GTA 6 Confirmed and Likely Gangs | Many Original Outfits Could Still Survive

In every installment of Grand Theft Auto series, gangs, mafia families, or criminal organizations of various sizes have always stood at the heart of the game world. Our protagonists inevitably cross paths with these groups, and the most iconic example remains CJ, who served as the second-in-command of Grove Street Families. Likewise, the fading Van der Linde gang in Red Dead Redemption 2 found itself locked in constant conflict with rival outfits.
For GTA 6, gangs will certainly be no less present; they will act as both friends and foes to the two lead characters and carry significant weight in the narrative. Let us now systematically survey the major criminal factions set to appear in Leonida and Vice City.

Confirmed Major Gangs
Final Chapter MC
Among all the confirmed groups, Final Chapter MC currently offers the clearest picture. In the debut trailer, club members can be seen riding through the streets of Ambrosia on a variety of motorcycles, with noticeably diverse body types among the riders. Notably, while their jackets follow a unified design language, individual variations in details suggest an internal hierarchy within the club.
One official screenshot shows a male member wearing a Liberty City Cycles cap, and his jacket bears the word Enforcer - a direct hint that the club enforces a strict rank system, with such individuals likely serving as the senior figures responsible for discipline and violent intimidation.
Motorcycle clubs are a familiar sight in GTA series; players can even form an 8-member MC in GTA Online. It is expected that Final Chapter MC will run both legitimate businesses and organized crime operations, with its primary turf centered around Ambrosia.

San4San
The real-world inspiration for San4San is Haitian-American gang Zoe Pound, active in Florida. The name San4San comes from Haitian Creole and means blood for blood or an eye for an eye.
This gang first surfaced in the 2022 leaks, but the first and second trailers offered more concrete evidence. In trailer one, a character wearing a necklace with what appears to be a gang emblem makes a brief appearance;
In second trailer, as Jason drives past a police arrest scene, the wall graffiti clearly displays San4San name and its symbol. The surrounding mural art style strongly ties the area to Haitian culture. San4San most likely has a legacy connection to the original Haitian gang from Vice City.
A NPC in the first trailer, sporting a blue bandana, wears an outfit highly reminiscent of the classic Haitian gang members from that earlier game. Additionally, the man standing atop a green car in trailer one may also be linked to San4San - though this remains speculative for now. What is clear, however, is that the gang wields formidable territorial control over Haitian-dominated neighborhoods.

Highly Probable Gangs
Port Gellhorn
Once a thriving tourist destination, Port Gellhorn has now fallen into decay and ruin. Based on available screenshots, the area appears rife with drug trafficking activity.
In one image, a man wielding a baseball bat and carrying a firearm on his back stands in front of a cannabis crop, with visible bullet-scar tattoos on his body; another figure is similarly covered in ink and scars, suggesting they have endured repeated violent encounters.
In another scene, a woman sells blue pills - likely some form of synthetic drug - to someone inside a vehicle, while a man in the distance keeps watch over the exchange. All these clues point to Port Gellhorn functioning as a narcotics hub controlled by an as-yet-unnamed criminal syndicate, whose members are deeply involved in illicit drug deals and maintain armed forces.

Grassrivers
Grassrivers first appeared in the 2022 leaks as a far-right militia group, though little was known about it at the time. Several screenshots from trailer two may offer some insight. In Grassrivers district - an area famous for alligator hunting - a group of individuals clearly do not resemble ordinary tourists or locals.
Three roughly dressed people move through the region, clutching shotguns while standing over alligators, followed by a shot of a truck laden with alligator carcasses fleeing from police pursuit. This implies that these individuals are likely engaged in more than just legal hunting; they probably use hunting as a cover for some other illegal activity.

Possible Returning Classic Gangs
Given the timeline and shared universe of GTA series, the following gangs may either return in Grand Theft Auto 6 or receive indirect mentions:
- Colombian Cartel: A major player in Vice City, its influence could well extend across State of Leonida.
- Cubans: A traditional Vice City outfit that might be revived in some form in the new title.
- Forelli Crime Family: As a Liberty City Mafia family, they may have already established a branch in Vice City.
- Diaz Gang: The drug trafficking organization once led by Ricardo Diaz in the original Vice City; although Diaz was eliminated by Tommy Vercetti in 1986, remnants of his operation could still be active.
- Vice City Bikers: The motorcycle gang from Vice City, for which players once ran missions. Given Florida's deep-rooted motorcycle club culture, a comeback is plausible.
- Vercetti Family: While Tommy Vercetti himself will not appear, his criminal empire might continue in some fashion; perhaps Vercetti Family still controls certain parts of Vice City.
Prison Gangs
The trailers have confirmed that the female protagonist, Lucia, will experience a period of incarceration. Screenshots from this phase show figures in the background who appear to be prison gang members. This suggests that players may encounter inmate factions during the prison chapters and become entangled in the internal politics and violent struggles behind bars.
The gang information revealed in the trailers and official screenshots likely represents only a tiny fraction of the full game. And since GTA 6 returns to Vice City, we can reasonably expect that every district will house its own entrenched gang presence.
While the main GTA 6 storyline may not necessarily lead to the two protagonists becoming gang leaders, GTA 6 Online will most likely retain the gang-making feature. You can buy money and weapons at IGGM GTA 6 Store and claim your own territory in Vice City.
