5, 2025, 11:00 AM PST
The core reward of this Path of Exile 2 Twitch Drops is Verdant Wilds Dodge Roll Effect, a visually stunning cosmetic item that leaves a long green trail when used by the character. This vibrant nature-themed visual enhances the rolling animation in the game, making the adventure more lively.
If you really wanted this effect but missed this event, don't worry, there's another way to get it. While the release date of Verdant Wilds Dodge Roll Effect is still uncertain, the official announcement confirms it will appear in the in-game store, where you can redeem it.
While this method guarantees that players who want it will eventually be able to use it in their adventures, I'm sure you'd prefer to get it directly. After all, nobody wants to invest extra Path of Exile 2 Currency to get an item that could be obtained for free.
Requirements And Claiming Process
Whether you're a new or returning player, as long as you have an account, you can participate in this event and receive rewards after meeting the requirements.
Here are some core requirements for claiming Verdant Wilds Dodge Roll Effect:
- First, you need to link your Twitch account to your game account. Unlinked accounts cannot have their viewing time tracked.
- Second, participants must accumulate 45 minutes of viewing time on any PoE 2 livestream channel with the reward drop mechanism enabled during the event period.
- Then, you can claim Verdant Wilds Dodge Roll Effect.
The account linking process is very simple. Players should log in to their PoE account, go to Twitch Settings page, and find Connect option under Other Connections.
Follow the on-screen instructions to authorize your Twitch account. After completion, you will be notified whether you have successfully linked your account to Twitch.
After watching for 45 minutes, users can claim the reward before the event ends by visiting Twitch Inventory and manually selecting Verdant Wilds Dodge Roll Effect. After redemption, the reward will immediately appear in POE 2 microtransactions list.
Player Feedback
Since the announcement, many players have shared their opinions on the reward across various platforms, with Twitch Drops event receiving mixed reviews and constructive feedback.
Many players have said that Verdant Wilds Dodge Roll Effect perfectly matches their aesthetic, and this exquisite design makes it worthwhile for players to use it in the game to achieve a better visual effect.
They also noted that the natural visual style of the effect perfectly complements the theme of the upcoming PoE 2 patch 0.4.0.
The shorter viewing time requirement, lowering the barrier to obtaining the reward, has also been welcomed by players. Compared with the previous minimum viewing time of one hour, the current requirement of only 45 minutes can be easily met.
Besides the reward itself, players are also eagerly anticipating the new content in the 0.4.0 update, especially the changes Druid class will bring to the game.
However, some players expressed disappointment.
They felt the rewards were too limited and fell short of expectations. Furthermore, they hoped the game developers would offer a wider selection in future Twitch Drops events, such as pets, equipment, and armor.
While player opinions on Twitch Drops rewards were mixed, the overall response was very positive. With the player community eagerly anticipating the event, Twitch Drops served as a model for attracting players and generating buzz before a major update.
It not only sparked discussion within the player community but also brought massive viewership to POE 2 patch 0.4.0 The Last of the Druids streams, significantly increasing player anticipation for the game.
Path of Exile 2, by combining exclusive cosmetic rewards with highly anticipated content, captivated players. Earning these rewards through Twitch Drops allowed both new and veteran players to stay informed about the latest game news, thus generating interest.
This approach will continue to solidify PoE 2's position as one of the most anticipated action role-playing games in recent years. While enhancing the enthusiasm of veteran players, it also attracts more new players to try the game.

Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0 Campaign Leveling Guide | How To Rush Fate Of The Vaal League?
Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0, Fate of the Vaal League, will launch on December 12th. To get ahead of the new league's content, you'll naturally need to create a new character and complete the campaign.
The entire campaign is essentially just a transition, and many players are eager to reach the endgame content. Below are some tips for quickly completing the campaign, allowing you to start farming faster.

Character Pick
If you start with a melee class but find it difficult at lower levels, you can create a Ranger character, defeat the first boss, and obtain a bow, quiver, and starting skill gems.
Store these items in Stash Tab, then switch back to your main character to retrieve and use them. This will make your start much smoother.
Initial Area Tips
After rescuing the wounded man and obtaining the class weapon, you can immediately pause the game and respawn at a checkpoint. This will reset the current area, but the weapon will re-drop, allowing for duplication. For example, if you are playing as a Warrior, you will immediately have two weapons.
