Forget the 5M Grind! ARC Raiders Second Expedition Changes Everything | Lower Requirements & New Skill Point Catch-Up

Category: ARC Raiders Posted: Feb 06, 2026 Views: 2103

Hi Raiders, the official team has just released a new announcement responding to player feedback from the first Expedition and announcing a series of adjustments and specific rewards for the second Expedition. Let's break it down in detail from beginning to end.

Expedition features a self-reset mechanism that resets all your items and gives you permanent rewards and temporary buffs that last until the next Expedition. Players can register starting February 25th, and Expedition will officially begin on March 1st.

Forget the 5M Grind! ARC Raiders Second Expedition Changes Everything | Lower Requirements & New Skill Point Catch-Up

Core Mechanism Adjustments

Before detailing Expedition, the development team has made key adjustments based on player feedback, directly impacting participation and achievability.

First, addressing the widespread player feedback that Stash Value required to reach the highest reward was too high, the team has decided to significantly reduce the requirement from 5 million coins to 3 million coins. The reward for reaching 3 million Stash Value remains 5 Skill Points, equivalent to 1 Skill Point for every 600,000 ARC Raiders coins.

As many players have mentioned in their feedback, the original expedition plan was too time-consuming and lacked attractive rewards. This change significantly reduces the difficulty of Expeditions, allowing more players to obtain the highest rewards without making them too easy.

Furthermore, the team has gone a step further, introducing a skill point catch-up system for players who didn't accumulate enough coins in their first expedition. This system allows players to claim missed skill points at a discount, thus narrowing the gap with those who went ahead.

The specific rules are as follows:

  • For this (second) expedition, you need to accumulate the 3 million coins required for this expedition (to obtain the 5 skill points).
  • After that, for each skill point you miss in the first expedition, you need to accumulate an additional 300,000 coins.
  • This means that if you didn't gain any skill points in your first expedition, after completing this expedition's objectives, you only need to accumulate a maximum of 1.5 million more coins to obtain all 5 skill points.

Note that players who did not participate in the first expedition will not be able to enjoy the catch-up mechanic. Only players who participated in the first expedition and did not obtain 5 skill points can enjoy this mechanic. However, new players don't need to worry about falling behind, and as long as you continue to participate in expeditions, you will eventually catch up with the top players.

The development team emphasizes that future rewards and requirements may change, and these extra skill point opportunities will not exist indefinitely. Overall, this adjustment does not change the basic content of Expedition system, but rather makes it easier for players with limited time who cannot complete all the requirements of the first expedition to participate.

Expedition Rewards

Next is the issue that players are most concerned about: the rewards of Expedition mechanic. Players who participate in an expedition for the first time will receive the rewards for the first expedition. For players who choose to embark on another expedition, they will receive more Stash Base space and skill points, which will be permanently retained even if they choose not to participate in subsequent expeditions.

The Patchwork Outfit will add four extra toggles and two new colors for players participating in a second expedition. Scrappy will also get new cosmetics.

For players who choose to participate in consecutive expeditions, temporary buffs will stack, and however, for players who decide not to participate again, these temporary buffs will be reset. Specifically, buffs such as increased Scrappy resource acquisition and improved repair efficiency provided by the first expedition will disappear if you do not participate in a second expedition. If you choose to participate in a second expedition, these buffs will stack together.

The official rewards are as follows:

Permanent

Cosmetics:

  • The Patchwork Outfit (evolved)
  • Scrappy cosmetics
  • Expedition Indicator icon

Bonuses:

  • 12→24 Stash spaces
  • +0-5 Skill Points

Consecutive Buffs

  • 5%→10% XP boost
  • 6%→12% Scrappy materials boost
  • 60%→70% Repair value increase

Permanent Content Unaffected by Expeditions

It's worth noting that many progress and collectibles will be completely unaffected by Expedition resets, including:

  • Trophy Display Project and all acquired Cosmetics
  • Raider Deck progress
  • Unlocked Map Regions
  • Leaderboard position and Trials progress
  • Codex
  • Raider Tokens

If your Trophy Display Project is nearing completion, and perhaps it could be completed after Expedition begins to maximize benefits.

Should You Participate in Second Expedition?

For players who participated in the first expedition, the answer is clear: continue participating. Continuous participation allows the buffs to stack permanently, creating a character with extremely strong stats in the long run.

New players who missed the first expedition can choose to join later in the game. However, if you've just joined or are at a low level, there's no need to force yourself to participate, as this is an endgame system, and forcing participation will deprive you of much of the enjoyment.

Expedition system is expected to evolve over time. The development team will continuously adjust it based on player participation data, with the fundamental goal of making Expedition system more meaningful and attracting more players.
