ARC Raiders Best Kept Secret? Why Uncommon Assault Rifle Arpeggio is Dominating Headwinds Update Meta?

Category: ARC Raiders Posted: Feb 04, 2026 Views: 1039

While January ARC Raiders Headwinds update added two new augments to the item system, it didn't make any changes to weapons. This led players to test the effectiveness of some less common guns under the new map conditions.

Therefore, Arpeggio, a weapon with only Uncommon rarity level, has recently gained more recognition. Although its strength isn't top-tier, its relatively low acquisition difficulty makes it a good value.

Based on this, we'll introduce this weapon and provide how to obtain it so you can acquire it immediately once you've decided to.

ARC Raiders Best Kept Secret? Why Uncommon Assault Rifle Arpeggio is Dominating Headwinds Update Meta?

Arpeggio basic information

Arpeggio is an assault rifle in ARC Raiders, using medium ammo. Its overall performance is well-balanced, generally performing better at mid-range, and it's effective against both regular players and ARC enemies.

As for its drawbacks, the main issue is its low rate of fire, but this can be improved by upgrading it in the workshop. Here are some basic stats for this weapon:

  • Magazine Size: 24
  • Firing Mode: 3-Round Burst
  • ARC Armor Penetration: Moderate
  • Damage: 9.5
  • Fire Rate: 18.3
  • Headshot Multiplier: 2.0x
  • Range: 55.9
  • Stability: 84
  • Agility: 57.3
  • Stealth: 14

How to obtain this weapon?

Arpeggio can be obtained through scavenging and crafting. While its rarity means you have a decent chance of finding it during raids by looting containers or rooms, crafting is faster because you don't even need to find the blueprint.

However, you'll need to collect six Mechanical Components and six Simple Gun Parts, and upgrade your workshop to Gunsmith 2. These items, along with the materials needed to upgrade your workshop, can be obtained through scavenging or killing ARC enemies.

Upgrade Arpeggio to Tier IV

Most guns in the game have four tiers, and Arpeggio is no exception. While not all weapons are suitable for being upgraded to the highest level, Arpeggio is undoubtedly best at max level.

First, Tier IV increases the rate of fire by 60%, meaning you can fire the gun's three-round burst more quickly, resulting in a faster Time-to-Kill (TTK). While TTK isn't as crucial against ARC enemies, a shorter TTK is always better when engaging other players.

The other Tier IV bonus is a 50% reduction in reload time. These two bonuses are a very powerful combination for a weapon with only Uncommon rarity, meaning you can stay in combat longer and deal more damage more quickly.

Of course, if you're short on coins or materials, Tier III is barely adequate, but if you feel Arpeggio matches your combat style and plan to use it long term, be sure to diligently collect materials to complete the final upgrade. The required materials are as follows:

Arpeggio II:

  • 1x Arpeggio I
  • 4x Mechanical Components
  • 1x Simple Gun Parts
  • At Gunsmith 1

Arpeggio III:

  • 1x Arpeggio II
  • 5x Mechanical Components
  • 1x Medium Gun Parts
  • At Gunsmith 1

Arpeggio IV:

  • 1x Arpeggio III
  • 5x Mechanical Components
  • 1x Medium Gun Parts
  • At Gunsmith 1

How to add mods to improve performance?

No matter how good the base stats of an ARC Raiders weapon are, it should be fitted with suitable mods, such as reducing recoil or bullet spread, to unleash even more amazing power.

Arpeggio itself has recoil, and its bullet spread will cause bullets to spread upwards and laterally. Therefore, this weapon definitely needs some improvement, such as enhancing bullet trajectory control for greater accuracy.

Arpeggio boasts four mod slots, including muzzle, under-barrel, magazine, and stock mods, offering exceptional customization. This is one of the main reasons for its popularity.

To this end, you can start by adding Compensator II to Arpeggio. It reduces single-shot dispersion by 40% and maximum dispersion by 20%. This ensures that even at high speeds, the weapon's recoil distribution and dispersion remain very concentrated.

As for the under-barrel, we recommend Vertical Grip III, which significantly reduces vertical recoil and ADS Speed by 30%. When you start controlling recoil, muzzle sway is noticeably reduced, allowing for more accurate shots.

Regarding magazine modifications, Arpeggio's default magazine capacity is 24 rounds, meaning you can fire 8 bursts before fully reloading. However, a larger magazine capacity allows you to last longer in combat.

For this reason, we recommend Extended Medium Mag III, which adds 12 rounds, allowing for more burst fire and significantly increasing the weapon's overall firepower.

The last mod we recommend is Padded Stock; its numerous effects speak for themselves:

  • 15% Reduced Vertical Recoil
  • 15% Reduced Horizontal Recoil
  • 20% Reduced Per-Shot Dispersion
  • 20% Increased Equip Time
  • 20% Increased Un-equip Time
  • 30% Reduced ADS Speed

Is Arpeggio worth having?

In general, this weapon only provides significant benefits when fully upgraded and equipped with the right mods. The tricky part is that these additional conditions are harder to meet than Arpeggio itself.

Therefore, some people have always felt it's not worth investing too much in Arpeggio. But honestly, it's a great starting weapon for beginners, and as you improve, you'll acquire the resources to upgrade it.

You might think it's better to switch to a higher-level weapon after leveling up your character, but if you're already familiar with Arpeggio, why not let this old friend continue to accompany you in a stronger form? Besides, high-rarity weapons aren't necessarily the best.

That concludes our introduction. If this guide has piqued your interest in Arpeggio, give it a try!

While crafting Arpeggio doesn't require a blueprint, most of the compatible mods we recommend require you to acquire the corresponding blueprints separately.

Therefore, the fastest way to enhance your Arpeggio is to immediately buy ARC Raiders blueprints at IGGM! This way, you'll get all the mods at once and can immediately put your Arpeggio to the test!
