  Then allocate all remaining attribute points to Vitality. Since Sorceress is inherently more fragile than other classes, maximizing Vitality helps significantly boost your maximum Life total, making your character much more durable.

  Act 3: Mephisto

  This boss is located at the lowest level of Durance of Hate in Act 3. The quickest way to reach him is to first locate the waypoint on the second level of the area; from there, simply follow the outer perimeter of the zone in a clockwise direction to find the staircase leading down.

  Echoing Strike Warlock also enjoys a Faster Cast Rate (FCR) breakpoint second only to Sorceresses and Barbarians, easily reaching 125 FCR for efficient Teleport usage, quickly locking onto and killing elite monsters. All of this makes it exceptionally efficient.

  

  Secondary Builds

  Compared to the top tier, builds in this category can still farm reliably and efficiently, but they are not as polished as S-tier ones - they have certain shortcomings in either efficiency or survivability.

  Fire Warlock

  Fire Warlock possesses wide-area, high-damage skills such as Apocalypse and Flame Wave. It comes with a Conviction aura that lowers fire resistance, plus inherent fire penetration. Gear requirements are relatively modest, and demon minions provide excellent safety.

  Abyss Warlock

  Mosaic Assassin

  Mosaic Assassin is disabled in the current Ladder season and only available in offline mode. It boasts the most insane damage output in the game, maintaining all charges to instantly clear screens and ignore any immunities. Its biggest downsides are the need for melee combat and mediocre Teleport breakpoints, which slow down Herald spawning.

  Lightning Sentry Assassin

  Lightning Sentry Assassin's advantage lies in its very safe playstyle. You can place traps from a distance and use Mind Blast for crowd control. Death Sentry's Corpse Explosion deals fire and physical damage, allowing you to handle various immune monsters. While its damage ceiling is lower than that of Mosaic Assassin, its exceptional safety makes it shine in Hardcore.

  Mirrored Blades Warlock

  Think of this as a weaker version of Echoing Strike Warlock. Like its counterpart, it deals physical damage and relies on demon minions, but both its damage output and smoothness of play fall short of Echoing Strike, feeling somewhat clunky.

  Summon Necromancer

  Summon Necromancer relies on an army of skeletons, revived monsters, and a mercenary, combined with Amplify Damage and Corpse Explosion. It handles Heralds and their minion packs very reliably.   Daggers

  Daggers are among the most interesting sources of Warlock Charged Skills, because they can spawn with very high skill levels. The skills you really want to watch for are:

  • Rancor
  • Miasma Bolt
  • Lethargy

  Among these, a level 8 Lethargy offers the greatest value obtainable from a Dagger. With a radius of 4 yards and a duration of 12 seconds, it provides the following effects:

  • Reduces enemy defense by 40%
  • Increases damage taken by enemies by 27%
  • Slows enemy run/walk speed by 50%
  • Slows enemy attack speed by 50%

  When facing a boss, you can have your Mercenary cast Decrepify first, then use Lethargy on the boss. This combination greatly reduces the boss's threat - especially the potent slow effect, which can practically immobilize monsters.

  For melee builds - especially those aiming to maximize their Boss-killing speed - pairing your gear with a dagger bearing Lethargy affix is highly recommended; it can even serve as a viable alternative option when farming Heralds.

  A dagger can also roll level 7 Rancor with 112 charges. Rancor has some niche applications. In short, it places a Sigil on the ground. Enemies that enter the area become enraged and have a chance to attack each other.

  If your summons, Valkyrie, or an Act 3 to Act 5 mercenary step into this area, their attack speed and damage increase. Meanwhile, monsters inside the area have a 75% chance to become enraged and turn on each other. This skill is very useful in summon-based setups.

  Rings

  Rings are the most highly recommended gear slot for this purpose. You can acquire rings featuring Lethargy affix through Blood Crafting or Caster Crafting. These crafted rings can roll up to level 4 or level 5 of Sigil: Lethargy skill.

  Although level 5 effect is slightly less potent than level 8 version found on daggers, the difference amounts to a mere two or three percentage points.   This item grants you a 5% chance to trigger a level 10 Lethargy effect whenever you are struck by an enemy. Although level 10 version boasts a larger radius and higher statistical bonuses compared to level 8 dagger or level 5 ring versions, the 5% trigger chance is simply too unreliable to be consistent; consequently, this option is generally not recommended.

  Shields

  An Artisan's Tower Shield can spawn with level 1 Rancor, which is of little use - even Paladins won't need it. However, a Jeweler's Monarch can roll level 4 Rancor, which is quite decent for a Summon Druid and worth keeping an eye on.

  Gloves

  Gloves can roll level 1 Apocalypse. Its maximum damage is only 120. The damage output is low, so you can use it for fun, but it has little practical value.

