The Legend of Zelda: BotW Items Guide | Overview, Types & Farming Methods
In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, items are crucial for survival, combat, and exploration. They can appear as weapons, armor, food for healing/buffs, materials for upgrading equipment, etc. Each material and weapon has a specific use, such as resisting elements or increasing attack power, and can also be used to upgrade armor or sold for currency.
Main Item Types
- Weapons: Including swords, spears, axes, bows, and shields, but many weapons have durability limits and will break after use.
- Armor: Sets of armor that provide different resistances and buffs.
- Food & Elixirs: Food cooked from ingredients that can restore health, provide temporary buffs, or increase maximum health/stamina.
- Materials: Primarily ores, monster parts, and natural items used for cooking and upgrading armor.
- Sheikah Slate Runes: Including Magnesis, Stasis, Cryonis, and Remote Bomb, which Link can use to solve puzzles and explore.
- Champion Abilities: Unique abilities from the four Divine Beasts, providing versatile movement and combat advantages.
- Tools and Consumables: The game features a wide variety of tools, mainly used for exploration and puzzle-solving or crafting and upgrading items, all of which are crucial for survival and exploration in Hyrule.
How to farm?
- Farming after Blood Moon: The Blood Moon is a cyclical event that revives defeated enemies, replenishes dropped materials, and resets the game world's state. Therefore, farming after a Blood Moon can greatly increase efficiency and potentially yield high-value items.
- Using the Sheikah Sensor: Set it to track specific materials or enemies to easily find them.
- Resting/Waiting: For many materials and enemies, resting at a fire or shrine until morning/night can reset their respawn or refresh merchant inventories.
- Buying items at IGGM: Our website has a wide variety of items and ample stock. Whether you want top-tier weapons or rarer consumables, you can find them here.
In short, TLoZ: BotW items for sale on IGGM.com stand out in the industry with their low prices, secure transactions, and lightning-fast delivery. So if you want to better explore Hyrule by buying in-game weapons, food, materials, and other items, then come and check us out!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild Best Melee Weapons Rank | Strongest Spears, Swords, And Claymores
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild may not be the best-selling video game, but it remains one of the most fun open-world games.
While The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom took gameplay a step further, Breath of the Wild, as a pioneer in the series' gameplay, still has a large and loyal fanbase.
While Breath of the Wild's gameplay relies on your imagination, Link's progression follows tradition. Players need to level up step by step and acquire better equipment and weapons. With a wide variety of weapons in Breath of the Wild, which one is the best?

Selection Criteria
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild features various weapon types, each potentially optimal in different situations, making the selection of the best weapon quite complex. To avoid being influenced by too many factors, damage is the most important selection criterion here.
Additionally, when Link uses Guardian or Ancient series weapons, note that Guardian weapons deal an additional 30% damage to Guardian enemies. Ancient weapons crafted in Akkala Ancient Tech Lab deal an additional 50% damage to Guardian-type enemies.
If Link wears a full set of Ancient Armor, he gains Ancient Proficiency bonus, increasing the damage of all Ancient weapons by 80%. When Link attacks Guardian-type enemies with Guardian or Ancient weapons, Ancient Proficiency bonus is applied first, and then the weapon's base damage bonus stacks.
The following discussion focuses primarily on melee weapons, categorized into three types based on in-game type: one-handed weapons, two-handed weapons, and spears.
The Strongest Spear
Royal Guard's Spear
Royal Guard's Spear has a base attack power of 32, with a maximum attack bonus of 57. There are two ways to obtain this enhanced spear, both located in Hyrule Castle.
The first method requires defeating Moblin in Hyrule Castle. You need to proceed west from the castle entrance, entering the entrance below the tower, next to the stairs. Jump down and stay on the ledge, then use Shock Trap on Moblin for a while.
Another one is in Hyrule Castle, behind the fireplace in the dining hall. You can proceed northeast from the castle entrance through the only entrance, climbing over a few walls. Once inside, use Magnesis on the fireplace to obtain Royal Guard's Spear. If it doesn't work, you can save and reload to try and get The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild items you want.
Ancient Spear
Ancient Spear has an attack power of 30, but it deals 45 damage to Guardian-type enemies, increasing to 54 damage with Ancient weapon bonus. With the bonus, it deals 70 damage to Guardians. You can obtain this weapon at Akkala Ancient Tech Lab.
The Strongest One-Handed Weapon
Master Sword

As Link's signature weapon, Master Sword definitely deserves a mention. It has a base durability of 40 and an attack power of 30. When Link is at full health, it fires a beam attack of 10. Master Sword cannot be damaged, but it will run out of energy and requires 10 minutes to reforge.
After completing the Trial of the Sword DLC, Master Sword becomes Awaken, increasing its attack power to 60. The beam attack no longer consumes durability and deals 20 damage. All upgraded Link equipment from Amiibo can increase the beam's range.
Savage Lynel Sword
Savage Lynel Sword is arguably the highest attack power weapon. It has a base attack power of 58, which can be increased to 100. You can obtain it from any high-level Lynel wielding a sword. Their level increases with game progress. You can save and load before each battle to farm for the sword, or return after each Blood Moon to defeat them.
Guardian Sword++
Guardian Sword++ has a base attack power of 40, which can reach 60. It deals 78 damage to Guardian enemies, increasing to 108 damage with Ancients weapon bonus. With the bonus, it deals 140 damage to Guardians. You can obtain this weapon in the higher-level Test of Strength.
The Strongest Two-Handed Weapon
Royal Guard's Claymore
Royal Guard's Claymore has a base attack power of 72, reaching a maximum of 116. There are two locations to obtain this enhanced Guardian Greatsword, both within Hyrule Castle:
- Moblin in the prison guard room.
- In the prison cell.
To find Moblin in the guard room, you need to proceed from the castle entrance, enter the first entrance, turn left, then left again. Use the shock Trap as before.
To reach the prison cell, enter from the entrance to the left of Hyrule Castle entrance and continue along the path. Once there, turn right and go to the last cell. You can save and reload to refresh for the desired weapon.
Iron Sledgehammer
Iron Sledgehammer has a base attack power of 12, which can be upgraded to a maximum of 34. While this number may not seem high, it's a weapon specifically designed to deal with Stone Talus. It can deal 4 times the damage to Stone Talus, meaning it can deal up to 136 damage.
Additionally, all rock-smashing weapons deal double damage to Stone Talus. The strongest of these is Boulder Breaker, with an attack power of 60. It's a gift from Elder Bludo in Goron City after completing Divine Beast Vah Rudania quest. If lost or damaged, you can return to Goron City to find the blacksmith Rohan Doe, but you'll need to prepare some materials.
While high attack power doesn't necessarily mean the best weapon, using high-damage weapons can save you a lot of trouble, except against certain enemies.
