WoW MoP Classic Profession Changes: How Will Them Affect Your Gaming Experience?
Posted: Jun 27, 2025 Views: 725
In WoW Classic Mists of Pandaria, in addition to customizing your character’s race and class, you can also choose different professions as one of your means of survival.
Regardless of what faction, race, or class you choose in the game, all professions are available to you. However, certain racial traits provide additional bonuses for specific professions.
In general, professions in WoW Classic MoP are a set of industry-oriented skills. By learning and gradually improving these skills from trainers, you can collect, craft, and enhance in-game items, or earn WoW MoP Classic gold.
Compared to the early games, Mists of Pandaria Classic, which will be launched on July 21, has also made changes to the profession system for you to get a better experience. We will introduce these changes to you based on the original mechanism.
What Is Spirit Of Harmony?
In addition to understanding the changes to each profession, the first thing you need to know is that MoP Classic adds a new item to the game called Spirit of Harmony.
It is actually a Bind on Pickup (BoP) crafting material that can be found on all lootable creatures throughout Pandaria, and all professions can utilize it to craft the items they need. In addition, you can exchange it for other additional rewards or materials you need.
If you can’t get enough Spirit of Harmony in a short time, you can also utilize 10 more easily obtained Motes of Harmony to synthesize a Spirit of Harmony.
Alchemy
This profession can make special mixtures by mixing potions, elixirs, flasks, oils and other alchemical substances to restore your health and mana, or enhance your attributes.
In WoW Classic Mists of Pandaria, one of the changes this profession has received is that the demand for the herb Golden Lotus has increased in order to craft more new items, such as the swiftness potion that can turn you into a Jinyu Assassin in a short time. Other changes include:
- Alchemist Stones can be found in the world as random upgradable quest items.
- Alchemy can also help other professions by converting Living Steel.
Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, And Tailoring
These three professions are grouped together because their epic recipes all require Spirit of Harmony. In addition, the raid recipes for these three professions will drop from similar monsters and bosses.
Enchanting
In WoW MoP, the materials available to this profession can be upgraded or downgraded as needed, but downgrading requires additional consumption and produces less enchantment dust than upgrading.
In addition, the aura effects of enchantments have gained a dimmer switch, and their effect on enchanted items has been reduced.
Engineering
WoW MoP Classic allows engineers to create a new pet Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling, while removing the restrictions on engineers using new items such as bombs and Dragonling trinkets. It also adds a portable anvil and forge for you to utilize as a blacksmith.
Herbalism
The herb Golden Lotus not only has an effect on Alchemy, but also has a chance to grant a treasure finding buff to a herbalist who picks it. Other herbs worth keeping an eye out for as a herbalist in Mists of Pandaria Classic include:
- Green Tea Leaf
- Rain Poppy
- Silkweed
- Snow Lily
- Fool’s Cap
Mining
The game allows miners to mine new ores and utilize them to craft other advanced items or gear, such as:
- Ghost Iron: This ubiquitous ore can be crafted into strong, lightweight armor.
- Trillium: A rarer metal that comes in black and white and is occasionally found in areas where Ghost Iron is common. Mixing equal amounts of the two colors of ore creates an ingot with metalworking properties.
- Kyparite: Crystallized sap from Kypari trees that can be utilized to craft weapons and epic armor.
Skinning
You can always get a full hide as a skinner, but due to the game mechanics, weaker animals are sometimes eroded by Sha, resulting in only partial hides being usable. Alternatively, you can choose to convert 50 pieces of hide into other better materials.
Jewelcrafting
Originally, you can choose the color of the gem you want to explore from six different exploration recipes, but after the game added Spirit of Harmony, the daily exploration cooldown can be cancelled by it.
In addition, the number of Jeweler’s Gems you can equip is limited to two to improve the convenience of equipment. And you will be able to explore Meta Gems, as well as create a Scrying Gem - to help you observe far away.
More changes include:
- You can make a new leopard mount for anyone to obtain or ride.
- You can get a Grab Bag in Vale of Eternal, and there is a chance to get Meta Gems and two new Jewelcrafting pet recipes through it.
The above are the profession changes worth your attention. The game will launch a pre-patch on July 1st. Please remember to go online and experience it in time!

WoW MoP Classic Sha-Touched Gems: How To Obtain Them?