  The new item filtering feature in Diablo II Resurrected Season 13 has been a great convenience for many players. However, when it comes to determining whether a rare item has any practical use, this feature falls short.

  A rare item can have up to six different affixes, with a maximum of three prefixes and three suffixes. Evaluating the value of a rare item mainly depends on how many of those affixes are useful and whether their rolls are high enough. Let's take a look at which rare weapons are worth using.

  

  Melee Weapons

  Melee characters are the primary users of rare weapons, though some other builds also favor them. Barbarians can wield any two-handed sword in one hand.

  For an acceptable rare melee weapon, its damage must be sufficiently high. This means it must be Ethereal and possess one of the following two affix combinations:

  • Cruel Weapon: When both the Cruel and Master's prefixes appear together, the weapon can reach up to 450% enhanced damage. Any weapon with over 350% enhanced damage is worth using.
  • Fool's Weapon: When both Cruel and Fool's prefixes appear together, the weapon maxes out at 300% enhanced damage but gains bonuses to maximum damage and attack rating based on character level. Such weapons are mainly used against high-defense characters, namely Barbarians and Paladins.

  Against Amazons and Druids, such high attack accuracy is less necessary. Therefore, most melee players who can equip any weapon class typically keep one Cruel weapon and one Fool's weapon.

  If the weapon's damage is adequate, the following three affixes largely determine its overall value:

  • Increased Attack Speed (IAS)
  • Two sockets
  • Self-repair

  With sufficient damage, possessing any one of these makes the weapon usable. Having all three makes it a top-tier item, potentially worth a full inventory of small charms or even more.

  Ranged Weapons

  Throwing Weapons

  Throwing weapons require essentially the same affixes. However, they cannot have sockets, and Self-repair must be replaced with Replenishing. Barbarians do not need this affix because they can replenish quantity through their mastery skills, but an Amazon's javelins are completely useless without Replenishing quantity.

  Bows

  The situation for bows is simpler: they cannot be Ethereal, so they never need self-repair. Bows with over 400% enhanced damage are very popular, but Fool's bows are not entirely without merit.

  The key factors for value are two sockets and attack speed. Unlike other weapons, bows can only roll up to 20% IAS. Bows can also spawn with Visionary prefix, which is normally seen only on helms. Note that Fool's and Visionary belong to the same prefix group, so they cannot appear on the same item.

  If a claw has both strong melee stats and skill bonuses, its value increases further. Other skills such as Weapon Block, Mind Blast, Blade Fury, and Blade Shield also add to a claw's worth.

  Sorcerer Orb

  Some Sorcerer Orbs can provide +5 to various key skills via staff mods, which is very valuable for a Sorcerer. The best ones also come with up to 20% Faster Cast Rate, two sockets, and extra mana.

  Necromancer Wand

  Necromancer Wands can roll skill levels for Poison Nova, Bone Spirit, and Bone Spear, making them potentially usable. However, bone Necromancers still favor Runeword White, and a good Death's Web outperforms almost any rare item for poison Necromancers. Therefore, rare wands are largely ignorable.

  Paladin Scepter

  Two skill combinations are highly sought after on scepters:

  • For a Blessed Hammer Paladin: +5 to Blessed Hammer and +5 to Concentration

  Daggers can spawn various staff mods, but Diablo 2 Resurrected Runewords and certain unique weapons are clearly more competitive. For a Miasma Chain Warlock, rare daggers can indeed be used, but Runeword Void is typically preferred.

  For an Echoing Strike Warlock, an Ethereal two-handed weapon is better than a dagger (looking for the same affixes as melee weapons) because two-handers can achieve higher values. Overall, rare daggers are not very competitive for Warlocks.

  Shields

  Only a very few melee builds consider rare shields. For a shield to be valuable, it must have two sockets and very high defense. High enhanced damage alone is usually insufficient. A shield truly becomes competitive only if it is also Ethereal and carries self-repair.

  Deflecting suffix is excellent, providing 30% faster block rate and 20% increased chance of blocking. For Paladin shields, it is even better if they also include skill levels, along with affixes for enhanced damage and attack rating.

  For many players, rare items serve only as stepping stones. By the endgame, they usually follow their build guide for gear selection. However, if a rare item has all affixes useful to your build, it can still be very valuable.

  In Diablo 2 Resurrected, one of the most important endgame items is arguably Sunder Charm. There are many varieties, and their core function is to remove monster immunities. Although monsters still retain elemental resistances, this is enough to let you take them down swiftly.

  Before Season 13, Sunder Charms were relatively common. However, with the official adjustments made during that season, they have become extremely rare, and their value has soared. Let's take a look at what changed and how you can farm them.

