ARC Raiders massive content leak reveals next map Frozen Trail, game-changing new boss Frigate, and more!

Category: ARC Raiders Posted: May 08, 2026 Views: 15

Although not much time has passed since the launch of Riven Tides update in April, ARC Raiders players are already looking ahead to new content. Because the previous roadmap only covered January to April.

Interestingly, over the past few days, whether due to a genuine accidental leak or a deliberate move by the developers, a substantial batch of leaked information has been circulating within the community, and it appears to be quite credible.

If you don't mind spoilers, feel free to read through this guide to get a sneak peek at these rumors! However, we must warn you: no one can guarantee that this content will definitely make it into the game!

ARC Raiders massive content leak reveals next map Frozen Trail, game-changing new boss Frigate, and more!

Source of the leaks

First, it must be clarified that neither the developers nor the staff behind ARC Raiders have released any official plans or announcements regarding what comes after Riven Tides update. The information regarding potential new content primarily stems from a single discovered document.

The reason this document is considered reliable is not only because its contents align with the typical scope of ARC Raiders updates, but also because, at the time Escalation roadmap was released, the developers stated that they had already mapped out a development plan spanning the next ten years.

This implies that documents detailing further update plans likely do exist; furthermore, using accidental leaks to generate buzz for a game has become a fairly common practice in the industry these days.

New map Frozen Trail

Among the leaked details, the most noteworthy item is a new map reportedly named Frozen Trail. In fact, the document explicitly labels it as the very next map scheduled for release following Riven Tides.

Based on preliminary observations, the map features a wealth of POIs, including a central station, a rail yard, an observatory, a radio tower, and more.

If you've been playing the game consistently, you've likely noticed that most players feel Riven Tides map is somewhat undersized and doesn't quite meet the established design standards for ARC Raiders maps; Frozen Trail, however, appears poised to get things back on track.

At least judging by the rail yard and central station locations, this map seems likely to emphasize the utilization of vertical space and the strategic use of cover, elements that have been somewhat lacking in the game's existing maps.

In fact, such intricate map design suggests that the interiors of these potential POIs will serve as excellent battlegrounds. They are likely to feature numerous nooks and rooms where ARC Raiders blueprints are hidden, making them highly valuable locations for farming resources.

Furthermore, that observatory is well worth keeping an eye on, as it is highly likely to be tied to the game's overarching backstory and may even serve as the catalyst for unlocking a new chapter in the main storyline.

New ARC enemies

Perhaps because there is already an abundance of small-to-medium-sized PvE enemies, ARC Raiders has recently shown a greater inclination toward introducing large-scale ARC units; the leaked content is no exception.

A potential new enemy slated for future inclusion in the game is known as Frigate. It is explicitly described as being designed based on the UFO prototype that appeared during Hurricane map condition introduced in Shrouded Sky update.

If you watched ARC Raiders trailers released during the first half of the year, you would have noticed that, starting with Shrouded Sky update, nearly every trailer featured a mysterious silhouette hovering overhead. This figure is very likely a reference to Frigate.

More specifically, Frigate appears set to be introduced as a live event, implying that it will not be a piece of standard content accessible at any time or location.

Opening a specific hatch may trigger Frigate's spawn; it would then proceed to patrol the map along a predetermined flight path, initiating a multi-stage boss battle.

Additionally, the leaked files contain data regarding various movement states, including a status labeled Anchored to Point. This suggests that at specific moments, Frigate may become locked in a fixed position.

When the time comes to board this frigate, you will naturally need to climb. Relying solely on the standard Snap Hook might prove somewhat precarious, suggesting that entirely new mechanics will probably be required to accomplish this task.

Interestingly, the files also make mention of a vehicle known as Frigate Taxi. This vehicle possesses its own independent movement and docking mechanics, and it is highly probable that this will be the designated method for boarding Frigate while it is in motion high above the ground.

Regardless of whether the content related to Frigate is ultimately implemented in the game, its operational mechanics certainly subvert existing concepts regarding ARC Raiders enemies and events, offering a highly novel and engaging gameplay experience.

New map events

As early as late 2025, rumors circulated that ARC Raiders would introduce a Toxic Swamp-themed map condition, though this feature never materialized at the time. However, it has resurfaced once again within the recently leaked files.

Other leaked map conditions include Acid Rain, Heatwave, Delayed Departure, and Tube Disruptions. It is not guaranteed that all of these will be implemented; even if they are all authentic, they would almost certainly be rolled out in batches over time.

Brand-new clan system

It is anticipated that this brand-new system will serve as ARC Raiders' unique faction mechanism, allowing you to choose from four distinct categories: PvP, PvE, quest-oriented, or any, and engage in in-game social interactions based on your selection.

Since the game's launch, there has always been an inherent tension between players seeking a purely PvE experience and those pursuing PvP combat.

This new system, built around the core principle of aligning players based on their preferred playstyle, holds the promise of finally achieving a harmonious balance.

Furthermore, the inclusion of the special "any" category ensures that even if you prefer not to explicitly align yourself with a specific side, you still have a dedicated neutral option available, thereby guaranteeing that the game's signature sandbox-style freedom remains fully intact.

The above constitutes our overview of the potential new content for ARC Raiders, based on recently leaked information.

We must reiterate that no one can say with absolute certainty whether these features will ultimately make it into the game, they certainly give us plenty of reason to look forward to ARC Raiders with renewed optimism!
