How to Break Itemization System Impasse?
Faced with this deeply ingrained issue in Diablo series' itemization system, how can we make it truly effective and revitalize the equipment system? Here are some suggestions for developers:
Restore Gear to a Support Role
First, from a classic perspective, perhaps we should redefine the role of equipment, shifting it from defining builds to simply enhancing them. The development team could reduce ineffective random drops by introducing a true built-in item filter, or reintroduce universal affixes from Diablo 2, allowing players to experience the joy of unexpectedly acquiring good gear.
Separate the Aspect Mechanism
Another issue to address is the relationship between Legendaries and Aspects. Otherwise, Legendary gear will remain largely ineffective.
