WoW Forever Boosting

The annual BlizzCon 2026 event concluded successfully on September 13. During the event, updates were announced for several popular ongoing titles, and the developer unveiled a brand-new game: World of Warcraft: Forever!

Loyal WoW players have long hoped for a new type of permanent server, distinct from Modern or Classic, often referred to by the community as Classic+. Now, that wish has not only been granted, but the content appears to be even richer than anticipated.

Below, we present a detailed preview of WoW: Forever based on the announcements from BlizzCon 2026 and other known information.

Launch timeline & preliminary roadmap

The game is currently scheduled to officially launch on November 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM PST. The beta phase is just around the corner, kicking off this Thursday, September 17, and is expected to last for about a month.

Additionally, the development team will host a live Q&A session on Thursday, September 17, at 10:00 AM PDT to address player questions and potentially reveal further details.

Please note that Hardcore mode will not be available immediately upon the launch of WoW: Forever; it is expected to arrive later this year or in early 2027. Similarly, the first raid will not open until one month after the game's launch.

As the game progresses, the development team plans to introduce raids of various scales, dungeons, and PvP content in line with the update schedule, alongside continuous updates to the main storyline.

How to unlock/pre-order Forever?

If you do not wish to take advantage of pre-order bonuses or participate in the beta, you can simply start playing WoW: Forever once it launches, provided you have an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time.

Pre-orders are now available via Battle.net Shop with the following editions to choose from:

• Skyborne Heroic Pack
• Skyborne Epic Pack
• Warcraft Forever Collection

Only the latter two editions include access to the beta. Given that the beta starts very soon, it is recommended to unlock the game promptly if you are interested, so you don't miss out on any playtime.

World of Warcraft: Forever story background

The main storyline of Forever is set during the first year of the original World of Warcraft timeline (launched in 2004), specifically, the period following the events of Warcraft III: Reforged -Forsaken Kingdom but prior to Molten Core.

Unlike WoW Classic, however, Forever is not merely a recreation; it significantly expands upon the original game. It introduces backstories for several brand-new regions, which in turn spawn new content such as raids and dungeons.

It is worth noting that Forsaken Kingdom, a downloadable campaign for Warcraft III: Reforged released on September 12 of this year, covers the final days of Lordaeron and the origins of Undercity, serving as the narrative foundation here.

What new content is there to experience?

First, World of Warcraft: Forever retains the original game's level 60 cap and excludes features like flying mounts and level scaling, allowing you to explore this new content with an authentic WoW feel.

New regions and race

Forever focuses its scope on the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, introducing three major new regions: Mount Hyjal, Riverglades, and Zephras Isle.

You may have explored Mount Hyjal on other servers, but Forever focuses on the aftermath of Archimonde's defeat, leading you into a fresh adventure.

As the name suggests, Riverglades is defined by rivers and grasslands, creating a rugged and complex landscape. Beyond open exploration, the area offers numerous quests that help you quickly accumulate WoW Forever gold during the early-to-mid game stages.

Then there is Zephras Isle, home to the new Skyborne Elves race and featuring a unique architectural aesthetic. Choosing to become a Skyborne in WoW: Forever opens up deeper avenues for exploration.

New dungeons and combat gameplay updates

World of Warcraft: Forever plans to introduce nine brand-new dungeons set across both classic and new regions:

• Hall of Thanes
• Ruins of Lordaeron
• A mysterious excavation site above Whelgar's Excavation
• Chaotic City of Dalaran
• Blackmaw Hold
• Drowned City
• Krol'dok Stronghold
• Alcaz Prison
• Shaper's Terrace

These dungeons serve not only as primary sources for earning gold, gear, and special loot but also help you intuitively familiarize yourself with the layout of their respective regions.

On PvP front, a 15v15 battleground set near Darkspear Islands (off the coast of Kalimdor) combines strategic control-point capture with flag-based objectives, offering thrilling combat that tests your ability to coordinate with teammates.

Regarding the leveling experience, WoW: Forever introduces Legacy Progression and Camping features: the former facilitates the development of alts, while the latter allows players to set up camps in the open world, providing resting spots, and potentially buffs, for passing players.

Expanded class and race combinations

In addition to the new Skyborne Elves, World of Warcraft: Forever expands upon the existing class system by introducing two new class-race combinations: Forsaken Paladins and Dwarf Shamans.

New abilities and related updates accompany these additions, offering a richer experience and more choices while preserving the essence of the original game.

Beyond gameplay-specific content, WoW: Forever introduces more customization options for visual settings.

You can choose between modern and Classic visual presets, toggle between HD and SD character models, and adjust various other settings to suit your preferences. The game also offers professional-grade official controller support.
