Diablo 4 Season 11 Sanctification & Defense Reworks | Tempering & Masterworking Changes
Diablo 4 Season 11, Season of Divine Intervention, has been postponed from the previously speculated December 9th to December 11th, specifically at 8:30 PM Pacific Standard Time, unlike the usual 10:00 AM start time.
Season 11 differs significantly from PTR 2.5.0, including a large amount of new content, system rework, and balance adjustments. However, the core theme is a slower overall game pace, increased difficulty, and a general nerf to build strength compared to Season 10.
In PTR, players were generally dissatisfied with changes to crafting aspects such as Sanctification system and Masterworking, and the official response was that these would be adjusted. These changes are now live in Season 11 release. Let's take a look at the specific changes.

Sanctification System
Sanctification is a new seasonal mechanic introduced in Diablo IV Season 11. The development team seemed to have considered making it a permanent system, but recent campfire chat hints that it might not be.
Veteran ARPG players will recognize that this system's core concept originates from similar systems in other ARPGs, such as Vaal orbs in Path of Exile and Worldstone Shards in Diablo 2 mod.
Essentially, it's a gambling mechanic with gear. Players can potentially gain powerful buffs to a piece of gear or brick it. Based on strong feedback from the player community, the development team made two key changes to Sanctification mechanic.
Removing Negative Effects On Specific Gear
In PTR, Sanctification could replace an affix on gear. While the new affix might be powerful, it could also brick the gear by replacing Greater Affix on Uniques and Mythic Unique items.
The current official solution prevents the attributes of Unique and Mythic Unique gear from being replaced. This means that the risk of destruction for top-tier gear, which is of greatest concern to most players, is no longer present. This negative effect may only exist on Legendary gear, and its impact is significantly reduced.
Changing No-effect Outcome Result
In PTR, there was approximately a 20% chance that sanctification would result in no change, meaning the equipment neither improved nor damaged. In Season 11 live servers, this 20% probability has been replaced with an increase in equipment quality.
This effect works in conjunction with Masterworking system, as Masterworking can increase equipment quality by up to 25%, with each 1% quality increase boosting all equipment stats by 1%. Sanctification now directly increases equipment quality by 5% to 25%, improving base stats such as armor, resistances, weapon damage, and the values of all affixes, tempers, and mythic equipment stats.
Sanctification Probabilities
Based on official information and player testing results in PTR, the possible results and approximate probability distribution of sanctification are as follows:
10% probability: Replace an affix
- Approximately 15% probability: Add a new power.
- Approximately 20% probability: Add a more powerful affix.
- Approximately 30-35% chance: Adds a random powerful affix.
- Approximately 10-15% chance: Improves equipment quality.
According to Diablo 4 community manager, the new Might pool contains some incredibly powerful options, and the affixes added by Sanctification come from a specific pool of powerful affixes, which may include:
- Cooldown reduction
- Attack speed
- +2 to all skills on jewelry
- Doubling the strength of gems
- Percentage core stats
- Total resistance
- Crit chance
- Movement speed
- Lucky chance
- Resource cost reduction
- Maximum resource
- Maximum life
Defense System Overhaul
Diablo 4 has made many changes to the defense system, including a rework of Fortify and Toughness system.
Fortify Reworked
Diablo 4 Season 11 introduced a new attribute, Fortify. It has also been reworked in the live servers of Season 11. It no longer directly provides damage reduction. The new mechanism is: when you take damage, Fortify points are converted into health regeneration, essentially a second health bar.
Fortify can coexist with Barrier, but they function differently: Barrier adds a shield to health, while Fortify quickly regenerates health after it is depleted.
New Defense System
Season 11 introduced a completely new Resistance and Armor system, but the specific workings (such as the cap) are somewhat unclear.
Additionally, UI displays a comprehensive Toughness value as a reference for survivability at each difficulty level, but you shouldn't blindly rely on this value. You must balance improving all resistances; otherwise, too low a single resistance can still lead to instant death.
Intelligence class can equip Skulls gems. For non-Intelligence classes, if the primary attribute is Armor, socket Diamonds to increase all resistances.
Affix Updates
Rings and gloves will have new affixes such as life on hit and coldown reduction, and Life on hit will be a crucial survival affix.
Crafting Changes
Tempering System
Tempering changes are consistent with PTR, and each item can now only be tempered once. As compensation, Diablo 4 items will drop with an additional base affix. While player control over affixes is reduced, the total number of affixes remains unchanged.