Among the vast variety of items in WoW MoP Classic, some can be used directly as gear, while others provide benefits in various ways, adding extra bonuses to other items. Both are essential if you want to reach the end of the game.
Of the latter, Sha-Touched gems are a more interesting type. To obtain them, you simply redeem them from the corresponding vendors consuming WoW MoP Classic gold. However, you must complete a series of quests and obtain your first gem before you are eligible to redeem them.
With this in mind, we will explain Sha-Touched gems and detail all the ways to obtain them.
What Are Sha-Touched Gems For?
Sha-Touched gems are socketable gems. Although they can only be socketed into Sha-Touched weapons, they can provide very powerful stat boosts.
There are currently nine Sha-Touched weapons available in Mists of Pandaria Classic, each with Normal, Heroic, and Celestial versions. They are:
- Two-Hand Staff - Agility - Gao-Rei, Staff of the Legendary Protector - 50x August Stone Fragment / Boss Tsulong
- Two-Hand Staff - Intellect - Jin'ya, Orb of the Waterspeaker - 50x August Stone Fragment / Boss Lei Shi
- Two-Hand Ax - Strength - Shin'ka, Execution of Dominion - 50x August Stone Fragment / Boss Sha of Fear
- One-Hand Fist - Agility - Claws of Shek'zeer - 30x August Stone Fragment / Boss Grand Empress Shek'zeer
- One-Hand Sword - Strength - Kilrak, Jaws of Terror - 30x August Stone Fragment / Boss Sha of Fear
- One-Hand Mace - Intellect - Kri'tak, Imperial Scepter of the Swarm - 30x August Stone Fragment / Boss Grand Empress Shek'zeer
- One-Hand Sword - Intellect - Loshan, Terror Incarnate - 30x August Stone Fragments / Boss Tsulong
- One-Hand Dagger - Agility - Spiritsever - 30x August Stone Fragments / Boss Lei Shi
- Ranged Gun - Agility - Taoren, the Soul Burner - 50x August Stone Fragments / Boss Lei Shi
The normal and heroic versions drop from specific bosses in Terrace of Endless Spring and Heart of Fear raids of their respective difficulties.
And Celestial version weapons are obtained by consuming August Stone Fragments to redeem, which can be got from clearing Celestial dungeon.
What Quests Are Required To Obtain Sha-Touched Gems?
To obtain your first Sha-Touched Gem and unlock the ability to redeem it for more gems, you must complete the first chapter of Legendary Cloak questline, Trial of the Black Prince.
It's important to note that this questline consists of five chapters, released over the five phases of MoP Classic. Currently, you can only complete the first chapter. This chapter includes several specific steps, which we'll explain.
Stranger In A Strange Land & A Legend In The Making
To complete this quest, first find the corresponding NPC for your faction to initiate the quest:
- Alliance: Brewmaster Tsu - /way #1530 87.4 68.0
- Horde: Kurong Caskhead - /way #1530 62.2 13.2
After accepting the quest, travel to The Veiled Stair and find Wrathion at /way #433 54.6 72.6 to hear his story.
Trial Of The Black Prince
Next, you'll need to work hard to raise your reputation with Black Prince to reach Honored level. Current ways to increase this reputation level include:
- Completing more daily quests in zones like Ruins of Golai and Golden Stair.
- Defeating Mogu and Mantid in Vale of Eternal Blossoms, Townlong Steppes, Isle of Thunder, and Dread Wastes.
- Defeating members of the opposing faction in Krasarang Wilds.
If you want to increase your reputation level faster, equip items like Battle Standard of Coordination, which grant a short buff that increases your reputation or other loot.
The Strength Of One's Foes
This step requires you to obtain 10x Sigil of Power and 10x Sigil of Wisdom by killing bosses in Mogu'shan Vaults, Heart of Fear, or Terrace of Endless Spring raids. You can then complete one of the following two quests:
- Fear Itself: Defeat Sha of Fear in Terrace of Endless Spring and obtain Chimera of Fear.
- When in Doubt: Defeat Sha of Doubt in Temple of the Jade Serpent under Celestial Difficulty and obtain Chimera of Doubt.
Breath Of The Black Prince
Travel to Mason's Folly and reach the top of the stone steps to meet Wrathion again. You'll then be rewarded with one of three Sha-Touched gems:
- Crystallized Dread: +500 Agility
- Crystallized Terror: +500 Strength
- Crystallized Horror: +500 Intellect
How To Redeem More Sha-Touched Gems?
