CoD: Black Ops 6 Shotguns Leveling

Black Ops 6 typically releases a reload update mid-season after the release of a new season, further enriching that season. Season 5 Reloaded launched on September 4th, bringing new content to all modes, including Warzone.

Notably, this update also includes rewards like free battle pass tier skips and BO6 Double Boost XP Tokens, which will even benefit you once you enter Black Ops 7.

New Map Jackpot (6v6)

This update introduces a new multiplayer map, Jackpot, inspired by the campaign missions from Black Ops 6 and Casino Multiplayer map from BO4. Join other operators or players in thrilling chases through the ornate casino buildings.

Notably, this update also includes fixes and optimizations to the available maps in other modes to further enhance your mid-season experience.

New Playable Modes

Some of these modes are new, while others are returning popular modes. You can prioritize which ones you want to experience.

Ransack

In this returning popular mode, you'll need to work with your teammates to loot and collect precious metals and kill enemies for gold bars to earn the necessary points to win.

Blueprint Gunfight

This mode pits players in pairs against each other in a 2v2 format after obtaining a selection of weapon blueprints. The game lasts for six rounds, and all players are assigned the same preset class each round.

Note that this mode doesn't have a respawn mechanism, so it's crucial to maintain good coordination with your teammates and give it your all to survive to the end and achieve more victories.

Cranked Demolition

In this mode, two teams will alternate attacking and defending two bomb sites while controlling a crank timer to increase the explosive power. Consecutive eliminations and completing objectives earn your team double points.

Note that during combat, you can also gain speed perks by planting and defusing bombs, or eliminating enemies, which will boost your operator's bomb countdown.

Reckoning Directed Mode

This mode allows you to enjoy a 15-round ammo limit and additional guidance in the later stages of Season 5, allowing you to complete the main story while simultaneously attacking the crumbling Janus Towers.

Team Cranked

This is another returning mode. After you eliminate your first Undead enemy, the team's crank timer activates, and you then keep the timer running by eliminating enemies continuously. Once the countdown ends, the game ends and your score is calculated.

New Rewards

New rewards include new weapons, weapon attachments, and scorestreak, which can be earned by playing different events. These new rewards offer more combat options in Season 5.

New Weapon Gravemark .357 Revolver

This single-action revolver isn't flashy, but it packs a powerful punch and offers a long range, allowing you to deliver a single-shot kill.

The only drawbacks are its limited ammunition capacity and the need to reload in stages, so be sure to aim accurately and protect yourself or switch to your primary weapon while reloading.

New Scorestreak Combat Bow

This scorestreak, also available in Zombies mode, fires five explosive arrows that quickly strike enemies, leaving a trail of fire at the impact site. A direct hit from the hip is often enough to eliminate an enemy, and the residual fire allows for brief area control.

New Weapon Attachment PPSh-41 Helical Magazine

This attachment provides PPSh-41 with a massive ammunition supply, eliminating the need to reload during combat. However, please note that continuous firing will fill the overheat gauge, requiring you to pause to ensure the weapon's continued use.

New Events

First and foremost, there are two leaderboard events available in Zombies mode: No Cranked No Glory, and Undead Ascension. These events require you to strive to climb the rankings and earn generous rewards.

Another new event is Nuketown Block Party, available in both Multiplayer and Zombies modes. As the name suggests, this event celebrates the classic Nuketown map.

Most of the rewards we've already mentioned can be earned by playing this event, and unlocking all the rewards in the free track will also earn you Armed and Dangerous Pickaxe Blueprint.

If you unlock the premium track, you'll also have a chance to unlock the following rewards:

Additional Warzone Content

This Warzone update is unique in that it includes some news beyond the gameplay itself: two esports tournaments.

First, C.O.D.E. Bowl returns on September 30th, showcasing teams from various countries and regions. As a spectator, you'll be able to watch the live stream on multiple platforms and earn rewards that can be used later in Black Ops 7.

The other event is World Series of Warzone™ Grand Finals, which begins on October 1st. It will determine the winner and cap off the year's Warzone competition.

Special Limited-Time Mode Deadline

This is another new mode you can experience in Warzone, requiring your team to stay active in a high-pressure environment with constant respawns and limited playtime.

Each team can earn points by eliminating opposing operators and soldiers, completing contracts, and looting. Scores reset at the start of each round, and the team with the lowest score at the end is eliminated. The team with the highest score in the final round wins.

If you’re playing Black Ops 6 these days, you’re probably busy finishing up all the limited-time events from Season 4. After all, once Season 5 launches, they and their associated rewards will cease to be available.

As in the past, Season 5 will introduce a host of new playable content, along with a mid-season reload, further enriching Season 5. However, as we prepare for the season, you might also be wondering if it will be the final BO6 season, considering BO7 doesn’t seem far off.

Below, we’ll provide an overview of Season 5 and speculate on the likelihood of more seasons.

When Will Season 5 Launch?

We know for sure that the season will launch on Thursday, August 7th, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time on all CoD Black Ops 6 available platforms, and you’ll be able to pre-download the game before the season officially begins to experience the new content firsthand.

The specific release dates for Season 5 for different time zones are as follows:

New Multiplayer Maps & Gameplay

While the release of new maps means you’ll need to practice in CoD Black Ops 6 Bot Lobbies a few times before getting used to them, it does provide new exploration fun for dedicated Multiplayer players.

Season 5 is expected to add the following four new maps to Multiplayer mode, with the final one being added via a mid-season reload:

New Zombies Map

While it’s unclear whether CoD Black Ops 6 will release Season 6 in September or October, it’s certain that the new Zombies map, The Reckoning, in Season 5 will be the game’s final Zombies map.

This map follows up on the Easter egg from Season 4’s Shattered Veil map, requiring you to travel to Janus Towers for an epic showdown with S.A.M.

The map’s gameplay is expected to include a lengthy Easter egg questline, the directional mode from Season 5 Reloaded, and the conclusion of the entire Black Ops 6 Zombies storyline (which will probably connect to BO7 Zombies storyline later).

Season 5 will also provide Gorgofex wonder weapon, useful on this map, and Mister Peeks field upgrade. The latter attracts zombies’ attention when deployed and also comes with augmentations.

During Season 5 launch, Grief support will also be released on The Reckoning map, allowing you to engage in 4v4 duels with other players. Team Cranked will also launch alongside Season 5 Reloaded.

Will There Be More New Seasons?

Despite various rumors within the community, there’s currently no official confirmation that Season 5 will be the final season for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Since the game’s season cycle lasts approximately two and a half months, and Season 5 launched on August 7th, it’s speculated that if there is a Season 6, it would launch around mid-to-late October.

However, leaks suggest that the sequel, Black Ops 7, is likely slated for a mid-November release. If these rumors and speculations are true, then the release of Black Ops 7 would almost coincide with the release of Season 6.

Previous Call of Duty games have rarely released a new season just weeks before the release of a new game. Therefore, if Black Ops 7 does launch in November, Season 5 may indeed be the final season for Black Ops 6.

On a related note, there’s also Black Ops 7 multiplayer beta, which will begin in late September and potentially last until the first or second week of October. To ensure your focus is on the new game, no other updates are expected during this period.

Taking all the above factors into account, even if CoD Black Ops 6 launches Season 6, its existence will be short-lived and unnecessary, making the claim that Season 5 is the final season completely plausible.

However, until the official announcement is made, there’s really no need to dwell on it. As a player, all you need to do is enjoy the upcoming Season 5, rather than worrying about the uncertain future of BO6!
