Diablo 4 Season 15 PTR 3.2.0 Legacy Unique Upgrade Lets You Turn Old Gear into Mythic Powerhouses | Which Ones are Worth it?

Category: Diablo 4 Posted: Aug 07, 2026 Views: 29

Diablo 4 Season 15 PTR 3.2.0 introduces a revolutionary Legacy Uniques conversion system. Classic unique gear that once gathered dust in the corner of your inventory can now be directly upgraded to Mythic quality, retaining all its original base affixes and gaining additional legendary powers that completely transform each item.

Furthermore, upgraded Mythic items can still be freely enchanted, meaning you can tailor each piece of gear entirely to your playstyle.

Among the many convertible Legacy Uniques, we've highlighted the most outstanding ones - their strength may even directly define the build direction for Season 15.

Diablo 4 Season 15 PTR 3.2.0 Legacy Unique Upgrade Lets You Turn Old Gear into Mythic Powerhouses | Which Ones are Worth it?

Key Legacy Uniques

Leoric's Crown

Upgrading this helmet to Mythic quality provides an astonishing Damage Reduction stacking.

If you use Leoric's Crown, socket some gems, and utilize its aspects, your character can potentially achieve approximately 92% overall Damage Reduction.

Meanwhile, Leoric's Crown's core effect is to significantly increase the power of socketed gems. In Season 15 PTR, when it synergizes with the special gem Splinter of the Black Soulstone, it provides a kill-based damage boost - 11.5 times the damage for each enemy defeated, and this effect stacks and lasts for a period of time.

The overall strength of this combination far exceeds our expectations, so it is likely to become a common choice for most builds in Diablo 4 Season 15.

Furthermore, if this kill-based damage boost can accumulate quickly in high-level The Pit, our characters will have a stable and continuous output guarantee - all of which makes Leoric's Crown particularly suitable for pushing high-level areas with dense monsters.

However, it should be noted that this is the only item that cannot be enchanted for the time being; this bug may be fixed later.

Stone of Jordan

Upgrading Stone of Jordan to Mythic quality unifies all elemental resistances to their current maximum value and provides an additional damage bonus.

Stone of Jordan's original damage boost remains effective after the upgrade and can be further enchanted, making it an efficient piece of equipment for balancing defense and offense.

Another noteworthy point is that this item not only integrates resistances, but its base damage increase also increases with quality. Therefore, we can predict that Stone of Jordan will probably become a core component of all-elemental resistance builds in Season 15.

Because it can be freely enchanted with affixes such as critical strike chance or critical strike damage, Stone of Jordan offers far greater flexibility in affixes than ordinary rings, making it suitable for almost all class damage builds.

The Furnace

Mythic version of The Furnace deals additional damage to elite monsters, with the multiplier increased to 3.6x, making it the top choice for increasing damage when tackling high-level The Pit.

Furthermore, its damage increase against elite monsters can stack multiplicatively with similar affixes such as armor and skills, resulting in powerful bursts of damage in boss fights.

However, it should be noted that in the current PTR 3.2.0, there is a bug where upgraded aspect values only retain the lowest tier. It is expected that this will be fixed after the official release of Diablo 4 Season 15.

Arioc's Needle

Arioc's Needle introduces a brand-new Deadly Strike mechanic to the game, dealing additional damage upon triggering. Mythic version boasts a 65% trigger chance, providing a fresh option for physical damage builds.

Furthermore, the physical damage bonus from Arioc's Needle may synergize with critical strike mechanics like Shattered Vow, a topic worthy of in-depth exploration in Season 15, potentially leading to entirely new playstyles.

Squirt's Blouse

Transformed into Mythic Chest Armor, Squirt's Blouse provides a 65% independent damage increase, at the cost of resetting the damage stacks when the character takes damage.

However, if Immortal Barbarian isn't nerfed in Season 15, this negative effect can be mitigated when combined with builds that achieve near-invincibility through Melted Heart of Selig, resulting in an almost unconditional massive damage boost.

Other Legacy Uniques

Nemesis Bracers

Upgrading Nemesis Bracers from Diablo 4 Season 15 PTR 3.2.0 to Mythic quality only retains the effect of summoning elite monsters; there's no significant damage or defense boost, resulting in limited changes to its strength.

However, it can shorten the progress bar acquisition time when quickly summoning elite monsters, so it still has value when farming lower levels of The Pit. However, under high pressure, it's still recommended to prioritize other damage-boosting gear.

Ramaladni's Magnum Opus

One change that sparked considerable debate among players is that Ramaladni's Magnum Opus's Fury consumption mechanism has been adjusted to consume 10% of Maximum Fury per second. This means the higher Fury stack, the more Fury is lost per second.

Many players have reported that this new mechanism makes Barbarian class more frustrating to play.

However, before Season 15 officially launches, the practicality of Ramaladni's Magnum Opus still needs extensive practical testing to be verified.

Mythic Charms

In addition to Legacy Uniques conversion system mentioned above, Season 15 PTR also introduces Mythic charm slots.

Mythic items such as The Grandfather, Shattered Vow, and Melted Heart of Selig, which previously occupied weapon or amulet slots, can now be placed in charm slots, and their core effects are fully retained.

This change allows you to equip multiple conflicting Mythic items simultaneously in the new season, giving you more freedom in combining your Diablo 4 items.

Diablo 4 Season 15 PTR 3.2.0 showcases the immense potential of combining Legacy Uniques and Mythic systems, but the future diversity of builds awaits players to discover!