After unlocking the first gem, if you'd like to add more gems to your Sha-Touched weapons, you can find Blacktalon Quartermaster at coordinates /way #433 54.4 72.8 and use gold to redeem other Sha-Touched gems.
Additional Tips
Although Terrace of Endless Spring remains one of the item-giving raids you've unlocked during Trial of the Black Prince, it's not recommended to wait until it becomes available before completing the quest.
While losing a loot farming source may require more time to complete the quest, clearing other raids more frequently can achieve the same effect. If you wait, you'll simply waste time.
When choosing quest reward gems, if you don't have enough MoP Classic gold to exchange for more gems for now, it's best to prioritize gems that boost your character's weakness stats.
This concludes the guide on how to obtain Sha-Touched gems in WoW Classic Mists of Pandaria. I hope it can also help you complete Phase 1 on time! Thank you for reading.

WoW MoP Classic Heart Of Fear Raid All Bosses And Loot Overview
In WoW MoP Classic Phase 1, all raids will be available at different times, rather than all at once. The first is Mogu'shan Vaults, which launched on July 31st, and the second is Heart of Fear, which we're introducing this time.
This raid can be completed in both normal and heroic difficulties and features six bosses, each offering unique gear rewards and a large amount of WoW MoP Classic gold, which can be used to further upgrade your gear or redeem more items.
Next, this article provides a helpful overview of the raid's bosses and loot.
Heart Of Fear Basic Information
The raid has already opened at 3:00 PM PST on August 21, 2025. Normal difficulty will be 10-player, and Heroic will be 25-player. Sha-Touched weapons dropped are level 496 and 509, respectively.
Additionally, each boss you defeat earns you tokens for Tier 14 raid gear. This means that if you completed Heart of Fear raid by defeating all the bosses, you'll earn a ton of loot!
To access this raid, in addition to ensuring your character and items meet the requirements, you'll also need to travel west of Dread Wastes. Whether you're a Horde or Alliance player, the most convenient flight point is Klaxxi'vess, located at /way 55, 35.
All 6 Bosses
First, you need to know that Heart of Fear is a linear raid, with bosses fought on two different floors. Each of the six bosses has different combat mechanics and abilities. You and your teammates must be well-informed in advance to defeat them.
1. Imperial Vizier Zor'lok
As the first boss encounter in Heart of Fear, Imperial Vizier Zor'lok only requires two phases, but the varying phases mean you'll need to plan your encounter accordingly.
The boss's abilities include:
Phase 1:
- Exhale
- Song of the Empress
- Pheromones of Zeal
- Force and Verve
- Attenuation
- Convert
Phase 2:
- Force and Verve
- Attenuation
Note that the boss will frequently switch platforms during the fight, and some abilities are only available on specific platforms, so you'll need to be vigilant of the boss's movements.
2. Blade Lord Ta'yak
Comparatively speaking, Blade Lord Ta'yak boss fight is probably the easiest in the entire raid. While his fight also consists of two phases, he doesn't have the frequent skill and status changes of Imperial Vizier Zor'lok.
The key to defeating this boss is to move him to the other side if the tornadoes in his area become too dense. Then quickly reduce his health to 20% to enter Phase 2, allowing all tornadoes to disappear and preventing Ta'yak from stacking too many buffs.
The boss's abilities to utilize during the fight include:
- Tempest Slash
- Unseen Strike
- Wind Step
- Overwhelming Assault
- Intensify
- Blade Tempest
3. Garalon
During Phase 1, the boss will target a random player affected by Pheromones debuff. Therefore, if you're a tank, there's no need to taunt Garalon before this phase.
Also, when Garalon's health reaches 33%, you and your allies should focus on destroying all four of his legs, then eliminate all other enemies at once and reduce the boss's health even further to speed up the fight.
The abilities you'll encounter in this boss fight include:
- Pheromones
- Pungency
- Pheromone Trail
- Crush
- Furious Swipe
- Weak Points
It's important to note that if you enter Heart of Fear on Heroic difficulty, Garalon will cast Crush every 35 seconds, not during Pheromones' transit. Therefore, be sure to remember your difficulty level when fighting him, as failure to do so could lead to a loss.
