AION 2's first Global Halloween event is scheduled to begin on October 14, 2026, just nine days after the game's global launch. NC revealed the date during its October 9 developer livestream, but the full event details and reward list have yet to be announced.

For players settling into Atreia, the timing could hardly be better. The launch rush is still underway, server transfers are approaching, and the first seasonal celebration is about to give Daevas something new to look forward to beyond their usual progression.
Will AION 2 bring back the original game's Halloween traditions? Could players see exclusive costumes, transformation items, or special seasonal activities? None of these features has been confirmed yet, but the series' history offers a few interesting possibilities.
Here's what players should know before the event begins.
AION 2 Halloween Event: What's Confirmed?
The key information currently available is straightforward:
-
Event start date: October 14, 2026.
-
Announcement: October 9 developer livestream.
-
Rewards and activities: Not yet fully revealed.
-
Event end date: Not yet confirmed.
Players should wait for NC's official event notice before making plans around specific rewards, dungeons, or quests. At the moment, there is no confirmed list of Halloween costumes, transformation items, event currencies, or drop rates for AION 2.
That uncertainty is also part of the anticipation. A limited-time event can be especially appealing when it introduces cosmetics or collectibles that players cannot obtain through ordinary progression. Whether NC goes for a compact seasonal celebration or a more involved event remains to be seen.
With server transfers scheduled to begin around the same time, October 14 is already an important date for the newly launched MMORPG.
Will AION 2 Bring Back the Original Halloween Events?
Veterans of the original AION have good reason to be curious about the upcoming celebration. The franchise has a history of seasonal events built around candy hunts, mischievous NPCs, pumpkin-themed encounters, and Halloween transformations.
One of the most recognizable traditions is Harvest Revel, which has appeared in earlier versions of AION.
Past celebrations featured the Pumpkin King, whose encounters could require special Candy Blasts rather than ordinary attacks. Players could also pursue seasonal rewards and try Halloween transformation items, including appearances inspired by pumpkins, mummies, and other monsters.
The original AION Classic events also featured the Shulack Sugarcrooks, who stole seasonal treats and sent players on quests to recover them. These activities gave players something different from the usual cycle of grinding, gearing up, and fighting for faction objectives.
For longtime fans, the appeal of seeing these ideas return is easy to understand. A familiar transformation or a reference to Harvest Revel could bring back memories of earlier adventures in Atreia, while giving newer players their first experience of the series' Halloween traditions.
However, none of these legacy features has been confirmed for AION 2's 2026 Halloween event. NC could revisit an established concept, introduce an entirely new activity, or take a different approach altogether.
The more interesting question is whether AION 2 can create its own seasonal traditions rather than simply recreate the past.
Halloween Costumes, Transformation Items, or a Special Dungeon?
Until the official reward list arrives, three possibilities stand out as things players may want to see.
Exclusive Halloween cosmetics
A limited-time costume, pumpkin-themed headgear, or another distinctive appearance would give collectors a clear reason to participate. For players who spend time customizing their Daevas, an event-exclusive item can be more memorable than a temporary consumable.
Halloween transformation items
Transformation candies were part of earlier AION Halloween celebrations. Bringing a similar idea to AION 2 could add some fun to the season, particularly if players could show off their temporary appearances while exploring Atreia or spending time with their legions.
Special quests or dungeon rewards
A seasonal quest chain or event-specific encounter could give players a break from their normal progression. Rewards would ultimately determine how much time players are willing to invest, especially if the event runs for only a limited period.
These are possibilities, not confirmed features. Players should check NC's announcement for the actual activities, eligibility requirements, and reward conditions once the details become available.
October 14 Will Be Busy: Check These Deadlines First
The Halloween event is not the only thing arriving around October 14. Players also need to account for server-transfer arrangements and expiring launch rewards.
The most urgent deadline is the TAKEFLIGHTAION2 promotional code, which is scheduled to expire on October 13 at 11:00 PM PDT, equivalent to October 14 at 8:00 AM CEST. The scheduled maintenance is listed for October 13 at 11:30 PM PDT / October 14 at 8:30 AM CEST, so players should redeem the code well before maintenance begins.
The code provides launch rewards, including Odyle Energy, Resurrection Spiritstones, and Battle Enhancement Scrolls.
The global-launch Twitch Drops campaign is scheduled to run through October 16, giving players a little more time to earn its watch-time rewards.
Server transfers also begin after maintenance, but the first phase is restricted to eligible Early Access servers. Regular Launch Servers have a separate transfer window beginning October 21. Transfers are subject to regional, faction, and server-category restrictions, so players planning to move should check the official rules before committing.
These deadlines are worth handling before attention shifts to Halloween. There is little point in missing a launch reward while waiting for an event whose full details have not yet been announced.
Prepare for AION 2 Halloween Event
Until NC explains how the event works, there is no need to stockpile items or spend resources based on unconfirmed mechanics.
A few simple steps should be enough:
-
Check AION 2's official news channels for the complete Halloween announcement.
-
Redeem the TAKEFLIGHTAION2 code before its expiration deadline.
-
Earn and claim any remaining eligible Twitch Drops rewards within the applicable campaign windows.
-
Check the server-transfer rules if your character or legion may be moving.
Once the event details are available, players can decide whether they need to make room for seasonal rewards, complete specific prerequisites, or adjust their schedules to collect limited-time items.
For collectors in particular, checking the event's end date and any item expiration rules will be important. A reward that looks ordinary during the first few days may become much harder to obtain once the event closes.
Save Your Points: An AION 2 Halloween Bundle Is Coming to IGGM
There is another Halloween development worth watching beyond the in-game festivities.
IGGM is preparing an Halloween bundle for its Coupon Center, with a planned offer that lets players exchange a small number of accumulated points for a substantial amount of Aion 2 Kinah.
The full redemption details will be available when the offer goes live. Until then, players who regularly stock IGGM points may want to hold on to their balance rather than spend it all on smaller rewards.
Kinah remains an important resource for character progression and everyday in-game expenses. An opportunity to exchange accumulated points for a larger Kinah reward could be particularly appealing to players who want more flexibility as they continue building their characters.
The bundle is not yet available for redemption, so the exact point requirement, reward amount, and redemption conditions should be checked once the offer is published.
Start saving your points now and keep an eye on IGGM Coupon Center around Halloween. The AION 2 bundle is another reason to look forward to the seasonal period.
What Do You Want From AION 2's First Global Halloween Event?
October 14 is approaching, but the rewards remain the biggest unanswered question.
Would you rather see exclusive Halloween costumes, transformation candies, a special dungeon, or a return of the original AION's Harvest Revel traditions? And if NC introduces limited-time collectibles, which rewards would be worth spending extra time in Atreia to obtain?
Share your predictions with other Daevas while we wait for the full announcement.
AION 2's first Global Halloween event is scheduled to begin on October 14. The activities and rewards are still under wraps, but players already have a date to watch—and a few points worth saving before the festivities begin.
