Dune Awakening The Jackal & Track Down Skorda: How To Complete These Two Quests?
In Dune Awakening, in addition to learning as many available skills as possible to explore every place in Arrakis and obtain enough resources, you also need to complete those important mainline quests to unlock the secrets of Fremen in the game.
Among them, different quests require you to travel to different locations to complete, and the completion methods and Dune: Awakening items rewards are also different. This time we will introduce you to the relevant content of the two quests The Jackal and Track Down Skorda.
The Jackal
The quest is picked up in Arrakeen The Jackal’s Alley, where you need to complete a series of dialogues with NPCs to obtain key information, and then find the jackal and kill him. We will show you how to complete these steps.
How To Find The Jackal’s Alley?
Complete Water Fat mission and talk to Elara Tuek to continue to receive The Jackal mission. At the same time, Elara will give you Shigawire Garote to protect yourself, because weapons are not allowed in Atreides base of operations.
Then follow the instructions below to find The Jackal’s Alley in Arrakeen and enter:
- Travel to Arrakeen social hub.
- Find the map marker and turn right after going down the stairs.
- Look for the opening in the wall and interact with it, then enter The Jackal’s Alley.
It should be noted that in order to force the other party to have a key conversation with you after finding the jackal, you need to know three keywords in advance. However, this task can only be completed by yourself, and cannot be solved in a team.
How To Get Keywords?
These three keywords correspond to three NPCs, namely:
- 1. Talk to the wolf at the entrance of The Jackal’s Alley and choose the option: Is the word “seek”? after he gives the riddle. Seek is the first keyword.
- 2. Find the beggar. Although she can’t speak, she will try to imitate the pronunciation of footprint-which is the second keyword.
- 3. Find the vulture by the campfire at the bottom right of The Jackal’s Alley, talk to him and ask him to share the third keyword worm.
Talk To The Jackal
Following the direction pointed by the beggar, you will find the jackal next to the messy tent, and then say to him “I seek the footprints of the worm”. Then he will talk to you and tell you his story, which contains key information to uncover the mystery of Fremen.
After the jackal finishes speaking, he will ask you to kill him, and then with the end of the cutscene, the whole task will be completed. The task reward is The Jackal’s Blindfold-this light armor has 15% anti-poison ability, which is very useful.
Track Down Skorda
In the completed Dune Awakening content, the game will ask you to sign multiple contracts for the faction you join, and the plot of Track Down Skorda is related to the feud between the two major families of Atreides and Harkonnen in the game.
To get to know the family you choose in depth, you must complete this quest. The quest requires you to go deep into Hagga Rift to investigate the ambush of multiple ships in Hagga Basin. We will introduce all the relevant steps to you.
Find Katrina Chloros
Of all the ambushed ships, the captain of Kytheria, Katrina Chloros, is a key figure. Both Atreides and Harkonnen families are interested in her. This means that no matter which side you join, you need to find her.
The specific location of Katrina Chloros will be specifically marked on your map and compass. You can follow the mark into Hagga Rift and search the dark caves here to find her. For this purpose, it is recommended that you carry the following gear:
- Ornithopter - easy navigation
- Sandbike - improves mobility
- Suspensor Belt - improves vertical movement ability
In the cave, you need to always pay attention to whether there are bright lights and campfires on the ledges, which represent the location of Katrina’s temporary camp. Find her and talk to her to continue the quest.
Find The Wreck Of Kytheria
After you’ve finished talking, you’ll need to head north of Katrina’s camp and continue down one level, then north until you find the second half of the wreck of Kytheria. To do this, you’ll need to go deep into the rift.
Be careful, there are enemies lurking in the dark inside the rift, so you’ll need to kill them. Then find the boulder next to the flashing red light nearby and jump into the hole next to it.
There are several bodies in this hole, one of which has a notebook that contains the remaining clues you need. Take the notebook and return to Anvil Outpost.
Report Your Findings
Next, if you’re a member of Atreides family, you’ll need to head to Helius Gate in Eastern Shield Wall region, where you’ll report your findings to Andrea Ganan.
Atreides Mentat is located near the top staircase, near the bounty board, near Ornithopter landing pad and Helius Gate. Give her the notebook and she’ll give you a boost as a reward for completing the quest.
That’s all about these two main quests. If you haven’t completed them yet, please follow the guide to start now!

