Diablo 4 Season 13 March of the Goblins Guide | Best Nahantu Farming Routes & Mistakes to Avoid

Category: Diablo 4 Posted: Jun 04, 2026 Views: 12

Players, Goblin event is one of the most popular events in Diablo 4 Season 13. During the event, the spawn rate of Treasure Goblins will significantly increase across the entire map, making it a prime opportunity to farm various materials. So, how should we complete March of the Goblins, and which route should we use for efficient monster farming?

March of the Goblins Overview

Starting June 3rd, players first need to go to Kyovashad to accept the starting quest. This quest requires accumulating 600 Goblin Points, with 50 Points awarded for each Goblin killed.

Completing this quest will unlock Altar of the Goblins located in Kyovashad, which is Reputation Board for this event.

It's important to note that many players think the event is over once Reputation Board is full, but in reality, Reputation Board is just the beginning.

The real core value lies in repeatedly killing Goblins to obtain a massive amount of crafting materials, including materials for Horadric Cube, gold, and Forgotten Souls, among other scarce resources.

If you're consistently short of these materials, March of the Goblins can completely solve your resource shortage problem in one go.

Reputation Board Rewards and Important Notes

After completing Reputation Board, players will receive a series of chest rewards, and you can also receive additional chests whenever you accumulate a certain number of Goblins killed.

Additionally, here's a crucial reminder: during March of the Goblins, you must regularly return to Goblin statue in Kyovashad to collect these chests.

Because if you don't collect all the rewards before the end of March of the Goblins, i.e., before June 17th, all unclaimed rewards will disappear. So don't just focus on farming monsters and forget to come back and open the chests.

Avoid Inefficient Farming Areas

Many players rush to Infernal Hordes immediately upon hearing about Goblin event, because Chaos event and Chaos Wave can indeed quickly fill up Reputation Board.

The problem is that farming Infernal Hordes yields almost no substantial material rewards, meaning you only get Reputation Board's reward and miss out on the true value of March of the Goblins.

Although The Pits contains a lot of Greed Shrines, it is not suitable for farming Goblins because the monsters in The Pits do not drop Diablo 4 items. All rewards are distributed only at the end, making the extra materials from Goblins completely unobtainable.

Kurast Undercity suffers from the same issue: all materials and drops are fixed in the final rewards.

Therefore, all three modes are only suitable for quickly clearing Reputation Board in March of the Goblins, rather than being a truly efficient way to farm materials.

Best Farming Area Comparison and Recommendations

If you have already unlocked Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred, you can choose to prioritize going to Nahantu region. If you don't have expansion, PvP area is an excellent alternative. Some players have found seven or eight Goblins within five minutes in PvP area, with impressive results in testing.

Furthermore, Hoarfrost Demise Dungeon remains a classic route favored by players every season.

If you don't find Goblins or shrines in Hoarfrost Demise Dungeon, simply exit and reset the dungeon. This repeated resetting is similar to farming gems during the season.

Core Tip 1: Disable Cross-Platform Play

Before starting any Goblin event, the first thing you absolutely must do is log out of Diablo 4, then go to the settings and find the connection-related options. Disable Cross-Platform Play, then log back into the game.

This significantly increases your Goblin spawn rate. Because if you turn on Cross Network Play, you'll encounter a large number of other players who will steal your Goblins before you even arrive.

Disabling it essentially puts you in a more private server, where the number of Goblins is significantly higher and there's no competition for them.

Core Tip 2: Hire Subo

If you have Nahantu and have unlocked the mercenary Subo, be sure to bring him along, as Subo is practically the god of Goblin hunting.

In practice, you need to zoom the game view to a suitable distance and frequently open the large map to scan, because Subo's marking range on the map is far greater than the display range on the minimap.

You can see a Goblin's location on the large map, but at the same time, it won't appear on the minimap at all. This is Subo's power. With his help, you can see Goblin markers on the minimap that are far beyond the normal field of view.

Core Tip 3: Proper Use of Greed Shrines

During March of the Goblins, Greed Shrines will produce additional special effects. You need to find these shrines on the map.

Before finding the shrines, try not to kill any monsters in the vicinity, because after you activate Greed Shrine, these surviving monsters will be used to trigger Greed Shrine effect. The more monsters you kill, the faster Greed Shrine respawns.

There are some fixed locations in Nahantu area where Greed Shrines will spawn. Simply run around the map repeatedly to find them. Once you activate a shrine, quickly clear the surrounding monsters and move on to the next shrine location.

By following this route and technique in Diablo 4, you can completely acquire any materials you're missing during this March of the Goblins!
