  It's a new week, and ARC Raiders trials have been updated. This week's trials aren't too difficult, and many players are expected to easily reach 150,000 to 200,000 points. Reaching 3 stars will reward you with an epic item.

  If you want to quickly complete Week 6 trials, solo play is recommended, as many players are friendly and there's less interference. If you're aiming for a high leaderboard score, a three-player team is recommended for greater efficiency. Also, compared to previous weeks, this week's reliance on Hidden Bunker map conditions is less significant.

  

  General Trials Tips

  It's recommended to play under major map conditions to obtain full points, including Hidden Bunker, Night Raids, and Electromagnetic Storms. Minor map conditions (such as Harvesters and Matriarchs) will only grant half the points.

  How To Complete Each Trial?

  Damage Hornets Trial

  It's recommended to start the trial under Hidden Bunker or Night Raids conditions. The easiest maps are Buried City or Spaceport under Night Raids conditions.

  Solo players can use Adrenaline Shots to quickly reach South or North Trench Tower under Spaceport Hidden Bunker conditions, then use the zipline to reach the top, set up barricades and traps, and carry plenty of ammunition for defense.

  This provides a high vantage point, making it difficult for other players to attack, and PvE enemies pose little threat. Furthermore, the top of the tower is above multiple Hornet Patrols and Snitches spawn points, continuously drawing enemy attention.

  If you spot Hornets and Wasps patrols, eliminate them all; this can significantly accelerate the spawn rate of new patrols. Shooting the center of the wasp's body will earn you approximately 760 points, while shooting the engine will only earn you about 365 points. For a high score, aim for the body.

This is a relatively difficult trial because, in actual gameplay, only about 10 supply crates may appear per round on average. If other players on the same server are also doing this task, the competition will be very fierce, and it may be difficult to find enough crates.

  Dam Battlegrounds map is recommended because it has 6 field supply stations. Furthermore, under Night Raids conditions, the points earned from transporting 4 batteries are doubled, equivalent to 8 during the day. There are usually 2 batteries near each field supply station, so completing two supply stations is sufficient. Completing all supply depots, delivering 2 batteries at each, will yield approximately 12,000 points.

  This trial requires 6 ARC Probes to be activated during the day, but only 3 are needed under major map conditions. It's recommended to do this in Electromagnetic Storm conditions of Dam Battlegrounds, as the map is more compact, and probes often spawn in groups of 2 or 3 during an Electromagnetic Storms, providing extra points.

  This trial has low requirements for ARC Raiders items, but it's recommended to carry a large number of Adrenaline Shots for fast movement.

  You only need to pay attention to the black smoke emitted by the probes and check the map frequently; even at a distance, zooming in will reveal them. Your task is to search for probes, not breach them. If a probe is already active, simply search for it directly; it's more efficient.

  That concludes Week 6 trials for ARC Raiders. Except for Deliver Carriables, this week's trials are relatively easy; you should be able to get three stars easily.

  Dear Raiders, as we officially enter December, the next major update is just around the corner: Cold Snap update, which we previously saw on the roadmap for December.

  While this update won't include a ton of new maps and content like North Line update a few weeks ago, it will still bring new gameplay experiences.

  Next, let's discuss the possible updates for the upcoming Cold Snap. However, the full patch hasn't been released yet; we're currently only speculating based on recent statements from the developers regarding ARC Raiders and the trailers revealed, to infer what issues they might be aware of and plan to address, as well as some clues about the game's future direction.

  

  Snowfall Map Condition

  First, this Cold Snap update will include a Snowfall Map Condition. Currently, our only understanding of this condition comes from a few outdoor snowy scenes shown in the game's launch trailer, but this area doesn't currently exist in ARC Raiders.

  Therefore, the prevailing speculation is that this is simply a preview of this important map condition. Its specific impact remains unknown.

  How Will It Work?

  Logically, we can predict it will probably be similar to Electromagnetic Storm, meaning it might affect multiple different maps, rather than being locked to a specific map like Spaceport's Hidden Bunker.

  We say this primarily because the official promotion claims it's a key part of December update, and adding a condition to only one map would be disappointing. Furthermore, blizzards shouldn't only occur in one place in the open world.

  However, this is all speculation, so we should proceed with caution. If it appears on all maps, or at least most, then its operation will probably be similar to other major map conditions like Night Raid and Electromagnetic Storm.

  Currently, no major map condition activates Raider Hatch, and all conditions provide double Trial Points. Therefore, we can assume the same applies to Snowfall.

  Furthermore, since Night Raid increases loot quality and blueprint drop rate, and Electromagnetic Storm may increase loot quality (although this is still debated), we expect Snowfall to also have one or more of these effects.

  

  What Are The Implications?

  Besides this, we can speculate on what Snowfall map condition might represent.

  Sound Effects

  Our first thought is sound effects. As we all know, ARC Raiders relies heavily on sound effects; players need to listen to their surroundings to perceive their environment. Therefore, sound is crucial in the game.

  Snow has excellent sound-absorbing properties, making sounds even quieter. Therefore, we can easily imagine the game covering all outdoor areas with a fresh layer of snow. This way, players will make almost no sound when walking in the snow. The snow will absorb most of the noise on the map.

