As ESO's first exclusive Event Zone, Night Market is about to launch, bringing veteran players a brand-new, limited-time, high-difficulty PvE experience, along with a wealth of exclusive rewards. Let's take a comprehensive look at how this event works!
Night Market Event Overview
- Event Time: April 29th to June 17th, 2026
- Event Location: An extra-planar city of Fargrave
- Participation Requirements: Free to enter
- Type: The game's first limited-time PvE Event Zone
- Difficulty Level: Targeting veteran players, emphasizing teamwork
- Core Mechanics: Faction Reputation System, Puzzles, Tiered Bosses, and District Boons
- Rewards: Night's Den house for free, furnishing, monster sets, and collectibles

How Night Market Work?
Simply put, Night Market is a PvE Zone, but it's very large and requires cooperation. Unlike the game's standard overland zones, Night Market features significantly increased combat difficulty, approaching the level of Trials and Arenas. However, it retains the open-world gameplay structure.
This zone is designed for experienced players. While theoretically supporting solo play, teamwork and mastering boss mechanics are essential for maximizing rewards.
Its core features include: combat difficulty far exceeding that of regular open-world content, a faction-based reputation progression system, progressively increasing boss difficulty, team-based combat mechanics, and a 12-player Opulent Ordeal.
Night Market Entry Method
As an event zone emphasizing cooperative PvE gameplay, joining or following a team significantly improves character survivability and reduces the challenge difficulty. Players can directly access Night Market event area through three methods without additional payment:
- Quest Guide: Pick up the quest “Those Who Would Rule” for free from Crown Store's quest starter and follow the quest instructions to enter;
- Direct Teleport: Use Starlit Plaza Wayshrine or click the exclusive new icon on the Fargrave map to teleport directly;
- NPC Guide: Go to Shambles in eastern Fargrave, find Curator, and enter Night Market's core area through the portal he opens.
Night Market Three Factions Explained
In Night Market, you need to choose a faction, and you will receive faction-specific titles, banners, monster sets, dyes, and cosmetic rewards. There are three factions: The Glittering Goad, The Ruckus, and The Thousand Eyes.
- The Glittering Goad: An elite faction focused on wealth, controlling the vast majority of auctions and shops in Night Market. Power is contested through gold, contracts, and influence; anyone can rise to prominence here if they pay the price. Their Patron is Tachien.
- The Ruckus: A law enforcement faction that rules through force and intimidation, extracting profits from all shops under the guise of providing protection, attempting to regain dominance after their jurisdictions fall into darkness. Their Patron is Kharakhal Moon-Eye.
- The Thousand Eyes: An ancient alliance of neglected lower classes, wielding power through sheer numbers, secrecy, and information gathered in the shadows. Their Patron is Molto the Whisperer.
Faction Favor is divided into four levels: 1000, 2500, 5000, and 10000. Reaching each level unlocks exclusive rewards, and reputation is not consumed. Faction Favor Tracker, displayed in the upper right corner of the screen, shows your faction's reputation progress in real time.
Players can gain reputation by participating in boss battles, completing puzzles, participating in daring races, and completing daily quests. Different gameplay modes offer different reputation rewards; steadily accumulating reputation unlocks higher-tier rewards.
Additionally, after Night Market ends, all factions will receive exclusive banner furnishings, Shoulder rewards, gold, and more. Reward quality is determined by faction reputation ranking:
- First place - Golden quality
- Second place - Purple quality
- Third place - Blue quality
Night Market Area Division and Core Gameplay
Night Market is divided into three themed areas, each with unique danger mechanics and exclusive activities. Higher-tier bosses will only spawn after lower-tier bosses are defeated.
First is The Parch, a barren and arid region where fierce winds carry the bones of the dead, creating a perilous environment. Next is Skittering Precinct, an area overrun by reptiles, with walls riddled with nests. Finally, there's Sorrow's Friend, the dwelling place of malevolent creatures, a dark and oppressive area.
We also need to focus on the core gameplay of Night Market, mainly the various activities and daily quests.
- Challenge tiered bosses such as Brazen, Argent, and Calamit through Boss Hunting.
- Skirmishes are large-scale public combat events specific to each region.
- Daring Races, mentioned above, are timed challenges testing player skill and positioning.
- Oddities are activities for solving environmental puzzles.
- Dungeons are instance challenges exclusive to Gilded bosses.
- The final Trial is the 12-player Opulent Ordeal.
Completing daily quests quickly grants faction reputation and rewards. These are mainly divided into faction daily quests, Dorfifar daily quests, and quests triggered by interactive objects in each region.
Night Market Rewards
Faction Vendor Rewards
Without consuming Favor, reaching the corresponding Favor level allows you to purchase furnishings, curated gear coffers, collectibles, and other rewards from Faction Vendor.
Achievement Rewards and Rare Collectibles
Night Market includes exclusive achievement rewards, as well as Mythic and Antiquities clues. These clues drop in Night Market Zone, excavated in Coldharbour, so there's no need to worry about losing them after the event ends.
Loot Rewards
Night Market loot primarily includes cured armor-set pieces from dungeons and old Daedric themed rewards.
Night Market bosses drop exclusive trophies or busts, new Skill Scrolls, select item sets, and Trade Bars usable in Gold Coast Bazaar.
Ultimate Bonus: Free Night's Den House
Night's Den, located in the heart of Night Market, was once the vault of Night Market elite. Larger spaces are unlocked by completing area achievements, and it's free to acquire simply by completing the introductory quest.
What makes Night's Den House special is that accumulating 3000 Favor unlocks a functional in-house bank. You'll also have a Currency Vault to display your gold.
Additionally, there are three unlockable Wings related to area Relic achievements. If you want to switch faction flags, you can do so here by accumulating 2000 Favor.
While Night Market also supports single-player mode, it's primarily geared towards experienced players who enjoy challenging gameplay mechanics like Trials and Arenas, and is quite difficult. Best of luck in the game!
