ACNH: Changes To Personality Types Of Villagers

Today, we’re jumping back to some Animal Crossing Lore, this time surrounding the Personality types of Villagers.
Now Animal Crossing New Horizons, and the past titles are full of interesting facts, back stories, and hidden details you may not know. For example, only Jock or Big Sister villagers can be your 2 starting Villagers in New Horizons, which I’m sure you knew, but did you know the next 3 are always Peppy, Normal and Lazy… in that order… It’s pretty interesting.
Speaking of Villager Personality types, there is another very interesting phenomenon that the Personality of several Animals has actually changed. It’s true, there are 18 Animal Crossing villagers, that at some point or another have had their Personalities switched to a different type. This typically occurs when a new Animal Crossing game is released…
With that out of the way, here is every Personality Change, in Animal Crossing.
I thought we’d highlight these as their new Personalities Types, and of course probably the ones you recognise them to be! So, what better place to start than Big Sister, given you will always encounter one, when you first start a new Island. There are six Big Sister Villagers in Animal Crossing. They are Sylvia, Ursula, Paula, Charlise, Plucky and Faith, and in previous games, their respective Personality Types are different.
The characters of Sylvia and Ursula have always been Snooty in the past. But when they returned to New Leaf, their personalities became Big Sister. Paula, Charlise and Plucky used to be Peppy, but again returned to New Leaf as Big Sister.
And Faith was originally a Normal Koala, and after being missing from several instalments of Animal Crossing, returned to New Horizons as Big Sister. We’ll discuss why these changes occurred towards the end of the article, but it’s not really surprising to know Big Sister Villagers saw some of the most changes, given it is the least common Personality Type.
Next up, we have Cranky Villagers. As far as I know, there are three villagers of this Personality Type. Likewise, their previous Personality Types were not like this. These include, Harry, T-Bone and Dobie.
Harry is the second Villager whose Personality has changed so far. He was a Jock Villager before. But after returning to Animal Crossing City Folk again, his Personality became Cranky. And T-Bone and Dobie were previously Lazy, before returning to New Leaf as Cranky. Until New Leaf, it wasn’t common to change Personality Types, but 3 Villagers do pre-date this game, with Harry being one of them.
Speaking of Personality Changes that pre-date modern Animal Crossing games, we have 1 Jock Villager. Although Rowan’s previous Personality Type was not what it is now, it is certain that he is now the only villager that has become a Jock.
Rowan once was a Cranky, but when he returned to Wild World, he was switched to Jock.
Furthermore, it’s not surprising to know only 1 Villager was changed to Jock, given Jock is the most common Personality Type.
Next up, we have Smug Villagers. In total, there are 7 Smug Villagers as you know them now, who started out with different Personalities, and they are O’Hare, Curlos, Ed, Leopold, Kidd, Huck and Roswell. By the way, you can decorate them with ACNH Items if you like.
O’Hare and Curlos debuted in Animal Crossing with the Cranky Personality Type, before returning to New Leaf as Smug. Ed and Leopold, were originally Jock, but once again returned to New Leaf as Smug. And Kidd, Huck and Roswell debuted as Lazy Villagers, before switching to Smug.
All of these Villagers saw Personality Changes in New Leaf, except for Roswell, who returned to New Horizons as a Smug, after being absent from the Series for several games.
Second to Big Sister, the Smug Personality Type is the least common, so it makes sense it saw some of the most changes. Snooty.
Now, Snooty is another Personality Type that only saw 1 change. Violet the Gorilla, who debuted in e+ is of course a Snooty Villager. However, she originally had the Peppy Personality Type, and it wasn’t until she returned to City Folk, she become Snooty.
Violet was only 1 of 2 Villagers to see a Personality Change in City Folk. Making her and Harry the joint-second Personality Changes, overall, after Rowan.
Now, in total there have been 18 Personality Changes over the years, with 1 in Wild World, 2 in City Folk, 8 in New Leaf, 5 in Welcome Amiibo and 2 in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Interestedly, as of editing this article, there isn’t a single Lazy, Normal or Peppy Villager right now that used to have a different personality types.
Now, there are 3 primary reasons for the changes that did happen, though. The first reason is that those who were originally Islanders became residents before appearing in future games.