Masterworking Upgrade Rework
Masterworking has received some adjustments compared to PTR. Its maximum level has been increased from 12 to 25. While the increase per level is smaller, the cumulative increase may be greater, perhaps providing a 50% increase in base stats. Furthermore, there is now a chance to critically strike upon upgrading, resulting in an even greater boost.
Potion System Changes
Basic potions can no longer be upgraded, and players will only have four basic potions. As compensation, your character will automatically replenish one potion every 30 seconds to cope with prolonged battles.
These are the main changes to crafting and items in Diablo 4 Season 11 live server. Compared to PTR, it restores the strength of builds, preventing players from struggling this season.

Diablo 4 Season 11 Sorcerer Builds With Orsivane | Why Removing Defensive Skills Makes You Stronger?
For years, influenced by Diablo 4's game mechanics, players have consistently created character builds that develop in different directions by combining skills with suitable equipment. Based on this, players can make subtle adjustments to make the build they use more in line with their own ideas, thus presenting a lot of unique content.
However, the introduction of a special item in Diablo 4 Season 11 offers players some new inspiration, potentially adding something new to Sorcerer builds. It makes players realize that instead of focusing solely on stacking skills, strategically sacrificing some skills can unlock tremendous potential.

This article will delve into why certain previously popular skills should be abandoned, the powerful impact of the new Unique Orsivane, and introduce some top-tier Sorcerer builds that maximize the potential of this unique weapon.
Removing Defensive Skills
Traditionally, because Sorcerers are considered very fragile characters, players often need to unlock some defensive skills to gain sufficient survivability if they want to maintain their damage output on the battlefield for a longer period rather than being eliminated prematurely.
Their survival on the battlefield often depends on a range of defensive skills: Flame Shield, Frost Nova, Ice Armor, and Teleport. These skills are commonly used by Sorcerers, providing crucial barriers, crowd control, and mobility.
All these factors make removing defensive skills sound like a crazy decision. But listen, this recommendation isn't blind.
We suggest that the best development path for a Sorcerer build in Diablo 4 Season 11 is to completely abandon defensive skills. This doesn't mean the character will completely expose their weaknesses, but rather that using these skills isn't the optimal option given the alternative builds available.
It's the continued presence of these skills in the skill bar that limits their potential in Diablo 4 Season 11.
After seeing the effects of the new Ancestral Unique Mace Orsivane introduced in Season 11, you'll understand why we say this.
Orsivane's Unique Effect
In Season 11, we recommend that players using a Sorcerer build forgo the security provided by defensive skills and instead adopt a high-risk, high-reward approach. This revolutionary shift stems from the newly introduced Ancestral Unique Mace Orsivane.
Orsivane provides players with excellent attribute bonuses. Not only does it offer significantly faster attack speed, but it also increases the character's Intelligence, Core Skills level, Non-Physical Damage, and Maximum Life.
More importantly, when you equip this item on a Sorcerer, every defensive skill not in the action bar will increase the character's damage by a certain percentage. Simultaneously, you will also receive the corresponding Enchantment effect for that skill.
This means that even if Sorcerer doesn't use any defensive skills in the skill bar, they can still achieve a substantial damage multiplier increase in Diablo 4 Season 11.
Furthermore, players no longer need to consider casting skills during combat and will automatically gain the passive enchantment effects of these skills:
- Flame Shield Enchantment: Automatically activates when the character receives fatal damage within 2 seconds.
- Frost Nova Enchantment: Conjuration Skills have a 35% chance to trigger Frost Nova upon hitting an enemy.
- Ice Armor Enchantment: Has a chance to gain Ice Armor when attacked.
- Teleport Enchantment: Replaces the standard Evade skill with short-range Teleport. Note that you will not gain Unstoppable effect during this process.
This will give players fully automatic defensive effects and attack bonuses during combat, fundamentally changing the class's combat rhythm in Diablo 4 Season 11. The freed-up skill slots can be used entirely for attack and support skills, further increasing damage.
Recommended Best Builds For Orsivane
Orsivane is a Sorcerer-specific one-handed mace that can be combined with other weapons to create synergies and maximize its power. Below are our recommendations for ideal Sorcerer builds using this weapon.
Ball Lightning Sorcerer Build
In our opinion, Ball Lightning Sorcerer build is the perfect way to utilize Orsivane in D4 S11. The Orsivane's base damage multiplier significantly boosts the power of Ball Lightning skill.
