BlizzCon returns to Anaheim Convention Center on September 12–13, 2026. For fans of Diablo series, this is a 30th-anniversary celebration not to be missed - officials have promised that Diablo will take center stage during the opening ceremony to reveal the glorious future of Sanctuary.

Whether you are attending in person or watching from home, here is a complete viewing guide covering the full schedule of Diablo-related content, how to claim Twitch Drops, and key intel on Season 15 that we've uncovered from PTR.

Diablo Panel Schedule

Diablo 4 BlizzCon 2026 Viewing Guide: Full Panel Schedule and Clues to Season 15's Theme

Diablo will have a major presence at this year's BlizzCon, with events running from the opening ceremony on Saturday through Sunday afternoon.

September 12 (Saturday)

Time (PT)  Panel Stage
10:15 a.m Opening Ceremony Main Stage
1:45 p.m Diablo: Developer Update Main Stage
4:15 p.m The Art of Darkness: Behind Diablo 4's Cinematics Legends Stage

The opening ceremony will feature Blizzard Entertainment's president alongside the heads of various franchises, with Diablo serving as one of the key highlights. During the afternoon's Developer Update session, Diablo team will discuss the creativity, craftsmanship, and ambition that shape the series. Note, however, that the description for this session is intentionally broad; it could cover Diablo IV, Diablo II: Resurrected, Diablo Immortal, or even unannounced new projects, making it one of the weekend's biggest mysteries.

Meanwhile, The Art of Darkness focuses on the creation process behind Diablo IV's cinematics - a perfect session for players interested in the game's audiovisual artistry.

September 13 (Sunday)

Time (PT) Panel Stage
10:00 a.m Diablo Immortal Live Artist Drawing Immortal Stage
11:00 a.m Diablo IV: What's Next Main Stage
3:15 p.m Voices of Blizzard Main Stage

The highlight of Sunday is undoubtedly Diablo IV: What's Next. Blizzard describes this session as a celebration of thirty years of darkness with the development team, offering a sneak peek at upcoming content, features, and more.

This session confirms that Diablo IV is central to the event's previews. Given the extensive Season 15 mechanics already tested on PTR, there is good reason to expect a full reveal of the new season during this segment.

Additionally, Diablo Immortal live art session will feature a special guest - widely reported to be Todd McFarlane, creator of Spawn. He will collaborate with the Immortal art team on a live creation and host an autograph session.

Voices of Blizzard offers players an up-close look at the voice acting behind Diablo IV's iconic characters and world, exploring how those familiar voices breathe life into the game's cast.

Twitch Drops and the First-Ever Diablo Chat Badge

Diablo 4 BlizzCon Twitch Drops

Watching the stream also comes with rewards. From 10:00 a.m. PT on September 12 to 9:59 a.m. PT on September 15, viewers can unlock a weapon cosmetic for every two hours of watch time on any stream within the Diablo IV category:

  • 2 hours: Serrated Skean Dagger
  • 4 hours: Corroded Cleaver Axe
  • 6 hours: Tintinnabulation Two-Handed Mace

Furthermore, the first-ever BlizzCon Diablo Twitch chat badge is being introduced to celebrate the franchise's 30th anniversary. Viewers can automatically earn this badge by subscribing to any Diablo creator's channel between 10:00 a.m. PT on September 12 and 9:59 a.m. PT on September 26.

Season 15 Core Mechanic: Soul Splinters

Diablo 4 Soul Splinters

For Diablo 4 players, the biggest draw of this year's BlizzCon is undoubtedly Season 15. According to information from 3.2.0 PTR, the core mechanic of Season 15 revolves around Soul Splinters. These are a brand-new type of D4 items that can be socketed into rings and amulets. Unlike traditional gems that merely provide stat boosts, Soul Splinters introduce unique mechanical effects.

Their defining characteristic is that while they offer powerful buffs, they also come with a cost; players must weigh the trade-offs between damage output, survivability, and utility. For instance, Splinter of the Black Soulstone allows players to absorb souls upon killing enemies - with each soul further boosting damage - but this also increases the damage the player takes.

Feedback from PTR phase has been largely positive. Compared to past seasonal mechanics that focused primarily on raw stat increases, Soul Splinter system emphasizes decision-making regarding risk versus reward, promising greater build diversity across different classes and playstyles.

Given the central role of Soul Splinters in Season 15 - and Blizzard's history of naming seasons after their core mechanics (such as the Season of the Malignant, Season of the Infernal Hordes, and Season of Witchcraft) - it is highly likely that Season 15 will be titled the Season of Soul Splinters.

Viewing Recommendations

If you are a Diablo 4 player and can only watch one session, Diablo IV: What's Next panel on Sunday morning at 11:00 AM is unmissable. This is the only panel confirmed to focus specifically on Diablo 4 content; it is expected to officially reveal full details about Season 15 and the roadmap for future updates.

If you are interested in seasonal mechanics, the Developer Update on Saturday afternoon is also worth tuning in for. While it covers the Diablo franchise broadly, major announcements are often scheduled during BlizzCon, making this session a key event to watch.

If you are tuning in for Twitch Drops, remember to link your Battle.net and Twitch accounts beforehand. Starting Saturday at 10:00 AM, simply watch any stream in Diablo 4 category; six hours of viewing time will unlock all three weapon cosmetic rewards.

Blizzard has deliberately kept a significant amount of content under wraps until the BlizzCon reveal, suggesting that the opening ceremony and What's Next panel may hold surprises we haven't yet glimpsed in PTR. Join us on September 12 as we witness the next chapter of Sanctuary.
