  • Elden Ring: Explore The Relevance Of Maleigh Marais And Shaded Castle With The DLC

    Posted: Mar 28, 2024

The recently released Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree gameplay trailer is overflowing with information. In this trailer analysis, we delve into the narrative of Maleigh Marais and the Shaded Castle, exploring its relevance to the upcoming Elden Ring DLC.

The world of Elden Ring is expansive and vast, and even though the lands we play through are primarily dead, decorated with relics of the past, the storied history contained within makes it all feel very much alive. But this world is about to get much bigger, and more stories will be told, adding even more complexity to the lore that’s already established. Prepare for enough Elden Ring Runes and then we dive into the world of Elden Ring DLC.

    House Marais

The Marais family's history is deeply rooted in the Shaded Castle, with a dual role as executioners and castellans. Their distinctive blue robe, ornamental mask, and blood-soaked bandages characterize them. Despite their authority, all male heirs were born sickly, suggesting a curse. It's unclear if this stems from the swamp or their nature. They were employed for darker deeds beyond the castle, as seen in Capital Outskirts. This indicates a complex history beyond mere executioners, intertwined with royalty and grim tasks.

    Maleigh Marais

If the Marais family enjoyed prominence and favor with the capital, what caused their downfall? To answer this, we examine Maleigh Marais, the current head of the family, found outside the walls of the Shaded Castle. Armed with a poisonous Antspur Rapier, Maleigh was deeply devoted to the legend of Scarlet Rot, embodying his own personal goddess, Melenia.

However, his obsession led to neglect of his duties as executioner and governor, allowing others to seize power. A ghost at the castle's base remarks on the family's ruin, attributing it to Maleigh Marais. This downfall is further detailed in the tale of Elemer of the Briar, who stole the Marais Executioner's Greatsword and ousted Maleigh, leading to the castle's destruction.

Maleigh's story illustrates the consequences of forsaking duty, offering insight into the culture of the Lands Between and its transformation over time, which is pertinent to the upcoming DLC.

    Shaded Castle

In the northern half of Elden Ring's map, along the border of Altus Plateau in Mt. Gelmir, is a ruined castle that bears the markings of time. Situated at the exit of a ravine and sunken into a poisonous swamp, with many of the structures within the keep walls destroyed and submerged. From the outside looking in, it appears to be a terrible place to live, unfit for anyone of nobility.

However, once upon a time, it was a fair castle ruled over by a house, a family of nobility whose story is marred in confusion, obsession, and tragedy. The denizens of this Shaded Castle are House Marais, who were once prominent, living lives of royalty. Although afflicted by a curse, a curse that would eventually, through one descendant, cause a chain of events that would bring down not only the family but the Shaded Castle as well.

    DLC Contents

Before the shattering, the world of Elden Ring embraced a high fantasy theme, distinct from many of FromSoftware's other works. Central to this theme is the narrative focus on families and houses, with demi-gods and their offspring playing significant roles. Despite minor interactions with factions like House Hoslow, much of the lore surrounding houses remains underdeveloped. However, the DLC trailer hints at a deeper exploration of this aspect.

Notably, the NPCs in the trailer wear masks reminiscent of those worn by the Marais family, suggesting a broader cultural significance. These masks, used to conceal signs of disease, hint at a shared tradition across various cultures, including the Knight of Zamor.

Miyazaki's mention of the Land of Shadow, home to a different culture from the Lands Between, further supports this idea. Exploring various houses outside the influence of divine authority could provide insight into the larger scope of the world. House Marais serves as a starting point for unraveling these mysteries, offering a glimpse into the diverse cultures and histories that await exploration in the DLC.

  • Elden Ring: This Easy-To-Build Blood Star Build Is Perfect For Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

    Posted: Mar 26, 2024

Hi, players! Are you tired of Elden Ring builds requiring constant buffing and gear adjustments just to face a boss? Fear not! Today, allow me to present the Blood Star build, which is a revolutionary, dominant setup. Journey through the darkest depths of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC as the Blood Star guides you to hidden treasures and formidable challenges. Without wasting time, let's dive in!

    Blood Star Overview

Introducing the Blood Star, emerging from the Vagabond class, featuring meticulously tailored stats engineered for unparalleled dominance. Sporting a Vigor of 60 for enduring health, an Endurance of 38 for unwavering stamina, and a Strength of 60 for devastating blows, this build is finely tuned for obliterating enemies with ruthless efficiency. However, the crowning achievement lies in its Arcane stat, soaring to 80, providing an astounding 90% scaling return - a veritable feast for those hungry for power.

    Gear Setup

Get ready with your Elden Ring Runes and embrace the simplicity of combat! The Occult Star Fist +25 reigns supreme as the epitome of destruction, further fueled by the Ash of War: Barbaric Roar, enhancing physical strikes by 7.5% and infusing them with unparalleled vigor.

