Source: IGGMIn Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, the developers have brought many new spirit ashes to players, which can be used to help players explore and traverse Shadow Realm. In addition, many powerful summons have been added to the game, such as Black Knife Tiche and Mimic Tear.
But if you are tired of these two summons, why not try these strong spirit ashes? Currently, 20 spirit ashes have been added in the DLC, including some named after common enemies, such as Spider Scorpion Ashes or Gravebird Ashes. There are also some named after more famous enemies, such as Fire Knight Queelign and Ancient Dragon Florissax.
But among all the new summons, only the three introduced in this guide can be called Legendary Spirit Ashes. If you want to know how to find them in the DLC and how to upgrade them, then keep reading! If you have an easier way to find these Spirit Ashes, come and share it with other players in IGGM Discord. In addition, you will have a chance to get some rune rewards!
Taylew The Golem Smith
While exploring Lands of Shadow, you may find a hidden ruined forge and discover that Golem Smiths live inside. Golem Smiths are also a relatively powerful enemy in Shadow of the Erdtree, but their weak point is on the back.
So you can try to go around and attack them from the back while fighting them. If you want to get Taylew The Golem Smith summon, you need to go to Taylew’s Ruined Forge at the bottom of Ancient Rauh Ruins. If you haven’t explored it, you can find this dungeon by walking north from Ancient Ruins Base site of grace.
Like other ruined forges, you need to find a furnace at the end of the dungeon and interact with it to get the reward. Once you get Taylew The Golem Smith, you can use it against some enemies that you can’t aim at during combat, because your critical hit may not work here.
In addition, it can help you distract powerful bosses, such as Promised Consort Radahn, Radagon, etc. You can use the new incantation Heal from Afar to heal your summons safely, enabling them to fight for you longer.
Divine Bird Warrior Ornis
Ornis is one of the most powerful summons in Elden Ring DLC because of his ability to fly and his powerful moves. This description of Soul Ash gets bonus points because it explains that Ornis was the first person to be given the power to use feathers and wings. All the other horned warriors you find in Shadowlands are his descendants.
You don’t have to fight any bosses to get Divine Bird Warrior Ornis’ spirit ashes. To get it, you’ll also have to go to the Temple Town Ruins at the bottom of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. Go north from Temple Town Ruins and after a few Kindreds of Rot, you’ll find a spiritspring. You’ll need to get past this spiritspring and then jump to the roof of a ruined building to the south.
You can then use Torrent to jump to the ledge to the east of the building. From there, follow the path up the hill to find a building with a chest. Open this chest and you’ll find Divine Bird Warrior Ornis and Elden Ring Runes that are your reward.
Ancient Dragon Florissax
Ancient Dragon Florissax is probably one of the most difficult Soul Ashes to obtain in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. To obtain Ancient Dragon Florissax, you must reach the alternate ending of Dragon Communion Priestess questline.
This means that you may need to try this quest multiple times until you find the right questline. Before you can begin to progress her questline, you must deliver Moore’s Black Syrup to Thiollier, who will give you Thiollier’s Concoction in return. After you receive Thiollier’s Concoction, you will now need to wait until dark, then go to Dragon Communion Priestess and use the concoction when she is about to communicate with Placidusax.
This will put Dragon Communion Priestess to sleep immediately, severing her connection with Dragonlord. Afterwards, you will need to fight Bayle The Dread. After the battle, you can talk to Dragon Communion Priestess again, and she will give you Dragonbolt of Florissax incantation as a reward.
After you complete the above quests, don’t rush to leave. You will need to talk to Priestess for a while, and finally she will ask you to become her new lord. At this time, you can only accept the request and you will receive Ancient Dragon Florissax summons.
It should be noted here that once you confirm this ending, you cannot obtain Flowerstone Gavel weapon and Priestess Heart. You can choose the direction of your own build and attribute data.
How To Upgrade Spirit Ashes?
When you collect any Spirit Ash, your first task is to upgrade them. At the basic level, most summons can barely survive or be hit by powerful enemies. To ensure that they are actually useful, you must upgrade them with Grave Gloveworts and Ghost Gloveworts.
Once you complete Roderika’s questline, you can start upgrading Spirit Ashes you have obtained. Roderika will become a spirit tuner and sit next to Smithing Master Hewg on Roundtable Hold.
You can interact with her to give her Grave Gloveworts and Ghost Gloveworts to help you upgrade your Spirit Ashes. If you have collected all Grave Gloveworts and Ghost Gloveworts, you can give them to Twin Maiden Husks and she will give you unlimited Gloveworts 1-9. This Elden Ring Item can be used to maximize the number of summoned spirits, but it is also very rare, so you must save it.
That's it for the annoying locations of Elden Ring Legendary Spirit Ashes in the DLC and how to upgrade them. Hopefully, this guide will help you avoid a lot of hassles when it comes to finding items, and I wish you a happy game.
