In MLB The Show 25, stubs are your most important currency, slipping through your fingers like sand to enjoy the various modes. Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the complexity of MLB The Show 25 marketplace? This virtual trading ground is a gold mine for savvy gamers, but navigating it can be as tricky as hitting a curveball.

The most common use of stubs is trading player cards. However, stubs aren't limited to these items. Many aspects of the game require stubs to unlock items like bats, team logos, and even sounds and animations.

You've undoubtedly seen a variety of items sold by players in the marketplace, each with varying values. If you're planning to earn some MLB 25 stubs by flipping, you need to at least understand the basic value of each item.

Item Value

Although each item has a trade cap, it never reaches that high in actual trading. In-game, there's a Quick Sale with a maximum value. Quick Sale sets a minimum value for your card, and you can manually set a value between the minimum and maximum.

Player Cards

Player cards are divided into different series, with Live series containing the largest number of cards. Live cards have a minimum sale value that's double that of non-Live cards. However, since Live cards currently list at 85 OVR, the following values are based on quality, non-Live card quick sale value, and maximum value:

  • Below 65 OVR: Common, 2 stubs, 1,000 stubs

Transaction Fees

Benjamin Franklin once said, "In this world, nothing is certain except death and taxes." Therefore, every transaction you make is subject to a tax.

This tax primarily applies to the player selling the item. If you sell an item worth 1,500 MLB The Show 25 stubs, the system will deduct 10% of your proceeds, or 150 stubs. Your actual stubs are only 1,350. If you took 1,400 stubs to acquire the item, you'd actually lose money on the transaction.

So, if you're trying to earn stubs by flipping, you also need to factor in the 10% transaction fee.

The above are the trade values for all items in MLB The Show 25. They can provide some guidance when trading players in the trade market. With the increasing number of high-quality cards in the game, the value of older cards is rapidly depreciating. If you're looking to acquire newly released players, it's recommended to wait about a week, as newly released cards are often inflated in value and only return to normal levels after a week.