The second reason is that the new Personality Types were filled after Smug and Big Sister were introduced in New Leaf. And the third being an attempt at balancing some of the Villager Types and Personality Types. To this day, Jock and Normal Villagers are the most common, and Smug and Big Sister are the least common.

Elder Scrolls Online: Is Hunters Glade Worth Buying? - A Full Review
Hunter's Glade is back again! From now until October 3rd, you can pick it up in the Crown Store for 8,000 crowns unfurnished, and 10,000 crowns for the furnished version.
For those who don’t know it, Hunter's Glade is a player manor and also a portal to the Hircine’s Hunting Grounds that can be found northeast of Riften. If you have lycanthropy, you can remain in werewolf form in this place indefinitely.
Hircine Statue & Is The Furnished Version Worth It?
The Hircine Statue (Statue of Hircine’s Bitter Mercy) is the most notable furnishing item, costing 2,500 crowns on its own, so if you want this statue it’ll save you a little bit of crowns.
But if not, it isn’t, in my opinion, worth the upgrade to the furnished version.
Size, Location & Furniture Limit
This is a notable home, located not far from the werewolf shrine in the Rift, with a furniture limit of 700 with ESO +, and 350 without.
When you initially enter the home, you’re in a foyer that has a portal to the glade and a small room down the stairs.
Noteworthy Features Of The Glade
There are no structures inside of the glade. It is only an open area, so there are tons of room to build.
The unfurnished version includes the glowing mushrooms. Everyone loves a good piece of glowing furniture. The sky is awesome, and there are beautiful waterfall views for miles all around the glade.
Infinite Werewolf Form!
Naturally, since this glade is dedicated to the lord of the hunt himself, if you’re a werewolf, you can transform to your beast form and indefinitely stay in it.
There isn’t anything to hunt here. But it is a neat feature you won’t find in any other house and makes for a quick way to run around when you’re decorating.
This is one house that is hard to beat. The fact that it doesn’t have structures could make you love it for its freedom or hate it for its lack of interior space.
But the furnishing limit for the price tag is a big positive. And even though this house is years old, it is still really visually stunning.
When this house initially released, players speculated it would cost 12-14K crowns or more. The 8K crown price tag is great by comparison.
Similar Cheaper Alternatives
However, if you want an open area to build in and the visuals don’t sell you, or you don’t like the Crown Store in general, your cheapest similar option is the Coldharbour Surreal Estate, which you can buy for 1 million ESO Gold instead.
Or, you could look at Moonsugar Meadow for 6,400 crowns, but it pails in comparison to this one when you’re still spending crowns.
If you’re looking to snag the Hunter’s Glade, or have been waiting for it to come back, remember to pick it up before it leaves the Crown Store on Oct 3rd. Or, you could be waiting another year or 2 before it cycles back again!
EA FC 24: 7 Things You Should Know Before You Play Career Mode!
I’ll be telling you about 7 things you should really know before you even play a minute of EA Sports FC 24.
1. You No Longer Have To Play Training Every Week!
The first thing I think you should really know is about youth development and how player training has changed for this game.
Last year, the biggest change was that you didn’t have to play training every week if you wanted your players to develop and this year. The biggest change is that you can now invest FC 24 Coins in coaches. The better the coaches, the faster your players will improve.
Of course, most people never used to train every single week. But this change is going to make things a lot more realistic and honestly give you another little FUT 24 Coins sink. So, you’re not gonna get these massive budgets in Career Mode anymore.
You can also switch between sharpness and fitness for every single player, which means that your reserves and substitutes won’t be useless for three games every single time you want to bring them back into the starting 11.
Training plans can be assigned either individually, so that’s per player or you can do it to groups of players, which includes the starting elevens substitutes and reserves, which makes this a way better solution to player development. And it’s a really good way of keeping players sharp even when you aren’t using them.
I haven’t actually played enough seasons in the beta to tell you if player development is overpowered this year. But usually, with changes like this, that will be quite overpowered for at least the first 2 games.
2. Try To Avoid Improving Too Fast
So, this also helps with a second thing you should know, which is to try and avoid improving too fast at the start of your career mode saves.
A career mode can be up to 15 Seasons long and there’s no point signing that for 75 rated Mexican free agent while you’re still in League 2, just to go unbeaten and have the Mexican guy score 55 goals. You should really take your time and try and enjoy the process of rising up the leagues, slowly strengthening your squads, and maybe adding challenges if you think the game is too easy or going down in difficulty if it’s getting too hard.