Adorn yourself with the White Mask to amplify attack potency upon triggering bleeding effects, while donning the resilient Omen set ensures unparalleled endurance, boasting 82 poise to withstand relentless enemy assaults with ease.

    Talismans

Talismans hold a profound influence on the arsenal of the Blood Star build. Whether it's the Lord of Blood’s Exultation or Millicent’s Prosthesis, each talisman seamlessly harmonizes, augmenting attack prowess with every relentless strike.

And let's not overlook the Roar Medallion, which heightens the potency of the Barbaric Roar, ensuring that adversaries quiver in fear before the sheer might you wield. The combat simplicity is where the Blood Star truly shines.

    Flask Of Wondrous Physick

In the Flask of Wondrous Physick, we have the Thorny Cracked Tear, boosting our attack power by up to 20% with successive hits. This is also scaling with Rotten Winged Sword Insignia and Millicent's Prosthesis. And then we have the Greenburst Crystal Tear, boosting our stamina recovery speed.

With just a sip of the Physick Flask and a primal roar, you’re primed for annihilation. Whether Dual Wielding the Star Fist weapon for relentless barrages of light attacks or unleashing savage heavy combos empowered by Barbaric Roar, victory is swift and inevitable. And for the PvP enthusiasts, the Blood Star leaves a trail of devastation in its wake, asserting dominance with every swing.

    PvP & PvE Combat

Unlock the full potential of the Blood Star by incorporating the Highland Axe into your offhand, granting an additional 10% boost to Barbaric Roar - a game-changing build in both PvE and PvP encounters. Prepare to unleash chaos and conquer Elden Ring like never before with the Blood Star build.

Let's have a look at how the combat works. There are 2 ways to fight. First, just Dual Wielding the Star Fist and split it into 2 hands, then go to town with simple light attacks. You will hit hard and fast, and the successive hits will very quickly activate all the gear boosted by them. Then when bleed also kicks in, the damage just stacks and goes completely through the roof.

The second way to approach combat is to take advantage of the savage heavy combo attack we now have, thanks to Barbaric Roar. Just hit R2 as much as you can and unleash a brutal heavy combo that wrecks bosses. You can circle around enemies to keep hits going, and in a lot of cases, you don't even need to roll.

If you put a Highland Axe in your off-hand, you actually get a plus 10% boost to Barbaric Roar, which stacks with our Roar Medallion. You don't even have to be wielding it in your hand for the buff. You can put the Ash of War: Golden Vow on the Longsword that the Vagabond class starts with. Use that first to boost your attack and defense and then switch the Highland Axe to your off-hand.

Are you ready to embrace the power of the Blood Star and conquer Elden Ring like never before? Join me on this epic journey and witness the birth of a new era in gaming greatness. Embrace the power of the Blood Star and reign supreme in the world of Elden Ring.

  • Elden Ring: What Kind Of Existence Is Miquella In The DLC? - A Personal Analysis

    Posted: Mar 22, 2024

I have thoroughly analyzed the Elden Ring DLC gameplay trailer, delving into key aspects to offer informed speculation. This includes insights into the DLC’s plot, revelations about new lords and, significantly, how the DLC will reshape the narrative we previously understood. Today, we’re addressing a critical topic - the role will Miquella play in the DLC.

Now that we have some background information on the Shadowlands, and confirmation that Miquella disappears here every time he leaves the Lands Between, we can begin to formulate a compelling explanation for why this is the case.

    About Miquella

In the original Elden Ring, the story of Miquella left us at a dead end, with him seemingly dead inside a cocoon, kidnapped by Mohg. However, numerous references throughout the game imply that Miquella is too powerful to give in to such a setup so easily.

His ambitious goals, such as lifting the curse on Malenia and restoring the withered healing tree, all ended in failure. This contrasted sharply with his reputation as the most fearsome Imperion. It became evident that there was more complexity to his story than initially presented.

Now, with the upcoming DLC, Miquella emerges as a central figure, offering the promise of answers to these lingering mysteries as players, along with the NPCs in the DLC, pursue him as a primary plot element. But the question still remains: Why is he in the Land of Shadow when everything he cared about in the Lands Between is in disarray? In order to get closer to this character in the game, don't forget to prepare some Elden Ring Runes.

    Land Of Shadow

Let’s start with the facts. The Land of Shadow is a place veiled from the outside, hidden from normal sight by Queen Marika, a place ravaged by an unsung war where, according to Miyazaki, the tree was born and Queen Marika ascended to godhood.

It was to this land that Miquella departed, divesting himself of his flesh, his strength, his lineage, of all things golden. And now, Miquella awaits the return of his promised Lord. Which makes it seem as though the caved state we find him in was indeed the key to reaching the Land of Shadow, and could suggest that Mohg’s intervention was part of his plan.

It is currently established in the Lands Between that in order to become a lord of a new age, there needs to be a god and a consort, which is what Mohg was trying to achieve, knowing that Miquella would awaken as a god with him as the consort. But we ultimately put an end to those plans.

