  But if you want to farm enough gold, it would be bad if you only know how to farm gold itself. I mean, you have to know that completing tasks, opening Whisper Caches, and killing bosses and monster groups can indeed bring you some benefits, but in the end it is very limited.

  So how can we improve the efficiency of farming Diablo 4 gold? In fact, you can farm some high-value items, especially Uniques and Mythic Uniques, and then sell them in exchange for gold, which is much more cost-effective than simply farming gold. After all, there is too much demand for these Unique items, and you can easily sell them at a high price!

  Next, here we go, let’s talk about what I think is the best way to earn gold in Diablo 4 Season 8 at the moment.

  

  Farm Runes And Sell Them

  As I mentioned before, we won’t be farming gold directly, but something else, and that’s Runes. These Runes are slottable items that can be used both to enhance equipment and as a currency to craft specific Mythic Unique items.

  So what we have to do is farm Runes and then sell them on external sites for money, so that we can accumulate a large number of D4 gold coins. In order to do this, we need to get a lot of Rare or Magic runes.

  

  Use Tribute To Increase Rune Drop Rate

  In order to increase the chance of getting runes, we need to collect Tribute of Harmony. Tribute is a valuable resource in Diablo 4 that not only unlocks powerful Legendary Aspects for equipment, but also improves the rewards of dungeons, making our returns more lucrative. We can sacrifice Tribute to Undercity Spirit Brazier to have the final boss of the dungeon drop runes for us. So if you have a lot of Tribute of Harmony, you can use them in Kurast Undercity to get a lot of Rare or Magic runes.

  By the way, while there is currently no foolproof way to farm Tribute, here are some effective strategies to increase the chance of Tribute drops:

  • Defeat Torment Boss: After defeating these bosses, you can not only get Tributes, but also get key materials to unlock other boss drop chests, Lair Boss Keys, forming a virtuous circle.
  • Challenge Nightmare Dungeons and Infernal Hordes: These activities not only get Tributes, but also provide other valuable rewards, such as Masterworking Materials.
  • Explore the Sanctuary: Although the drop of Tributes brought by this is completely random, increasing your game time and exploring different areas can increase your chances of finding it.

  

  Defeat Lair Boss

  Back to the topic, in addition to farming Kurast Undercity, Lair Boss will also drop a lot of Rare or Magic quality runes, and they are guaranteed to drop. It shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes to defeat a boss, and once you’ve learned all of their moves, beating them becomes very easy.

  

  Completing Apparition Incursions

  Apparition Incursions are the seasonal boss challenge events added in Season 8, introducing new bosses and boss powers. And Incursions are similar to Legion events, they greatly increase the density of monsters in a specific area and rotate continuously, so here you can not only get runes, but also earn a lot of money by killing monsters.

  Transmutation Runes

  Now here comes the trick. When you have accumulated a lot of Rare or Magic quality runes, you can go to the Alchemist and transmute them. Transmutation is very useful because by transmuting three identical Rare runes, there is an 85% chance of creating a new Rare rune, but the most important thing is that this process has a 15% chance of giving you a random Legendary rune. This is what we want.

  Thus, you can use up all your Rare runes and transmute them. If you repeat this process enough times, you will get a lot of Legendary runes. Don’t underestimate this 15% conversion rate, little by little it adds up to a lot!

  Similarly, you can transmute your Magic runes. This conversion has a 15% chance of giving you a Rare rune. So hopefully after all these conversions, you’ve managed to find some Legendary runes.

  

  Price And Sell Them

  If you’re really lucky, you might find some runes worth hundreds of millions of gold. Now you just need to sell them.

  You can sell your runes by advertising them in some chat rooms. But we recommend that you don’t just sell them randomly, it will only waste your efforts. You can check the approximate price of your runes before selling them, so that you can sell them as soon as possible without losing too much money. Of course, if you want to sell the runes immediately, you can lower the price slightly, I’m sure many players who need them will contact you!

  

  So far, I’ve sold my own runes this way and made hundreds of millions of gold. Of course, you can also make more gold by selling other Greater Affix items, it’s up to you. But if you just want to have fun, I recommend not doing this, because they tend to be very important in the late game. If you may need to spend more money to exchange them later, it is obviously not worth it.

  For these reasons, I think runes are the most expensive and easiest to sell consumables in Diablo 4, and you can earn endless gold by constantly farming runes and selling them.