Furthermore, pairing this one-handed mace with Okun's Catalyst creates devastating area-of-effect damage. Ball Lightning spins around the character, damaging surrounding enemies while also granting the player Unhindered effect, perfectly compensating for the need for safety in melee combat.
Crackling Energy Sorcerer Build
This build benefits perfectly from the automatic Frost Nova Enchantment. This enchantment provides additional crowd control, triggered by summoning skills, helping Sorcerer stun groups of enemies and safely unleash barrages of energy. Orsivane's damage bonus further amplifies this effect.
Ice Shards Sorcerer Build
Frost Nova generated by the enchantment, combined with the significant damage boost from Orsivane, allows Sorcerer to adopt a more aggressive playstyle. This build allows players to focus on unleashing numerous Ice Shards in Diablo 4 Season 11, while the auto-cast Flame Shield provides crucial safety.
After reading this introduction, you're sure to be tempted by these powerful builds. If you've decided to try these builds in the game, consider stocking up on Diablo 4 gold beforehand. With sufficient resources, you'll complete a high-level build faster than other players.
The introduction of Orsivane in Diablo 4 Season 11 has given Sorcerer builds new inspiration. This new playstyle sacrifices the safety of using defensive skills, but players gain incredible attack power and passive defensive capabilities.
With the arrival of the new season, and the addition of this Unique item, builds likes Ball Lightning Sorcerer build, which utilize damage multipliers and ideal equipment combinations, will exhibit a very powerful offensive in the game.

ARC Raiders Leaper Kill Guide: How To Defeat It At Spaceport Bunker?
When looting or completing missions in ARC Raiders, you must be wary not only of other players who might try to steal your loot, but also of the existing ARC enemies who may attack at any moment.
Among the various ARC, the Leaper is an agile spider-like beast capable of leaping into combat and inflicting devastating damage. They frequently appear in high-risk areas, primarily to guard important objectives.

Players will inevitably encounter them while searching for rarer loot. Into the Fray mission and weekly Trials also require players to eliminate or damage Leapers.
Furthermore, defeating a Leaper will drop ARC Raiders items, such as Leaper Pulse Unit, currently essential for Expedition Project Phase 4. Therefore, it's crucial to know how to easily defeat it in the game, rather than getting bogged down by it.
While Leapers look intimidating, they aren't the most difficult ARC enemies in the game. Forums have revealed their weaknesses, such as avoiding close-quarters combat and focusing on their leg joints-key to defeating them.
If you've also struggled with their presence in the game, then read on. I'll tell you the fastest way to kill Leapers, whether you're playing solo or in a team.
Location
After extensive testing in the game, we've found Spaceport to be the best location. The only downside is its open terrain, meaning you're likely to encounter other players besides Leapers, who might also attack you. However, this isn't unusual; it happens frequently in the game, so just be careful.
Specifically, it's located in the center of the map, near Central Elevator. There's a bunker northeast of the elevator, sandwiched between the elevator and South Trench Tower. This bunker is excellent for defending against sudden Leaper attacks because its entrance is sealed.
It's worth noting that if you arrive here but don't see the option to break in, be careful; another player has likely entered. Be cautious.
Leapers cannot enter the bunker, so when one attacks, keeping a distance from the window will almost eliminate damage. Focus on taking out the Leaper's allies first.
The area near the elevator is a common Leaper spawn point, but sometimes they'll also be on the other side of Launch Tower. In this case, you can try luring a Leaper to the bunker area, but this is risky as there's a short distance between the two locations.
So, if there are no Leapers near the bunker, loot other items and try reloading the map to see if they spawn.
Step By Step
1. Arm Yourself And Fortify The Bunker
All guns with Heavy Ammo can deal significant damage to Leapers, such as a max-level Anvil or Bettina. Therefore, ensure you have enough Ammo. Ammo generally spawns throughout the map, or can be found on stunned Raiders and destroyed ARC.
You can also use Hullcracke, but it's relatively rare, and its powerful attack should be saved for later against stronger enemies.
Throwable explosives are also useful, such as Grenades, but be very careful when using them. Since we're attacking from inside the bunker, if you miss and it bounces back into the bunker, you're in trouble.