4. Wind Lord Mel'jarak
This boss fight isn't too challenging, the key is to constantly be aware of the additional adds and their abilities. You must focus on controlling the adds and eliminating groups of similar adds (they share health) to trigger Recklessness, dealing more damage to Mel'jarak.
Note that the number of adds you can control at once is limited by the number of alive adds:
- If all adds are alive, you can control up to 4 adds.
- If 6 adds alive, you can control up to 2 adds.
- If 3 adds alive, you cannot control any adds.
Once you exceed this limit, Wind Lord Mel'jarak will immediately dispel all control effects on your added adds.
The boss and its minions will each use the following abilities:
- Whirling Blade - Mel'jarak
- Rain of Blades - Mel'jarak
- Wind Bomb - Mel'jarak
- Recklessness - Mel'jarak
- Amber Prison - Sra'thik Amber-Trappers
- Mending - Zar'thik Battle-Menders
- Quickening - Zar'thik Battle-Menders
- Kor'thik Strike - Kor'thik Elite Blademasters
5. Amber-Shaper Un'sok
One of the most challenging boss encounters in Tier 14, Amber-Shaper Un'sok not only has three phases but also uses mutated constructs to cast additional abilities. Therefore, team members, whether DPS, tanks, or healers, should always be cautious.
This boss's abilities in different situations include:
Phase 1:
- Amber Scalpel
- Burning Amber
- Parasitic Growth
- Reshape Life
Phase 2:
- Amber Carapace
- Parasitic Growth
- Reshape Life
- Amber Carapace
- Amber Monstrosity
- Massive Stomp
- Fling
Phase 3:
- Amber Scalpel
- Concentrated Mutation
- Volatile Amber
- Mutated Construct Abilities:
- Amber Explosion
- Amber Strike
- Amber Explosion
- Struggle for Control
- Break Free
6. Grand Empress Shek'zeer
The final boss has finally arrived! This boss is quite difficult and complex, but the upside is that if you master all of the boss' abilities and mechanics ahead of time and complete your role's duties in the fight, you'll be able to handle it effectively.
All Grand Empress Shek'zeer abilities include:
Phase 1:
- Dissonance Field
- Cry of Terror
- Eyes of the Empress
- Dread Screech
Phase 2 - Set'thik Windblade Abilities:
- Band of Valor
- Dispatch
- Sonic Blade
- Sticky Resin
Phase 2 - Kor'thik Reaver Abilities:
- Poison Bomb
- Toxic Slime
- Poison-Drenched Armor
Phase 3:
- Eyes of the Empress
- Sha Energy
- Calamity
- Consuming Terror
- Amassing Darkness
- Visions of Demise
- Heart of Fear
What Is Heart Of Fear Raid Loot?
We've actually already mentioned the main raid loot. The types of gear you can obtain include the following:
- Weapons
- Cloth Armor
- Leather Armor
- Mail Armor
- Plate Armor
- Accessories
In addition, tokens earned can be exchanged for Tier 14 gear, including the following:

WoW MoP Classic Healing Classes Ranking For Challenge Mode: How To Choose The Best?
Choosing the best class in WoW MoP Classic can be a tricky proposition. Even after categorizing by role, while some classes are generally considered reliable, they aren't necessarily suitable for all playstyles.
While there are currently only nine MoP Classic dungeons you can clear, each one comes with additional Heroic and Challenge Modes. Challenge Modes increase the difficulty of clearing dungeons by restricting gear levels to 463.
Therefore, before entering a Challenge Mode dungeon, in addition to consuming WoW MoP Classic gold to enhance your gear beyond leveling, such as adding affixes, you also need to choose a class that's specifically targeted.
With this in mind, we've listed several of the best healing classes in Challenge Mode and ranked them for your reference.
Top Healing Classes Overview
When ranking these classes, it's important to consider their various contributions, primarily based on the following:
- Healing Effect: The amount of healing or defense provided to the tank and raid when they take damage.
- Mana Efficiency: How effective your healing is, and how often your gear runs into mana issues during Challenge Mode.
- Cooldowns: The cooldown time of your abilities when dealing with high damage or other issues.
- Utility: The utility provided to the entire team.