The description also makes it seem like Mohg is aware of all of this as he’s awaiting a lord. So, there’s an endless stream of questions here, but assuming that the goals Miquella had in the base game are consistent with his ambitions in the DLC, what does he actually stand to gain by going through all of this trouble and venturing to the Land of Shadow?

    Erdtree

With the Erdtree being the primary object of Mohg’s divinity, there has to have been a reason aside from Mohg that it didn’t reach its full potential, something that can only be found in this Land of Shadow and that will help him achieve all of those ambitions. The Erdtree could be the key to everything, just as Erdtree governs the laws of the land, holds life-giving power, and houses a god.

But if the Land of Shadow is the place where Erdtree was born, as well as the location where Queen Marika became a god, does that mean her obtaining her Erdtree is what granted her that godhood? There’s a pretty simple explanation here if we think about it for overall ideas.

The Land of Shadow is a place where a proper Eldtree was born. Miquella tried to grow his own in the Lands Between but ultimately failed. And now, it’s a mystery why he’s in the place where one was grown before. There’s probably some power in the Land of Shadow that enables these trees to grow. Perhaps that’s why Queen Marika veiled it so no others could emerge to challenge hers.

    Final Thought

Why is Miquella terrifying? Why this constant framing of fear when the only images of him we ever see are of a little boy in need of comforting? Miquella is an Imperion, a candidate chosen by the Fingers to ascend to godhood and inherit the Erdtree. However, none of the current Imperion we know about in the game follows their intended path.

But that’s the most obvious and simple explanation. Miquella on a mission to find the missing link that will allow him to complete his Erdtree. There are still far too many mysteries around Miquella for him to simply be this all-good hero figure, because why then all the fear? There’s much more to unravel, but these are the answers we won’t find out until we actually get our hands on the DLC.

  • Elden Ring: A Detailed Guide On How To Complete Sellen's Questline

    Posted: Dec 23, 2023

Sellen's questline is one of the coolest questlines that is in all of Elden Ring. It has a very rich lore story. And Sellen is one of the most interesting NPCs as well.

So, here, I'm going to go through her entire questline and everything you need to know.

    Sellen's First Location

Sellen's first location is going to be in the Waypoint Ruins Cellar within Limbrave.

So, you want to go to her right away as soon as you start the game and at least initiate a conversation with her.

She's not going to give you much in this conversation except for an apprenticeship, but that's really all you can do for her for now.

    Azur's Location

The next portion of the quest happens much later in the game, and you need to go to this location so you can find Azur.

You need to talk to Azur and get the Comet Azur spell, and then you can go back to Sellen, and that will trigger more dialogue.

    Conversation With Sellen

At this point, you'll have the option to show Sellen the Azur conversation with Sorceress Sellen, and you're going to want to go ahead and do that and continue to go through all of her dialogue.

You'll then have the option for her to tell you a story. And in her story, you're also going to want to tell her that you can journey together, at which point she will be very relieved and will give you the Sellian Sealbreaker.

Continue to exhaust all of her dialogue until she gives you the Lead on Lusat, and at which point, you're going to need to head all the way to the Sellia Hideaway in Caelid and make your way through that dungeon to find Lusat.

    Lusat's Location

Once you find this seal in the Sellia Hideaway, you can make your way all the way to Lusat, who's going to be sitting on some crystals, and he's going to give you the Stars of Ruin, which is your second legendary sorcery within this questline.

    Return To Sellen

At this point, you're going to return to Sellen and you're going to tell her about Lucat's location, and she's going to be quite relieved.

Now, in order to progress her questline anymore, you need to go and defeat Radahn.

    Defeat Radahn

If you've already defeated Radahn, you can go ahead and skip this step. But that is the next step in order for her to progress and give you the next piece of her dialogue.

    Sellen's Favor

Now that you've defeated Radahn, you will once again return to Sellen, who is not moved at all.

She is going to ask you a favor, and that favor is to head over to the Witchbane Ruins in order for you to find her actual body.

You find out that her body this time has just been a projection, but her actual body is in shackles within that Witchbane Ruins.

    Witchbane Ruins

So, you want to head from Sorceress Sellen into the Witchbane Ruins in Weeping Peninsula.

And you're going to want to make your way through the ruins, going down underground, and you will see Sellen chained up with the shackles.

You need to approach her and start a conversation, and she will end up giving you her Primal Glenstone.

    Talk To Jerren

At this point, we are going to go talk to a different NPC altogether. This is where Sellen and Jerren's questline slowly start to intertwine with each other.

You're going to head all the way back to Redmane Castle where you fought Radahn. And you're going to end up going back and talking to Jerren, who should be sitting on the throne of Redmane Castle.

As you talk to him, he’s going to mention that his duty is now done, and he has something he needs to go and do. Exhaust all of his dialogue, and then you can leave the castle.

You’re going to head right back to meet Jerren at Witchbane Ruins, where you have just received the Primal Glenstone from Sellen.