In addition, the following items can help you deal with Leapers more effectively:
- Barricade Kit: provides cover and blocks 500 damage until broken;
- Door Blocker: can be installed on doors to prevent them from being opened;
- Traps and mines: Blaze Grenade Traps, Jolt Mines, etc;
- Lure Grenade: can attract ARC's attention and divert fire.
Although Leapers can't enter the bunker, other players can, so you need to prepare in advance and use the tools mentioned above to prevent other players from entering, otherwise you'll be attacked from both sides.
We recommend entering through the west door. Once inside, use Door Blocker to block the door, as the east door is more difficult to access, so try to avoid creating unnecessary trouble.
Make full use of your Traps, mines, and Barricade Kits. These will help you defend against enemies and other players, but be careful not to accidentally injure yourself.
2. Lure Leaper And Attack
After fortifying the bunker, you should be able to see Leapers outside. Usually, one will patrol nearby. If you don't see one, reload until you encounter one.
Then you can shoot at it to lure it in. It will then attack you. Since it can't enter the bunker, don't panic. However, remember to pay attention to its movements. Leapers like to charge up their attacks. Once you notice it charging, move away from the window immediately.
Prioritize attacking its eyes, as they are its weak points. If you have teammates, that's even better; strong firepower will make things much easier. If you don't have teammates, it's okay, but if you're alone, bring enough Ammo.
However, don't just defend without retaliating. Leaper isn't completely stupid; if it fires enough attacks and you don't retaliate, it will leave. At this point, you can fire another shot at it, causing it to become enraged again and try to enter the window, but it won't be able to.
At this point, increase your firepower until you destroy it.
3. Loot And Escape Quickly
Such a large-scale battle will easily attract nearby players, who might ambush you and enjoy your hard-earned loot. Therefore, you need to quickly loot the dropped items and then quickly escape.
Except during Night Raid when you can only leave via the elevator, it's recommended to use Raider Hatch Key to escape from another location, thus avoiding dealing with players near the elevator.
If you want to eliminate Leaper to complete the weekly mission, you can choose to do so during Night Raid or Electromagnetic Storm, which will give you double challenge points. If your goal is simply to collect loot, try to avoid activating Electromagnetic Storm, as you risk being struck by lightning while looting.
Leapers spawn on many maps in ARC Raiders, but Spaceport bunker is the best choice, offering both protection and easy Leaper kills. Give this method a try, and good luck with your hunt!

ARC Raiders Map Conditions Guide | How To Utilize Them To Earn More Loot?
For most shooter games, maps are one of the effective elements that can continuously add freshness to the game. Different terrains and buildings mean you can break away from conventional tactics and try new combat strategies.
The recently popular extraction shooter game ARC Raiders also fully adheres to this principle, launching with five maps (although one of them is a training ground), and quickly adding a sixth map, Stella Montis, through patch 1.2.0.
Interestingly, the developers have also fully utilized their creativity, adding more fun and challenges to ARC Raiders in the form of special map conditions without adding new maps! Next, we will introduce these conditions and how they work.

Map Conditions Overview
All conditions are divided into two categories. One type is attached to each map, allowing you to experience them directly, and they rotate regularly to constantly change the gameplay in specific areas of the map, or increase the number of obtainable ARC Raiders items.
The other type is more like a special event, requiring you to queue up separately to enter, similar to playing dungeons in an MMORPG. These events are usually more challenging but will help you earn more points for weekly trials in addition to loot.
It should be noted that conditions are just one way to enrich map gameplay; the game will still regularly add new maps. Of course, the conditions will also be continuously updated.
Condition 1: Prospecting Probes
We will introduce the currently available map conditions in ARC Raiders in order from easiest to most difficult. As the simplest event, Prospecting Probes condition increases the number of ARC Probes and Couriers that appear on the current map.
They are essentially devices that, once found, provide you with specific loot, such as alloy, circuitry, or motion cores, which you can use to craft more advanced items in the workshop.
Probes look like missiles and constantly emit a sound, while Couriers are more square-shaped. Both are marked by emitting black smoke so you can identify them.
In short, Prospecting Probes is almost purely a beneficial condition; the only thing you need to watch out for is other players competing with you for the devices.
Condition 2: Husk Graveyard
This condition generates more Baron Husks on the map for you to loot - although the name sounds mysterious, it's actually just a type of abandoned device from which you can find valuable loot.
It's worth noting that finding Baron Husks and the two devices mentioned in Condition 1 will help you complete the corresponding main quests in the game. Therefore, even looted devices may still be valuable.
