  Therefore, if you want to join a raid or Heroic dungeon, a viable approach is to have your tank friend or healer friend bring you along. Simply have your healer friend contact the group leader, expressing their willingness to join, but they must bring you along (especially if you're a class that struggles to get invites). As long as the group isn't full, most raid leaders will accept you on the spot.

  Interestingly, this strategy also works for ranged DPS like Shaman. As long as you can offer the raid leader the specific class they are looking for, this approach can be effective.

  In Heroic dungeons, this strategy works particularly well for tanks, but in 25-player raids, healers are the truly coveted classes. Often, there are 8-10 groups forming simultaneously, and there are simply not enough healers to go around.

  Consider Dual-Specing Your Tank

  In Heroic dungeons, finding a well-geared tank who knows the routes is nearly impossible; some might even ask for compensation just to tank the instance for you. Yet, in 25-player raids, tanks are in oversupply, as every Karazhan tank congregates there, along with those Heroic-dungeon tanks who only log in for raids.

  Alternatively, you could shift your thinking. You don't necessarily have to focus solely on tanking. If you play a tank, quickly utilize the leftover gear from Karazhan and unwanted items from Heroic dungeons to assemble a set of healing gear.

  This way, you can both tank and heal in Heroic dungeons and Karazhan, becoming the group's hero. And in 25-player raids, you can flexibly heal as a Holy Paladin or Restoration Druid.

  Form Groups for Loot

  There's a serious issue with gear acquisition in the current game phase. If you feel you're not getting the loot you deserve, here's a temporary workaround, though you might not like it.

  WoW TBC Classic Anniversary has a shorter timeline than the original, but the number of loot drops hasn't been increased accordingly. This has led to an extreme scarcity of gear.

  A common strategy many guilds currently employ is running multiple raid instances, distributing different classes across various groups to maximize potential gear acquisition. You can emulate this by forming groups that don't compete with you for specific loot.

  Heroic Dungeon Tips

  Heroic dungeons remain some of the most challenging content, even harder than raids at times, causing many players to develop a fear of them.

  However, many players successfully clear Heroic dungeons. The difference often boils down to efficiency. Some Heroic dungeons are genuinely very difficult, and you can treat them as endgame challenges to tackle later.

  Utilize a Mage

  If you feel your current class isn't cutting it, you should absolutely try playing a Mage. It will make the game feel a whole lot easier. Even if your defenses aren't up to par, give it a shot, because beyond your damage output, Mages possess excellent control abilities.

  A Mage's role in Heroic dungeons is to provide slows with Blizzard and crowd control with Polymorph. You can Polymorph at least one mob from every pull, and reducing the number of active mobs significantly lowers the damage the entire party takes.

  Master Crowd Control

  The mobs in The Steamvault are tough, but the instance is actually quite manageable, potentially one of the easier Heroics, especially when using crowd control. Simply assign a Rogue to Sap one mob, a Mage to Polymorph another, and you'll only need to deal with smaller, manageable groups of enemies.

  Skip Some Heroics

  Not all Heroic dungeons are worth completing. Heroic The Underbog is an absolute nightmare for tanks. If your defensive stats aren't perfect, like mine, there are numerous instant-death mechanics and dangerous patrols. It's very easy to wipe. You can comfortably skip Heroic dungeons like this one.

  The same goes for Heroic Shattered Halls. Even if every class in your group has good crowd control, surviving in this dungeon is tough. If your gear isn't top-tier, almost every mob can kill you in a few hits. As players get better gear from Karazhan in the coming weeks, Heroic Shattered Halls will become progressively easier. You can wait until then to complete it. 

  Don't Join Skip Runs

  When you hear about 15-minute daily Heroic The Slave Pens skip runs, it sounds like a fantastic deal. However, in a PUG, skip runs are essentially a recipe for disaster. You skip several packs, someone makes a mistake, and you have to run all the way back from the instance entrance. The further you progress into the instance, the lower the margin for error, and the more time wasted on mistakes. In a PUG, it's impossible for all five players to be perfect; mistakes are inevitable.

  Therefore, if you're in a PUG, it's better not to attempt skips at all. Simply clear all the trash mobs methodically on your way to the boss. This method might take around half an hour, but it's far better than potentially wasting over an hour on failed skip attempts.

  Forming groups in WoW TBC Anniversary is genuinely challenging right now. If your main character consistently struggles to find stable groups, it might be more worthwhile to level a tank, healer, or any in-demand class as an alt to gather resources for your main.