There, you’re going to find Jerren looking at Sellen’s corpse, and you need to exhaust all of his dialogue. There, you find out that Sellen is actually a horrible witch, and he is speculating that she is still alive somewhere, but his trail has gone cold.

    Kill Loretta In Carian Manor

Now, for the next part of the quest, you need to progress the game all the way up until you can get to the Carian Manor in Liurnia of the Lakes.

Fight your way through the manor until you get to the end boss, Loretta, and you need to fight Loretta in Carian Manor to get past her into where the Three Sisters towers are.

    Find Sellen’s Real Body

Once you defeat Loretta, you’re going to this location here on the map.

You’re going to hit the fourth floor. You need to venture into the ruins and hit an illusionary wall to find Sellen’s actual body.

You will then place the Glenstone in Sellen’s body and have a conversation with her, exhausting all of her dialogue. She’s going to tell you that she wants to reignite the primeval current at Raya Lucaria Academy, and that’s where she’s headed next.

    Head To Raya Lucaria Academy

Now, you’re going to make your way all the way back through Raya Lucaria Academy.

At this point in the questline, you are going to be presented with 2 very pivotal options, both of which have different outcomes.

The first option is you can summon Jerren to help you kill Sellen, or the second option is you can help Sellen to kill Jerren.

    Fight Jerren

We’re choosing Sellen’s option this time around. So, we are going to be summoned into a world where Sellen and Jerren are fighting where Rennala used to be.

After defeating Jerren, you’re going to head back to your world and you’ll be rewarded with all of the Eccentric’s Hood armor.

    Final Conversation With Sellen

You’ll then approach Sellen and talk to her.

She is going to tell you all about how she is going to take over Raya Lucaria Academy and how she is so thankful for your help.

She then tells you that when you become Elden Lord, she and Raya Lucaria Academy are going to swear allegiance to you, and she wishes you the best on your way.

You can then finish exhausting her dialogue, and she will reward you with the Glintstone Kris dagger as well as have the Shard Spiral sorcery within her inventory that you can buy with your Elden Ring Runes.

Rest At Grace & Collect Rewards

You’ll now rest at the Site of Grace. And when you get back up, you’re going to realize Rennala is back in her place, and there is an orb or a clump of faces in the corner of the room.

Run over and grab the item on the ground, which is Sellen’s crown. And you will realize that Sellen has been turned into one of her own experiments. She is now forever inside of Raya Lucaria Academy as a twisted morph of heads, just like all of the other people that she tormented.

You’re not quite done yet because there are still 2 armor sets you can go pick up as of this point in the questline. You can head all the way back to Azur on Mt Gelmir.

    Pick Up Armor Sets

You can pick up his entire armor set.

Then, you can head back to Sellia Hideaway and go back to where Lusat was. You can pick up his armor set as well.

What Happens If You Help Jerren

Lastly, if you did end up helping Jerren, all you need to do after defeating Sellen is go back out of Rennala’s room. He will be standing there leaning up against his sword.

You can exhaust all of his dialogue and receive an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.

  • Elden Ring: How To Obtain The Elusive Shard Of Alexander? - Comprehensive Walkthrough For Alexander's Questline

    Posted: Dec 19, 2023

In this guide, I'm going to show you every single step you need in order to get the Shard of Alexander from Alexander's questline with an Elden Ring.

    Initiating Alexander's Questline

You're going to start this questline by initiating Alexander's questline out in Limgrave, right at the Saintsbridge Site of Grace.

You're going to hear someone calling for you, and you're going to find Alexander sunk into the ground. All you need to do is talk to him and exhaust all of his dialogue.

And by the way, at every single step you take in this questline, you need to exhaust every single bit of dialogue, or there's a potential that the NPC, whoever it may be, will not move on to their next part.

After you talk to Alexander, you need to hit him in the back a few times, and then he will pop out, giving you 1 Exalted Flesh and then having the ability to move on to his next location.

    Radahn Fight & Conversation

The next place you're going to find Alexander is in Redmane Castle.

You can talk to him in the courtyard there before you need to fight Radahn. You can summon him for the Radahn Fight.

And after you dispose of Radahn, you can then find Alexander on the side of the hill, and you can talk to him and exhaust all of his dialogue so that he will then move on to his next location.

    (Optional) Gael Tunnel Explanation

Now, there is an opportunity before this point in the game, where you can find Alexander in the Gale Tunnel on the border of Limgrave and Caelid.

However, that is not a necessary part of the quest. And if you do happen to run into him there, you will have a little extra dialogue. But like I said, it is not 100% necessary for him to move on to Redmane Castle.

    Seethwater Terminus Location

After exhausting all of Alexander's dialogue after defeating Radahn, you're then going to locate him again in Seethewater Terminus after you defeat the giant dragon worm.

Alexander will be standing in the lava, and you can exhaust all of his dialogue. He will then give you the Jar Helmet.

And after leaving the area, he will then move on to his next location.