In the initial area, do not try to kill all monsters. Run as fast as possible, ignoring lone enemies to save time.
Reach the checkpoint where Large Chest is located, open the chest to obtain a skill gem, but do not equip it. Respawn at the checkpoint again, return to the chest, and the skill gem will refresh. You can repeat this process to obtain multiple skill gems, equipping them when needed, and excess skill gems can be sold for gold.
How To Obtain Equipment?
After reaching Clearfell Encampment, you can find merchants to trade and change your equipment.
- Una: Sells Magical Items, Flasks, and Scrolls of Wisdom.
- Finn: Sells Physical Class Gear.
You can type "i" in the search box to quickly filter items. Maximum Life is the most important survival attribute during the campaign. Use double quotes for exact matching. For example, typing "m li" will filter only gear with the "maximum life" affix.
It is recommended to filter gear for Quality Items, bonus damage, increased physical damage, movement speed, and maximum life.
You can sell skill gems obtained through duplication here to exchange for a good set of magical gear at the shop to increase your health.
Leveling Tips
POE 2 has an experience gain penalty system based on the difference between player and enemy levels.
- Before level 40: The range of experience gained is ±4 levels.
- After level 40: The experience gain range is ±6 levels.
This means that grinding in low-level areas is inefficient. You should move to areas matching your level (or slightly higher) as quickly as possible to gain more experience. Efficiency is important, but getting stuck is usually due to insufficient damage, so choosing the right skills is crucial.
Contagion is suitable for any class in the early game, and it's very effective, at least in the first 10 levels or the first chapter. It's a curse skill, and i an enemy dies while affected, the curse spreads to nearby enemies, dealing additional damage, which greatly increases your efficiency in clearing regular monsters.
Quests
Many quests in the campaign have different rewards, but completing them all would be quite time-consuming, so you need to complete them selectively.
Quests like Mud Burrow reward a support gem, while quests like Abandoned Stash in Mysterious Campsite reward an uncut skill gem. You can skip these if you don't need them.
The skull icons marked with a cross on the map are mandatory to complete, as they reward permanent stats.
How To Improve Your Character?
If you feel you're struggling or your gear is lacking, repeatedly farm the bosses you can defeat, because bosses and elite enemies have a higher drop rate for better equipment. After several resets, you're likely to obtain powerful rare gear, which greatly boosts your early-game combat power.
You can create a new instance of a zone at the zone entrance using Shift+click or Ctrl+click. All monsters and bosses will spawn in the new instance. To avoid looting junk, it's recommended to set up or download a loot filter to only display valuable items.
Passive Tree
Path of Exile 2's talent tree is very complex. If you're unsure how to allocate your talent points, remember to only choose talents that increase damage before level 80.
Starting from your character's starting point, proceed along the main road formed by attribute points. Prioritize the nearest talent cluster that provides damage bonuses. On the way to the next damage talent cluster, max out all damage nodes along the way, skipping nodes that don't directly provide damage.
Before entering high-tier maps, you can completely ignore pure defensive nodes like armor and evasion, unless they also provide damage.
Item And Currency Management
In story chapters, weapon base stats see significant improvements around levels 11 and 28. Later in a chapter, even if you obtain a low-tier base weapon with good affixes, it's not recommended to invest in PoE 2 currency, as you'll quickly find bases with much higher base damage.
Magic items are usually more valuable when sold after being identified with a Scroll of Wisdom than when unidentified. Rare items should be disenchanted into Regal Shards at NPCs for crafting Regal Orbs. Only consider selling them if you already have enough Regal Orbs.
If you have equipment with sockets, you can disenchant it at the salvaging bench to obtain Artificer's Shard. This can be combined with Artificer's Orb, used to add rune sockets to equipment. When you feel the pace of combat slowing down and the pressure of survival increasing, it's time to invest in upgrading your equipment.
These are the basic tips for completing the campaign in patch 0.4.0. You can also use a leveling build to increase your speed.

Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0 The Last Of The Druids New Content Predictions | Druid Reveal, Endgame Reset, New Trials And More
Although Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0 livestream scheduled for 11:00 AM on December 4th hasn't started yet, some information about the new patch has already leaked, sparking various speculations within the community.
