ARC Raiders was released at the end of October 2025 and quickly gained popularity, leading to high expectations for the game's New Year roadmap as 2026 arrived. After nearly a month of waiting, the development team finally released their initial plans!
This roadmap, released on January 23rd, only covers content from January to April, but it's comprehensive enough to ensure an update is released every month!
Previously, based on player feedback over the past few months, we predicted potential new initiatives for ARC Raiders in 2026. While not perfectly aligned with this roadmap, some content is thematically similar.
Next, we'll provide a detailed look at this roadmap and continue speculating on further development plans for ARC Raiders.

January-April 2026 Roadmap overview
While this roadmap only covers four months, production capacity is limited for a new game like ARC Raiders, so revealing subsequent update plans in stages is understandable.
Each month will see an update of similar scale to Cold Snap, and even the end of January has its own dedicated name.
January - Headwinds
Due to time constraints (only one week left in January), Headwinds update is relatively small, including a new matchmaking option, minor map conditions, and other player projects.
Firstly, the new matchmaking option is specifically for players level 40 and above, but it's unclear whether these players are required to choose this option; we'll have to wait until the update is officially released - most speculated to be January 27th.
This mechanism means experienced players can increase their chances of obtaining rare ARC Raider blueprints by facing more dangerous enemies and environments. New players can also avoid being overwhelmed by experienced players in chaotic battles.
As for the new minor map conditions, it's likely to be Toxic Swamp, that's been widely rumored in the community. Based on various leaks and speculations, this event might feature geysers or volcanic terrain, along with dangers from poison and heat elements.
The specifics of the player project will probably only be revealed when the update officially launches, but we initially speculate it might be a reward event that allows you to unlock free items or new skins, similar to the previous Candleberry event.
February - Shrouded Sky
The new map conditions brought by this update can only be judged from the teaser image; it appears to be themed around heavy fog. This means visibility will be significantly reduced, making it difficult to spot enemies, but also allowing for more stealthy approach.
Other content that Shrouded Sky will bring includes:
- New ARC enemy types
- New player project
- New map
- Raider Deck
- The opening of the second expedition window
We don't yet have many clues about most of these details, but it's certain that the opening of the second expedition window signifies the start of a new round of player-versus-player battles, as everything will be reset to zero again.
Therefore, all you can do is continue stockpiling the necessary materials for expeditions (if you plan to participate) and then take advantage of the new map conditions to acquire new rare weapons or blueprints as quickly as possible.
March - Flashpoint
Compared to February, March's update is slightly simpler, including:
- New ARC enemy type
- New player project
- New map conditions
- Scrappy update
Judging from the background image, the map conditions may be related to lightning or strong winds. Considering that Electromagnetic Storm already includes lightning, the new event should be designed to be somewhat different.
Other update content may require further speculation based on bugs or leaks as March approaches, but Scrappy update is certain to be a highlight.
This amusing mechanical rooster will passively spawn various basic items in your base, which is useful for beginners or those whose inventory has been reset after completing an expedition.
We speculate that Scrappy-based updates may include the following possibilities:
- Increased upgrade cap, generating more or rarer items.
- It can be carried into battle, providing buffs or picking up loot for you.
- Enrich base customization with Scrappy as the anchor point.
April - Riven Tides
The teaser image for this update appears to have a beach theme, as can be seen from the update's name. This is indeed quite surprising and exciting, as the game currently lacks this type of terrain in both its maps and map conditions. More updates include:
- New Map
- New Map Conditions
- New Large-Scale ARC
- Opening of the Third Expedition Window
Judging from the small icons on the left, the new map conditions may be related to clouds and lightning. Based on the speculation about the new map, you might experience sea storms in ARC Raiders in three months.
Other update details
In addition to the main content based on each month's update, the developers will also release new quests, items, cosmetics, QoL updates, and other more detailed optimizations and changes over these four months.
Other 2026 update plan speculations
In fact, based on the schedule from January to April, it can be seen that the update pattern for ARC Raiders is basically fixed: adding new maps (conditions), enemy types, and other miscellaneous items through a fixed theme.
Therefore, in general, updates from May onwards should follow this pattern, accompanied by bug fixes and optimizations to existing content. Considering previous player requests, there's also the possibility of introducing more entirely new PvE/PvP gameplay modes.
Furthermore, the development team should remain committed to combating cheating and promptly fixing any exploitable vulnerabilities to maintain a fair gaming environment and enhance the experience of new content.
That concludes our overview. We hope ARC Raiders continues to bring surprises to the shooting game genre!
