Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5.0 Runeseeker's Call Complete Guide | Hidden Quest, Mana Overflow Trick, and Value‑boosting Enchants

Category: Path Of Exile 2 Posted: Jun 30, 2026 Views: 16

Runeseeker's Call Runic Fork is a hidden unique item from Path of Exile 2 Runes of Aldur League. It does not drop from normal farming; instead, it is a quest reward that each character can obtain only once.

Despite being a quest item, this fork can be sold, and its market value reaches several hundred Divine Orbs - a fortune that many players overlook. Let us walk through the steps required to acquire it and then consider how to enhance its worth.

Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5.0 Runeseeker's Call Complete Guide | Hidden Quest, Mana Overflow Trick, and Value‑boosting Enchants

How to Obtain Runeseeker's Call Runic Fork?

Depleted Mana Rune

The quest tied to this item is a secret one in PoE 2 Patch 0.5.0. You will need to defeat Uhtred, the Stardrinker - the boss of Expedition encounters - repeatedly until he drops a Depleted Mana Rune.

The drop rate for this rune is quite low, roughly between 2% and 3%, so be prepared for a lengthy grind. To shorten the process, you can use Uhtred's Saga, which guarantees that your next Logbook will include an Uhtred encounter. Each Uhtred's Saga currently trades for about one Divine Orb.

Because Depleted Mana Rune is a quest item, it can be obtained only once per character and cannot be traded between players. Therefore, to realise its true value, you must complete the associated quest.

Infused Mana Rune

Once you have the rune, take it to NPC Farrow and speak with him. He will tell you that the rune needs to be charged. The charging condition is that your character must have at least 10,000 maximum Mana at that moment.

After the charge completes, Depleted Mana Rune transforms into an Infused Mana Rune. Hand this infused version back to Farrow, and he will reward you with Runeseeker's Call Runic Fork.

How to Reach 10,000 Maximum Mana?

Apart from farming the rune itself, the second major hurdle is pushing your maximum Mana to 10,000. This is undoubtedly challenging, as it requires stacking Mana-related modifiers on both your passive tree and your gear.

Passive Skill Tree

Eldritch Battery Keystone is critical because it converts your Energy Shield into additional Mana. This means you can raise your Mana ceiling further by investing in Energy Shield.

The notable Gem Enthusiast is also very helpful, since it grants a 5% increased maximum Mana when you have 10 blue support gems socketed - a condition that is fairly easy to meet.

Beyond those, take every passive node that grants Intelligence or maximum Energy Shield.

Equipment

Undying Hate Timeless Jewel

The most important piece is Undying Hate Timeless Jewel. When you socket this jewel into a jewel slot on the tree, it conquers all passive nodes within its very large radius.

Small passive nodes are converted into Tribute, losing their original properties and instead acting as counters that accumulate your total Tribute value.

Notable passive nodes are replaced with new effects that scale based on that total Tribute. Which specific effect you get depends on the suffix of the jewel's name.

The suffix you want is Kurgal, which provides the effect "Mana Recovery from Regeneration Overflows." This allows your Mana regeneration to exceed your maximum Mana, and the overflow becomes an additional Mana reserve.

With this jewel in place, you do not actually need to reach 10,000 Mana through raw stats alone; around 6,000 base Mana, combined with the overflow mechanism, will suffice to meet the requirement.

Other Gear Slots

For your other gear slots, prioritise items that have both Tier-1 flat Mana and high Energy Shield modifiers. The total cost of assembling such a set is roughly 20 Divine Orbs.

If you also factor in the gold needed to respec your passive points, you may need a few hundred thousand gold. Compared to the eventual payoff of hundreds of Divine Orbs, this investment is entirely worthwhile.

Activating the Mana Overflow

After equipping Undying Hate Timeless Jewel, simply use any skill to trigger the overflow effect. Your displayed Mana pool will instantly jump beyond its normal cap, easily rising from around 6,000 to over 10,000.

Once your Mana shows 10,000 or more, right-click Depleted Mana Rune in your inventory, and it will become successfully charged.

How to Increase the Value of Runeseeker's Call Runic Fork?

The weapon grants a skill called Stars Answer, which costs 10,000 Mana per cast. However, that skill is not particularly useful in practice.

The fork does not carry any traditional damage modifiers, but it does have five rune sockets and provides a 200% increased effect of socketed runes - and that is where its genuine worth lies.

You can also upgrade this weapon at Runeforged crafting bench, where it will randomly receive one of the following three enchantments:

  • (30–50)% chance for spell skills to fire an additional two projectiles
  • (30–50)% increased Mana recovery rate
  • +300 maximum rune shield

Because not many players farm Uhtred repeatedly, and even fewer are willing to run multiple characters through the same process, even an uncorrupted Runeseeker's Call Runic Fork can sell for around 800 Divine Orbs.

You may choose to sell it directly, or you can attempt to craft it for a higher return. Modifiers that increase maximum Mana, Mana recovery, or grant +2 additional projectiles all add to its market value.

For the crafting process, you will need 50 Exceptional Verisium and 1 Olroth's Crest of the Sun; these materials are obtainable through trade, with a total material cost of about two Divine Orbs.

First, use currency to raise the fork's quality to 20%, then take it to Crafting Bench and place Runic Fork into the upgrade interface. It will randomly select one of the three options above.

Among these, the +2 projectile enchantment commands the highest premium, sometimes adding as much as 100 Divine Orbs to the item's total value.

That said, if the crafting outcome does not land on a desirable mod, the value of your fork may drop, potentially costing you several dozen Divine Orbs in lost opportunity. For a safer approach, you might prefer to sell the item as-is and avoid the gamble altogether.

If you're using a mana-stacking build, then Runeseeker's Call Runic Fork is your best weapon. If you don't have the patience to repeatedly farm Uhtred, you can buy PoE2 Runeseeker's Call from IGGM directly, which will save you a lot of effort.