To help you gain a more complete understanding of this update, we've compiled this early guide from multiple sources. But you still need to watch the livestream later to learn more and earn Twitch Drops!

When Can You Play Patch 0.4.0?
The official name of this patch is The Last of the Druids. It will be released on all PoE 2 available platforms on December 12th, 2025 at 11:00 AM PST. Simply update the game to start playing.
Since the release of Patch 0.2.0 on April 4th of this year, the game has consistently released a new patch every 3-4 months. While this interval is longer than PoE 1 release league, it at least proves that PoE 2 is becoming more stable as an Early Access game.
It's worth noting that even if you don't own Path of Exile 2, you can play all the game's content for free for three days after Patch 0.4.0 is released, including this patch! This is a great opportunity for players who are still undecided about the game.
New Base Class Druid
In fact, the name of this patch itself suggests that the new class Druid will be the core of this update. At launch, Path of Exile 2 only had 6 basic classes; Huntress was added with patch 0.2.0.
Afterwards, there was various speculation within the game community about more new classes, until now, when Druid has finally been added to Path of Exile 2 as the eighth class.
While details are still unknown, based on Druids in other games, it can be inferred that this will be a hybrid of strength and intelligence, capable of transforming into creatures like bears or werewolves for melee or elemental magic combat.
Each class in Path of Exile series has its own Ascendancies, usually 2-3, and it is expected that the number of Ascendancies for Druid in Path of Exile 2 will remain within this range. In addition, other existing base classes may also gain new Ascendancies.
Players and curiosity are insatiable, and fortunately, the development team is constantly working on it. They've even begun to hint that the next new class might be Duelist, who wields sword-type weapons - of course, this is just a preliminary idea.
Endgame Reset Again
As the most important and challenging aspect of the game, the endgame should always maintain high replayability and challenge. Therefore, Path of Exile 2 (and POE 1) almost always resets this with each new patch release.
Patch 0.4.0 is expected to further enhance the integration of the endgame progression system with narrative elements, making the endgame structure more closely linked to the overall game.
In fact, this move is already evident in the currently ongoing 0.3.0 version released in August. For example, the scene where Tangmazu, the Delirium, is released during Act 4 exploration - this is closely related to Delirium mechanic.
However, this means that powerful enemies that previously only existed in the story may become real opponents. If you encounter this situation, be sure to buy PoE 2 currency to re-roll your gear affixes so that boosting your character's combat power before starting.
Another important endgame component is Atlas Tree, which unlocks various talents and bonus nodes to improve your character's abilities or gain more loot buffs.
However, the current PoE 2 Atlas Tree is considered by players to lack depth and autonomy, so this may be adjusted and optimized in Patch 0.4.0.
More Ascension Trials
Ascendancy classes we've already mentioned won't be unlocked initially through character level progression; instead, they must be completed through relevant trials. Currently available trials include Trial of the Sekhemas and Trialmaster's Challenge.
In patch 0.3.0, Act 4 Eye of Hinekora area, you should have already noticed hints about the new Trial of the Ancestors. At that time, this content was not yet fully developed, but it is expected to be more complete and exciting in 0.4.0.
Abyss Mechanic Will Be Retained
This mechanic is the core of the current Rise of the Abyssal league, and the good news for those who enjoy it is that it will be permanently retained in Path of Exile 2!
In fact, this practice of retaining the core mechanics of the previous league has been a common practice in the first game, which is why PoE 1 was so complex and difficult for newcomers to learn.
However, considering the addition of new content, the operation of Abyss mechanic will inevitably undergo some minor changes and adjustments, but you should still be able to earn rewards by clearing Abyssal monsters.
What Will The Core Mechanic Be?
Regarding this most important topic, unfortunately, the developers are keeping it a secret, dedicated to maintaining the final mystery of Patch 0.4.0 until it is revealed to you during the live stream.
But based on the past few patch updates, you'll find that their core mechanics are essentially updates or reworks of the various league mechanics in the first game. Therefore, possible themed mechanics for Patch 0.4.0 include:
- Betrayal
- Beyond
- Bestiary
- Blight
- Delve
- Heist
- Harbinger
- Harvest
- Incursion
- Legion
- Settlers
Based on existing storylines and map exploration, players believe a remake of Delve is the most likely possibility, but more specifics will only be known after the livestream.
