ARC Raiders Extraction Tips | How To Evacuate And Avoid Ambushes Safely?

Category: ARC Raiders Posted: Dec 22, 2025 Views: 2962

In shooting games with extraction elements like ARC Raiders, the extraction phase can sometimes be more dangerous than looting or completing objectives, because you're likely to let your guard down, making you more susceptible to traps.

Unfortunately, if you die during extraction, you may lose all your ARC Raiders coins, wasting your previous efforts and significantly diminishing your gaming experience and enthusiasm.

While there are indeed rare ARC robots or unfriendly players near extraction points, most of these risks can be mitigated with a few tips, thus increasing your chances of successful extraction. Here are a few.

ARC Raiders Extraction Tips | How To Evacuate And Avoid Ambushes Safely?

What Are Extraction Points?

After completing missions or looting on any ARC Raiders map, you need to find one of the extraction points on the map to successfully leave and bring your resources back to your base.

All maps have Raider Hatches extraction points, and different maps also have other exclusive locations as extraction points.

When you decide to extract and call for an extraction point via the control panel, it will create a loud noise, alerting ARC robots and other real players, who will probably rush to attack you.

You must then defend yourself against enemies while quickly entering the extraction point, holding down the interaction key to start the extraction timer. Only after the tense countdown ends can you successfully extract with your loot.

The following are the currently known extraction points besides Raider Hatches:

  • Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport: cargo elevators
  • Buried City: metro stations
  • Blue Gate: airshafts
  • Stella Montis: metro stations and airshafts

Be Wary Of Everyone, Even Teammates

In ARC Raiders, traveling in groups is generally safer than going alone, and you can find more loot more easily. However, be careful; unless your teammates are your real-life friends, they might betray you at the last moment.

Some players, to save time, will ambush players near extraction points, earning loot more quickly by attacking those who are already loaded with resources. But if your teammates are temporary allies, it's hard to say whether they will also join this unethical group.

Compared to others, your teammates know your specific gains better, and if they suddenly betray you at the last moment, or even if you were one of their targets from the beginning, you're in great danger.

Therefore, when you're only temporarily teamed up with others, you should remain vigilant throughout and try to avoid choosing the same extraction point and route as your teammates.

However, if you really want to make new friends through temporary teaming, you can tell them your intentions at the beginning, and most people should respond sincerely.

Observe The Area Around The Extraction Point Patiently

Sometimes, you might rush straight to the exit when the alarm sounds at the extraction point because you're afraid of being surrounded - this is especially common among new players.

Some experienced players anticipate this and set up ambushes on common routes near the extraction point, waiting to steal your loot.

Therefore, we recommend that after you finish looting, don't rush to activate the extraction point immediately. Instead, observe whether there are other people or cover nearby, and only enter the extraction point when you are sure the area is safe.

If you approach an extraction point that has already been used by other players, the probability of an ambush nearby is higher. Even so, don't worry; find cover, wait, or scan the surroundings, and you might discover hidden enemies.

Interestingly, a third player might appear while you're waiting. If a clear conflict breaks out between the first and third players, you can take advantage of the chaos to extract first.

Avoid Popular Extraction Points

Although each map has many extraction points to choose from, the system will gradually lock down escape routes over time, making the atmosphere more tense.

This might lead you to gravitate towards the nearest extraction point or run around haphazardly, making you more susceptible to ambush or accidental friendly fire in a chaotic fight.

Therefore, we recommend that in the mid-to-late stages of a battle, you pay attention to the surrounding terrain and player movements, and plan a clear escape route as early as possible, ideally targeting an extraction point that is far from the crowd and has fewer resources.

Pay Attention To Traces Left By Others

Although slightly insidious, the practice of ambushing others at extraction points to gain an advantage is now commonplace in ARC Raiders, and from another perspective, it also makes the game more exciting.

Because of this, many players have become very skilled at concealing their movements and are incredibly patient with their "prey," making it difficult to track or avoid them.

However, in special terrain or buildings, even the most skilled hunter cannot achieve complete invisibility, because if they want to ambush someone there, they must first kill the robots in the area, which will inevitably leave behind remains.

Therefore, when evacuating in such environments, be sure to carefully observe everything around you. This attentiveness may very well save you and your teammates in a critical moment.

Don't Get Carried Away With Looting

While searching rooms and containers on the map for loot is certainly fun, ARC Raiders has a time limit. You must evacuate before the time runs out, otherwise the outcome will likely be death, and all the loot you've collected will be wasted.

More importantly, the later in the game it gets, the fewer evacuation points there are. If you're unlucky enough to only have one evacuation point left that's very far away, you might not even make it there before time runs out.

Therefore, during exploration, be sure to pay attention to the time, plan your route in advance, and evacuate at the appropriate time. Don't try to hold out until the last minute.

That's all the information we have for you this time. Wishing you successful extractions on every ARC Raiders mission!