Condition 3: Uncovered Caches
If you hear a ticking sound coming from under a building while searching for loot, it means you've triggered this condition. You can follow the sound to find containers hidden with a large amount of loot - the closer you get, the louder the sound.
However, be aware that if you don't find and open these containers in time, they will explode after a certain period. So if you trigger Uncovered Caches, it's best to act immediately.
Condition 4: Lush Blooms
This event creates a rare pastoral atmosphere in the post-apocalyptic world of ARC Raiders, allowing you to find more natural resources such as fruits and vegetables on the map, or Bountiful Baskets containing these resources.
These materials can be used to upgrade your mechanical rooster, Scrappy. This assistant can generate extra resources for you based on your combat results and time; the higher the level, the faster it generates resources.
Condition 5: Launch Tower Loot
This condition mainly applies to Spaceport map and requires you to manually trigger it by finding any fuel cell and placing it in the generator under the main tower. After triggering it, you will encounter more ARC enemies in Spaceport.
Based on the above characteristics, we recommend that you team up with other players and bring enough ammunition and heavy weapons to ensure your survival.
Condition 6: Hidden Bunker
This event is somewhat similar to the previous one in its mechanics. You need to activate four antennas scattered in the four corners of the map to enter Hidden Bunker and start looting successfully.
After activating each one, you need to defeat several robot enemies until all four objectives are completed. Therefore, the best solution is still to work together with teammates to improve efficiency.
Condition 7: Harvester Event
This event centers around ARC enemy, Queen, and Harvester it guards. Harvester itself is a building that will spawn in an open area on the map, and you can enter through any of the three entrances.
Although Harvester has a lot of good loot, the building itself spews fire, so you must periodically go outside to avoid it until the flames disappear.
The most challenging part outside the building is Queen and some Rocketeer enemies. The latter is easier to kill, while the former is more challenging, but the game doesn't force you to kill it, so you can choose to avoid it.
Condition 8: Night Raid
This event, and Condition 9, which will be introduced later, both require separate entry. They alternate with the regular maps in the game. Night Raid features more ARC enemies, fewer extraction points, and rarer loot.
Therefore, although this event allows you to use stealth and a flashlight for defense, its overall danger level is still very high. Do not venture into it unprepared.
Condition 9: Electromagnetic Storm
This event operates similarly to Night Raid, but it also adds periodic lightning strikes to the map, posing a danger to you. Interestingly, the lightning doesn't belong to any faction; it attacks ARC robots as well, so you can use this to your advantage in combat.
To avoid or utilize these lightning strikes, you can observe the premonitory signs of their attack locations, as long as you are able to move.
The above are all the map conditions currently available in ARC Raiders. It is expected that after Cold Snap update, scheduled for some time in December, Snowfall will be added as the tenth condition.
This condition will introduce a dynamic weather system to the game, such as blizzards, increasing the difficulty of exploration and combat on various maps by affecting visibility. It's something to look forward to!
We hope this information is helpful to you in playing ARC Raiders. Thank you for reading.

Grow A Garden Crop Mutation Guide | How To Get Best Mutations And Multipliers?
Mutations, a crucial mechanic in Grow a Garden, help you accumulate more capital, allowing you to acquire desired seeds, pets, and more faster. Countless players yearn to collect more Mutations in the game, bringing a unique look to their farms.
Mutations can be broadly categorized into pet mutations and crop mutations. In GAG, Crop Mutations are the core of increasing profits.

By transforming ordinary crops into rare variants, you can obtain returns several times or even hundreds of times greater. Mastering Crop Mutations mechanic will allow you to quickly accumulate capital before the update and exchange for your desired items.
What Are Crop Mutations?
Crop Mutations mechanic brings a more interesting setting to the game, offering players unique gameplay content. It manifests in two aspects: its intrinsic value and its appearance.
Because crops change because of specific conditions during their growth, mutated crops not only have a unique appearance, but their selling price is multiplied by a specific factor, making them key to players obtaining substantial profits.
The following are the factors affecting crop selling price:
- Weight
- Base Value
- Base Weight
- Variants
The final selling price is the result of multiplying the crop value by the mutation multiplier. Calculating crop value and the total mutation multiplier requires complex calculations. Specifically:
Crop Value: The square of the ratio of Weight to Base Weight, multiplied by the crop's Base Value.