That concludes this introduction. We anticipate providing a more in-depth Patch 0.4.0 guide after the livestream on December 4th, but we hope this information has been helpful! Thank you for reading!

Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0 Atlas Tree Suggestions | Stronger Nodes, Balanced Value, And More Customization
Path of Exile 2 0.4.0 patch The Last of the Druids will arrive in December 12th, and the new class has undoubtedly excited many players. However, even with the new class, many players still prefer to stay in Path of Exile 1 leagues.
This is not only because Path of Exile 2 lacks a complete storyline, but also because its endgame content is still not good enough. This is evident in the fact that the official league updates consistently adjust the endgame content.
Many players hope that patch 0.4.0 will continue to improve Atlas tree, replicating some of the strengths of Path of Exile 1, but they don't want Path of Exile 2 to completely copy it, and they want it to have its own unique features to avoid the two games becoming identical.

Characteristics Of PoE 2 Atlas Tree
Path of Exile 2 consists of a main tree and multiple independent League mechanic trees, and the main tree provides general bonuses such as map quantity, item rarity, Precursor Tablets, and pack size, as well as non-league mechanics like shrines, strongboxes, essences, and rogue exiles. Players unlock points by completing nexus of corruptions.
The league mechanic trees, on the other hand, provide bonuses for specific league mechanics, such as Breach, Expedition, Delirium, and Ritual, each with its own points.
The advantage of this is that you don't have to really specialize in anything. You can max out all mechanics simultaneously without respecning, which is very beginner-friendly.
If you want to play Delirium today and Expedition tomorrow, you can directly access the full benefits of the mechanic, which is very convenient. Even if you randomly encounter any league mechanic on the map, you'll still get decent rewards and won't feel like you're wasting your time.
Characteristics Of PoE 1 Atlas Tree
Path of Exile 1 Atlas tree is a large and complex unified tree, with the main tree content and league mechanic nodes all on the same tree.
This also allows players to focus extremely highly on a specific farming strategy. For example, if a player likes Ritual, they can invest almost all their points into related nodes, significantly increasing its rewards and ensuring its appearance on every map, and the same applies to other playstyles. PoE 1 Atlas tree provides players with a highly customized experience,
but this large Atlas tree is obviously somewhat bloated and complex. For new or casual players, they need to take a lot of time studying the effects of each branch and may not even be able to find a truly effective path.
On the other hand, if a player's tree doesn't incorporate a particular mechanic, such as Delirium or Expedition, then when players randomly encounter these mechanics on the map, they'll likely ignore them since these mechanics rarely drop valuable currency or items, leading players to focus solely on their preferred gameplay.
How To Improve PoE 2 Atlas Tree?
The direction for improving Path of Exile 2 Atlas tree doesn't need to be as extreme as in Path of Exile 1, but the current system needs more depth and player agency.
Enhancing Node Influence
Currently, nodes in the main Atlas tree, especially non-core ones like Rogue Exiles and Essences, have too weak an influence. Even if they're reset, players might not notice, so everyone ends up choosing the same allocations, such as increasing map quantity, item rarity, and the drop rate of Precursor Tablets, because other options are not worthwhile.
The developers could enhance the effectiveness of these peripheral nodes, making them valuable and attractive enough to foster diverse point allocation strategies.
Balancing Node Value
Currently, item rarity has a significant impact on PoE 2 currency drops, making related nodes essential.
If the developers adjust the mechanics so that item rarity no longer affects currency drops, players will be more inclined to allocate more points to mechanics like shrines or strongboxes based on their preferred strategies.
However, players will undoubtedly complain about the disappearance of currency rarity nodes. A recommended solution is to distribute these nodes at the top of various mechanisms, guiding players to choose their preferred league mechanisms.
Increasing Node Customization Depth
Path of Exile 2's separate League mechanic trees are clear and easy to understand, and this structure can remain unchanged.
However, existing nodes can be enhanced to make each node within a mechanic tree more interesting and powerful, with a greater focus on supporting specific farming strategies.
Universal skill points can also be introduced, allowing players to gain a small number of points on top of their existing fixed points, which can be freely allocated to any League mechanic tree.