(Optional) Liurnia Of The Lakes Location

Before this location in the game, though, there is another area you can find him, which is in Liurnia of the Lakes right by Jarburg.

But if you didn't locate him here and only found him in Seethwater Terminus, that is okay. Because the Liurnia of the Lakes location, once again, is not 100% necessary for Alexander's questline.

If you do end up going to Liurnia of the Lakes and finding him there, you are going to need to get some Oil Pots, which can be bought from this merchant here in the Siofra River.

And you can come back, throw them on him, and then heavy attack, and he will get knocked out of that hole.

You'll then continue up to Seethwater Terminus and do the exact step before he moves on to his next location.

    Fire Giant Fight

For Alexander's next appearance, you're going to head all the way up to the Mountaintops of the Giants, and you will have the ability to summon him on the ground while you fight the Fire Giant.

Some people have said that this is an optional step, but I had always summoned him here. And in every single playthrough, it's always allowed him to move to the next location. So, I thought better safe than sorry.

But he is absolutely phenomenal as you fight the Fire Giant. He takes a lot of damage and will tank that giant for you, allowing you to get off all of your attacks pretty much with ease. Of course, if you have enough Elden Ring Runes, you can also buy some sophisticated weapons and armor to equip yourself.

But after you defeat the Fire Giant, Alexander will then move on to his next location after he dissipates into the air.

How To Get The Crumbling Farum Azula?

In order to even get to the next location, you need to go ahead and light the Forge of the Giants. That is going to allow you to traverse all the way to Crumbling Farum Azula.

    Final Conversation With Alexander

You’re going to make your way through that area to the Dragon Temple Lift and then walk along the way until you reach Alexander, where you will have your final confrontation with the beloved NPC.

Once you find him, you need to speak through all of his dialogue, and he’s going to challenge you to a final conversation with the fight. Then, you must go ahead and kill Alexander.

After you kill Alexander, you will be rewarded with the Shard of Alexander Talisman and Alexander’s Innards, which you can then take to Jar Bairn in the Jar-Bairn questline.

  • Elden Ring: How To Get Unlimited Somber Smithing Stones 1-9 Easily?

    Posted: Dec 15, 2023

If you really want to progress in Elden Ring, upgrading your weapons is crucial. This guide will help you get unlimited Somber Smithing Stones in Elden Ring so that you can upgrade the weapon of your choice.

    Unlimited Somber Smithing Stones

Smithing Stones are required to upgrade all weapons in Elden Ring, except Legendary Armaments. They are very rare and hard to find in the game’s vast world.

Another issue here is that since Somber Smithing Stones are difficult to get, many players choose to stick with a single weapon from the start. This allows them to use all Smithing Stones to upgrade a weapon. If you want to try a unique weapon, you will need to find more Smithing Stones to upgrade it.

Therefore, Elden Ring also solves this problem, allowing you to spend Elden Ring Runes in the game to purchase any number of Smithing Stones.

But that wasn’t an option from the start. To get the option to buy Somber Smithing Stones in Elden Ring, you’ll also need Bell Bearing. This Bearing will unlock Smithing Stones at Twin Maiden Husks merchant in Roundtable Hall.

In addition to Stone Bells, there is another way to get Smithing Stones 1 and 2, and that is to go to the giant in Liurnia of the Lakes. To do this, you need to go to Road to the Manor Site of Grace, and the giant will be in front of you.

    Location

Let’s start with our first Bell Bearing location and upgrade our weapons to a better gaming experience.

    Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [1]

The first Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing was discovered in Sellia Tunnels. You can find them in Caelid, or head directly to the tunnel from the teleportation trap chest in Dragon-Burnt Ruins.

Complete Ruins mission and defeat the ultimate boss to get Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [1]. It lets you purchase Somber Smithing Stone 1 and 2 from merchants.

If you don’t want to go through Sellia Mines, you can also go to Caria Manor. Near Site of Grace leading to Manor, you can find the blacksmith War Counselor Iji. He sells unlimited Somber Smithing Stones 1 and 2 by default.

    Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [2]

In this Altus Tunnel in Altus Plateau, near Minor Erdtree, complete Mine and the last boss will drop Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [2].

With this Bell Bearing, it allows you to purchase Somber Smithing Stone 3 and 4 from the merchant.

    Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [3]

The third Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing is located on Mountaintops of the Giants. Here, First Church of Marika is located on the east corner of Freezing Lake. There is a body outside the church. Pick it up to get Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [3].

With this Bell Bearing, it allows you to purchase Somber Smithing Stone 5 and 6 from the merchant.

    Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [4]

The fourth Bell Bearing is in Crumbling Farum Azula. Make your way through the area until you reach Tempest Facing Balcony Site of Grace. There is a corpse next to Site of Grace with Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [4] on it.

With this Bell Bearing, it allows you to purchase Somber Smithing Stone 7 and 8 from the merchant.

    Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [5]

In Crumbling Farum Azula, we also find the fifth Bell Bearing. After killing the boss Godskin Duo here, you can continue following the path to the right until you reach where the dragon is.

