ARC Raiders Familiar Duck Collecting Guide | From Casual Hunting to a Dangerous Infinite Duplication Bug
Category: ARC Raiders Posted: Feb 09, 2026 Views: 3931
After the snow melted, Headwinds update brought warmth back to Buried City. Birds, following the warmth, returned to Rust Belt, and now the chimneys of Buried City are overrun with them.
Along with the hordes of birds are rubber ducks, which the birds have hidden in the chimneys as treasure. And indeed they are treasures. and Familiar Ducks are not only valuable but also serve as loot in Raider Den. So how do you find these items?

Bird City
With Headwinds update, a new Bird City map enhancement event was added to Buried City map. Accompanying this event are many new collectible rubber ducks.
These ducks are not only collectibles but also fun in-game items. and when you throw them, they squeak, creating a slight noise effect.
You can also display all the collected ducks in your Raider Den. The display limit has now been removed, eliminating the previous cap of nine ducks. Players are now completely obsessed with collecting them. One player has even hunted thousands of ducks since the display limit was lifted!
Here's a list of all the currently known collectible rubber ducks, listed from most common to rarest:
- Ruber Duck (Common): 1,000 Coins
- Tropical Duck (Uncommon): 1,000 Coins
- Gentle Duck (Uncommon): 1,000 Coins
- Alien Duck (Uncommon): 1,000 Coins
- Doodly Duck (Rare): 3,000 Coins
- Flashy Duck (Rare): 3,000 Coins
- Familiar Duck (Epic): 7,000 Coins
How to Get Those Ducks?
Currently, these ducks can only be found during the Bird City event on Buried City map. When this event is activated, you'll find many new ziplines throughout the town. Even more striking is that almost every rooftop is perched with birds, and almost every chimney contains a nest.
Some chimneys have tricky entrance angles. and you'll need to find the right angle to see the interaction button. However, the rewards inside the chimneys are definitely worth the effort. Searching these nests might yield various items:
- Trinkets
- Epic Items
- Seeds, Fruits, Mushrooms
- Basic Materials
However, none of these are your main focus. and your real target is the rubber ducks. In actual gameplay, you'll need to traverse Buired City. Carefully inspect each chimney on the rooftops of the buildings.
While searching, keep your eyes on those tips
- Not only large chimneys, but some smaller chimneys may also hide bird nests.
- If you don't see any interactive cues, move around the chimney openings and adjust your view.
- Due to the low activity level, competition may be less intense, and unsearched areas often yield surprises.
- While the search is fun, remain vigilant about your surroundings and be aware of threats from other players or Rocketeers.
If you want to search for a longer period, use a hatch key. and it allows for a safer and faster evacuation, much safer than using the elevator.
Familiar Duck Exploit
If you're not content with being a rubber duck hunter in Buried City, there's an exploit that allows you to obtain Familiar Ducks more efficiently. This is an unethical exploit, and it's likely to be quickly fixed by the developers, so its effectiveness may be limited to the current version.
Required Preparations
To begin this duplication process, you only need two identical items in your inventory: ARC Raiders Familiar Duck (other ducks will also work, but Familiar Ducks are the most valuable one). You can try finding them in matches or trading with other players. and either way, just make sure you have at least two.
Specific Steps
Please follow these steps. and the whole process is very simple and quick:
- Find a suitable location and hold Familiar Duck.
- Find a corner in the game so that when you throw Familiar Ducks, they won't scatter everywhere.
- From your Quick Use bar, hold Familiar Duck in your hand.
- Open your inventory. Make sure both Familiar Duck are placed in Quick Use bar, preferably adjacent to each other.
- Right-click the first Familiar Duck in Quick Use bar and select Split Stack option from the menu to split it into a separate stack.
- Drag the split Familiar Duck (which now occupies a new inventory slot) onto the second Familiar Duck in Quick Use bar to stack them.
- Next, right-click Familiar Duck you just stacked and select Split Stack again. Stack one item.
- Then close the inventory interface. If done correctly, you'll find you can still continuously throw Familiar Duck and their quantity doesn't seem to decrease.
- After repeatedly throwing, you can pick up newly spawned items, thus achieving infinite item duplication.
This glitch is extremely efficient. Starting with only two Familiar Ducks, you can quickly accumulate piles of items, filling multiple inventory stacks, within one to two minutes by repeatedly performing the above operation and picking them up. For players hoping to profit from selling game items, this can bring considerable in-game gains in a very short time.
It must be emphasized again that this is a clear game glitch and is expected to be fixed by the official team soon. Therefore, if you want to try it, please act immediately. Also, when using this glitch, please be aware of the game's end-user agreement and recognize the potential risks involved.
That's all the information about the rubber ducks. If you want to quickly meet the requirements for the second expedition, then Familiar Ducks vulnerability can help you collect enough coins, but the official penalties for cheaters are always severe, so it's best not to exploit this vulnerability to avoid being banned.