In theory, you can complete Challenge Mode with any healing class, but lower class or specialization strength will make the fight more demanding and time-consuming. After evaluating these factors, we recommend the following classes:
- Discipline Priest (S-Tier)
- Mistweaver Monk (S-Tier)
- Restoration Shaman (A-Tier)
- Restoration Druid (A-Tier)
- Holy Priest (A-Tier)
- Holy Paladin (B-Tier)
Discipline Priest
Despite the nerf to Atonement, Discipline Priest remains your best choice as a healer in Mists of Pandaria Classic. This is because it not only heals allies, but also provides additional defense and can even deal damage to enemies.
More specifically, in combat, Discipline Priest can act as a healer, dealing damage equivalent to half the team's DPS, helping the team clear dungeons faster.
Furthermore, while healing, they also offer damage defense. Their powerful defensive skill, Power Word: Barrier, in particular, provides a reliable defense for allies, preventing enemies from damaging the team at the source.
Mistweaver Monk
As another S-Tier healing class, Mistweaver Monk's strengths lie primarily in the impressive damage and healing output of Rushing Jade Wind and Eminence, as well as the increased mobility provided by Roll and Tiger's Lust.
In terms of damage output, Mistweaver Monk and Discipline Priest share some similarities, demonstrating that truly powerful healers also need to excel in combat!
It's worth noting that in most encounters, Mistweaver Monk can sometimes deal more damage than Discipline Priest.
However, this class has a significant drawback: the long cooldowns on most of its skills. For example, Revival, while having a long cooldown, offers greater damage prevention than healing.
That said, Revival is still a skill worth relying on when your healing is running low, and it can also be very effective in dispelling magic, poison, and disease effects in specific encounters.
Restoration Shaman
Overall, A-Tier WoW Classic MoP healing class is characterized by its lack of damage output, but its ability to heal and restore allies is not to be underestimated.
At least for Restoration Shaman, its strong healing and reliable cooldowns are enough to keep it viable in Challenge Mode dungeons. While the class's overall healing power has been reduced in MoP Classic due to the rework, the following skills still perform well:
- Healing Rain, Chain Heal, and Healing Stream Totem: Provide reliable healing.
- Stormlash Totem, Spirit Link Totem, and Healing Tide Totem: Have strong attack and defense cooldowns.
Restoration Druid
Unlike Restoration Shaman, Restoration Druid's healing power actually received a buff in WoW Classic MoP. In fact, even without this new buff, the class remains reliable.
Of all Restoration Druid's abilities, the most notable is Ironbark. By steadily providing 20% damage reduction cooldown every minute, it provides the team's tank with a steady and powerful healing output and external cooldown.
In terms of weaknesses, both A-Tier healing classes share the same issue: their bonus damage output is mediocre, and the amount of healing they provide is tied to their defensive cooldown.
But honestly, you can't expect every healing class to perform at S-Tier level. At least at this level, Restoration Shaman and Restoration Druid are both good enough.
Holy Priest
This class meets the basic requirements of a healing class: strong healing output, but lacks attack damage and damage reduction cooldowns.
Despite this, abilities like Divine Star, Circle of Healing, and Divine Hymn can definitely be used to their advantage by transforming the class into a healing machine.
In addition, Holy Priest's Lightwell ability has been tweaked so that it no longer relies on allies interacting with it for healing, making it more useful. If you have extra energy during a fight, you can also use Guardian Spirit to disrupt other mechanics.
Holy Paladin
This class was a top choice for healers in the original Mists of Pandaria. Although the reworked class power levels have caused Holy Priest to fall to B-Tier, it still offers high healing and reliable defense.
Although it still lacks damage, after improvements during the beta, you can now gain mana and holy power through Seal of Insight and Crusader Strike, respectively, allowing you to play a melee healer role in your team.
Another reliable Holy Paladin skill has been reworked to include physical damage reduction, making it somewhat like a different version of Power Word: Barrier: increased range with a 5% reduction in damage reduction.
Overall, this class's damage is nearly zero, and its skills lack offensive power, but its defensive abilities are very effective, and its mana efficiency is also very high. Therefore, even though it's only in B-Tier, Holy Paladin is still worth considering.
This concludes the rankings for the main healing classes in Challenge Mode. Feel free to choose a class that suits your needs. Have fun!

WoW MoP Classic Sha Of Anger Guide: How Should Different Raid Roles Deal With Its Skills?
Sha of Anger is the world boss in World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic. As the mastermind behind the corruption of Shado-Pan Monastery, Sha of Anger plays a significant role in Mists of Pandaria.