Then take the right path with the dragon ahead and you’ll find a ledge with a small bridge made of collapsed buildings. After crossing the bridge and entering the room on the right side of the bridge, kill all the enemies and loot the items behind him to get Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [5].

With this Bell Bearing, it allows you to purchase Somber Smithing Stone 9 from the merchant.

Those are all the locations I could find for Somber Smithing Stone 1-9. Can you find all Somber Smithing Stones? Do you know of any other locations? Good luck!

  • Elden Ring 1.10: How To Beat Malenia By Using Cheese Method?

    Posted: Dec 12, 2023

Don't feel bad if you have to use a cheese method to take down Malenia in Elden Ring. The method can work with really any weapon set, but I found that the Rivers of Blood was the best Katana for shredding down her health bar with my build. High stagger weapons also work really well as her poise can be broken fairly easily for a boss type enemy. Malenia, Blade of Miquella may take many attempts but with this cheese boss guide you can take her down!

Having sufficient Elden Ring Runes is also very necessary if you want to complete the game more easily and quickly.

The first thing we’re going to do is we want to have the Shabriri's Woe, and then we’re going to take it off at the very start of the battle while Malenia is running towards us. The reason for doing this is it’s going to make her go towards our mimic instead of us, which allows us to just spam our attacks.

So, using the Rivers of Blood is really useful here since she is vulnerable to the bleed damage, as she also does it herself. But I think that the best thing you can do here is just spam Corpse Piler from the side, and whenever she does inevitably aggro on you, work on just dodging her attacks to the best of your ability. She has that really long Katana, making it difficult to dodge, but if you’re able to get to the side and just completely spam your attacks, she’ll be down in no time.

You really want the mimic to last to the second phase of this, and you do that by damaging her really quickly, as she’s going to heal herself as she hits you. So, watch out for the Waterfowl Dance. You want to get her down really quickly in this first phase.

For the second phase, it’s best to just stick back at the start, and you’ll see here what to do. But this is a kind of where you get stuck if she keeps healing herself and continually brings that health bar back up. During the second phase, we’re going to watch out for this attack, as she does of damage with it. As you can see, just watching for the petals because, as they come downwards, they’re going to hit you as well and deal damage. My mimic got hit by it; he didn’t get the memo. But this is now time to start spamming Corpse Piler again.

Now, I’ve also beaten her using a Strength build, so using heavy hammers you can stagger her really easily, but I found this weapon to work really well as she can be pretty quickly, and it takes down her health very fast. So, I would recommend using this if you got Rivers of Blood. If not, you can build for it, and it can be an incredibly powerful build.

I would also recommend that Shabriri's Woe that I talked with at the start is it gets her to focus on your mimic more so than you, and I found that to be a pretty powerful technique in some bosses that might be a bit more challenging, as she is very challenging. But watch out for this attack, stick it back, and let her do her thing, and then come in. Make sure you keep your FP high because you want to use your weapon arts as they deal a lot of damage.

Now she inflicted me with Scarlet Rot. Ideally, this doesn’t happen until right about now, as if you don’t pay attention, it will take you out. But that’s how you can cheese Malenia, Goddess of Rot, and Blade of Miquella in Elden Ring. Shabriri's Woe helps a lot, as well as using bleed damage.

  • Elden Ring: How To Obtain And Use The Overpowered Weapon? - Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear

    Posted: Dec 09, 2023

Let me show you how to obtain and how to use this amazing weapon in Elden Ring. It is definitely one of the best single target weapons and area of effect weapons. This is just something you have to obtain and start using. It is really super powerful and it definitely is in the S category when it comes to weaponry.

First things, I’m actually going to show you how you are going to obtain this weapon. The weapon itself is going to be the Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear. When it comes to Spears, this is definitely the best one or one of the best ones in the game. Its unique skill is Bloodboon Ritual, which is like an AOE effect ability which just does wonderful damage to you. It is just a really powerful skill, so to obtain this weapon. You have to travel to what I call the Underworld and you have to travel to Mohgwyn Palace. Once you get to this area right over here, you’re going to go up these little stairs and then you’re going to travel up this elevator. If you’re like me and you have included the elevator down, just quickly call it, jump on it and then make your way up to the top.

It being a Boss Weapon, so you do have to actually defeat Mohgwyn himself. He is a sort of challenging boss. Upon defeating the boss, you can go ahead. If you have enough Elden Ring Runes, you can purchase the weapon from the two Finger Reader at the round table and she’ll give you the weapon.

The weapon is really overpowered. If you have any type of spear or blood damage medallions, you should definitely equip them because any type of buff like that will definitely increase the damage of this weapon. Just the best requirements to fully develop this and have an insanely overpowered weapon.

I’m just going to give you a brief run and showcase you the weapon in action because you know most of you care about that, mostly. Here you can see for yourself the weapon does perfect against. So if you go into a crowded area, you will have no problem. It is incredible against crowded enemies. So if you have a bunch of them, you won’t struggle if you come across a single target enemy.