While you’re at it, I’d also recommend that you limit the amount of free agents you’re signing as well. Both of these things can really help you avoid improving too fast. And that will make the game a lot more challenging, a lot more fun, and you’ll be able to spend more seasons enjoying the team that you’ve built.
3. AI Can’t Build
While you’re talking about building a team, the AI still is really bad at doing this. I’ve played the beta quite a bit and so have a lot of people on our Discord. And we’ll all agree that the AI is still making the same mistakes when it comes to signing players.
You’ll see squads where they either have absolutely no one in a certain position or they’ll go out and sign 10 left backs. You can kind of fix this if you have a second controller or a keyboard if you’re playing on PC. You can switch the keyboard to be on the AI side. You can fix their team before the start of the match and then you can have a bit more fun playing against a functional squad.
Tactical Styles are a new thing on EA Sports FC and they kind of help with this because the AI is actually able to sign players that fit into their chosen tactics. I’ve seen some bizarre things on Career Mode over the years. I’ve seen a team with Giroud running in behind Ben Yedder as the target man.
Hopefully, the changes to Tactical Styles and Scouting will actually help the AI to be a bit more of a threat long term and give you a bit more of a challenging and dynamic opponent.
4. Set Objectives
So while we talk about tactical plans, you should also know that everyone enjoys Career Mode in their own way. So, before you actually open EA Sports FC 24 or even if you before you buy it, have a think about what you’d like to do during your first save.
Set yourself some goals and objectives, so you always have a target in mind. Otherwise, your save can get old pretty fast. Some of my favorite cremos over the past couple of years have been based around doing certain objectives. I have always given myself a specific challenge to try and beat. This can make the game fun even into Season 8 or Season 9.
So, if you’re using these and also using the new Tactical Styles to create a Tactical, you can easily use Moneyball thanks to the new scouting filters as well. If you combine the Tactical Styles with giving yourself certain objectives, either playing in a certain league, a certain team, or a certain style, then I think you’ve got that instant start of a really good and fun Career Mode.
5. There Isn’t A Huge Amount Of Randomness In Career Mode
You should also know that there isn’t actually a huge amount of randomness in Career Mode. Of course, they have added some new features, such as player interactions. So, most of the time, you will be managing a stable club.
Storylines are a great way of adding a bit of unpredictability to the game and there are tons of them out there. You can look at Instagram, Twitter and Reddit. If you just search in FIFA storylines, you’ll get a ton of different mini challenges that you can do.
There can be things like dropping a certain player or signing someone making someone captain, or maybe not playing someone for a certain amount of games for a certain reason. These mini scenarios really can add a bit of randomness and predictability into your save, which I think is actually a really cool idea.
6. Winning Isn’t Everything!
You should also know that winning isn’t everything. Career Mode can be more fun when you’re fighting for points rather than crushing every opponent’s six nil.
I always recommend you go into competitive leagues where you’ll have multiple teams fighting for titles or continental competitions, whereas leagues, like Scotland, have really only two horse races.
You can still have lots of fun in these leagues if you’re playing someone like Hearts, Hibs or Dundee, but if you can accept not winning the title for the first couple of years. You will have sort of an end boss there with Rangers and Celtic.
There’s a lot of very interesting leagues out there, which unfortunately aren’t the most competitive. Of course, you have friends, which is fun if you’re playing as anyone other than PSG. You also have Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
I’m sure some people would even say that England is now in a situation with Manchester City where there’s just one team that isn’t fun to play, while any of the other teams are actually a lot more fun. This is just because you won’t be winning every single match.
I’ve had loads of fun saves with teams where I’ve tried to qualify for Europe with bad teams. Even a 7th placed finish can be fun if you pick the right team and the right challenge. I’d recommend doing something like turning the difficulty one level up, picking Luton, and seeing if you can actually manage to survive.
While some of the games at the start might be a bit of a blowout, you might be losing six or seven nil. If you do it throughout an entire season, the games where you do manage to fluke a one-nil win. They will mean a lot to you and it’ll just be a really satisfying career.
7. Try Create A Club
The last tip we have is that create a lub is probably one of the most underrated ways of giving career mode a breath of fresh air.
For sure, check out some real teams in your first few saves on the game. But the real fun comes from creating abandoned, forgotten, or now different teams that will never be on FIFA again.