This way, if a player decides to focus on Ritual this league, they can invest these universal points into Ritual tree to maximize its benefits, achieving an effect similar to Path of Exile 1, but without depriving other mechanics of their baseline benefits.
Overall, Path of Exile 2 Atlas tree is still somewhat rudimentary. Patch 0.4.0 can make Atlas tree more impactful and give players more player agency, allowing them to play the game in many different, equally effective ways, rather than everyone following a single meta choice.

Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.1 Update Notes: Maps, Bosses, And Monster Density Changes
Nearly a month after the release of Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0: The Third Edict, the first patch is finally here. Officials announced their change plan on September 25th, and Patch 0.3.1 is expected to be released between September 29th and October 5th.
The primary focus of these changes is the endgame, and it‘s Based on player feedback. The developers have streamlined the endgame to reduce negative user experiences while maintaining benefits. Let's take a look at the specific changes in this update.

Tablets And Towers
Since players don't like the idea of finding Towers on the map to enhance it, especially finding multiple overlapping Towers for optimal benefits, we've made some optimizations to this area.
Precursor Tablets will no longer rely on Towers on the map, but will be used directly in Map Device. Each time you use a Precursor Tablet, its use count decreases, and when it reaches 0, it will be destroyed.
You can use up to three tablets on a single map, but the number of available slots depends on the number of affixes in the map. A six-affix map will have all three slots open. This obviously isn't as good as stacking multiple tablets together, but we've made some adjustments to compensate for this.
To compensate for the lower stacking limit, the effects of modifiers on tablets have been increased by approximately 2-3 times, and some new affixes (such as extra shrines and strongboxes) have been added.
To compensate for the lower content limit per map, the effects of affixes on tablets have been significantly increased by 2-3 times. Here are some clear examples:
- Collector: Item rarity increased from 7-10% to 10-30%.
- Teeming: The number of magic monsters increased from 15-25% to 25-70%.
- Of Strongboxes: The chance of containing a strongbox increased from 30-50% to 50-100%.
Tablets will also receive several new affixes:
- Of the Devoted: Contains an additional Shrine on the map.
- Of the Antiquarian: Contains an additional Strongbox on the map.
- Crystallized: Contains an additional Essence on the map.
- Exiled: Contains an additional Rogue Exile on the map.
- Azmeri: Contains an additional Azmeri Spirit on the map.
- Summoner: Contains an additional Summoning Circle on the map.
- of the Summoning: Contains a 25-50% chance of a Summoning Circle in the map.
While their role has been reduced, Towers still exist, primarily for unlocking Atlas vision and rewarding a Precursor Tablet.
Maps And Bosses
The fact that only some maps had bosses, while others required clearing all rare monsters, made the map farming experience less enjoyable. Clearing rare monsters in particular became a monotonous task of following minimap icons. We've made adjustments to address this issue.
Bosses
After patch 0.3.1, all Endgame maps will contain a map boss. Players only need to defeat the map boss to complete the map, eliminating the need to clear rare monsters. You can freely choose how many small monsters to clear.
As for map icons that previously indicated a boss, patch 0.3.1 now indicates that the boss in that map will be more challenging and offer greater rewards.
Map Randomness
To increase fun and earn more PoE 2 Currency, each map will automatically have one to three random extra items (Breach, Expedition, Ritual, Delirium, etc.) added to it upon generation.
Previously, these random items displayed icons on the map. However, starting with patch 0.3.1, these icons will be removed from Atlas. All non-player-added items will be randomly generated, while the system will avoid duplication with player-added items. If you add a Ritual activity to a map, additional items will be randomly generated.
Map Size And Monster Density
To reduce the farming time per map, we've adjusted the map size and monster density. In Tier 1 maps, the number of monsters and monster hordes has been reduced by 30%. As the map level increases, the number of monsters will gradually increase, returning to current levels by Tier 15.
Open maps will have slightly lower monster density than enclosed indoor maps to prevent overwhelmed monsters in open areas.
