Once you reach Level 45, you should focus on improving your GS and damage while preparing to enter Dungeons. Arcana Cards are useful during leveling, but they become one of the key ways to increase damage and GS during the mid-to-late game.

Arcana Cards are Aion 2's late-game card equipment system. By equipping and enhancing cards, you can increase special stats, skill levels, and set effects. Let's take a look at how to obtain and equip Arcana Cards.

What Is Arcana Card?

The core function of Arcana Cards is to provide skill levels. You can equip five cards at the same time, and they will provide additional skill levels.

Their real strength comes from reaching skill level 16, which unlocks the fifth Specialization Effect for that skill.

Most classes have skills that unlock an additional chain, reduce cooldowns, or reduce the cooldown of another ability when they reach Level 16. This makes Arcana Cards extremely powerful overall.

Different Arcana Cards have different skill pools. Some cards only provide passive skills, while others only provide active skills, and Chalice can provide both. Chalice is also the most difficult card for obtaining a specific desired skill, with roughly a 1-in-18 chance of rolling the skill you want.

Parchment and Compass each have six Mutually Exclusive Skills. To check which skills a card can roll, open Transmute tab, select Parchment or Compass, and then check the Additional Effects. You can preview the available skills this way even if you do not own the card yet.

Empyrean Lord Stats

In addition to skills, Arcana Cards can also provide Empyrean Lord Stats. These are different from regular stats such as attack, defense, HP, and accuracy because they provide additional character enhancements through Empyrean Lord system.

Depending on Empyrean Lord, you can gain increases to Combat Speed, Move Speed, MP, or HP.

However, this is more of a late-game system. During the mid-game, the main priority is still to raise key skills to Level 16 and Level 20 first. Once you begin fine-tuning your character, you can then consider the stats provided by your cards.

How to Get Arcana Cards?

The current Aion 2 global version has Transcendence Dungeons, which all drop Arcana Cards, although the types of cards they drop are different.

• Shattered Arkanis: Drops Chalice, Parchment, and Mirror.
• Deus Research Base: Drops Chalice, Compass, and Bell.

Because different cards have different skill pools, if your class needs a specific skill, you will need to run the dungeon that drops the corresponding card.

When choosing a Dungeon, check which card contains your target skill. It is recommended to prioritize Arcana Cards that improve active skills, because passive skills provide less of a power increase during the mid-game and are more relevant to later progression.

Rarity and Enhancement

All Arcana Cards have four rarities: Gray, Green, Blue, and Gold. Gold cards are rare late-game cards and are extremely difficult to obtain.

Different rarities have different starting skill counts and GS bonuses:

• Gray: 1 skill, fixed 20 GS.
• Green: 2 skills, fixed 40 GS.
• Blue: 3 skills, fixed 60 GS.
• Gold: 4 skills, fixed 80 GS.

Different rarities also have different Enhancement limits:

• Gray Cards (Common): Can be Enhanced up to +2, with a maximum of 3 skills.
• Green Cards (Uncommon): Can be Enhanced up to +3. Additional skills are unlocked during Enhancement, with a maximum of 4 skills.
• Blue Cards (Rare): Can be Enhanced up to +4. They start with 3 skills, unlock a fourth skill during Enhancement, and then randomly select an existing skill and increase its Level with further Enhancements.
• Gold Cards (Unique): Can be Enhanced up to +5. They start with 4 skills, and subsequent Enhancements randomly select an existing skill and increase its Level.

Because a single Arcana Card can have a maximum of 4 skills, once all skill slots are filled, further Enhancements will randomly increase the Level of an existing skill. This makes it relatively easy to push skills toward Level 20.

Enhancement interface displays the new effects and their chances, and it also indicates when certain effects can grow randomly. Enhancement requires other cards as Infusion Materials.

Crafting Arcana Cards

You can find Crafting and Transmute options in Arcana menu. The main material required for crafting is Mysterious Crystal.

In the crafting interface, you can select the type of card you want to craft, such as Bell or Compass, as well as the set. You can even try to lock in a specific skill required by your class.

Crafting requires materials and Aion 2 Kinah, while the resulting card will still have a random rarity, specific stats, and skill effects. If you want to guarantee a specific skill, the crafting requirements will increase significantly.

How to Get Mysterious Crystal?

The main source of Mysterious Crystal is extracting Arcana Cards you no longer need. You can also obtain it from the season shop, where each Crystal costs 25,000 season coins.

Ascension Trial in Seasonal Challenges also rewards Mysterious Crystal. If your highest score is 4,000 points, you can obtain 3 Mysterious Crystals, but you must complete the 2,000 Gear Score version.

If you have not reached 2,000 Gear Score, you can only run the normal version, which has a maximum score of around 3,100 and only rewards 2 Crystals.

This is a one-time achievement, so the timing does not matter. Later, when you reach 5,000 points in the Extreme version, you will receive 1 additional Crystal.

The value system of Arcana Cards is not complicated. You simply need to choose Transcendence Dungeons and cards based on the skills you want to improve. Focus on increasing skill levels first, then work toward obtaining more suitable stats later in the game.

In the Aion 2 combat environment, a well-designed macro can significantly reduce the burden of operations, allowing players to focus more on positioning and battlefield judgment. However, the game's built-in macro system is explained rather briefly, leaving many players confused upon first encounter.

To truly master macro, the key lies in understanding Skill Priority and the macro's operational logic, and prioritizing them appropriately based on the actual situation of skills. Below, we'll start with basic settings and, considering the practical needs of different class roles, introduce how to create more user-friendly macro.

Prerequisite Settings: Ensuring Macro System Works Properly

Before creating a macro, several key settings must be adjusted; otherwise, the macro may not function correctly.