Over the past couple of years, I recommended a team for every single league, using the FIFA 22 and FIFA 23 Create A Club system. While there are a few changes now, I think some of the kits now have sponsors and there’s maybe a few more stadiums first pick.
Once you start getting bored with career mode on EA Sports FC 24, I really do recommend you give Create A Club a go!
Dark And Darker: How To Farm Mystical Gem In High Roller Goblin Cave?
I believe many players embark on a thrilling adventure in the world of Dark and Darker just to explore the mysterious realm of Mystical Gem. Mystical Gem contains countless treasures and secrets in the game. In this guide, we’ll unravel the journey to get Mystical Gem, reveal its connection to the hidden room within High Roller Goblin Cave, and provide unique insights into exploring this new realm.
How To Find Mystical Gem?
A recent update to Mystical Gem added rare and valuable items in Dark and Darker. To get this gem, you need to pay attention to the following aspects.
First, you need to pay close attention to Dark and Darker’s official communication channels. Developers frequently provide information about updates, patches, and new projects. Here, they will add High Roller elite enemies. Kill them for a chance to drop a Mystical Gem.
But we should note that this does not mean that you will definitely get Mystical Gem just by killing them. It just has a certain chance of falling. So, you need to keep engaging in battles and keep farming until you are lucky enough to get Mystical Gem.
When this Mystical Gem successfully drops, approach it and pick it up. Don’t let your guard down and be careful at all times to avoid other players taking away your Mystical Gem.
How To Use Mystical Gem?
The real magic of Mystical Gem lies in its uses. It will help you discover a hidden secret and gain access to a special area.
First, before we can use Mystical Gem, we need to find the secret room. This secret room is located in the lower left corner of High Roller Goblin Cave. You can see its location on the mini-map on your screen.
After you find the secret room, you’ll notice that there are slots where you can place Mystical Gem. We can insert gems after you interact with the socket.
After inserting the gem, a secret passage will open. It gives you access to previously hidden areas. Go through the newly opened door to explore further.
Within this hidden area, you may find an abundance of Dark and Darker Gold and loot. Search around carefully and collect the rewards that await you. Don’t forget to always be prepared to face enemies or puzzle challenges while exploring.
Tips & Tricks
Finally, I’ll also tell you some tips and strategies to help you maximize the utility of your Mystical Gem.
Because Mystical Gem has a low chance of dropping, be prepared for farming. You need to prepare enough resources, potions, and equipment in advance to take part in the battle and knock down the cave elites as many times as necessary.
Once you enter a hidden room, you may notice that the loot is of better quality. Carrying a Potion of Luck may double your loot gains.
If you plan on spending time farming or exploring the hidden areas here, make sure you have plenty of healing items and potions. Because the enemies in this area tend to be very challenging. You may also encounter powerful enemies like a Wizard. Therefore, I recommend you evaluate your odds before engaging and always have an escape plan.
Of course, every attempt will be different. You need to learn from each experience to help you refine your strategy and make future attempts more successful.
Overall, I hope this guide gave you a clear idea of how to get and use Mystical Gem. This gem adds an exciting layer of mystery to the player's journey of discovery. It also provides us with valuable rewards and the opportunity to discover hidden secrets. Please be prepared for a variety of challenges and surprises as you embark on this mission. Good luck!
Path Of Exile 3.22: COC Tornado Shot Ice Spear Deadeye Build Overview
Today’s build is the destructive Cast on Critical Tornado Shot Ice Spear Deadeye with the Ranger class.
This build combines all the power of a Cast on Critical build with this safety of a ranged attack. It has an amazing clear speed, and it’s capable of a huge boss damage.
These are all the pros of this build:
- Satisfying clear speed with explosions
- Awesome boss damage
- Instant leech
- Very tanky
- Super fast
- Amazing map farmer
- High armour and evasion
- High chance to suppress spell damage
I would start with this amazing clear speed you’re seeing. Look how satisfying it is to catch so many Ice Spears from our Tornado Shot projectiles.
I assure you that you will love clearing maps with this beauty. This character is awesome for bosses as well. It deals a lot of single target damage even from a great distance. Above all, it’s also very safe to play. You kill monsters and map bosses from afar, keeping them frozen into place. And for those bosses that are immune to freeze, you can also keep a safe distance and destroy them, anyway.