Like one enemy or one elite enemy or a boss, this is a weapon that also won’t struggle. If you also can upgrade this weapon to the max level being 10, it will significantly increase the damage output of this weapon. In addition, if any of you have the White Mask, definitely put it on because it is actually works well with this weapon. So that sort of one Armor piece.

I recommend you opt it if you haven’t got it yet. If you’re going to be using this weapon because it gives it an incredible boost and a buff, so try to get that. But overall if you are after a spear build and you want to have a weapon that will destroy enemies and you won have to struggle with using it. This is definitely the weapon that I recommend you to use. Give it a shot.

  • Elden Ring: The Best New Overpowered Build After The Latest Patch

    Posted: Dec 09, 2023

I’ll show you this outstanding build in Elden Ring. The build itself is going to be around a specific weapon, and this weapon being the Greatsword. Now, if you do not have this weapon and you don’t know how to obtain it, well, you are in luck because I’m about to show you how to get this weapon. It really is a simple weapon to obtain. There is no massive boss to fight.

It is just in a location where you simply have to go and pick it up. So you’re going to open up your map and then you’re going to proceed to travel to this rest point right over here. Now, once you spawn at this rest point, you are going to go ahead and just simply turn around and in the distance, you’re going to see this black, massive wagon. Just run up to the wagon. There are going to be some enemies.

If you can try to avoid them and just be quick about it. But once you get to the wagon, you’re going to go to the back of it and in it there will be a chest. Go ahead and open that chest and inside of it, Radahn. If you manage to pick it up and you don’t die to the enemies, you are going to get yourself the Greatsword. Now, of course, just like with any weapon, I would highly recommend you try to level this weapon up to the highest level possible. If you can max it out at level 25, that is perfect. Of course, it will be easier if you have enough Elden Ring Runes.

Regards to the weapon abilities, you can actually put any type of Ash of War on because of course it is a level 25 based weapon. So the Ash of War I highly recommend you obtain and put on this weapon is going to be the Giant Hunt. This Ash of War makes this weapon incredibly fast, allowing you to take quick swings at enemies and being able to do more damage in a shorter period.

So combining this weapon and this specific Ash of War is just a work of dreams. You are going to be just slaying enemies left, right and center. So it is just a magnificent combination and plus great swords are a really splendid weapon to use because they have high reach or long reach and a good amount of damage and they are a heavy weapon so you are going to be doing that heavy damage numbers.

Regarding the Talismans, we’re going to go ahead and obtain. The first one is going to be the Ritual Shield Talisman, the second one is going to be the Shard of Alexander. The third one is going to be the great Jar's Arsenal and finally the fourth one is going to be the Erdtree’s Favor. Now these medallions work magic with this weapon and this build.

If you’re wondering about Armor, you can technically use whatever armor fits you best because there aren’t no specific requirements for that part. And if you’re wondering about the Flask of Wondrous Physick, the two tears I recommend you obtain are going to be the Stone Barb Cracked Tear. When it comes to the Flask, I only recommend you use it before a massive boss fight just to get your damage up. And also you can use it when you are facing smaller enemies. But of course it is prioritizing the aspect of you fighting bosses and the flask itself is aimed at boss fights.

Definitely have these two equipped if you are going to be facing big bosses and just heavy leveled enemies. But overall this build is just really powerful. It works well with the weapons and all the requirements I mentioned will make this build even better than it originally is, just with the Greatsword and the Ash of War alone.

  • Elden Ring 1.10: The Ultimate OP Build Featuring Dual Reduvia - Bloody Butcher

    Posted: Dec 08, 2023

The Bloody Butcher is a New Game Plus level 150 Dex Arcane build that’s going to focus on using 2 Reduvias and a grouping of Talismans that I feel synergize so well that they cause a devastating amount of damage to enemies and bosses in Elden Ring.

This build allows you to just run right through the game having little to no problem as you make your way through the Lands between.

Please make sure you have enough Elden Ring Runes ready before making this build.

    How It Works?

In this Bloody Butcher build, we’ve set up the Reduvias to do not only a lot of damage with melee, but also with the Ash of War to completely destroy any boss or enemy that you’re going to come across in Elden Ring.

And honestly, I wanted to see if the Reduvia lived up to the hype after the most recent patch. This weapon has gone through a few different nerfs over the course of the entirety that Elden Ring has been out. So I wanted to take a stab at it to see if I could make this weapon very viable.

    Weapon

Starting out with the stats of the Reduvia, I have Mind at + 9 and I have physical damage of '182+ 219'.

And you’re going to have a Strength scaling of 'E', a Dex scaling of 'C', and an Arcane scaling of 'B'. This is going to cause blood loss at 94 and it’s only going to require 5 strength, 13 dexterity and 13 Arcane to use. So, definitely an early game weapon, especially since you can get it in Limgrave after you defeat the Invader with Yura’s help.

