ARC Raiders Mobility Skill Tree Guide | Best Skills To Unlock First
Category: ARC Raiders Posted: Dec 26, 2025 Views: 5454
In ARC Raiders, to become stronger, besides venturing to the surface to scavenge resources and continuously leveling up, investing in and unlocking new abilities on the skill tree is also crucial. This will help you survive more raids.
Currently, the game's skill tree is mainly divided into three branches, each enhancing different aspects of gameplay:
- Conditioning (Green): Improves physical fitness, stamina, and carrying capacity.
- Mobility (Yellow): Improves movement, speed, and evasion.
- Survival (Red): Focuses on improving scavenging efficiency, stealth, and crafting abilities.
Each branch corresponds to a specific playstyle, but an efficient raider needs to invest skill points in all three categories. You can customize your character's strengths based on your needs for combat, exploration, or stealth.
We know that for some new players, the skill tree might seem overwhelming at first glance, but there are some skills that early players should prioritize unlocking. This is especially true for Mobility Tree, which is almost directly related to your survival. These skills can not only help you escape combat more easily but also allow you to surprise unsuspecting raiders.
For these reasons, almost everyone will invest at least 20 skill points in Mobility skill section. But is every skill here worth unlocking? Not really. So, let us show you the actual effects of each skill on Mobility skill tree in the game, so you can decide whether they are worth investing in based on your playstyle. Let's take a look!

Nimble Climber
First is Nimble Climber. In ARC Raiders, this skill allows your raider to climb and vault over obstacles faster, significantly increasing movement speed on the map. It's also a key prerequisite for unlocking more advanced mobility skills.
To be honest, we initially thought this skill was more effective, but after frame-by-frame testing and analysis, we found that it only provides about a 7% speed increase. More importantly, you can't draw your weapon while jumping over obstacles, so this skill isn't as practical as it seems. We often unlock it simply to access the more advanced skills later.
Marathon Runner & Youthful Lungs
Next are two Stamina skill nodes: Marathon Runner and Youthful Lungs. As is well known, maintaining stamina is crucial in the game; if you run out of stamina during combat, you'll be eliminated.
With Marathon Runner skill, you consume less stamina while moving. This not only makes combat easier to manage but also makes general exploration much easier, as you can sprint for longer. Youthful Lungs also makes your raids easier by increasing your maximum stamina.
Combined, these two skills allow you to maintain mobility in this dangerous surface world, better evade threats, and move faster. I'm sure no one would pass up these skills!
Slip And Slide
This skill allows you to slide further and faster, improving mobility, but it has significant diminishing returns, meaning that even if you invest many points to max it out, it will provide almost no additional benefit on flat ground.
Fortunately, it slightly extends your sliding distance on slopes. So, Slip and Slide skill is still somewhat useful for quick escapes or traversing terrain. However, overall, the effectiveness of this skill is situational, and its overall cost-effectiveness is not high. Since it consumes stamina to perform, we don't recommend investing in it unless you have leftover skill points.
Sturdy Ankles
In ARC Raiders, Sturdy Ankles reduces the damage taken from falling from non-lethal heights, allowing you to lose less health when jumping from high places.
However, its effect is not significant; even at the highest level, it only reduces a small amount of damage and doesn't completely protect you from lethal falls. Therefore, many players consider this a low-priority skill, as they usually prefer to completely avoid fall damage through dodging or rolling, but it does provide some safety for exploratory jumps.
Carry The Momentum
The usefulness of this next skill is also somewhat situational. Carry The Momentum skill allows you to sprint for a short time after performing a Sprint Dodge Roll without consuming stamina, providing a crucial burst of speed for escaping danger or closing the distance in combat.
Although this movement buff is great for quickly creating distance after a roll or dodging threats, making you harder to target, we don't actually see the benefits of this skill most of the time, because usually, if we're just rolling to dodge, the situation doesn't require straight-line sprinting.
Not only that, but the skill also has a long cooldown. This means that if your stamina runs out after a Sprint Dodge Roll, or you roll again, it cancels the skill, and you still have to wait for the cooldown.
