MLB The Show 26 New Threads Trade Deadline Program Guide: How to Unlock All Reward Path and Other Potential Packs?
Category: MLB The Show 26 Posted: Aug 10, 2026 Views: 14
In late March of this year, shortly after the launch of MLB The Show 26, the game introduced New Threads program and its associated collection series. Now, nearly six months later, in August, New Threads Trade Deadline Program and its corresponding collection have arrived!
You could think of this as New Threads 2.0; the connection goes beyond just the name, as completing the Trade Deadline program actually requires the use of New Threads players.
Here, we'll walk you through how to complete New Threads 2.0, the specific rewards available, and which players in the collection are worth investing your time and Stubs to unlock.

What are the rewards for New Threads Trade Deadline Program?
The program features a reward path with 20 tiers, requiring you to earn 100 Program XP to unlock everything. The rewards are diverse, ranging from Season XP and new specific player cards to various packs, making this an event you won't want to miss:
- 15,000 XP
- 10x Players
- 2x Deluxe Trade Deadline Packs
- 1x Ballin' is a Habit Pack
- 2x The Show Packs
How to earn rewards in this program?
New Threads Trade Deadline Program offers 23 Missions and 10 Moments for you to complete. Each moment grants 5 Program XP, while missions award either 5 or 10 Program XP depending on their difficulty.
Missions fall into three categories based on their requirements: Standard, Multiplayer, and PXP. Standard Missions require you to use any New Threads player you've acquired to hit specific targets, while Multiplayer Missions restrict the action to multiplayer modes.
As for PXP Missions, you need to earn 500 PXP using any version of the specified players. If you don't own those specific players, don't worry, you can use any New Threads player in Mini Seasons to grind PXP; reaching the 9,000 PXP cap earns you 25 Program XP.
Overall, the way you complete tasks in New Threads Trade Deadline Program isn't much different from other MLB 26 programs; the key factor is whether you have enough New Threads players.
While most missions don't restrict your roster choices, using players who excel in specific areas will make completing the required actions much more efficient.
So, if you haven't participated much in New Threads 1.0 and have been busy with other new programs lately, you can buy MLB 26 stubs on IGGM and unlock your target players directly via the marketplace.
Even better, by registering and logging into IGGM now, you can earn points through daily check-ins and completed orders! You can then redeem these points for IGGM coupons, allowing you to buy more stubs on a limited budget.
Once you have the right New Threads players, prioritize the easier tasks and Moments within New Threads Trade Deadline Program. Then, continue progressing based on XP you still need until you reach the 100 XP milestone.
Potential pack rewards from other updates
In addition to the rewards earned by completing MLB The Show 26 New Threads Trade Deadline Program itself, the game has introduced New Threads Trade Deadline Mini Seasons Challenge and a Trade Deadline Map for Conquest mode.
Mini Seasons is a reliable offline mode in MLB 26 for earning Stubs, with themes that shift alongside game updates. Completing Trade Deadline Mini Seasons Challenge is expected to yield additional rewards, such as Ultra Choice, Deluxe Choice, and Deluxe Trade Deadline packs.
As for Conquest mode, it plays like a built-in board game; mastering the map's layout is key to victory, and the addition of new maps keeps the mode feeling fresh.
With the launch of Trade Deadline Map, you can earn rewards, including four Deluxe Trade Deadline packs, by capturing territories and completing specific objectives on the map.
Opening these packs can yield new players beyond those found in the program's reward path, such as Luis Arraez, José Soriano, Tarik Skubal, and more.
If these packs don't give you every new player, or if you simply enjoy the thrill of opening packs, you can also consume MLB 26 stubs in the in-game store to redeem Deluxe, Premier, or Trade Deadline packs directly; higher-tier packs contain more high-quality cards.
What is Chase Pack 21?
When opening standard The Show packs in MLB 26, there is a small chance of obtaining a Chase Pack. These packs contain exclusive, high-value player items, and the selection is updated roughly every week.
Chase Pack 21 is a new option that launched on August 7 alongside New Threads Trade Deadline Program and Collection; opening it gives you a chance to pull a 99 OVR Adrian Beltre.
This Boston Red Sox third baseman is a four-time All-Star and four-time Silver Slugger Award winner, his talent is undeniable. Even if you don't pull him, Chase Pack 21 guarantees at least one Diamond player card.
In addition to standard pack openings, you can now also unlock Chase Pack 21 via 6th Inning XP Reward Path Wheel.
