  One week after the launch of Curse of the Allflame, Path of Exile released its first major patch, 3.29.1, on July 31st. While primarily focused on bug fixes, the update addresses a wide range of mechanics and introduces several new buffs.

  To help you quickly adapt to the changes this patch brings to Path of Exile 3.29 league, and to ensure you can continue farming resources effectively, we've outlined the key highlights below:

  3.29 League mechanic Improvements

  PoE 3.29.1 centers on Curse of the Allflame mechanic, bringing key additions include a new chart variant known as Eldritch Depths and a new type of Ducat called Ukatoa's Ducat; the former appears to be the source where the latter drops.

  During PoE 3.29 league, multiple charts can be combined to form a voyage, which offers various rewards upon completion. Different charts allow for different combinations, determining the loot and bonuses available in the corresponding areas during the voyage.

  As for Ducats, they are a special currency designed for Allflame crafting system, with each type serving a unique purpose.

  If you are determined to pursue this playstyle, ensure you provide a link that transfers your critical strike chance to the mercenary, and use the unique Great Mallet, Trypanon.

  

  While Trypanon is generally poor outside of its synergy with Destructive Link, the combination guarantees that your mercenary lands a critical hit on every attack. If you also equip Marilyn's Fallacy, your mercenary can consistently deal critical hits.

  Next, PoE Patch 3.29.1 now allows resurrected permanent mercenaries to re-enter areas they previously retreated from, provided your character also re-enters the area, which means consuming a portal.

  Mercenaries with Infamous prefix now appear more frequently; while they are more dangerous, defeating them yields greater rewards. Additionally, the support effects applied to skills used by all mercenaries have been generally buffed.

  Patch 3.29.1 introduces a new Atlas tree notable called Contract Killers, which increases the damage your allied mercenaries deal to enemy mercenaries and Rogue Exiles by 100%.

  While you would likely only allocate this notable when playing Luminary, it offers a valuable alternative, especially if you possess a solid level 75 permanent mercenary but wish to avoid the damage penalties associated with leveling them up further.

  Last but not least is a change affecting both mercenaries and PoE Allflame league mechanic: permanent mercenaries brought along on voyages are now influenced by Golden Lanterns you have collected, granting you various bonuses.

  Core content of the general improvements

  Changes in this section primarily address various bugs that emerged in Path of Exile 3.29 over the past week; the only area requiring special attention is Abyss mechanic.

  For instance, a new Abyssal Bloodline class has been added, which can be unlocked by defeating specific bosses. Additionally, a new Atlas Anomaly called Gambling District has been introduced.