  Footprints

  Besides, walking in the snow will naturally leave clearly visible footprints. Therefore, even if you can move almost silently in the snow, you will always leave a trail behind you, meaning other players can track you. This undoubtedly creates an extremely tense and exciting combat atmosphere, making you constantly worried about other players ambushing you from behind.

  Stamina Recovery & Mechanical Operation

  Weather and extreme cold may also cause slower stamina recovery, and players may need to buy ARC Raiders items like Adrenaline Shot in Snowfall environment to restore survivability. Of course, this is just speculation.

  This not only affects raiders but also ARCs. The cold and snow will slow down the operation of ARC mechanical parts, making them sluggish in every aspect, much like some event makes them easier to defeat.

  Or you could say that Snowfall has the opposite effect. Perhaps it prevents ARCs from overheating, allowing them to utilize more energy and maintain higher power for longer periods. Perhaps it's both.

  Overall, I think the most likely effects are sound and footprints. I think this is very predictable and fits the concept of snowfall perfectly. The other things I mentioned are actually just speculation. We don't really know.

  Snowfall May Increase The Drop Rate Of Certain Blueprints

  It's worth noting that each major map condition seems to significantly increase the drop rate of a super rare blueprint. For example, Tempest blueprint is generally considered easiest to find in Night Raid; Snap Hook blueprint is easiest to find during Electromagnetic Storm; and Bobcat blueprint is easiest to find during Locked Gate.

  So, during Snowfall's activation, which blueprint will generate more frequently? We would say Deadline Mine blueprint. Since the roadmap doesn't mention adding new weapons, it's unlikely to be a new weapon blueprint.

  Deadline Mine is a very powerful new item added in Patch 1.2, tied to a brand new map condition not yet in the game. The total number of blueprints has increased, meaning there should be a corresponding map condition that increases its drop rate.

  

  Flickering Flames Event

  Flickering Flames event is also listed in Cold Snap update section of the roadmap.

  However, the meaning of the word event is currently quite vague. Since its release, the only event officially referred to as an event in ARC Raiders is Breaking New Ground Event. It initially unlocked Stella Montis map and later evolved into a route where rewards were earned through XP.

  Therefore, Flickering Flames is likely just the next event where you can earn some small rewards for free, and they hope this type of event will continue.

  However, some believe it might be a small new event added to the map, such as Husk Graveyard, Matriarch, or Harvester.

  Expedition Departure Window To Be Launched

  Expedition Departure Window will also open around mid-December, and they will also add a Raider Deck. If Flickering Flames event works as we expect, it might launch simultaneously with this new battle pass, but we cannot be certain at this time.

  In Arc Raiders, the key to winning PvP battles is usually not who has the better aim, but who can make better decisions at every moment. Your reaction time and aiming ability are still important, but tactics and strategy are also crucial.

  

  Peeking Techniques

  Peeking is a key movement technique for proactively attacking enemies behind corners.

  Common Shoulder Peek

  The most basic shoulder peek technique involves directly exposing your body from the side of a corner to aim. Your movement speed is slow, weapon spread is minimal, and your shooting stability is high.

  However, this makes you extremely vulnerable to headshots (because you're only showing your head). If the opponent has a high-damage weapon, two headshots can take down a player equipped with Light or Medium Shields. This is the least recommended aggressive peeking technique.

  Slide Peek

  The Slide Peek is a highly recommended aggressive peeking method that involves sliding into a corner to attack.

  It significantly reduces the chance of being hit, especially by headshots. It can also be combined with a reverse dodge roll for a quick attack and retreat, making it difficult for the enemy to react. Slide Peek is particularly suitable for use with shotguns or short-range weapons like Stitcher, Bobcat, and Torrente.

  Additionally, at any point during the slide, you can immediately cancel the slide by performing a dodge roll in any direction, increasing mobility and making it even harder for the opponent to hit you, but this requires some practice.

  Jump Peek

  Jump Peek involves jumping over a corner to attack, catching the opponent off guard and disrupting their aim. It's extremely difficult for the opponent to headshot you, even more so than hitting a sliding player, effectively avoiding being taken down in two shots by high-damage ARC Raiders items. However, it's less effective against automatic weapons.

  Additionally, the forced automatic climbing mechanism might cause you to accidentally grab a nearby window sill or railing while jumping, resulting in an uncontrollable climbing animation that completely disrupts your offensive rhythm and positioning, leading to death.   Step-up Trick

  When you want to stand on an object shorter than your character's waist, use Vault command. Your character will simply step onto the object instead of performing a full vault animation. This gives you a better shooting view without exposing too much of your character by over-vaulting.

  See Through Smokes

  When two different smoke particles, such as those from a smoke grenade and those from an explosive, overlap, they create a hole at a specific angle, allowing you to see the silhouettes of enemies within the smoke.

  Arpeggio has the highest Headshot Multiplier in the game. Anvil, Osprey, and Ferro can achieve a two-shot headshot kill against players equipped with light and medium shields. Against heavy shields, an additional shot is required.

  You should avoid long-range attrition warfare. Engaging enemies at extremely long distances is futile, and they are not your real threat. It only wastes your shields, bandages, and ammo, and exposes your position to other teams.

  Even if you manage to knock down an enemy, the distance prevents you from quickly eliminating and looting them, and their teammates can easily revive them.

  Due to the large size of ARC Raiders map, precise aim doesn't offer much of an advantage; you should be more wary of encounters occurring nearby.
