Instead, it randomly selects a raid member. However, during Phase 3 PTR, tanks were hit by Agonizing Flames far more frequently than expected.   Tanks have to withstand not only the initial damage and DoT, but also Illidan's heavy melee attacks at the same time. Although a tank should theoretically have only a 1/25 chance of being selected, being hit more than 10 times in a row clearly indicates that something is wrong.

  The raid still needs to spread out to prevent other players from being affected, but the unusually high frequency of tanks being targeted must be taken seriously.   However, with Phase 3 of TBC Classic Anniversary approaching, the official team appears to have changed its stance and will no longer reduce raid difficulty. This has come as a surprise to players and could also have a significant impact on the in-game economy.

  

  Phase 3 Changes

  The official announcement confirmed that Phase 3 of WoW TBC Classic Anniversary will launch on August 27, along with information about raid availability, bosses, entry requirements, rewards, and other content. However, it did not mention any further raid difficulty reductions.

  Most players hoped that Black Temple in Phase 3 of The Burning Crusade Anniversary would remain as close as possible to its original form, and the official response appears to have aligned with those expectations.

  If this decision is ultimately implemented, it will undoubtedly be surprising because, back in April, the official team stated that it had reviewed player progression and clear data and concluded that the reduced difficulty was performing well, even exceeding internal expectations.