Sadly, there is not a way to get a second Reduvia until you get to New Game Plus, unless you have somebody drop 1 for you. But that is the main reason that this is a New Game Plus build, is because both weapons can’t simultaneously exist in 1 playthrough.

    Talismans

Moving on into the Talismans, we do have a few Talismans that will stack on top of each other, allowing your attack rating to absolutely skyrocket.

The first Talisman we’re going to be using is the Millicent's Prosthesis. This is an excellent Talisman that’s going to help boost your attack power. And the more times you hit your enemy, the more your attack power is going to boost, leaving you with a + 11% attack power boost with this particular Talisman.

However, it does stack with our second Talisman and that is the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia. This is also going to act very similar to Millicent's Prosthesis. However, it’s going to give you a higher rating for your attack power, leaving you with 13% attack power boost. But it does not give you the extra dexterity that the Millicent's Prosthesis does.

In Talisman slot number 3, we have the Lord of Blood’s Exultation, which is going to cause anytime there’s blood loss in the vicinity for our attack power to boost up by 20%. This is also going to stack with the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia and Millicent's Prosthesis, absolutely skyrocketing our attack power, thus making our damage go way up.

For Talisman slot number 4, we have the Shard of Alexander and this is going to greatly boost the attack power of our skills. Obviously, we’re going to be using the Reduvia Ash of War and we want that 15% extra damage that we can get from this Talisman to be applied to that weapon.

If you want to get these Talismans for the build, the Millicent’s Prosthesis and Rotten Winged Sword Insignia are going to be attained from Millicent’s questline.

However, I mentioned before that having 2 Reduvias is the only reason that this is a New Game Plus build. I misspoke, and this is actually the other reason that this is a New Game Plus build. You get both of these Talismans from Millicent’s questline, but you cannot do it within the same playthrough because of the decisions you have to make in her questline: one decision is going to leave you with Millicent’s Prosthesis and the other is going to leave you with the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia.

The Lord of Blood’s Exultation is going to be found in the Lindell Leyndell Catacombs after you defeat the boss there, but be careful because he does a ton of bleed damage and can kill you rather quickly.

Lastly, the Shard of Alexander is going to be received from Alexander’s questline.

    Flask

For your Flask of Wondrous Physick, you’re going to be using 2 particular tiers that I feel benefit the build very well. But if you find that you want to swap one of these out, I will also let you know what some substitutions could be if you want to put something different in this build.

First and foremost, we’re using the Dexterity-knot Crystal Tear, because we have a lot more Arcane than we do Dexterity with this particular build, just so we can get a lot of our bleed damage off. But this is going to give us + 10 Dexterity after we drink our flask, allowing us, when we do get up close and personal with the Reduvia. Because your physical damage with the Reduvia is going to scale a lot better with Dex than it will with Arcane.

For the second tear in our flask, we’re using the Thorny Cracked Tear, one of my all-time favorite tears in Elden Ring. And this is going to temporarily boost your successive attack power. As you attack more and more, this tear is going to give you a 20% increase in your attack power, thus allowing us to get more damage poured into the build.

The Dexterity-knot Crystal Tear is going to be located in the Liurnia of the Lakes, so you can get it pretty easily. It’s going to be on a very small island, which is in the southwest of the Boilprawn Shack.

However, the Thorny Cracked Tear is going to be a much later game tier, found in the Consecrated Snowfield, after you kill the Putrid Avatar guarding the Minor Erdtre in the north.

If you do want to substitute one of these tears out, I highly recommend you keep the Thorny Crack Tear in here. But you can take the Dexterity-knot Crystal Tear out for a Stamina tear, just because you are going to be eating through Stamina with daggers and you’re attacking so fast. Or, if you find you get hit more times than not, possibly putting the Opaline Bubbletear in there to give you a little of grace in that area would be good for your build.

    Armor

For your armor, you can use absolutely anything you want as long as you get over that 51 Poise mark.

The only armor piece that I would recommend for this build is using the White Mask because that’s going to give you a 10% increase in your attack power if blood loss is in the vicinity. This is going to stack with every Talisman we have and our Flask of Wondrous Physick, so it’s going to synergize with the build very well overall.

And if you want to get this mask, you can venture into Mohgwyn Palace and you’ll fight 3 Assassins there and the third Assassin will drop this for you.

    Stats

The very last thing I’m going to show you here is my build stats.

I’m currently at level 169. Although most of those extra stats are only into Vigor, everything else can be attained exactly at 150.

So, I would do 50 Vigor, 15 Mind, 23 Endurance, 12 Strength, 30 Dexterity, 9 Intelligence, 25 Faith (if you have extra stats), and 80 Arcane. Then, your Reduvia will hit as hard as possible, getting those massive chunks of hemorrhage off on your enemy.

If you do have the extra Faith, obviously using Flame, Grant Me Strength and Golden Vow is going to give you more damage overall, so I highly recommend those as well.
