WoW MoP Classic Phase 5 New Raid Siege of Orgrimmar Overview: How to unlock the rewards?

Category: WoW MoP Classic Posted: May 29, 2026 Views: 32

For WoW MoP Classic players who cherish the feeling of fighting side-by-side with their comrades, Phase 4 was likely a rather uneventful period, as it introduced no new raids.

Fortunately, those dull days are drawing to a close. Phase 5, launching on June 2nd, brings with it a wealth of new content, most notably, the brand-new raid: Siege of Orgrimmar!

If you played the original Mists of Pandaria expansion, you may already be familiar with this raid's mechanics. However, given the potential for subtle tweaks and changes in MoP Classic, we've put together this guide to help ensure you're fully prepared!

WoW MoP Classic Phase 5 New Raid Siege of Orgrimmar Overview: How to unlock the rewards?

When will Siege of Orgrimmar go live?

It is important to note that the raid will not launch simultaneously with Phase 5; instead, it will go live two days later, on June 4th! So, if you log in next Tuesday and don't see the raid entrance in-game, don't panic, it's not a bug.

We recommend using this two-day interval to explore the new zone, Timeless Isle, while simultaneously recruiting reliable raid teammates, if you haven't already assembled a roster of familiar faces.

Since the new raid is bound to attract a massive number of participants upon launch, queue times are likely to be quite long. However, if you've already formed a pre-made group, you can head straight into the fray!

How to enter this raid?

The raid offers two difficulty modes: Standard and Heroic. Flexible mode, which was present in the original expansion, is not included in MoP Classic.

Standard mode requires a group of 10 players, while Heroic mode requires 25 players. Both modes require all group members to be at the maximum level (Level 90) to enter; the key difference is that Heroic mode presents a greater challenge and rewards higher-level loot.

The entrance to Siege of Orgrimmar is located within Vale of Eternal Blossoms zone; the easiest way to reach it is by flying. The specific Flight Master you should use depends on your faction:

  • Alliance: Shrine of Seven Stars at /way 84, 61
  • Horde: Shrine of Two Moons at /way 62, 23

Once you arrive in the zone, first locate Mogu'shan Palace. You will then spot a broken stone pillar situated directly in front of the palace; the entrance to Siege of Orgrimmar is located on the southwest side of this pillar.

How to complete Siege of Orgrimmar?

The raid features a total of 14 bosses. Simply defeat them one by one, in the order in which you encounter them, to clear the raid! Only three bosses have specific sequencing requirements: Spoils of Pandaria, Thok the Bloodthirsty, and Siegecrafter Blackfuse.

If you defeat Blackfuse first, you are then free to choose between Spoils and Blackfuse for your next encounter. However, if you intend to defeat Thok next, you must prioritize Spoils of Pandaria.

The following are all 14 bosses:

  • Immerseus
  • The Fallen Protectors
  • Norushen
  • Sha of Pride
  • Galakras
  • Iron Juggernaut
  • Kor'kron Dark Shaman
  • General Nazgrim
  • Malkorok
  • Spoils of Pandaria
  • Thok the Bloodthirsty
  • Siegecrafter Blackfuse
  • Paragons of the Klaxxi
  • Garrosh Hellscream

What loot is available?

First, all 14 bosses have their own exclusive loot tables. These drops include standard items, Warforged items, and Heirloom Weapons.

The specific items dropped by bosses are identical across both modes; however, Heroic mode offers loot with an item level 13 points higher:

Item Type Item Level in Standard Mode Item Level in Heroic Mode
Standard Items 533 566
Warforged Items 559 572
Heirloom Weapons 569 582

Additionally, six bosses within Siege of Orgrimmar raid have a chance to drop Tier 16 tokens for various gear slots, which can be used to redeem the corresponding Tier 16 set pieces.

Notably, the final boss, Garrosh Hellscream, drops a special Essence that can be used to redeem a set piece for any gear slot:

Slot Boss
Helm Thok the Bloodthirsty
Shoulders Siegecrafter Blackfuse
Chest Sha of Pride
Legs Paragons of the Klaxxi
Gloves General Nazgrim
Essence (any slot) Garrosh Hellscream

Aside from the essence, the tokens themselves fall into three distinct categories; each class is eligible to receive drops for only one specific token type:

Token Type Class
Vanquisher Death Knight, Druid, Mage, and Rogue
Conqueror Paladin, Priest, and Warlock
Protector Hunter, Monk, Shaman, and Warrior

Once you have obtained a token, you can return to your faction's capital city and locate the appropriate NPC on the second-floor balcony to redeem your gear.

It is worth noting that Tier 16 set will vary depending on the raid difficulty; consequently, the corresponding NPCs differ as well:

Faction Standard Mode NPC Heroic Mode NPC
Alliance Clarice Chapmann Lorry Warmheart
Horde Ki'agnuu Tu'aho Pathcutter

What are Warforged items?

This item type represents a new variant of gear loot introduced with Siege of Orgrimmar raid. Compared to their standard versions, Warforged items possess an Item Level that is 6 points higher, naturally providing greater stat bonuses when equipped.

However, to prevent potential power imbalances caused by RNG mechanics, Mists of Pandaria Classic has introduced a new system for gear upgrades.

Now, non-Warforged items can be upgraded by 14 item levels by consuming 500 Valor Points, while Warforged items require the consumption of 2000 Justice Points to increase their item level by 8 points.

In this way, regardless of the specific loot you acquire, their item levels will be identical once they have undergone their final upgrade.

The above covers the essential information you need to know to prepare for Siege of Orgrimmar raid. With less than a week remaining until its release, we hope you find like-minded teammates soon so you can embark on this adventure together!
