It has been nearly two months since the launch of WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 2, and Phase 3 is not far off.
The content in Phase 3 is remarkably rich. Beyond the two raids - Black Temple and Mount Hyjal - there is also Netherwing faction reputation and Tier 6 armor sets.
If you simply wait idly for Phase 3 to arrive, you will miss a great deal of valuable time. There are many tasks you can tackle ahead of time, ranging from material management and reputation quests to consumable stockpiling and PvP gear. Preparing early will give you a significant edge.

WoW TBC Anniversary Phase 2 Materials
Rare Gems
Rare Gems have generated decent income for many players, but their value is confined to Phase 2 alone. You can sell them off right now, because Phase 3 will introduce Epic Gems along with their brand-new Epic Designs.
Although not every player will be able to afford Epic Gems, this could still lead to a substantial drop in the market value of rare gems.
By selling your Rare Gems before the impact of Epic Gems hits, you avoid asset shrinkage and also secure ample gold for the epic gems you will need in Phase 3. Whether for PvE or PvP gear, you will need to socket a large number of epic gems.
Older Epic Crafted Items
Based on experience from The Burning Crusade Classic Phase 3 in 2022, the value of Epic Crafted Items will visibly decline. The reason lies in the fact that Black Temple and Mount Hyjal will drop many new epic crafting patterns, and players' main focus will shift toward the newer equipment. The older items cannot match the stats of the new ones, so naturally few players will continue using them. Therefore, selling them early is a wise move.
Attunement Quests
Black Temple Attunement Quest
The attunement quest for Black Temple needs to be started as early as possible. The first phase of the quest unfolds in Shadowmoon Valley.
Players who choose to side with Aldor should head to the northern part of Shadowmoon Valley, while those aligned with Scryers should go south.
You need to complete as many related quests as you can until you receive the follow-up step. You will then have to enter Mount Hyjal, the new raid that opens simultaneously with Phase 3. Only after defeating Rage Winterchill inside Mount Hyjal and looting the quest item will you truly finish Black Temple attunement quest.
Mount Hyjal Attunement Quest
The prerequisite for entering Mount Hyjal Raid is much simpler. You first pick up the quest in Caverns of Time in Tanaris. Note that your reputation with Keepers of Time must reach Honored.
Soridormi will ask you to defeat the final bosses of Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep, looting the respective quest items from each. Once you have done that, return to Caverns of Time to turn in the quest, and you will qualify to enter Mount Hyjal.
Consumables
Major Shadow Protection Potion
In WoW BCC Anniversary Phase 3, Major Shadow Protection Potion is without a doubt one of the essential potions. It proves extremely useful against Mother Shahraz in Black Temple, so you can reasonably stockpile some.
However, do not blindly hoard them from the auction house; always check the gold value they are listed at. Normally, this potion is worth around 7 to 9 gold. If the listing exceeds that range, there is no need to accumulate more.
If too many players stockpile them, or if actual demand turns out lower than expected, their value could plummet once Phase 3 goes live. Moreover, many raid groups may directly use Cauldron of Major Shadow Protection to supply raid-wide potions, which further affects the demand for Major Shadow Protection Potion.
Super Mana Potion
Super Mana Potion is a must-have for healers and becomes especially important during prolonged encounters.
Its demand is likely to rise. Previously, many players relied on Bottled Nethergon Energy, which was usable in Tempest Keep but will not work in the new raids of Phase 3. Once that alternative becomes obsolete, the need for Super Mana Potion will inevitably increase.
If you are unable to stockpile these potions, don't worry; you can buy WoW TBC Classic Anniversary gold from IGGM to prepare, as other players will certainly be selling these potions.
Reputation Grinding
If you have spare time, it is strongly recommended to push your reputations with The Sha'tar, Cenarion Expedition, and either Aldor or Scryers all the way to Exalted.
When all three of these factions reach Exalted, you will be able to exchange Mark of the Illidari for Flasks in Phase 3. These marks can be obtained from raid bosses in Phases 5 and 6, which will give you more flexibility in acquiring Flasks at that time.
PvP
Do not forget to actively participate in Battlegrounds and farm substantial amounts of Honor and Battleground Marks. When Season 3 begins, you can immediately use that Honor to purchase Offset Pieces, instantly boosting your PvP effectiveness.
Even if you have just reached the level cap recently, farming Honor is still worthwhile. After Season 3 launches, you can go to Stormwind City or Orgrimmar and directly trade Honor for season 1 gear.
Nether Drake Mount
Nether Drake mount from Phase 3 will become obtainable soon, but it requires completing a rather long quest chain and grinding reputation. You can head to Shadowmoon Valley to start the quest line.
Although you cannot finish all the steps at the moment, you can progress quite far along the chain. Once Phase 3 officially arrives, you will be able to quickly unlock Daily Quests and begin efficiently grinding Netherwing reputation, earning that cool flying mount before long.
These are all the preparations you can make for TBC Anniversary Phase 3. Doing so will place you among the leading group of players and give you a remarkably clear advantage.