Mutation Multiplier: First, sum Sheckles Multipliers from all mutations, then subtract the number of all mutation types. Note that an extra 1 needs to be added in this step. After calculating the result, multiply it by the corresponding multiplier for each variant to obtain the current mutation multiplier.
Different levels of variants will provide different multiplier bonuses:
- None and Ripe provide a multiplier of 1.
- Silver provides a multiplier of 5.
- Gold provides a multiplier of 20.
- Rainbow provides a multiplier of 50.
These calculations may seem complex, but with time, you'll eventually master them.
Best Crop Mutations
GAG features a wide variety of crop mutations. Besides their individual effects, they can also produce special reactions, granting unique bonuses and mutations during seed growth. Below are what I consider the best crop mutations in the game.
Celestial
- Value Multiplier: ×120
- Trigger Condition: Meteor Shower Weather Event
- Strategy Suggestion: Watch out for meteor showers at night and plant valuable crops densely in advance.
Shocked
- Value Multiplier: ×100
- Trigger Condition: Crops are struck by lightning during thunderstorms
- Strategy Suggestion: Spread out high-value crops during thunderstorms to increase the chance of them being struck.
Paradisal
- Value Multiplier: ×100
- Trigger Condition: During Solar Flare
- Strategy Suggestion: Plant the target crop before the game update for a chance to trigger this special weather event during this period.
Ancient Amber
- Value Multiplier: ×50
- Trigger Condition: Automatically evolves from an Amber mutation over time.
- Strategy Suggestion: After obtaining the basic Amber mutation, do not harvest crops immediately; wait for it to develop into Ancient Amber.
Although some mutations have a very low probability of appearing, obtaining them will provide you with extraordinary bonuses.
How To Obtain High-Multiplier Mutations?
Obtaining high-multiplier mutations requires strategy and preparation. Here are some methods for your reference.
Basic Preparation
Having a solid foundation will lay the groundwork for various activities later. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you improve your basic efficiency before pursuing mutations.
You can use Grow a Garden items like Super Watering Can to improve game efficiency and help you complete the initial construction as soon as possible.
Mastering The Methods
Understanding some available methods can yield twice the results with half the effort, saving you time and achieving superior outcomes:
Pay attention to weather and events: High-multiplier mutations like Shocked and Celestial rely on specific weather conditions. Keep an eye on in-game weather changes; they might appear any second.
Participate in limited-time events: Many events have previously offered players the chance to obtain rare mutations, such as Prehistoric Event introducing the special Amber mutation. Timely participation is the best way to acquire rare mutations.
Utilize Combinations And Planning
If you're already an experienced player, consider the following advanced strategies to quickly accumulate capital:
- Plan mutation combinations: Combine stackable mutations within known rules.
- Utilize community tools: Player-created tools can easily calculate the final value of different crop and mutation combinations, helping you make optimal decisions.
Wait patiently for evolution: For evolvable mutations like Amber, don't rush to harvest crops. Continue waiting for it to evolve into a more valuable mutation.
What Effect Do Pets Have?
Compared to environmental events, which, while having higher multipliers, are more random, the effects of pets, though less pronounced, are still worth considering.
Below are some of the effects of Grow a Garden pets:
- Polar Bear: Every 90 seconds, there is a 10% chance to inflict Chilled or Frozen status on crops.
- Dragonfly: Increases the chance of fruit reaching Gold level.
- Firefly: Has a small chance of causing hit fruit to mutate into Shocked mutation.
Combining the effects of pets with the random mutations that appear in the game, you will discover a wide variety of crop mutations, bringing you a surprising and fun gaming experience.
In short, to get rich in Grow a Garden, you need to pay attention to the effects of multiple factors.
By utilizing weather bonuses, participating in various limited-time events, cleverly combining mutation effects, and pairing them with the right pets, you can quickly accumulate considerable wealth in the game.

Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0 New Druid Class Ultimate Overview | Skills, Powers And Ascendancy Classes Explained
Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0 is almost here. The livestream and announcement have also been released, meaning you can now learn about all the content and changes in this patch and have about a week to prepare for it!
Undoubtedly, the most anticipated feature, both before and after the livestream, is the new Druid class. Previously, we could only speculate based on short trailers, but now we can finally see the full picture!
Based on this, we will now provide you with the most complete ultimate overview of Druid based on the livestream and announcement.

