RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0 has a different leveling system from traditional RPGs. Instead of relying solely on character levels or quest completion, players earn skill XP by performing specific activities.
Activities such as chopping trees, mining, crafting equipment, cooking, and fighting all increase their respective skill levels, making progression a little more complicated. However, there is no need to worry too much, as getting every skill to level 99 is not particularly difficult.

Preparation
Before doing anything on this list, make sure to use XP potions, XP food, and XP gear. These are relatively easy to craft but provide substantial XP bonuses. From level 1 to 99, these extra bonuses can make reaching the level cap much easier.
Mining
Mining is a great skill to level first because almost everything you do in Dragonwilds will eventually require ore at some point.
One thing many skills have in common is that the highest-tier resources do not necessarily provide the most XP. For Mining, farming Rune Essence is the best approach.
Find the largest Rune Essence clusters you can locate, then use Rocksplosion on them. If the cluster is large enough, a single cast can grant a substantial amount of XP. Remember to save your Rune Essence, as you will need it later for Runecrafting.
You can identify several good spots for casting Rocksplosion and rotate between them. Rune Essence respawns relatively quickly, so keep moving between these locations and remember to collect the essence each time.
Woodcutting
Woodcutting mainly comes down to preparation. Running around and chopping the highest-tier trees you can find is not an efficient strategy, as the XP per hour will be too low.
Once you reach level 20 in Farming, you can unlock Tree Farming, allowing you to plant tree seeds directly in the ground. Plant your trees as close together as possible.
Once the trees have grown, use Axtral Projection to chop down most of the trees along a row, then use Splinter to blow up the stacked trunks into logs. You can speed up the process even further once you unlock Trunk Totem at level 52.

Farming
Farming is one of the most time-consuming skills to level, and there is no single trick that works for everything. The key is to build the largest farm you can maintain.
You should start leveling Farming as early as possible because it continues to progress while you are AFK or busy with other activities. You do not need to stay beside your farm all the time. Simply visit a few key spots on your farm periodically to handle some tasks, then head out on another adventure.
Grains, watermelons, and other seeds that are easy to obtain are your best options. Plant as many plots as you have seeds for, then keep the planting cycle going. Whatever approach you choose, your farm should always be running, so never leave your plots empty.
Fishing
Fishing is another one of the most time-consuming skills, and there are no shortcuts. You have to level it up step by step, so make sure to use any fishing XP tomes you obtain.
From levels 1 to 10, nets provide the most XP in the early game. Once you reach level 10, switch to a fishing rod. Choosing the right bait is important because it helps you avoid catching junk and makes leveling faster. From levels 49 to 55, you can switch back to nets to avoid the hassle of constantly changing bait.
At level 55, you unlock Fishnado. Use it as soon as its cooldown is ready whenever possible. At level 70, you can unlock Angler's Hat, which slows down the depletion of fishing spots and allows you to fish for longer.

Runecrafting
If you have already leveled Mining, you can use Rune Essence you have collected to craft runes at an altar. The important thing is to set the batch size to 50 and craft 50 runes at a time.
From levels 1 to 49, always craft the highest-tier runes available to you for the most XP, and make sure to use Manual Attunement. From levels 50 to 99, follow the same approach but craft Law Runes instead.
If you haven't accumulated enough resources, you can buy RuneScape: Dragonwilds items to maintain your leveling efficiency.
Construction
There is an exploit for leveling Construction that may be fixed soon. Open the building menu near an uneven surface, such as a slope, and select Open Book. Then, stack a second book and a third book on top of the first one.
When you try to place a fourth book, it will automatically be destroyed because of insufficient stability. The materials used to build it will be fully refunded, allowing you to repeat the process immediately.
Each successfully placed book grants 20 Construction XP, while the automatic destruction of the fourth book lets you repeat the process indefinitely with virtually no Dragonwilds Items consumed.
Artisan
Once you enter Umbral Sands and unlock Iasadair, the merchant, you can purchase Dragonwolf Hide from him. Process the hide into Draconic Leather at a Tannery, then sell it back to him. Each transaction earns you 15 Chits and grants 44 Artisan XP.
Try to build the largest possible working area near the merchant so you do not have to travel far. Place as many tanneries as you can, start processing the hides, then wait and move back and forth between the tanneries and the merchant to keep trading and selling fresh Dragonwolf Hide.
Cooking
With Chits earned through Artisan, the crops grown through Farming, and the fish you catch, you can move on to leveling Cooking to 99. Higher-tier food does not necessarily grant more XP, so the real time sink is collecting all the ingredients.
You can trade with Domri to obtain the two ingredients needed to make Crisps, then craft them nearby. Processing the ingredients and making Crisps will grant XP twice.
Of course, there are other methods as well. These require more grinding but involve fewer prerequisites and can be done at any time, such as cooking Red Berries or turning Dirty Water into Clean Water.
Agility
When leveling Agility, your first priority should be to obtain the amulet from the first Agility course. It provides a 100% XP bonus to all Agility activities, effectively doubling your XP gains.
Complete each new course as soon as you unlock it, then repeatedly run the best course currently available to you. One advantage of Agility is that you can level it passively through normal gameplay. As long as you are not standing around at your base all the time, Agility is one of the few skills that will often reach level 99 naturally.
Combat Skills
Melee and Ranged
When training Melee, what you really need is a location with plenty of enemies that cannot be killed in a single hit. XP depends on the damage you deal, so enemies that can withstand more damage are generally better targets.
All you need to do is find a spot where you can safely defeat enemies and keep fighting for an extended period, then continue until you reach level 99.
Ranged follows essentially the same principle as Melee, but it is best to use better weapons so you do not waste time searching for arrows.
Magic
Magic follows the same general approach, but the key is having an AoE attack. Try to hit as many enemies as possible with each cast, as this will significantly increase your XP per hour.
Leveling every skill to 99 in RuneScape: Dragonwilds is one of the most time-consuming parts of the game. However, different skills complement each other, such as Farming and Woodcutting. Planning the order in which you level them can save you a considerable amount of time.