Calming Stroll
Unlike regular movement skills, Calming Stroll is primarily used to keep you jogging, which significantly speeds up your stamina recovery.
However, many players find it inefficient because the slow walking speed is often not worth it compared to simply jogging; more importantly, using this skill requires you to manually use the walk key and cannot be used while aiming, so it actually slows down your overall speed.
Crawl Before You Walk
After such disappointing experiences, let's look at some truly useful skills.
In ARC Raiders, Crawl Before You Walk increases your character's movement speed while downed, helping you crawl to cover, to teammates for rescue, or to extraction points faster, thus increasing your survival chances or securing loot. This skill is very useful if you're playing with friends.
Additionally, if you have Looting Mk. 3 (Survivor) Augment, you can also use it to reach extraction points faster. This skill is very useful in many situations, but I think many people overlook it because they don't know that you can still move while being revived.
Effortless Roll
This skill reduces the stamina cost of Dodge Rolls, allowing you to use rolls more frequently to dodge enemies, especially in intense firefights; where you could only perform three dodge rolls before, now you can perform five. And now, recovering from a roll doesn't consume any stamina!
Off The Wall
In Mobility Tree, Off The Wall isn't exactly a game-changing skill, but it does allow you to perform some jumps that would otherwise be impossible. This skill enhances your wall-climbing and jumping abilities, allowing you to jump further after climbing or vaulting over walls, giving you more options for parkour and repositioning in the environment.
It's part of an advanced movement system that allows you to quickly jump off platforms, gaining greater jump distance or height, which is crucial for traversing complex terrain and escaping danger in the game.
Honestly, this skill, which truly expands your movement capabilities on the map, is very interesting. However, currently, there aren't many places in the game where you can truly utilize this skill, so you need to be creative.
Heroic Leap
Regarding Heroic Leap, although it claims to allow you to sprint, dodge, and roll further, testing shows that the distance increase it provides is minimal and almost imperceptible. Therefore, it is generally considered a poorly performing skill and a waste of skill points.
Ready To Roll
Normally, you can quickly roll to mitigate some fall damage, but with Ready To Roll, you increase the number of milliseconds you have to correctly press the button when falling from a height, making it more forgiving and improving the reliability of parkour and rapid movement.
This is essentially an optimization that enhances the gameplay experience, helping you better time your crouch/roll upon landing, thus avoiding injury or even death from falls.
Vigorous Vaulter
Vigorous Vaulter is definitely worth having. It prevents your jumping and climbing speed from decreasing when you are exhausted, allowing you to remain agile even when your stamina is depleted. Especially when combined with skills like Vaults on Vaults on Vaults, it can completely eliminate the stamina cost of jumping, making your movement smoother and increasing your climbing speed by 10% to 25%.
Vaults On Vaults On Vaults & Vault Spring
Finally, we'll mention the two ultimate skills in Mobility skill tree.
Vaults on Vaults on Vaults and Vault Spring work very well together. The former is primarily for climbing and grabbing ledges, but it also grants you a free sprint jump every time you use Vault Spring, significantly increasing your horizontal and vertical movement distance, allowing for quick obstacle traversal or repositioning.
In addition, Vaults on Vaults on Vaults itself allows you to climb continuously without worrying about running out of stamina, and also allows you to continuously use any movement techniques that require grabbing ledges, including grabbing onto ledges to avoid fall damage. This enhances your momentum and helps you move quickly through complex terrain.
The above is a comprehensive overview of all the skill nodes in Mobility tree in ARC Raiders. For players who prioritize mobility, these nodes are what you need to focus on. Early mobility skills can significantly improve your abilities, allowing you to play more smoothly before focusing on other skill trees.
Fortunately, the developers have provided greater flexibility in each raider's skill tree setup. Even if you are later dissatisfied with your current skill choices, you can reset individual nodes by spending 2000 ARC Raiders coins. This means that resetting the entire skill tree would cost 152,000 coins.
We understand that this is a large sum of coins for many players, but there's good news! To celebrate Christmas, IGGM is offering all ARC Raiders players an exclusive discount code XMAS, giving you a 10% discount on coin orders here until December 31st! So hurry up and give it a try!