Dune Awakening Deep Desert Living Guide: How Does A Solo Player Play Here?
Since its official launch, Dune Awakening has attracted hundreds of thousands of players. If you have been playing Dune Awakening for a long time, you have almost reached the endgame of the game, a resource paradise full of chaotic PVP and giant sandworm everywhere, Deep Desert.
Deep Desert is the most dangerous area in the game. Players roaming around are more terrifying than insect killers to some extent, especially PVP players in Deep Desert usually appear in small groups. Once a single player encounters these people, it is very likely that all equipment will be lost.
So do single players have to give up spices and advanced schematics of Deep Desert? No, Deep Desert is also full of single players. As long as you are fully prepared, you can also find treasures in this place.
Make The Right Ornithopter
There are three types of ornithopters in the game: Scout ornithopter, Assault ornithopter and Carrier ornithopter. You might think that an Assault Ornithopter would be an excellent protection for you when entering a PVP area, but your best choice is Scout Ornithopter because it is faster.
Since there are usually not many items in Dune Awakening for single players, the Scout Ornithopter Cockpit Mk4 is enough. You need MK 5 wings and the engine and discharge motor, all of which are designed to make you faster and avoid some players quickly. You should also add a scanning module to it, which allows you to find some hidden resources.
How To Start?
After you have the ornithopter, you can enter Deep Desert. You can enter from the entrance on the top left of Haga Basin. You will appear in A area of Deep Desert, which is a safe area for non-PVP.
All player bases and resources in Deep Desert are reset every week. If you want to build a base, then you can choose this area. Although the resources in this area are very scarce compared to other areas of Deep Desert, they are enough to support the survival of single players.
Single Player PVE Activities
If you don’t want to fight other players, you can go to Imperial Testing Station to search for Dune Awakening items. This is a PVE area, so you don’t have to worry about your safety.
You can find a lot of items here, not only schematics, but also Particle Capacitor, advanced Servoks and Thermoelectric Cooler and many other useful materials.
But you may find that you can’t find anything, because someone has just looted this Imperial Testing Station, and the next batch of resources will be refreshed within 45 minutes to half an hour.
Shipwrecks
Shipwrecks is a PVP area. If you meet other players, you may have a fight.
Although the shipwrecks area in A area of Deep Desert is a PVP area, you will hardly meet other players here, and even if you do, it is unlikely to break out into a fight, because the opponent is likely to be a single player, and multiplayer players are basically in deeper areas.
You can also find a lot of good things in these areas, such as T5 schematics and some materials that can be used directly.
Activities In Deep Area
Then comes the real challenge, and you need to explore the deeper and more dangerous areas of Deep Desert. You need to fly through areas B, C and D, all the way to area E. Because you can’t find Titanium Ore and Stravidium Mass in these areas.
You can find precious materials in the testing station in area D, but these areas are too dangerous. You must have T6 weapons and armor to compete with the PVP players here. If you don’t have them, it’s better to take the risk and fly farther.
In area E, these precious materials are exposed. You need a scanning device to find these resources and land your Ornithopter as close to them as possible, and then you need to collect these Dune Awakening items as fast as you can.
If you take too long, you may attract other players to plunder you. In fact, even if you fly in the air, you may be attacked by other players, which is why a fast Ornithopter is so important for single players.
You can collect ore and spice sand in these areas, but it is best to collect only one at a time. Titanium Ore and spice sand are produced far apart. You may need to enter the H area to get spice sand.
Another activity you can do in I and H areas is to search for some hidden treasure chests. You can fly to an altitude of 500 meters and use a vehicle scanner to find any treasure chests. These treasure chests contain valuable schematics and even Spice Melange. If you find them, you will win the prize.
How To Escape PVP?
In the PVP area, you will always be targeted by some players. If your Ornithopter cannot fight, then quickly pull up and glide, while trying to fly sideways to avoid enemy missiles.
If you have to land, you must hide quickly after you land to prevent the opponent from using the ornithopter to crush you directly. If the opponent chooses to come down to fight you, you can find an opportunity to return to your Ornithopter and crush him to death, if your Ornithopter can still fly.
If you encounter two players chasing you with Ornithopter, you may die.
There are many players in Deep Desert, but not all of them are crowded together. If you don’t go to some resource points with particularly fierce competition, you can also get the precious materials you need, so don’t be afraid, just rush to Deep Desert!
