  Vulnerable is one of the most efficient damage-boosting statuses in the late game of Diablo 4, and Splinter of the Mother changes the application method from skill casting to simply walking through, making it extremely beneficial for melee and high-mobility builds.

  Splinter of Damnation

  

  The effect of Splinter of Damnation is that for every Elite Pack killed, monster power is temporarily increased by 1 level and experience gained by 25%, lasting 10/15/20/25 seconds.

  This shard has no explicit stat penalty; its cost is stronger enemies you create yourself. Increased monster power means monsters have higher health and damage, but also better loot.

  Therefore, Splinter of Damnation is suitable for builds where current content is too easy and you want to actively seek difficulty in farming efficiency and loot quality. If your character is already at their survival limit, Damnation will only hasten failure.

  Soul Splinters Selection Principles

  The fun of Soul Splinters lies not in how strong their buffs are, but in the fact that they force players to make realistic build decisions.

  Some penalties can be compensated for by other gear systems. For example, the movement speed loss from Splinter of Pain can be mitigated by movement speed affixes or short-cooldown movement skills. The damage reduction amplification from Splinter of the Black Soulstone can be offset by armor, block, and damage reduction.

  However, some penalties cannot be mitigated by stacking other attributes - Hellfire directly removes critical hits, and you can't get them back elsewhere. For these penalties, the only option is for the build to still work without relying on that attribute.

  Therefore, the correct order for choosing Soul Splinters should be:

  List the mechanics your build absolutely cannot lose → Find Splinters that won't trigger these mechanics → Choose the one with the highest benefit.

  It's worth noting that the quality of Soul Splinters directly affects their usability. Higher quality versions not only have higher bonus values, but also improve the tolerance for certain shard penalties. Upgrading commonly used shards to unique quality using Horadric Cube is an important progression path from the mid to late game of Diablo 4 Season 15.

  Although Diablo 4 Season 15 introduces plenty of engaging new gameplay, War Plans remain a popular source of runes, especially given their potential connection to Prime Evils.

  The original War Plans mechanic involved grouping various endgame events into a list; completing the list yielded rewards. Additionally, your progress in specific events allowed you to unlock upgrade trees for combat or loot drop bonuses.

  Now, however, Splinters of Evil obtained by defeating Prime Evils in Season 15 integrate with special new War Plans branches.

  To open a lair boss's hoard, you must not only defeat the boss but also farm the corresponding Lair Keys beforehand. It is generally recommended to stockpile enough keys for continuous farming runs to maximize efficiency.

  Kurast Undercity farming

  Introduced in Vessel of Hatred expansion, Kurast Undercity is a multi-stage, speed-run style dungeon that requires you to farm within a limited timeframe. Of course, you can extend the duration by slaying specific enemies during the run.

  Kurast Undercity offers a rich variety of loot, including runes. The number of runes obtained per run depends on two factors: the attunement value generated by your combat performance and whether you utilized Tributes.

  Tributes are a special mechanic of this dungeon; by offering one at the brazier near the entrance before starting, you can increase the proportion of specific loot types received upon completion.

  If you want to acquire more runes, simply farm and offer Tribute of Harmony beforehand. While there is no specific source for Tribute drops, they have a higher chance of dropping in Helltides and The Pit.

  Additionally, Kurast Undercity is an endgame event affected by War Plans; to maximize its efficiency, be sure to unlock nodes in the upgrade tree as early as possible.

  

  Entering Whimsyshire

  Whimsyshire is a secret level brought back to the game in Diablo 4 Season 15; entry requires a Liquid Rainbow or can be triggered through other random events.

  The level contains special objects, such as Happy Clouds and various chests, that yield loot (including runes) upon direct interaction. Defeating the final boss, Neigh'relle, grants even richer rewards, including a special title.