  

  Sunder Charm

  Sunder Charms have undergone a major rework. There are currently two versions of Sunder Charm in the game:

  Latent Sunder Charm

  This is the version players were familiar with in the past. It still drops today, but the drop rate has been drastically reduced, making it extremely rare and highly valuable.

  Renewed Sunder Charm

  This is an enhanced version obtained by upgrading a Latent Sunder Charm through new endgame content. You will need to defeat Uber Colossal Ancients, then craft it using a Sunder Charm along with runes and other materials. Renewed Sunder Charm comes with powerful affixes, making it far stronger than Latent Sunder Charm.

  How to Get Sunder Charm?

  Magic Find

  The drop rate of Sunder Charms is directly tied to your character's Magic Find. Therefore, before you start farming Sunder Charms, the most important thing is to ensure your Magic Find reaches at least 300 points. Even with over 300 MF, you will still need to defeat an average of 150 or more Heralds to obtain one Sunder Charm.

  Alternatively, you can take advantage of Souls Dance easter egg to gain 4200 MF. In reality, this is only slightly better than 400–500 MF you can get from gear. The upside is that you can completely skip wearing MF equipment and instead stack pure damage or survival stats to improve farming efficiency.

  To optimally farm Heralds, you need to turn the entire game into a Terror Zone. In this situation, the easter egg becomes very useful.

  Player Count

  Heralds share a drop mechanism similar to that of Council Members - they drop many high-quality items, with a loot table somewhere between normal bosses and Council Members. Player Count not only affects Magic Find but also directly influences the drop rate.

  If you want Sunder Charms, a high Player Count is essential. Player Count works somewhat like Torment difficulty in Diablo 4 - it increases monster strength, while elite enemies and unique monsters drop more items.

  You don't necessarily need to crank it all the way to Player 8. Prioritize a setting where you can still defeat monsters comfortably, ensuring your farming efficiency remains high.

  Area Affixes

  Just like maps in Path of Exile, you need to pay attention to area affixes when farming. If Terror Zone has the Extra Strong affix, and you use a Worldstone Shard to turn the entire Act into a Terror Zone, then every monster in that Act gains Extra Strong affix (a 250% damage bonus), making them extremely dangerous. So you'll want to look for affixes that are not crippling - or even harmless - to your build. For example:

  • Fire Enchanted / Cold Enchanted / Light Enchanted: Increases global monster resistances; harmless for builds not using that element.
  • Spectral Hit: Adds small amounts of fire, cold, and lightning resistance and corresponding damage.
  • Extra Fast: Monsters will rush you more quickly, which can improve efficiency - but be cautious in Hardcore mode.
  • Stone Skin: Adds 50 physical resistance. Physical builds should avoid this.

  Draw the Ire of Herald

  To get Sunder Charms, your primary target is Herald. Enter Terror Zone, find and kill elite monsters - this will summon Herald. Elites are usually concentrated near the starting area of Terror Zone. Simply teleport around these areas and kill the elites you encounter.

  If a Herald appears quickly in your first Terror Zone and starts hunting you, that game is worth keeping. If not, restart the game, look for a favorable global affix, and repeat the process until you find a game where a Herald is drawn to you early.

  

  Terrorize the Entire Game

  Once you've quickly spawned your first Herald in a game with favorable affixes, use Worldstone Shards to turn the whole game into a Terror Zone. Each shard corresponds to one Act; you only need to right-click each shard once, and every Act in the game becomes a Terror Zone. Note: This method might be adjusted in the future, but for now it is the most efficient approach.

  Once the entire game is terrorized, Herald's level increases as you keep killing elites, up to a maximum of level five. You must stay in the same game and not exit, because Herald's level scales with the cumulative number of summons within that game. Higher-level Heralds have a greater chance to drop top-tier items - especially Sunder Charms.

  Farming Order

  Once you have spawned the first Herald (Lv1), prioritize the toughest, highest-damage monsters before reaching a level 5 Herald. Even at level five, monsters in Acts IV and V are stronger than their level 5 counterparts in earlier acts. Additionally, there are two special locations:

  • Act II Tal Rasha's Tombs: Contains a large number of elite monsters.
  • Act III Flayer Shaman: When a Flayer Shaman is fully spawned, the corpse beneath it generates an additional minion, effectively giving you two drop chances per kill.

  The ideal order is to first clear the initial Terror Zone (to quickly spawn the first Herald), then move to Acts IV and V, prioritizing elites in those acts to continue summoning higher-level Heralds. After you have summoned Heralds of Terror, go back to Acts III and II to farm even more Heralds.

  Keep in mind that the drop rate for Sunder Charms is very low. You may need to farm hundreds of Heralds in a row to get just one. So don't get impatient while farming, and may luck be on your side throughout the process.