Even after players resolve the crisis at Shado-Pan Monastery, Sha of Anger continues to linger in Kun-Lai Summit, attempting to corrupt the land, which means that Sha of Anger is the world boss of Kun-Lai Summit. Defeating this world boss is a weekly must-do, and the loot it drops is all epic.
Defeating a world boss isn't as challenging as a heroic raid, but it's also not as easy as clearing a dungeon. You'll have to engage in a massive melee of 20 or more players, dealing effective damage amidst the chaotic light effects. So, here's a brief guide to defeat Sha of Anger.
Where Sha Of Anger Appears?
Sha of Anger roams Kun-Lai Summit region. It doesn't always appear in one area, but rather in five random locations:
- Two locations on the road west of One Keg.
- Near the road between Shado-Pan and Westwind Rest.
- One location in Yaungol Advance.
- One location between Westwind Rest and Yaungol Advance.
Sha of Anger spawns approximately every 15-20 minutes, but its spawn time and location are not fixed. If you've been waiting in one location for an hour and still haven't seen Sha of Anger, try changing locations.
How To Defeat Sha Of Anger?
As a world boss, Sha of Anger is undoubtedly powerful. Don't try to take it on alone. Even in a large melee of over 40 players, Sha of Anger's single ability is enough to kill a few players.
If you plan to hunt Sha of Anger, it's best to use MoP Classic gold to acquire potions and items. Sha of Anger deals primarily Shadow damage, so you can increase your Shadow damage resistance in advance.
Sha Of Anger's Skills
- Seethe: Deals heavy Shadow damage and increases Shadow damage taken by 10% for 20 seconds, a stacking effect.
- Endless Rage: Deals heavy Shadow damage to enemies within 3 yards of the target and summons a resurgence of Bitter Thoughts at the target's location.
- Growing Anger: After 6 seconds, the target and allies within 5 yards become controlled by it.
- Unleashed Wrath: Deals Shadow damage to 10 random targets every 2 seconds.
How To Deal With Its Skills?
Seethe
If no players are within Sha of Anger's melee range, it will cast Seethe on its current target. Therefore, a tank must be near Sha of Anger to absorb damage and prevent it from casting Seethe.
Endless Rage
The rage brought to Pandaria by Alliance and Horde courses through Sha of Anger, erupting as a rain of Sha energy. Each missile deals significant Shadow damage to players within 2 yards of the impact point and summons Ire and a cloud of Bitter Thoughts.
- Ire: Manifested rage summoned by Sha of Anger's endless rage.
- Bitter Thoughts: A cloud of Bitter Thoughts prevents all players within 3 yards from attacking or casting spells for one minute.
- When the boss casts this ability, all players must avoid the cloud of Bitter Thoughts, and DPS must quickly dispatch Ire.
Growing Anger
When three players are affected by Growing Anger. After 6 seconds, the infected player will display aggressive behavior, placing them and all allies within range under the Sha of Anger's control for 30 seconds. The controlled player's damage dealt is increased by 200%, and their maximum health is increased by 200%. This state is broken when the player's health drops below 50%.
While a player is under control, DPS must quickly attack the controlled player to reduce their health below 50%.
Unleashed Wrath
When Sha of Anger's rage reaches 100, it unleashes its wrath upon nearby enemies. This phase continues until the Sha's rage reaches 0.
While Sha of Anger uses this ability, healers must use their abilities promptly to provide other players with benefits such as healing and shields.
Sha Of Anger Rewards
In addition to receiving Mists of Pandaria classic gold, defeating Sha of Anger also has a chance of receiving item level 496 gear. A complete set of gear is essentially the most powerful gear currently available.

WoW MoP Classic Farming Tips For Jade Forest: How To Earn A Stable Gold Income In This Zone?
Veteran WoW Classic players know that if you want to earn more gold, you need to go beyond just farming for raw gold. This is also true in Mists of Pandaria Classic expansion. Some in-game gear and materials often fetch exorbitant prices on Auction House, and acquiring one or two of these sought-after materials will ensure you never run out of gold.
In WoW MoP Classic, Jade Forest area is a popular farming location. It's the first area players encounter upon arriving in Pandaria. Here, you'll receive quests and begin your journey to level 90.
