WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Aldor Reputation Guide | One Decision You Can't Afford to Get Wrong in Phase 1
Category: WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Posted: Feb 10, 2026 Views: 10289
In WoW TBC Classic Anniversary, there's a very important faction choice besides Alliance and Horde: choosing between Aldor and Scryers in Shattrath City after Phase 1 opens.
This choice is crucial because, even without considering your character's alignment, you should plan for your character's future development - the rewards and benefits from each faction are different.
Therefore, this guide will provide information on earning reputation points and leveling up with Aldor faction. This should be helpful if you think this faction is right for you.

What kind of characters are suitable for joining Aldor?
The criteria for choosing between these two factions mainly depend on your base class and your chosen specialization, so it's difficult to definitively say who is more suitable for Aldor or Scryers.
In the early stages of Phase 1, the bonuses from the factions aren't very significant. It depends on whether you want to gain more power through Vindicator's Brand or save gold to improve your reputation or Blacksmithing level.
How to find and unlock Aldor?
Almost every faction in the game has a base of operations, serving as a hub for members' activities and interactions. Aldor's base is located in Aldor Rise in Shattrath City, and you can usually find Quartermaster Endarin behind Aldor Bank.
Whether you join Aldor or Scryers, you first need to complete the prerequisite quest A'dal and City of Light after your character reaches level 65.
Afterward, if you decide to join Aldor, select and complete Allegiance to Aldor quest to begin earning reputation points.
It's worth noting that most characters start with a Neutral reputation level with both factions before making a choice, unless you play one of the following races:
- Draenei characters start with a Friendly reputation level with Aldor.
- Blood Elf characters start with an Unfriendly reputation level with Aldor.
How to earn reputation points?
Earning Aldor reputation points depends on your initial reputation level. If you start at Neutral or Friendly, you can begin earning points immediately. If you are Unfriendly, you need to complete other quests to raise your reputation to Neutral first.
Neutral or Friendly reputation level
Reputation points can be earned by completing specific quests or by farming specific Aldor reputation items: Marks of Kil'jaeden, Marks of Sargeras, and Fel Armaments, and then submitting them to specific NPCs.
We generally recommend focusing on submitting Marks of Kil'jaeden when your reputation level is below Honored, as this item becomes useless after reaching that level. The other two items do not have this restriction.
These items can be earned through combat drops or traded directly from the auction house consuming WoW TBC Classic Anniversary gold, as the related combat quests can be quite time-consuming and you may not always have the time to complete them.
Regarding the available quests, some can be farmed repeatedly, while others cannot. The total reputation points obtainable from non-repeatable farming tasks are 11500, including:
Shattrath City:
- Allegiance to Aldor: 3500
- Ishanah: 10
- A Cure for Zahlia: 350
- Restoring the Light: 250
- Nagrand (after completing the prerequisite quest The Book of Fel Names):
- Return to Aldor: 75
- Varedis Must Be Stopped: 1000
Netherstorm:
- Assist Exarch Orelis: 10

- Shutting Down Manaforge Duro: 250
- Sunfury Briefings: 250
- Shutting Down Manaforge Ara: 250
- Outside Assistance: 25
- A Dark Pact: 250
- Aldor No More: 150

- Tablets of Baa'ri: 250
- Oronu the Elder: 250
- The Ashtongue Corruptors: 250
- The Warden's Cage: 75
If you intend to utilize repeatable quests, you will need to complete quests related to three specific reputation items: Marks of Kil'jaeden, Marks of Sargeras, and A Cleansing Light. Repeatable quests include:
- More Marks of Kil'jaeden: 250
- Single Mark of Kil'jaeden: 25
- More Marks of Sargeras: 250
- Single Mark of Sargeras: 25
- Fel Armaments: 350
After obtaining the reputation items, you need to find the corresponding NPCs to submit them. These NPCs are:
- Mark of Kil'jaeden and Mark of Sargeras: Adyen the Lightwarden (/way 30.8 34.6)
- Fel Armament: Ishanah (/way 24.2 29.8)
Unfriendly or lower reputation level
If your starting reputation level is Unfriendly or lower because you are a Blood Elf or previously joined Scryers, you must raise your reputation to Neutral before you can start farming reputation points using the methods above.
Before that, you first need to farm another specific item: Dreadfang Venom Sac. The steps are as follows:
- Defeat Dreadfang Widow and Dreadfang Lurker in Terokkar Forest to obtain 8 Dreadfang Venom Sacs.
- Travel to Sha'nir north of Shattrath City.
- Accept and complete the quest Strained Supplies to gain 250 reputation points and unlock the repeatable quest More Venom Sacs.
- Repeat this quest until your reputation level reaches Neutral.
What are Aldor reputation rewards?
It's important to note that reputation level rewards are not directly given to you, but rather, reaching a specific level allows you to unlock the ability to trade certain items at designated vendors.
First is Aldor Quartermaster Endarin, who sells items corresponding to each reputation level:

The second vendor is Haldor the Compulsive in Aldor Bank, who sells flasks that can be used in 25-man raids. However, unlocking trading privileges requires you to reach Exalted reputation with all three factions: Aldor, Cenarion Expedition, and Sha'tar.
- Shattrath Flask of Blinding Light
- Shattrath Flask of Fortification
- Shattrath Flask of Mighty Restoration
- Shattrath Flask of Pure Death
- Shattrath Flask of Relentless
- Shattrath Flask of Supreme Power
The last vendor is Inscriber Saalyn, who sells Aldor shoulder enchants. The currency required is not regular gold, but Holy Dust (which you obtain when you turn in Fel Armaments).
Honored:
- Inscription of Discipline
- Inscription of Faith
- Inscription of Vengeance
- Inscription of Warding
Exalted:
- Greater Inscription of Discipline
- Greater Inscription of Faith
- Greater Inscription of Vengeance
- Greater Inscription of Warding
That concludes this guide. If you haven't yet joined any Shattrath City faction, or are planning to leave Scryers and join Aldor, this guide will be very helpful!
