ARC Raiders Expedition Guide | How To Reset, Level Up Fast & Get Max Rewards?
Posted: Nov 12, 2025 Views: 43
ARC Raiders has surpassed Battlefield 6 and Elden Ring Nightreign to become the most-played game on Steam. Its shooting mechanics and gameplay are quite impressive, making it one of the best extraction shooter games currently available.
Compared to other extraction shooter games, ARC Raiders incorporates an Expedition system as the game's endgame mode, allowing players to continuously progress. Some players dislike this system because it essentially means starting from scratch. However, in reality, if you've already gained experience leveling up once, leveling up again will only be faster.

What Is Expedition?
It's a periodic account reset mechanism, with a window approximately every 8 weeks. Players who meet the requirements can choose to reset their accounts, while those who haven't must wait for the next window. This is not mandatory; players can choose whether to participate.
Expedition resets most of the content, but also retains some each time, preventing you from starting completely from the beginning.
Reset Contents:
- Stash Upgrade Progress
- Inventory Items
- Blueprints
- Coins
- Player Level
- Skill Points
- Raider Den
- Workshop
- Quests
Retained Contents:
- Unlocked Maps
- Unlocked Workshop Stations (level 1)
- Codex Entries
- Raider Tokens
- Cred
- Raider Decks Progress
- Active Leaderboards
- Trials
- Cosmetics
- Personal Event Progress
Core Expedition Rewards
When Expedition window is open, the total value of the items in your stash will determine the bonus skill points you can earn, up to a maximum of 5 points, and will also permanently increase your stash space.
Note that these rewards are cumulative, so each time you restart by Expedition, the bonus skill points and stash space earned from the previous Expedition will carry over to the next, allowing you to eventually unlock the next Expedition with full skill points.
Additionally, after resetting, you'll receive higher experience gain, extra items, faster weapon repair speed, and exclusive cosmetics, among other rewards.
It's recommended that you collect as many high-value ARC Raiders items as possible and store them in your stash during the 7-day selection period when Expedition window opens, so you can obtain the maximum of 5 extra skill points upon resetting.
Skill Tree Settings
Whether you're a new player or resetting your progress, don't randomly select your perks. Since perks directly impact your loot each match, it's recommended to prioritize or avoid certain perks:
Recommended Perks
Security Breach (Survival Tree)
Security Breach unlocks Security Lockers on the map. These lockers offer the best loot in the current version, have multiple spawn points, and are not affected by day/night cycles, making it one of the best perks to pick.
Broad Shoulders And Loaded Arms (Conditioning Tree)
Broad Shoulders (Survival Tree) increases your total carry weight, while Loaded Arms (Conditioning Tree) reduces weapon weight. Combining the two greatly increases the amount of items you can carry per match.
Stubborn Mule (Survival Tree)
Stubborn Mule reduces the impact of Overweight on stamina regeneration. Combined with the perks above, it's very effective.
Looter's Instincts And Looter's Luck
These two perks come from Survival Tree. They significantly increase your looting speed and have a chance to find two items at once, allowing you to quickly acquire loot in dangerous areas and reduce the risk of being ambushed.
Fight Or Flight/Survivor's Stamina/Unburdened Roll/Suffer In Silence
Although these skills come from different skill trees, when combined, they provide a free roll, stamina recovery, noise reduction, and a short-term stamina-free sprint when you take damage or your shield breaks, greatly enhancing your survivability.
Not Recommended Skills
Traveling Tinkerer (Survival Tree)
It allows you to create Catch Keys and traps in a session, but it's almost never used and are simply a waste of skill points.
Silent Scavenger And Gentle Pressure
The effects of these two perks are not noticeable; other players can still hear them.

How To Quickly Max Out Scrappy?
Upgrading Scrappy to level 5 provides more materials, but searching for fruits and vegetables is very time-consuming.
Trinkets Locations
- Very Comfortable Pillow, Cat Bed, and Dog Collar.
The best place to find them is Village area on Bluegate map. You can search inside houses and usually find them all within 3-4 games. Alternative locations are the apartments and the area around town on Dam Battlegrounds.
Fruits Acquisition
- Lemon, Olives, Mushroom, etc.
The best place to get fruits is only recommended during Lush Blooms event on Spaceport map. You can go to the huts and shacks near Communications Tower.
Your goal is to find baskets. Finding just 3-4 baskets will give you all the fruits needed to upgrade Scrappy.
Recommended Loadout Equipment
Backpack Selection
In the early game, choose Looting MK1 for the highest initial carrying capacity. And in the mid-game, you have two options: continue using Light Shield and choose a backpack that provides more carrying capacity, or transition to the Tactical Mk. 2 backpack to equip a Medium Shield.
The best choice for the endgame is Looting Mk3 (SURVIVOR), which provides 80 carrying capacity, allows the use of a Medium Shield, and adds an extra utility slot.
Shield Selection
Medium Shield is the best choice throughout the game. Compared to Light Shield, it provides approximately 12% more effective health while only incurring a 5% movement speed penalty. Heavy Shield is not recommended because it only provides about 9% more effective health than Medium Shield, while incurring a 15% movement speed penalty, and the crafting materials required are high, making it inefficient.
If you're playing solo, I highly recommend finding and crafting a lot of Jolt Mine blueprints. They can help prevent ambushes or set up guards when looting or attacking large ARCs.
Best Weapons Selection
Early Game
For melee weapons, choose either Stitcher or Kettle. Kettle has a high rate of fire but requires rapid clicking, while Stitcher is more stable and becomes very powerful later when paired with Kinetic Converter Mod. For ranged weapons, you can use Ferro, which uses heavy ammo and is excellent against ARC units.
Mid Game
Ferro can be replaced with Anvil in mid-game, which is superior to Ferro in many ways. For melee weapons, choose Venator pistol, which uses medium ammo and is currently the strongest close-range weapon.
Endgame Choices
- Bobcat: An excellent close-range submachine gun, especially suitable for hip fire.
- Tempest: A very versatile weapon, suitable for mid-to-long range.
How To Get XP?
Completing the main storyline unlocks the blueprints for Hullcracker and its ammunition, allowing you to mass-produce this weapon specifically designed to counter large ARCs. You can then use Hullcracker or Wolfpack Grenade to quickly eliminate large ARC units.
Destroying a large ARC grants a significant amount of experience, and dismantling each part of its wreckage grants an additional 500 XP, making the experience gain quite substantial.
If you can't efficiently farm ARCs, focus on survival and looting. Stay in the lobby for as long as possible, loot everything you can, and successfully extract. Even if it has already been looted, interacting with it will grant search experience. A successful match can earn you 20,000-30,000 XP.
This concludes the general overview of Expedition and solo leveling. Hopefully, it helps you progress more efficiently in the game.