As we mentioned before, this area primarily relies on farming monsters and gathering, and isn't the best place to earn raw gold. So, if you're looking to level up or gather specific items to earn MoP Classic gold, don't hesitate to head here!
Now, we're heading to Jade Forest to experience the thrill of gold farming in MoP Classic WoW. We'll be targeting Turtles, Yearlings, and some Slitherscale Rippers that look like Naga monsters. After just a short farming session, your stash will overflow with gold!
How To Prepare?
First, we'll head to Winward Isle, a small island off the northeastern coast of Jade Forest. It's packed with mobs that spawn incredibly quickly, so you'll never have to wait or be idle.
If you have a decent Plate Armor set, you can even take on 15 mobs at once and charge through them. Even a glass cannon character like Mage can do it, it just takes a little more patience.
Now, to increase your farming efficiency, we can use a Potion of Luck. This gives players a small chance to loot extra treasure from monsters in addition to any regular loot. It's worth noting that this potion lasts for 20 minutes and persists even after death.
Additionally, finding a portable mailbox and a vendor like the mount vendor can be very helpful. They might be able to help you repair your gear, because if you're just sitting here getting beaten up most of the time, your gear is going to need repairs pretty often.
Target Farming
So, which mobs should we farm to maximize our profits?
Saltback Turtle
First, Saltback Turtle. This is a level 90 giant with approximately 470,000 health. They drop Raw Turtle Meat, which is great for cooking. You can also occasionally find epic loot. Furthermore, they can be skinned, so players with Leatherworking profession will have a treat.
Saltback Yearling
However, Saltback Yearling is the real value. These guys are much easier to kill, have 160,000 health, and are between levels 87-88.
More importantly, their loot table is quite rich, with valuable materials like Green and Blue gear and Turtle Meat, and they can also be skinned. So, with a Turtle, you can farm mobs and skin them simultaneously, making it incredibly efficient.
Slitherscale Ripper
But the genuine stars of Jade Forest are Slitherscale Rippers. These Naga-type monsters have around 400,000 health points. They automatically attack you when you get close, making them quite dangerous.
However, their loot is incredibly rich, dropping not only Windwool Cloth and Cooking Materials, but also epic items, which can be quite valuable. This means you can rack up a ton of WoW MoP Classic gold in Auction House.
Also, if you're a Rogue, farming these guys is even more worthwhile, as you can steal some valuable, marketable junk from them. While these unremarkable items won't be very useful for a level 90+ main character, if you have a sneaky alt, this farming method can help you level up incredibly quickly!
Loot
After just one farming loop, we obtained these lucrative epic items:
- Don Guerrero's Glorious Choker
- Rittsyn's Ruinblasters
- Perculia's Peculiar Signet
- Etoshia's Elegant Gloves
If you find these items while leveling, you can easily earn at least 40,000-50,000 gold, depending on the price on your server. Even if their current price isn't high enough to warrant selling immediately, be assured that these 476 item level pieces still have great potential to fetch much more in the next phase.
Farming Tips
Finally, let's briefly cover a few farming tips to help your exploration go more smoothly.
First and foremost, you want to capture as many monsters as possible and clear out the group, but you don't want to go too far and let them escape. So, your strategy is to kill all the monsters in one place and try to avoid their abilities. If they knock you down, they'll take all your loot.
It's worth noting that the spawn rate here is incredibly high, meaning you'll practically never run out of monsters. This is the kind of place where you can farm for 30 minutes, an hour, or even longer, and the gold piles up.
Once you're done farming these mobs, you can go back, sell the junk they drop, and then toss Windwool Cloth, Turtle Meat, and all the epic items (aka Blue Gear) on Auction House, which might bring you unexpected income.
All in all, Jade Forest is a great place to level up and earn money in WoW Classic's Mists of Pandaria, especially for classes like Mages or Monks who are looking for AoE farming. While quests here aren't as lucrative as raid farming or crafting, they do provide a steady source of MoP gold and XP. So, give it a try!

WoW MoP Classic Temple Of Kotmogu And Silvershard Mines: How To Complete The Two New Rated Battlegrounds?
Among all the new additions to WoW MoP Classic, two new rated battlegrounds, Temple of Kotmogu and Silvershard Mines, are closely related to PvP gameplay.