First, go to Settings, select Key Settings, switch to General tab, and scroll down to Gameplay area. Here you can find Macro option, which is unbound by default.

It is recommended to assign it to a key that can be easily held down with one finger, as you will need to continuously hold down this key throughout the combat to keep the macro running. Mouse 3 or Mouse 4 are common choices. If the mouse doesn't have extra buttons, you can also choose a button on the keyboard near the movement keys.

Next, pay attention to Skill Queue settings. In General Control Mode, find Skill Queue and turn it off. When Skill Queue is enabled, the game attempts to buffer skill input, but in scenarios where macro are running, this can interfere with cooldown management and animation cancellation accuracy, causing some skills to not trigger in the expected order. Disabling it will make macro execution cleaner and more efficient.

Core Mechanism: Skill Priority

Aion 2's hotbar system and Macro system are actually two working together. Understanding their relationship is a prerequisite for building effective macro.

Skill Order refers to the vertical stacking of skills in the same hotbar slot. Each hotbar slot can hold a maximum of 4 skills. When the player presses the button corresponding to that slot, the game will first try to use the skill at the bottom.

If that skill is on cooldown or its activation condition is not met, the system will automatically check the next skill upwards, and so on, until a currently available skill is found. This means that skill arrangement is essentially a priority system, not a fixed combo - skills at the bottom have the highest priority, decreasing as you move upwards.

Macro are another layer of mechanism. They allow you to repeatedly trigger multiple hotbar slots in the background by holding down a designated macro key. In other words, the macro handles the repeated pressing of multiple keys, while the skill order determines which skill is used first on a given key.

Both can be used in combination: register multiple hotbar slots within a macro, with each slot having its own skill priority order. That is, the order of slots registered in the macro determines the trigger order of the skill group, while the skill order within each slot determines which skill in that group is used first.

Understanding this, the logic of building macro becomes clear - the most important thing is not simply stuffing all the skills in, but observing the cooldown time, resource consumption, animation time, and usage conditions of each skill, and then rationally arranging their priorities.

Core Principles of Skill Selection and Sorting

As we know from the above, the most critical decisions in macro building are which skills to put in the macro and in what order. A well-designed skill rotation not only improves combat efficiency but also provides a smoother gaming experience for players during daily monster grinding, leveling, and accumulating Aion 2 Kinah.

Cooldown Determines Skill Order

This is the most error-prone part. Macro execution logic works like this: starting from the first skill slot, if the skill in that slot is available, it's executed; otherwise, it jumps to the next slot. Therefore, the skill with the longest cooldown should be placed at the very beginning of the macro (the first slot to trigger), followed by skills with shorter cooldowns or instant casts. If a basic attack with no cooldown is placed at the beginning, it will always be available, causing the macro to never execute subsequent skills.

Which skills are suitable for macro?

Attack skills with no cooldown and skills with short cooldowns are the best partners for macro; they provide reliable filler damage.

The following types of skills are recommended for manual control:

• Long-cooldown buff skills and Stigma skills: If used automatically by macro while clearing mobs, they may enter cooldown before they are ready to face a boss.
• Emergency mana regeneration skills: Use them flexibly based on current MP consumption to avoid unnecessary premature cooldowns.
• Movement and defensive skills: Release them flexibly based on the current battle situation and enemy actions to avoid being unable to respond at crucial moments due to automatic macro use.

Macro Configuration References

Different classes have very different skill combinations and resource mechanisms, and macro configurations need to be adapted accordingly. Below are some macro configuration ideas representing melee burst, melee sustained DPS, tank, and ranged DPS classes, respectively.

Assassin

In Aion 2, the core output of Assassins relies on backstab positioning and critical hit triggers. The recommended macro sequence is: Insignia Explosion → Heart Gore → Savage Roar

These three are arranged according to the principle of longest to shortest cooldown: Insignia Explosion, as a burst skill, has the longest cooldown, while Savage Roar has a shorter cooldown or comes with a buff effect.

Quick Slice should be kept on a separate key and manually held down, not included in a macro. As a basic attack, it not only reliably restores MP but also allows for animation cancellation between macro skills, improving the overall output rhythm.

Buff skills such as Illusive Clone and Swift Contract should be manually activated before engaging in combat. Movement skills such as Shadowstrike must also be manually controlled, as when to teleport behind an enemy needs to be judged based on the battlefield situation.

Gladiator

Gladiator's macro configuration is relatively simple. It is recommended to build around three core skills: Rage Burst → Overhead Slam → Rending Blow

Rage Burst has the longest cooldown and is placed first; Overhead Slam and Rending Blow are arranged in order as the main rotation output skills. Basic attacks should be reserved for manual left-click use, for mana regeneration and animation cancellation. While Ruinous Blow deals extremely high damage, its long cooldown suggests leaving it outside of macro and manually casting it at crucial moments.

Templar

As a tank, Templar macro have a different design goal than DPS classes. Combat macro should build a stable threat rotation around Vicious Strike and Shield Smite. Defiance, as an emergency crowd control and defensive skill, should never be buried in regular attack macro and must be used manually in dangerous situations.

It's worth noting that Templar is recommended to use target lock mode rather than action combat mode, as precise boss facing is crucial in the tank role.

Ranger

Rangers are highly sensitive to network latency, and macro systems can effectively mitigate skill combos caused by high latency. It's recommended to bind the macro panel to the mouse side button, building a skill chain of Gale Arrow → Marking Shot → Snare Shot. Set a delay of 10 to 20 milliseconds between each skill; if latency is high, the interval can be adjusted to 40 milliseconds.
