Diablo 4 Season 11 Whirlwind Paladin Build | Crafting Guide based on the Skills and Gear

Category: Diablo 4 Posted: Jan 04, 2026 Views: 1822

Although the development team mentioned during their 2026 Roadmap presentation that they might announce the second new class from the second expansion sometime around February, it will still be several months before we can actually play it.

Therefore, the most popular Diablo 4 class right now is still Paladin, which was available starting in Season 11. Based on the new gear added for this class, there are now more and more available Paladin builds.

This time, we will introduce Whirlwind Paladin Build, crafted around the unique item Red Sermon. Let's take a look at the specific crafting method and actual combat effects of this build.

Diablo 4 Season 11 Whirlwind Paladin Build | Crafting Guide based on the Skills and Gear

Skill Selection

First, unlock Arbiter of Justice. This skill will instantly lift you into the sky and enter Arbiter form, then descend onto the battlefield for 20 seconds, dealing 600% damage upon landing.

When the skill is active, you will see a small blue orb next to your mana bar, indicating the duration of your Arbiter form. To maintain this form 100% of the time, you need to use rune combinations throughout.

Then, when the duration is very low or about to end, simply activate Arbiter of Justice again. You can also use other skills, such as Blessed Hammer, which makes the operation smoother, so you don't need to transform every few seconds.

The next essential skill is Brandish. It releases an arc of light, dealing 75% damage to enemies. Activating it also resets your dodge, granting you a whirlwind effect behind you.

Zeal is the key skill in this build, as it is closely related to the core gear Red Sermon - this gear significantly increases Zeal's damage output. The skill itself deals 80% damage to enemies immediately, followed by 3 additional attacks, each dealing 20% damage.

After enhancing Zeal, you can continue to upgrade it. There are 3 upgrade options, and the most suitable for this build are Death or Glory & Cull the Wicked. The former increases damage and critical hit chance, while the latter increases the attack range.

Another skill that needs to be unlocked is Rally. If you choose Death or Glory as your Zeal upgrade, then whether you take damage or lose health, Rally will be triggered, granting you a 40% critical damage bonus.

In short, the skill rotation for this build involves continuously using Arbiter of Justice until its cooldown is complete, then activating it every 30 seconds. After that, you'll be spamming Brandish and dodge skills.

If you're facing a boss, you can activate Rally earlier, but don't use it frequently, as it consumes your health, especially if you've unlocked the passive that increases movement speed by consuming health.

Gear Selection

The essential gear for this build is Red Sermon. It allows Zeal skill to deal 120-180% extra damage and directly unlocks Death or Glory upgrade, allowing you to complete the build's skill crafting faster.

If you have Mythics, Heir of Perdition and Shroud of False Death are excellent choices, but Ring of Starless Skies should be avoided, as this build requires Argent Veil, and stacking the two will trigger a random core skill.

This will make the entire build feel clunky and result in a significant loss of DPS unless you have other ways to consume resources.

If you can't obtain Heir of Perdition and Shroud of False Death combination, another Mythic helm, Harlequin Crest, or Apostle's Aspect are suitable alternatives.

Apostle's Aspect increases your healing received based on your Zeal stacks, including the life-on-hit from Red Sermon, making your healing very effective.

If you want to reduce farming difficulty and use a non-Mythic gear set, we recommend adding Revelator's Aspect to your gloves first. This further increases your skill damage, helping you deal with some bosses more easily.

More importantly, Revelator's Aspect is more stable and doesn't require stacking critical hit chance in many places, unlike Harlequin Crest.

For pants, we recommend Aspect of the Indomitable, which provides extra armor and debuff resistance based on your block chance, allowing you to reach 100% block chance even without a shield.

For boots, be sure to add Aspect of the Arbiter's Zephyr, which reduces the cooldown of Arbiter's evade.

Aspect of the Zealot's Covenant increases the damage of the extra attacks from Zealot Oath, one of Paladin class specializations, by 100.0-120.0. Additionally, it increases maximum Fervor by 1 point and extends its duration by 2 seconds.

It's important to note that compared to many other Paladin builds, Whirlwind Paladin Build is relatively fragile due to the lack of a shield.

Therefore, in your other gear choices, you need to prioritize increasing your health as much as possible, or obtaining better health-related affixes on your gear through Tempering, Masterworking, or Sanctification.

Summary

Whirlwind Paladin Build is very powerful, excelling in both speed and damage output. Its only drawback is its relatively low survivability. If this is a concern, you can sacrifice some damage to make it more durable.

But honestly, Whirlwind Paladin Build's damage allows you to instantly kill most bosses in various dungeons in Season 11, and even easily clear The Pit at level 100+, making it truly worth trying!

If you want to enhance the defensive capabilities or survivability of your Whirlwind Paladin Build without sacrificing its damage output, you'll need to upgrade your gear or its relevant affixes.

You can reset the upgrades if you're not satisfied with the results, but this will consume gold. Therefore, to save time, we recommend getting Diablo 4 gold for sale on IGGM! Consume enough gold at once to get the upgrade effects you want most!
