Diablo 4 Season 10 Obducite Farming Bug: How To Exploit Horadric Strongrooms For 2,000 Drops?

Although Diablo 4 Season 10 has only just begun, some proactive players have already begun crafting their endgame gear. You'll need Ancestral Unique items, Mythic items, and Obducites.
Farming these items is obviously quite time-consuming, but a bug that first appeared in Season 9 allows you to quickly farm Diablo 4 Obducites, at a rate of around 2,000 at a time. This bug won't be fixed anytime soon (after all, it's been delayed from Season 9 to Season 10), so you might want to take advantage of it while you can.
The Function Of Obducites
Let's briefly explain the function of Obducites. Obducites are used to Masterwork your Unique and Mythic Unique items, upgrading them from Rank 1 to Rank 4 to achieve the ideal stats.
The fastest way to farm Obducites in Season 9 is to use Horadric Strongrooms and Infernal Hordes, but normal farming methods are quite time-consuming.
Horadric Strongrooms
Horadric Strongrooms are a new mechanic added in Season 9. They're limited-time mini-dungeons where you fill a progress bar by killing enemies. When the timer expires or the progress bar is full, a boss will appear. Defeating the boss will drop loot and a treasure chest. The more the progress bar fills, the better the rewards.
Rewards (on Torment difficulty and above):
- Unique Item
- Obducite
- Gold
- Mythic Items (not very common, but higher than normal)
In addition, after leaving a Horadric Strongroom, you'll receive a random buff, valid only for the current dungeon:
- Experience: Killing monsters earns more XP.
- Reputation: Killing monsters earns more Reputation.
- Obducite: Killing monsters earns more Obducites.
- Gold: Killing monsters earns more Diablo 4 gold.
Horadric Strongrooms won't appear in every Nightmare Dungeon, but you can increase your chances by:
- Play at a higher world level. Horadric Strongrooms are more likely to appear in Torment Mode.
- Use Nightmare Sigils with affixes that guarantee a Horadric Strongroom in the dungeon.
- A purple glowing line will guide you to Strongrooms in the dungeon, and don't miss it.
How Does The Bug Work?
You just need to simply activate any Nightmare Dungeon Sigil, regardless of affix (Strongrooms preferred). You don't need to actually complete the demon dungeon, but rather teleport to the various Lair Boss pre-dungeons.
If you have some weaker Nightmare Dungeon Sigils, use them at this opportunity, but be sure not to complete Nightmare Dungeon, or you won't be able to exploit this glitch.
When you activate a Nightmare Dungeon Sigil, Strongroom entrances can appear in small entrance areas where they normally wouldn't. This effectively adds potential spawn points to all pre-boss dungeons.
There's a chance that a Strongroom entrance will spawn on the minimap before you enter a boss room. If one appears, complete it immediately. If you're lucky, you might even find multiple Strongrooms before Lair Bosses, which makes it more efficient if you use a team approach.
Remember that this is random; you might not receive a Strongroom on every floor. You don't need to defeat any Lair Bosses to receive a Strongroom. Simply enter their dungeon and search for Strongroom. If none appears, teleport directly to the next pre-boss dungeon.
This method greatly increases the number of Horadric Strongrooms you can encounter per unit of time, compared to running full Nightmare Dungeons or farming Undercity and Infernal Hordes.
After you defeat and claim Horadric Strongrooms, don't complete or clear the original Nightmare dungeon. Instead, continue teleporting to other boss locations. Because Sigil is still active, these smaller dungeons will continue to have a chance to spawn Strong Rooms. These smaller dungeons spawn very quickly, so there's no need to log off to reset them; simply teleport in a loop.
Furthermore, the enemy difficulty in Horadric Strongrooms is similar to that of a regular Nightmare dungeon—not too difficult, allowing you to quickly clear them. If your build can instantly defeat them, your efficiency will be very high.
How To Increase Efficiency?
This method of obtaining Obducites is much faster than regular farming. Besides the main target Obducites, you'll also receive Greater Affix gear, unique items, and Nightmare Dungeon Sigil.
For maximum efficiency, it's best to play on Torment IV difficulty, which will yield approximately 2,000 Obducites per run(efficiency will vary depending on your build).
To further improve efficiency, adjust your character build to prioritize movement speed for faster clearing and traversing within Horadric Strongrooms.
The above is how to quickly farm using this exploit. While the primary target is Obducites, you can also earn a wealth of perks like unique gear, XP, and Diablo 4 gold. This makes it the best farming method until the exploit is fixed.
Farming both Obducites and Mythic items is a long and arduous process, feeling like Sisyphus pushing a rock up a hill before you see any real rewards.
For players with less time, acquiring these materials and top-tier gear is even more challenging.