In fact, Mists of Pandaria Classic features both battlegrounds and rated battlegrounds. The latter offers 10v10 PvP matches, allowing you to practice coordination and teamwork with your teammates and other real players.
Of course, each rated battleground features different maps and combat objectives. To defeat the opposing team, you and your teammates must develop the best tactics based on the characteristics of the battleground.
With this in mind, we'll introduce these two new rated battlegrounds in MoP Classic to help you achieve victory and complete the associated battleground achievements.
Temple Of Kotmogu
In terms of the map layout, each team will first be able to capture two graveyards based on their faction: Alliance's graveyards are located in the northeast and northwest corners, and Horde's graveyards are located in the southeast and southwest corners.
Furthermore, there are four energy orbs scattered around the center of Temple of Kotmogu, a Berserking buff spawn point to the north and south, and four Restoration spawn points located next to each side entrance, respectively.
What Should You Do In This Battleground?
Once both teams enter Temple of Kotmogu, the goal is to quickly capture the energy orbs around the map and hold on to them for as long as possible. The longer you hold on to them, the more points your team will earn.
During this process, the two teams will engage in combat to capture the orbs, and you'll earn team points by successfully killing enemy players. The first team to reach 1600 points wins the battleground.
While holding an energy orb, you gain additional Orb of Power buffs, increasing both your damage output and damage taken, while reducing healing received. This means that the longer you hold an orb, the more vulnerable you become.
Temple Of Kotmogu Tips
Generally speaking, if you're in the center of the battleground, you'll be able to capture Orbs and earn points faster. The optimal battleground locations decrease in distance, becoming less advantageous the closer you are to the edges.
Therefore, unless the enemy team controls the center, you should always strive to stay there, especially if you hold an orb. If you find it difficult to hold on to an orb, you should protect the members of your team who hold an orb.
If your team ultimately wins a Temple of Kotmogu PvP fight, you'll receive rewards such as WoW MoP Classic gold, gear, or a mount. However, given the team-based nature of the encounter, some loot may need to be distributed.
Temple Of Kotmogu Achievements
This battleground features 10 achievements to earn during the battle. Most of them are easy to complete, so you might be surprised to find you've already earned several by the end!
- Temple of Kotmogu Victory
- Temple of Kotmogu Veteran
- Blackout
- Can't Stop Won't Stop
- Powerball
- I've Got the Power
- Four Square
- Temple of Kotmogu All-Star
- What is Best in Life?
- Master of Temple of Kotmogu
Silvershard Mines
This is a very interesting battleground with three tracks on which minecarts travel. The east and west tracks intersect, allowing players to control the direction of the minecarts at a nearby fork.
Each team in Silvershard Mines can only claim one graveyard, which is located at the same location as the spawn point: due north of the center for Alliance and due south for Horde.
Additionally, there are two Berserking buff spawn points on the east and west ledges of the battlefield, and two Restoration spawn points each at the south warehouse and the southeast warehouse.
How To Complete Silvershard Mines?
The primary objective for all teams here is to seize control of the mine cart and, after seizing it, to get it as far as possible to the warehouse at the end of the track.
Similarly, in Silvershard Mines, the first team to reach 1600 points wins. Since the points awarded while the mine cart is traveling are relatively low, it's best to strive to get it to the warehouse to earn the most points.
Completion Tips
Silvershard Mines mine carts spawn one at a time on the track, allowing players to activate up to three at a time. When vying for control of a mine cart, always ensure you're within its control range, otherwise you might end up wasting your time.
Once you gain control of the mine cart, you'll need to use crowd control and knockback abilities to repel incoming enemies, especially as the cart approaches the warehouse.
Also, note that if one team isn't contesting the mine cart, the opposing team will seize control three times faster. However, as long as both teams are contesting, the speed remains unchanged, whether the two teams are competing for equal numbers or not.
Achievements In This Battleground
Silvershard Mines has slightly more achievements available, 11 in total, but the difficulty remains relatively low.
- Silvershard Mines Victory
- Silvershard Mines Veteran
- Escort Service
- Mine Mine Mine!
- End of the Line
- Mine Cart Courier
- Five for Five
- My Diamonds and Your Rust
- The Long Riders
- Greed is Good
- Master of Silvershard
That's all the key information you need for the two new rated battlegrounds in WoW Classic Mists of Pandaria. But to ensure victory, you need both strategic and reliable teammates! So, choose your team carefully!