If by any means they manage to reach you, you still have over 90% chance to evade attacks, and a high chance to suppress spell damage and high armour.
- Many mandatory items
- Hard to build
Now, to visit the cons, I’d start saying that this build isn’t for everyone. You need a lot of POE Currency to put it together.
Another issue is that it isn’t easy to build because it needs many specific rare POE Items.
As for budget, this build will need at least 15 Divine Orbs to put together.
As I said, it’s an expensive one. Don’t forget it on poebuilds.net, you can find a list with all the equipment that you need to buy for this build with direct links for examples being sold by other players.
You need three military unique items for this build.
The first one is the Asenath’s Mark helmet that triggers socketed skills when you attack. This grants even more Ice Spears.
We also need the Maloney’s Mechanism. This one is the only quiver that has sockets. We are going to use those extra sockets to debuff bosses for a lot more damage.
Finally, we also need two Intuitive Leap unique jewels to save many points in our passive tree.
For clear speed, this one is surely a 10 out of 10.
Playing with this build is not only fast but also extremely satisfying.
The boss damage also deserves 10 out of 10.
You end up casting many Ice Spears and all of them can hit the target, causing an incredible shotgun effect.
For this survivability, I’ll give it 9 out of 10.
This build can do everything from a safe distance. It freezes enemies. It has a huge amount of evasion armor and spell suppression. It will be hard to die if you always mind your position on Guardians and Pinnacle bosses.
Elder Scrolls Online: Thoughts On The New Group Finder In Update 40
Today I want to talk about the new New Group Finder in Elder Scrolls Online Update 40. Update 40 is ESO’s last content update this year. With it, the developers bring the series into a rich multiplayer environment.
And the upcoming Update 40 will simplify some of the biggest balance hurdles and introduce some much-needed quality of life changes. One of them is the new Group Finder.
New Group Finder
If you regularly team up with other adventurers. The new Group Finder allows you to create parties for almost any group activity in ESO. This includes Dungeons, Arenas, and the upcoming Endless Archive Trials PVP and more. We will finally be able to get the new Group Finder tool in Trials.
I know more people have been wanting Group Finder to be available in Trials for a long time. So this new Group Finder tool seems to be very helpful for the development of Endless Archive.
Group Finder Advantages
The new Group Finder lets you organize raid parties, or easily farm for ESO Gold without being restricted by your guild members. You can queue up to join a public group to add other players to your party who are looking for a specific target of your choice. Or you can create your own and hand-pick your team.
You can make a list to find players to fill out your existing team. Even starting as a single player, you can create a group and set the parameters for what you want to find. Or you can search for a group that already exists and wants to do the same thing as you.
The new tool also allows you to adjust the criteria for group membership and the conditions they must meet. It explains things like a player’s Champion Points level, whether they use in-game voice chat, their play style and desired team character composition. So this will give you the option to really build your team based on whether you’re a Hardcore player or not.
Whether you're someone who likes to hang out and have a delightful conversation with people, or you want to do some harder content and you want some excellent players with a higher CP. You can set parameter criteria for this new Group Finder tool in many ways.
Plus, teaming up with other adventurers should be easier than ever using the new Group Finder. I think many people saw this and were really excited about it. Because Group Finder in the game has needed to be updated for a long time.
Group Finder Disadvantages
However, this new Group Finder will also bring some problems. Now, if you were to split, you would know the drawbacks of these different groups.
Let’s say if you start Endless Archive Trials PVP between Dungeons and Arenas and create a custom group. You can further split it into different groups such as player CP level, in-game voice chat, game style, group composition. This shrinks the pool further, causing the game to take longer to search for players.
Considering each one might have a different parameter set, you’re now spending more time queuing for tank heals or DPS. This takes a long time, especially as a DPS.
But if you want to meet a specific group, you can add another layer to filter out certain content you know the parameters for. Hopefully, this doesn’t really slow down the process.
However, I'm guessing there may be other uses for Group Finder. Because if more people are using it in Dungeons and Trials, they will probably use it in PVP and Endless Archive. But whether it will fill up a certain player pool more than other mechanics remains to be seen.
But I think overall this is definitely a significant upgrade compared to Group Finder we’ve had over the past few years. Just hope it doesn’t slow down our queue time. Anyway, let’s look forward to its arrival!
