ARC Raiders Patch 1.13.0 Brings New Modes and Systems | But Are Blueprint Nerfs A Step Back?

Category: ARC Raiders Posted: Jan 28, 2026 Views: 2197

Greetings, Raiders! ARC Raiders released Patch 1.13.0 immediately after teasing Headwinds, providing a more detailed explanation of the previously teased content.

However, the teaser wasn't all there was to the update. In addition, there are numerous balance adjustments and two new Epic Augments. Some astute players may have already noticed the subtle differences, and let's take a look at the main changes.

ARC Raiders Patch 1.13.0 Brings New Modes and Systems | But Are Blueprint Nerfs A Step Back?

Main New Features

Solo vs Squads

This new 1v3 mode is frankly a bit confusing. Although players need to reach level 40 to select this mode, most players won't intentionally put themselves at a disadvantage.

Furthermore, the reward is merely extra experience, which has limited appeal for players already above level 40. Offering unique loot or better rewards would likely be more popular.

Predictably, many players will bring their basic kits to this mode, trying to gain extra experience before being surrounded by a full squad. Additionally, as other players have speculated, this mode may primarily be designed to involve streamers and enhance the entertainment value of ARC Raiders livestreams.

It's worth noting that there's no pop-up notification for this mode, and you need to manually enable it in the matchmaking options. The development team's experimentation with new matchmaking methods is commendable, but hopefully, other gameplay modes will be added in the future.

Trophy Display

Trophy Display is a pretty good new system. Similar to Project Candleberry, you need to hunt a large number of ARCs and submit various creature parts to unlock and upgrade your loot display. As the display's appearance changes, you'll receive numerous rewards, including new emotes and up to 300,000 ARC Raiders coins. This is content worth investing in long-term.

Bird City Permanent Map Event

A small permanent event has been added to Buried City map: Bird City. Numerous bird nests will appear across the map, providing additional “trinkets,” undoubtedly a new way to farm money. Simultaneously, more birdcage traps and zip lines will be added to the map.

More importantly, this event will rotate weekly, during which more flying Ark creatures will appear near the bird nests. More map events following this pattern may be added in the future.

New Epic Augments

This update adds two new types of epic augmentations, which are very important new items.

Looting Mk. 3 (Safekeeper)

Its highlight is providing a safe pocket that can store any item, including firearms. This is extremely useful when tackling difficult targets like Matriarch or Queen. You can put weapons like Equalizer or Jupiter in the safe pocket, allowing you to engage in combat with more confidence without worrying about being ambushed and stolen by raid players. Of course, its advantages are less pronounced in PvE-heavy matches.

This component also offers two accessory slots and a medium shield, but only four utility item slots, which is quite limiting. While its weight is acceptable and its safe pockets are powerful, it may not completely replace the classic Looting Mk. 3 (Survivor) as the game's Augment.

Tactical Mk. 3 (Revival)

It can be seen as an enhanced version of Combat Mk. 2. Its effect is the same: restoring one health point every 5 seconds and having a built-in Integrated Defibrillator, allowing you to revive teammates without needing to carry it specifically.

It only has 16 inventory slots. Although it has two safe pockets, they can only equip light shields. If you're a solo player, it looks awkward from every angle. Its only use might be as a medic for teammates in a group, and in other situations, it's probably inferior to rare Augments.

Both new components can be obtained through blueprint drops. The total number of blueprints in the game has increased, and specific acquisition methods will be announced later.

New Missions

Seven new missions have been added, exceeding the number added in Stella Montis update.

Other Updates and Optimizations

Map Quality of Life Adjustments

  • Since the limited-time event for obtaining guitars has ended, you can now trade guitars directly from Shani.
  • Teams can now be set to public, allowing players to join directly, and teams can also invite players.
  • Items related to the musical puzzle in Buried City can now also be traded from Shani.
  • In Spaceport map, the spawn locations of Ark creatures during Hidden Bunker event have been adjusted to avoid spawning directly on antennas.
  • Most lights on Night Raid map have been turned off, making the environment darker.
  • The wall-clipping glitch in Bastion has been fixed.
  • First-time cheaters will face a 30-day ban, a second offense a 60-day ban, and repeat offenders will be permanently banned.

ARC Adjustments

  • Leaper: Improved movement ability after legs are damaged.
  • Shredder: Shredders will now be marked as scavengeable after being killed.
  • Snitches: No longer make a sound after being destroyed.
  • Tick: After attaching to a player, there is now a brief reaction window that can be immediately removed by rolling.

Loot and Blueprint Adjustments

In certain map states such as Electroionic Storm, Hidden Bunker, and Locked Gate, the types of containers that can spawn ARC Raiders blueprints have been reduced, making it harder to obtain blueprints like Vulcano or Bobcat.

The value of weapon cases has been increased, resulting in a higher drop rate for higher quality weapons and weapon cases.

The chance of obtaining Reactor from armor stripping from Matriarchs and Queens has been slightly reduced. Therefore, if you want to craft Legendary weapons, the most reliable method is to completely kill them.

Overall, version 1.13 is a content-rich mini-update. It includes many positive improvements, but the changes to blueprint and boss loot drop rates are somewhat puzzling. According to the roadmap, there are more updates to look forward to next month.