Patch 0.4.0 New Content Summary
First of all, in addition to Druid and its Ascendancy class, this patch also introduces the new Fate of the Vaal League to POE 2, meaning you will need to farm currency and passive tree points from scratch. Other new content mainly includes:
- More skill gems and support gems
- New Lineage Supports
- More new passive skills added to the passive tree
- New Unique Items
- New weapon type Talismans
- New Augment items with new modifiers
- Abyss from the previous league is retained as a core mechanic
In addition to the above, Patch 0.4.0 also brings many changes based on existing mechanics, as well as optimizations for game performance, aiming to present you with a better Path of Exile 2.
PoE 2 Druid Overview
As the second new class to appear in the entire Path of Exile 2 (the first being Huntress), Druid primarily uses elemental spell-casting as its main attack method and has three transformation forms: bear, wolf, and wyvern.
The first two forms have actually been circulating in the player community through leaked information for a long time, while the wyvern was speculated based on the silhouette in the trailer, and now it's finally here!
Source Of Power: Wrath Of Nature
Before introducing the three transformation forms, you first need to know Druid's main output method. In its regular human form, it can use skills with different attributes through Wrath of Nature, dealing damage to enemies through natural forces such as plants or lightning.
These skills mainly include:
- Volcano: Creates a small volcano on the ground that spews lava balls at enemies for a period of time.
- Entangle: Summons plant vines to entangle enemies, dealing damage and slowing them down.
- Thunderstorm: Summons a thunderstorm, causing rain and lightning in the area. Affected enemies are more susceptible to electrical or ice damage, and it also makes plants summoned by Entangle grow faster.
Spell Totem skill deserves a separate mention. It allows you to create a totem that automatically casts any of the three spells above for a limited time. However, regardless of which skill you want to use, you will need to earn skill gems yourself.
Wolf Form
The basis for Druid's transformation is the use of the new weapon, Animal Talismans, which grants you special powers, allowing you to transform into the desired animal form as needed. To transform back into a human, simply cast any spell.
The wolf form is characterized by its ability to quickly increase your agility and speed, freezing enemies first and then tearing them apart with sharp claws and teeth. If enemies appear in groups, you can also summon minions to help you.
For example, you can use Pounce skill to pounce on a target and apply a mark. Killing that enemy will summon a new werewolf to join you; the more enemies marked, the larger your pack becomes.
The wolf pack will then prioritize attacking marked enemies, and the more wolves there are, the higher the damage dealt.
Bear Form
This form is somewhat like a tank role, not only allowing you to knock down and stun enemies with immense strength, but also to attract enemy attacks to accumulate Rage, thereby increasing the final damage output.
Once you see the runes on your back glowing, it means you have accumulated enough Rage to use a more powerful berserker strike to destroy enemies. Combined with Volcano skill, nothing can stop you.
Wyvern Form
This form allows you to transform into a wyvern in close combat to tear apart enemies or deal lightning damage, or to circle in the sky, spewing fire at enemies from a distance to inflict damage.
Notably, after combat, you can accumulate energy by devouring enemy corpses, and then consume that energy to use Rend skill when new enemies are approaching a stunned state, enhancing your wings to unleash a gust of wind that knocks enemies off balance.
This not only deals a large amount of damage but also transforms this melee skill into a larger AoE attack. After the wings are fully charged, it creates a lightning explosion through a shockwave, dealing even more damage.
Ascendancy Class 1: Shaman
This Ascendancy class also harnesses the power of nature, combining animalistic talents and magical inclinations by accumulating and using Rage.
You can then allocate available passive skill points to increase your spell damage as your Rage increases, while ensuring continuous Rage generation to achieve this. Additionally, you can obtain Shaman-exclusive extra modifiers from runes and statues.
Ascendancy Class 2: Oracle
Oracle grants you precognitive abilities, allowing you to see visions of yourself using specific skills in the future during combat, and then decide whether to cast the skill as planned, potentially dealing more damage.
For example, when monsters are susceptible to freezing, stunning, or electrical attacks, as an Oracle you can foresee the enemy's future and then merge it with the current timeline, thus dealing double damage to the enemy.
The above is the key information you need to know about playing the new Druid class in Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0. We hope it's helpful. And remember that this patch will be released on December 12th, so don't miss it!
If, after the new league starts, you don't have time to farm resources and can't enjoy the new content to your heart's content, you can choose to buy PoE 2 currency on IGGM according to your budget. We are dedicated to providing cheap and safe PoE 2 goods and services!