Fifteen maps will be reduced in size:
- Augury
- Bastille
- Blooming Field
- Channel
- Epitaph
- Fortress
- Grimhaven
- Hidden Grotto
- Oasis
- Penitentiary
- Rupture
- Savannah
- Slick
- Vaal City
- Wetlands
Other Miscellaneous Changes
Due to the introduction of tiered currency, the value of PoE 2 Orb of Alchemy PoE 2 decreased. It can now be used on magic items, upgrading them to rare and rerolling four affixes. This function is somewhat similar to a hybrid of Chao Orbs and Orbs of Alchemy.
To accommodate these changes, Atlas talent tree has been adjusted to accommodate the relevant talent nodes, but the goal is to keep the benefits largely unchanged.
Summary
Overall, most of the changes are excellent and meet player expectations. Officially stated, it's intended to pave the way for 0.4.0, and while these changes will clearly make the next season even better, it also makes PoE 2 feel more and more like PoE 1 Plus.
The changes to reduce monster density in Tier 1 through Tier 14 maps are clearly intended to help struggling new players, while this is bad news for players who are fully geared up, making farming low-level maps less rewarding and less fun. This may be the only controversial aspect of this change.
With the influx of new players entering Path of Exile 2, patch 0.3.0 aims to further simplify and reduce the difficulty of the endgame to help new players adapt. However, with the extremely demanding POE 2, building a polished build still requires considerable effort for new players.
Good gear can significantly improve the endgame experience and increase farming speed, creating a positive feedback loop. If you want to farm more efficiently in the endgame, you can buy PoE 2 Currency on IGGM.com and obtain the gear you need most.

Path Of Exile 2 Boss Rush Event To Be Held At Tokyo Game Show 2025! | Gameplay And Rewards
Nearly a month after the release of Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0, The Third Edict, Path of Exile 2 plans to participate in Tokyo Game Show 2025 (TGS 2025) from September 25th to 28th to further promote the game and the update.
Path of Exile 2 will not only showcase and promote the game, but will also host a Boss Rush Event for attendees. The better your performance, the higher your chances of winning exclusive merchandise!
So how will you play this event, and what other exciting activities will Path of Exile 2 bring to the show? We'll explain.

POE 2 In Tokyo Game Show 2025
First and foremost, Tokyo Game Show, or TGS for short, is a classic, world-renowned video game convention, first held in 1996. The show was held twice annually from 1996 to 2002, and has been held once annually in September since then.
The show typically lasts four days, with the first two days open to industry professionals and the last two days open to the public. TGS primarily showcases Japanese games, but international video game developers also participate.
This year's Tokyo Game Show will take place from September 25-28, 2025, at Makuhari Messe, and Path of Exile 2 will be located in Hall 2 Booth S03. The game is expected to use the show to showcase additional post-patch 0.3.0 content.
In addition to promoting the game and hosting a Boss Rush Event (more on this later), Path of Exile 2 will also be hosting social media abilities during TGS 2025.
For example, you can take a selfie in Vaal Orb photo booth, set it as your profile picture, and post it on social media with the hashtag "#PoE2TGS" for a chance to win an exclusive key-cap or badge set.
How To Participate In Boss Rush Event?
Path of Exile 2 booth will host this event during the show, and anyone interested can participate (though there may be a wait due to crowds).
Boss Rush Event features 15 powerful bosses from various Path of Exile 2 acts, one after another. Your challenge is to defeat as many of them as possible within a 20-minute time limit.
A live leaderboard will be displayed above the booth throughout the event. The more bosses you kill and the less time you consume on the event, the higher your ranking will be.
Not only will you enjoy the glory of being a top player, but you'll also receive exclusive game merchandise, with the number of prizes depending on how many bosses you defeat. Even if you just watch, you'll have a chance to draw a prize!
To participate in Boss Rush Event, you'll need to choose one of seven pre-selected characters (one for each class) to enter the game. The bosses will then appear one by one.
It's worth noting that before attacking the boss, you'll need to defeat several groups of monsters ahead of them to test your skill. After that, you can unleash your attacks on the boss until it's defeated.
Defeating the current boss will open the portal to the next arena, and the level of all subsequent bosses will increase. Furthermore, many of the 15 bosses are from the recent The Third Edict update. So it's difficult to defeat them all if you haven't started playing in the new league yet.
While participating in this event won't bring rewards to your game account, it will be fun and exciting, allowing you to hone your game skills. This will give you the opportunity to earn more POE 2 currency later in-game.
How To Prepare For This Event?
