Stop Being Poor in Path of Exile 3.29: This Low-Cost Scarab Strategy Nets 60 Chaos Orbs per Map

Category: Path Of Exile Posted: Jul 29, 2026 Views: 21

In fact, you don't need to invest too many resources in Scarabs in Path of Exile 3.29 just to farm currency. This Cloister and Scarab stacking strategy allows us to net approximately one Divine Orb per map, without involving expensive items or complex Passives.

Stacked Deck drop rate on a single map can far exceed expectations - once you unlock five Scarab sockets, the subsequent gains are almost rock-solid, with fluctuations mainly depending on the map's affix quality.

This efficiency can be further improved by combining Ritual and Shrine bonuses.

Core Strategy

Maximizing the number of monsters per map in PoE 3.29 to trigger Stacked Deck drops at a high frequency is the core gameplay of this strategy.

To achieve this, the key is to use five Divination Scarabs of The Cloister, whose effects stack, significantly increasing the efficiency of Stacked Deck production.

However, we must first unlock five Scarabs sockets on our Map Device before we can begin this strategy, which means we need to defeat a specific endgame boss to obtain the fifth socket.

If we only have four Scarabs, the returns will drop significantly because of insufficient stacking layers, so five sockets are an indispensable threshold.

Map Preparation

In PoE, the quality of a player's map's base affixes directly determines the number of monsters within a single map, thus affecting the total drop count of Stacked Deck.

Therefore, we need to carefully roll for the map, with the core objective of maximizing the monster pack size.

If you want to save costs, use Orb of Alteration to reroll the map, and then prioritize keeping maps with fewer basic affixes and monster pack size bonuses.

For example, you can first reroll the map until approximately 27% of the affixes have monster pack size bonuses, and then decide whether to use Exalted Orb to expand based on the remaining affix count.

If a map only has two affixes, you can increase them to three using Exalted Orbs, potentially resulting in a higher monster pack size.

Another more efficient but more expensive method is to obtain pre-rolled maps from other players. These maps typically offer monster pack sizes of over 50%, but cost control is crucial; it's recommended to keep the cost per map to around 20 PoE Chaos Orbs.

Map Device Options

Regarding Map Device options, it's not recommended to use expensive Astrolabe-related currencies. The main profit source for this strategy is Stacked Deck itself and the small amount of currency dropped within the map; adding extra map costs will reduce your profit margin.

Therefore, we only need to select any regular map, because the key is whether the map's terrain is suitable for quick map clearing.

Atlas Passive Tree Configuration

Our primary task on Atlas Passive Tree is to select all nodes that increase monster pack size, as well as nodes that enhance map affix effects.

At the same time, Memory Tear Chance and Eater of Worlds Influence Pack Size together can give us additional monster groups and drop rate bonuses.

Additionally, to increase Scarab drop rate and replenish resources, Scarab-related nodes are also essential.

Don't forget about Shrine-related nodes, which significantly improve your character's movement speed and map clearing efficiency in Path of Exile 3.29, providing effective buffs when your gear or damage is insufficient, making these nodes extremely cost-effective.

The Value of Ritual Mechanism

The reason Ritual is chosen as a key component in our strategy is that it can revive monsters we've already killed, allowing them to be killed again within Ritual circle, thus providing additional opportunities for Stacked Deck drops.

However, players should note that while nodes related to Ritual are worth selecting in Atlas Passive Tree, Sacrificial Due is not recommended to prioritize points on this Passive skill because its benefits do not perfectly align with our strategic goals.

In addition, Ritual not only provides us with extra Stacked Deck drop opportunities, but also gives us a chance to obtain high-value currencies such as Exalted Orbs and Divine Orbs.

Profit Analysis

Our profits on a single map mainly consist of two parts: Stacked Deck drops and various currencies.

If you prepare according to the steps and methods described above, your Stacked Deck drop count per map will typically fluctuate between 40 and 70.

Let's take 55 Stacked Decks as an example - a moderately high profit level. Based on PoE 3.29 market price, this is worth approximately 90 PoE Chaos Orbs!

In addition, the map will drop Scarabs, various basic currencies, etc., with a total value usually between 10 and 20 Chaos Orbs.

Now let's look back at our cost: five Divination Scarabs of The Cloister cost approximately 45 Chaos Orbs, meaning our net profit per map is about 60 Chaos Orbs.

If converted to Divine Orbs at an exchange rate of 1:120, this means that we can get a net profit of about 1 Divine Orb for every two maps.

If this return isn't enough for you, then there are PoE currency free giveaways on IGGM Facebook right now, and if you win, you can share 500 Divine Orbs and 5000 Chaos Orbs with nine other people!

In the early stages of Path of Exile 3.29, this level of profit is definitely highly competitive, and it doesn't require very strong characters. It mainly tests your map clearing speed and your understanding of map affixes.

By implementing this strategy in PoE Curse of the Allflame, you can also reap substantial currency rewards!
